A/N: The only problem with the hominus nocturna is that we don't sleep at night. (yawns) It's booooooring(ends yawn)
Inuyasha sat down on the floor after setting down the last peice of furniture and looked up at the sleeping Kagome. 'She looks so peaceful.' He sighed looking at his watch. 'It's too bad I have to wake her up.' He stood up, still looking down at the sleeping cat demon who was now curled around a pillow, purring in her sleep. (Think sleeping cat...but bigger) 'God, she's cute.' He sighed again as he closed the door silently before knocking on it.
The neko woke with a start, jumping to all fours, the hair on the back of her neck standing up and her back arched as she hissed. She began to relax though, as she looked around to see that she was back in her room. There was another knock at the door...or not.
"Oi! Kagome! Time to go!" She looked at her watch. She had half an hour to get to school! She ran around as fast as she could and somehow managed to get dressed in under five minutes. There was another knock at the door, "OI!KA-" She opened the door abruptly and cut the hanyou off by throwing a shoe at him and closing the door again,
A few seconds later she opened the door again and walked out, combing her hair. "I'll take that," she said nonchelantly, plucking her shoe out of the now pissed off hanyou's hand and putting it on. When she finished tying her shoe she looked at her watch again to see that she only had ten minutes left. "Inuyasha!" she half whined. "You made me late to school."
The hanyou pulled on his backpack and turned to her. "Lesson One: Running, Jumping, and Dodging." She looked at him, confused as she followed him outside onto the driveway where they passed his motorcycle and walked onto the sidewalk.
"Shouldn't we take your bike?" the cat asked looking around.
"Nope. Running's faster."
"What?" her ear flicked.
"Watch." She let out a small squeeking sound when he grabbed her by the waist and jumped from where he was standing to the roof of a building across the street.
"How'd you do that?" The demon opened her eyes and looked around.
"Just focus. Put all of your energy into your legs and let it go all at the same time." Kagome watched him as he demonstrated and landed on a roof across the street. "Now you try," he yelled.
She shook her head.
"I'll catch you if you fall. Don't worry!" She seemed to be somehow reassured by his words. She took a couple of steps back and closed her eyes, concentrating. She pushed all of the strength that she had into her legs and took a running start before leaping from the edge of the roof just to fall halfway across.
True to his word, Inuyasha ran as fast as he could to the edge of his roof and dove straight down, flipping in mid-air, and landing with an earthshattering bang on the ground below the cat as she fell. A few seconds later he was holding her bridal style in his arms. He looked down at her to see that she had fallen unconcsious during the fall. 'crap! o well. Lesson's over. Time to get to school.' He carried her motionless form the rest of the way to the demon school.
As he walked in, he noticed his ex-girlfriend, Kikyo, a tiger demon, sitting on the steps. "Found another student, huh, Yash?" The demon bared her fangs at the still unconscious Kagome.
"Back off!" Inuyasha growled, purposefully moving Kagome in his arms so that he was between the two women.
"What's wrong doggy? Think I might hurt her?" The woman purred, licking her claws.
"No. I know you will." Inuyasha growled, "Now stay away from Kagome, bitch!" Inuyasha kicked the door open and entered the school building just as the bell rang. He looked around and sighed. 'On to the nurses office...again'
A few moments later, he entered the large room and looked at the twelve beds, ten of which were full. Inuyasha chuckled to himself. 'So that's why they need twenty something players on the football team.'
He looked around for the nurse as he set Kagome down on the bed. The large frog demon was sitting next to one of the students and seemed busy so Inuyasha left her alone and went back to Kagome's side. He kneeled down on the ground next to her. 'I should have prepared you more for that one.' Inuyasha said to himself, gently stroking her hair.
