A/N: This is going to be a long/short romantic moment between our favorite couple Inuyasha's a bit out of charactor so if you don't like it, bite me. I don't own Inuyasha. (mumbles something about Rumiko Takahashi being a bitch for not sharing)
"Kagome?" Inuyasha whispered softly, rubbing her back.
She stopped staking slightly and turned her head to look over her shoulder. "I-inuyasha?"
"Yeah. I'm here." He whispered, wrapping his arms around her. This seemed to calm her.
"I-i'm sor-ry." She sobbed into his chest, letting him pull her onto his lap.
"Shh... there's nothing to be sorry about." He hugged her tightly.
"I could have killed you!" Something about him seemed to calm her. She couldn't keep crying.
"But, you didn't."
"Inuyasha?" Kagome looked up at him, trying to wipe away her tears with her sleeve.
"Huh?" He looked down at her, trying still to make her as calm as he was.
"Why did you try to kill me?" her voice seemed to become smaller with each word.
"I..." Inuyasha chose his words carefully. "I was trying to force you to use your demon powers. It was what my brother used to teach me and what I'm using now to teach you. Now you will be able to completely master your different abilities. You can't use specific attacks just yet, but eventually you will." He lifted her up and carried her to her room. "You can, however jump higher and jump faster than before. Your power has been awakened. Now you need to master it."
He set her down softly on her bed and sat next to her. "Thanks Inuyasha." Kagome looked into his eyes as she sat up,
"About the other condition." He moved closer.
She looked at him, worried and slightly confused. "Yeah?"
He moved closer so that they were only a few centimeters apart. They were so close, she could feel his breath on her lips. He looked down into her eyes and used one clawed hand to gently lift her chin up. He lowered his mouth to hers until there was no space between them and they were locked in a passionate kiss.
She let out a muffled cry and her eyes shot open in shock. After a few seconds, though, she calmed and allowed him to wrap his arm around her waist and pull her further into him. Only seconds later, both pulled back to breath and look into the other's eyes.
"I should go," Inuyasha said, leaving to go to his room.
Kagome just sat, dazed, watching him until the door closed. As soon as he was out of her smelling range, she snapped out of it. "Inu...Inuyasha?" tears filled her eyes as she sat, wondering why he left. 'Just like all my other friends,' she thought to herself, stiffling a sob. 'He's going to leave me!' The thought killed her inside.
Inuyasha turned when he heard her nearly silent foot steps coming toward him. He immediately moved his eyesight to the windows.
"Inuyasha?" Kagome said in a small voice from the door of his room. She moved slowly closer to him until she was right behind him, then wrapped her arms around him. "I'm sorry if I did anything wrong," She whispered, leaning herself into him.
"You...you didn't do anything wrong," he said in a soft yet fierce voice.
"T-then why?" Kagome looked up as he turned to face her.
"Because I can't let you get hurt. Not like last time," he hugged her once more then lifted her up bridal style. "You need your sleep," he said sadly. "I'll wake you up in the morning for your next lesson.
A/N: Not like last time? What does that mean?
