Kagome moaned in pain and rolled over onto her side. Inuyasha was at her side instantly. "Kagome?"
The cat demon hissed weakly.
"Kagome. I'm sorry." He scratched the base of her ear gently, trying to calm her.
"Inu..." she tried to grab her side, but he caught her wrist.
"Don't. It'll only make the pain worse." He released her wrist and she let it drop to the bed.
"Where am I?" She tried to look around, but when she shifted her weight, the pain became worse.
"Try not to move. You're at home. Kaede said it would be better to bring you to a more familiar place." Kagome looked up to the cieling of Inuyasha's room.
Kagome frowned. "Why'd you do it?"
"I had to." Inuyasha sat down on the chair next to her. "The shikon jewel somehow made it's way into your body. I had to remove it or you could have died."
"Thank you." Kagome said, trying to sit up. She cried out and Inuyasha jumped up again.
"Don't move!" Inuyasha looked down at the large patch covering the hole above her waist. "I'll be right back I need to replace the badages."
The next morning, Kagome opened her eyes and looked around. She was curled around her pillow as she usually slept, with Inuyasha's arm around her from behind. Her wound had completely healed. "Inu?" She rolled over so that she was facing him.
"Morning." He said, stretching before falling back asleep.
"Inuyasha wake up!" She shook him awake.
"I'm up! I'm up!"
"Alright let's get ready for school. I need to restore my reputation as weakest in the school and you need to restore yours as strongest."
"Nope," he said simply.
"Then, we can sit and have a nice lunch and... wait a second!" She turned around. "What do you mean 'no'?"
"You're not allowed back in the school building until tomorrow and I have to watch you."
"And just why is that?"
"Because, she says you need your rest. You know, after me stabbing you and you bleeding and the one and a half inch wide sphere being pulled out of your body." He turned over and tried to go back to sleep.
Kagome climbed back into the bed. "But, you won't let them do that to me. Will you puppy?" She tried to make the cutest face possible. Inuyasha both tried and failed at ignoring her.
"I can't do it. We can't go back to the school today." Inuyasha watched as the cat demon's ears dropped and she made the most dissapointed face he'd ever seen. "If you wanna get out of the house. I'll take you anywhere you wanna go." He sighed.
She gave him a brief tight hug before quickly running off to her room. 'I have a feeling I'm going to regret this.' he thought to himself as he rolled over again to go back to sleep.
A/N: There's nothing more to tell. At this point the school year is practically over for them I'll pick the next chapter up at the beginning of the next school year. Where did Kagome wanna go? Use your imagination...if you have one...(fails in imagining self owning Inuyasha) damnit!
