Chapter 1: Kagome's Wonderful Gift anda Chat with a “Prince” from America

 

Kagome lied on her bed waiting for her mom to bring back her “surprise”. It was supposedly the best present ever.

 

Then, the door cracked. “Come downstairs,” Sota said. “Mom's back with your surprise.” Kagome jerked her head up. She was waiting for this all day.

 

Kagome slipped on her flip-flops and dashed down the steps. “Ok Kagome.” Her mother said, sitting on a large box. “Ready?” Kagome nodded furiously. Her mother stood and Kagome raced to the box and ripped it open.

 

“Holy crap!” Kagome exclaimed. She couldn't believe her eyes. “I've wanted this for like ever!” She pulled a flat-screen computer out of the now ripped box. “I'm using it first!” yelled Sota. Kagome rolled her eyes at her little brother. “In your dreams small fry. It's mine. That's why mom called it my surprise. Cause it's mine, not yours, but mine and…” Ms. Higurashi cut her off. “That's enough dear. Before I give the computer to Sota. Then it'll be his, not yours, but his.”

 

Sota and Ms. Higurashi carried the computer up to her bedroom as Kagome paraded around the neighbor hood screaming, “I've got a computer!!!!” Of course, a fat bald man with a wife beater on yelled “Ehh, shut up you spoiled rascal!” But Kagome ignored him.

 

“Hey Kagome!” yelled a perky but deeper female voice. Kagome turned around a faced a girl a little taller than her, more tanned, longer brown hair in contrast to her mid-back raven hair, and had the same chocolate brown eyes but hers were lined with hot pink. “Sango,” Kagome said. She paused for a moment. “I GOT A FLAT-SCREEN COMPUTER!!!” Sango didn't even blink. “I know.” Kagome was completely puzzled. “Sota couldn't keep his mouth shut.” Kagome soon got it. “Oh. I should've known.” There was a long silence. “Wanna come and play on it? There's this new chat site called galaxyworld.com.” Sango nodded and they made a mad-dash to Kagome's.

 

“I think I've heard of galaxyworld.” Sango said as Kagome shuffled through her keychain for her house key. “Got it.” She said as she pushed the key into the door.

 

“Mom, Sango's hear to check out my new computer!” Kagome called as she and Sango climbed up the carpeted stairs. “Here it is.” She pointed to her wonderful new gift. “What're ya waiting for Kags? Let's chat!”

 

“What do you want your chat name to be Sango?” Kagome asked as she clicked on the large sign that said CHAT NOW. “Um, what about ladybug45?” Kagome nodded. “You got it.”

 

“Let's chat with houshi56.” Sango suggested.

houshi56- how wood u like 2 go out sometime?

houshi56- really? i live rite next door! i'll come pick u up

ladybug45- kay.

 

“Bye Kagome. Looks like I got a date with a houshi!” She dashed down the stairs and walked out the door. I finally have my computer to myself. Kagome thought. This time she logged in as angelkake82. Ooh. Prince-o-america seems kinda cool.

“Coming mom!” Kagome grabbed her purse off her computer desk and went downstairs. “The girls said they'd meet you at the theater.”
