InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Predestination ❯ Predestination 9 ( Chapter 9 )
"I won't let him take her again." Inuyasha growled to himself. He was sitting in the tree right next to Kaede's hut, punching the bark out of frustration. He sighed knowing he couldn't do that, he knew his brother wouldn't hesitate to fulfill his promise. Why would he want her so much, no self pride would make him do something he wasn't willing. Could it be… nahhh it couldn't be, but then again. He smiled devilishly at his new formulating plan, he knew exactly how to play a little revenge.
Kagome slowly opened her eyes and sat up. She instantly knew she wasn't in her room or Sesshoumaru's room. This room was way bigger and far more beautiful, it was decorated with rich looking furniture and the thickest and softest of silks. Golds and purples seemed to be the theme, taking on a highly regal air about it. Her bed was huge, so big she could take up gymnastics. Looking directly in front of her she saw an open door leading to what looked like Sesshoumaru's, as her tired eyes focused she realized it was his room. Yawning and slowly sliding out of the tall bed, she opened the armoire doors to see if she could find a robe, but she got something better. All of her clothes and kimonos were hung and folded neatly in it, a soft knock to her door interrupted her amazement.
"Come in." The door burst open to reveal four excited eyes. "I see you have found one another." She laughed holding out her arms. Rin and Shippo took no time to reply, but ran into her embrace instead. As she hugged them, she noticed Keito standing to the side, with a smile on her face.
"Were you both scared last night." Remembering that Shippo and her shared the same "lonely fear during a storm" syndrome, she just assumed maybe Rin would be to.
"Why, should have we been?" Shippo stared at her clueless, she looked at Rin only to be graced with the same face.
Keito cleared her throat before she could say anything, "I always place a sound barrier around the children halls during storm."
Kagome just mouthed "oh" wondering if she could get a sound barrier. But then again would she really have wanted to trade that moment with Sesshoumaru. Bad Kagome, no thinking like that.
After she bathed for the morning and ate breakfast with the children, she sat in the gardens watching the children play. Her mind was very absorbed into other thoughts as she stared at the flower in front of her. She had to admit it was somewhat strange being a youkai but she rather enjoyed it in a sense. In her times, she would spend countless days just staring at the clouds wishing there was more to her boring life. However, it all changed the day she fell into the well, now she couldn't ask for more life endangering adventure. Although she felt so weak and helpless, like she didn't belong here, but now with her new abilities she felt so complete. As her fingers slid over the silky petals she felt a firm hand grasp her outstretched elbow and pull her off the stone bench. She looked up to see Sesshoumaru staring down at her with his smoldering amber eyes. Smiling she let him lead her away, leaving the children in Keito's care. He lead her back into the castle, but towards the dojo area, she inwardly sighed knowing they would begin her training.
He felt her step slow down a little and her eyes lose a bit of sparkle. He inwardly chuckled, so she must know that we are training, he thought. But he still had one more thing to do before they could train. Walking down the long halls, he remembered finding her. He stared at her sitting on the bench completely oblivious to his presence. He frowned at her lack of senses, but he was rewarded but the wonderful image she gave him. The sun bathed her in its bright rays making her kimono sparkle. It was a pale blue with purple flowers embroidered all over it. Her long black hair was braided partially letting the wind blow the loose strands. Her silver strip of hair hung to the sides of her face giving her an exotic look. When he took her hand her sparkling purple eyes graced him with their presence. He has never meet someone so beautiful, someone so genuine. His own mother was nowhere near this nice. He had but few people in his life that treated him with real emotion, but they were either friendly, brotherly, or fatherly. He wondered if she would be the one to give him more.
They stopped at a large door, after Sesshoumaru opened it and magically lit the torches she entered. She was still dazed at his lighting of the lamps to notice the contents of the room right away.
"How did you do that I never read that…" she trailed off into silence as she noticed what was in the room. As she slowly turned, her eyes grew wide at the mass collection of weapons.
"Oh my, I have never seen so many weapons in all my life." Sesshoumaru listened to the astonishment in her voice, and watched her graceful movements.
"Now that you are youkai you can eliminate the bow and arrows, for a stronger attack." His deep voice stirring her out of her daze, she looked to see him standing by the north wall covered in various weapons, but these weapons were just a tad bit smaller than the others but not much. Her slippers were soundless on the highly polished floor, the golden hue from the torch, made the wall of katana's glow. Moving carefully to each one she inspected their unique beauty, all were sheathed in beautiful cases. The wood looked fine and strong, and well maintained.
"These were my mother's weapons, they are all strong in their own way. Choose one for yourself."
"What? You cannot be serious these were your mothers, I couldn't possibly take something so valuable to you." Shaking her head giving him an apologetic look, she would just feel wrong for taking his late mother's swords.
"I have no use for them, besides I want you to have a worthy weapon. Now choose!" he was getting agitated. Her politeness was grating his nerves.
"Fine," she huffed at his rudeness; she walked up to each one and inspected each one. She came across one that struck her fancy, it was purple and blue, with strange carvings all over it. She slowly pulled out the blade to reveal a blade with beautiful purple and blue carvings running down the sides. For some reason she was called to this sword. Turning to Sesshoumaru she looked at him expectantly.
"May I have this one?" she asked meekly.
Walking behind her looking at her choice, he picked it up. "You have chosen the sword of the eastern miko, how fitting. She told me that she received it from the miko that lived in the eastern lands, the only one that used a katana. My mother unknowingly saved her life, so the miko gave her this sword for her gratitude. This sword was made for a youkai by a miko, but my mother never used it in fear of a trap. This sword has never experienced battle." His neutral face just stared at her amazed face.
"Wow you should read bedtime stories." She laughed
Ignoring her comment he grabbed her hand while unsheathing the sword. "in order to become one with your sword, it has to feel your power."
She frowned, what does that mean she wondered, but she never got to finish her thought as she felt a sharp sting across her palm.
"Owww" without even thinking she used her other hand to lash out at him with her claws. Never taking his eyes off her hand, he caught her attacking hand.
"So it seems you are anxious to train." He remarked coolly as they watched the katana glow a bright pink, accepting it's new owner. Sheathing it he handed it to her.
"What will you call your new weapon?"
"umm I guess I will call it…." She was kind of excited to have her own sword and be able to name it. She was giddy and bubbly all over, she could barely stand. "Predestination will be its name." She said looking at her new weapon.
"Mmm interesting." He said turning towards the exit. "Come lets see if you can manage Predestination."
Five hours later, after changing into her miko training garments, she was in the dojo getting her ass kicked ruthlessly.
They were working on blocking and counter attacks. He was dressed in simple plain white clothes similar to Inuyasha's and without his armor. At first it was easy they worked on stance, quick movements, senses, and reflexes. But now he was killing her.
When he first started with her he planned to take it slow, but she surprised him by nearly mastering everything he taught her. Therefore, he gladly picked up the pace, going to something more physical. Now looking at her, she was sweaty, pissed, and tired as hell. But he refused to leave until she get this kick down.
"Higher" he growled, receiving a death glare that only made him smirk. "Again."
He lunged at her again with a series of slowed punches, which she blocked well for a beginner. Then he swiped at her with his claws, only to receive a vicious high kick upper cut. Stumbling back he stared at her. Her bluish green eyes were slowly turning a bright indigo. While her body was seething with anger. Shit she was doing it again letting her youkai blood take over.
"Training is over Kagome." He said knowing that would calm her. As if by magic her eyes returned to their shade of blue while she slowly crumpled to the ground.
"Thank the heavens." She sighed before looking at him with contempt from her sprawled position on the floor. "You're a bastard you know that." She spat at him.
"I never said I wasn't." he began to walk away but he noticed she had a strange look on her face. Then he realized her problem, kneeling beside her he smirked a little.
"OH my Kami I cannot move!" she cried, he watched as the tears welled up in her eyes. "This is all your fault Sesshoumaru." Her voice was coated with raw anger as she cried.
He didn't say a word as he picked her up carrying her to the dojo springs. She looked around frantically as they moved through the halls swiftly, she didn't quite trust him.
"Where are you taking me Sesshoumaru?" she hissed.
He turned his gaze towards her and gave her something she thought was physically impossible. A grin bearing his shining white fangs, even though the smile made her skin crawl she was still proud he could do such a thing.
She was just about to tell him to put her down, because that smile was just downright wrong and she wanted nothing to do with it. But the startling sound of his shoe kicking in the door stopped her. She looked around to see a smaller but just as beautiful spring.
"Wow how many springs do you have sprinkled about this huge castle." She exclaimed.
"I guess you will have to find out one day." He stated nonchalantly. He stopped at the edge of the spring. She looked down at the steaming water, and wondered why he was just standing there at the edge. Before her mind could even get time to process and panic, she was dropped unceremoniously into the pale blue steaming water.
She came back up gasping and screaming, even though her screams pierced his ears he found it quite entertaining to see her like this.
"Why you piece of shit how dare you throw me into the water." She was pissed as she stood fully clothed in chest high water. Her arms were crossed over the white miko top to keep a fragment of dignity.
"I see that you can move your muscles." He watched as her face changed from anger to surprise in a matter of seconds. It still amazed him that her many different human emotions remained with her after her transformation. No youkai expressed so many emotions, and it was trait he didn't want to change. He turned from the pouting miko and walked towards the door.
"Hey Sesshoumaru." Turning he caught the gleam in her eye as a bucket full of water came hurling towards him. Even though he seeing the water, his body refused to move, he was still shocked that she was actually splashing water on he, the taiyoukai of the western lands. The warm water hit him square in the face drenching his hair and clothing.
She stood watching the water hit him, and she noticed as a youkai everything just seemed a little bit slower. She noticed how he was void of any sort of reaction as the water hit him. His hair which was now soaked was plastered to his body and face framing his defined face even more so. His amber eyes seemed to glow even more while his lips were parted slightly. Then he moved taking her totally off guard, she screeched and scrambled in the water towards the other side, but she never made it. She let out a scream before she and her attacker went under the water. She opened her eyes under the water to see Sesshoumaru's amber ones full of life and excitement. He quickly grabbed both of her struggling arms before they surfaced. Gasping she tried to kick him away, but he simply just tugged her arms hard, whip lashing her towards his chest.
He felt her hit his body and quickly let go of her arms to cage her in with his embrace. Looking down at the top of her head which slowly cocked back to reveal a pair of beautiful blue-purple eyes filled with laughter.
"You think this is funny?" he asked, he felt her breathing quicken at his voice, sending secret thrills throughout his body.
"Yes and I think you think it is fun to." Smiling at him, trying to hide the way she really felt when his broad chest rumbled from his deep voice.
"Maybe." Was all he could say because he was too busy trying to tell if he smelt arousal for a fleeting second. Now he was all too excited even though he made sure not to show it.
Testing he tightened his embrace around the wet miko, stirring the water at his waist and at her chest. Slowly he wrapped his submerged tail around her leg drawing the tip up slowly up her leg.
She couldn't believe what she was feeling, I wonder if he even realizes it. just standing here like this in his arms and in this spring was bad enough but to have this happen was too much. She couldn't help but to elicit a tiny pleased moan.
The sound he enticed from her tiny body was just too much. He quickly let go and stepped back. "Tonight we will work on youkai society etiquette then tomorrow we will repeat today's lesson." With that he was gone, leaving a blushing Kagome to wonder what the hell happened.
