Kagome turned her gaze to a silver haired man with a very, very, very piss off look that plastered his face. He had a sword in one hand and his other hand was clenched into a fist. Kagome could see that it was starting to turn white.

 

“Get off of her you bastard!” he yelled and ran towards him. Kohaku rolled off of her and punched her rescuer in the stomach. Kagome screamed. This was not turning out the way she hoped.

 

InuYasha staggered back and punched Kohaku square in the jaw and the man fell onto his butt. InuYasha smirked and swung his blade and thrust it into the man's stomach. Kohaku fell back and was dead.

 

InuYasha looked at Kagome's bare body and blushed. He had a long jacket on and gave it to her. Kagome hurriedly put it on.

 

“How did you know what happened to me?” Kagome asked.

 

“I had a strange feeling in my stomach and then I had a premonition of some sort when I was dozing off in a meeting. I knew that it had to be true, so I came here and here we are! Also, your horse was already walking towards the stable when I came out to get a horse,” he explained.

 

Kagome just shook her head. “OK, can we get out of here? I have been here enough and long enough for an almost rape.”

 

InuYasha understood and led her out. They went to the boat that he took to the island and rowed back to the castle.

 

When they arrived at the castle, everyone had strange looks on their faces and InuYasha just gave them the glare that said, `Don't even bother asking or you'll get it.' So, no one said anything and kept to him or herself.

 

They went to her room and Kaede was already there, keeping it clean.

 

“My lady, what happened?” Kaede asked in shock.

 

“I'll explain later Kaede, can I just please wash up and go to bed. I am not feeling hungry and please ask Hojo to sleep in another room tonight? I'd rather be by myself,” said Kagome.

 

Kaede nodded and asked InuYasha to leave. InuYasha did so.

 

Kaede led Kagome to her bath chamber and started scrubbing her down. Then, she slipped on a nightgown and led her back to her bed.

 

“Sleep well child. You don't have to tell me what happened, but if you need to tell me, then do so,” said Kaede.

 

“I'll tell you, but please don't tell my husband. I went off for a ride and I arrived at a lake. Miroku came and left and I decided to leave. Before I reached my horse, a man named Kohaku kidnapped me. He took to a small island far off in the lake and almost rapped me. Before he came truly inside me, InuYasha came and saved me,” Kagome told Kaede.

 

Kaede said nothing. She just stood there. She just leaned down and kissed her on her forehead and hugged her. “I am glad you all right, but you have to tell Hojo sooner or later. I'll go now and tell him your request.”

 

Kaede left and Kagome was all alone. She lies there, knowing that her old nurse was right. She does have to tell her husband what happened.

 

`But what will he think of me?' she asked herself. She started to bite her lower lip. She decided to think about it later. No need for losing sleep over it. She closed her eyes and went to sleep.

As soon Kaede closed the door, she started to weep. The girl she raised was raped, but thank goodness sex never occurred. She felt a hand on her shoulder and saw a sad gaze in two amber eyes.

 

She hugged InuYasha. “Thank you, thank you for saving my queen!”

 

She felt him hug her back. “Your welcome. I too am glad that I made it in time.”

 

Kaede pulled back and dried her tears with the back of her hands. “I must go now, I have to deliver a message to King Hojo.”

 

She excused herself and went to tell King Hojo what Kagome him to know.

 

InuYasha was standing next to the door. He leaned over to it and placed his ears onto the door, listening to her breathing patterns. He sighed. How much he wanted to caress her skin, to taste those luscious lips.

 

He shook his head. Not now, maybe not ever. He could only wait.
