Many centuries later…

An eighteen-year-old girl walked upon a crumbled site. She had black hair with a ponytail up. She had on khakis and a white tang top with hiker boots and was carrying a book bag. It was early morning and the fog was low.

The scenery was nothing like she saw before. It looked so enchanted and mystifying with the fog floating quietly around the scene. The landscape caught her breath. She felt lucky that she was the first one to discover it. There were vines covering the broken down castle. Some of it crumbled onto the dirt ground. What amazed her was that there was still a tower standing. This made her want to indulge the mystery setting.

She walked to the tower and saw an entrance. The girl began to walk up the long, spiraling stairs. There seemed to be hundreds of them since it took her twenty minutes to get to the top.

There was another door and she saw no handle. It seemed to her that there was probably some type of button of some sort to open it. There were bricks so she started to press on each of them. When she pressed on one, the door opened slowly.

The room before her was still intact. There were no dust or spider webs. Everything was clean. There were books kept in bookcases, astronomy handing on walls, and a telescope by a window. But what caught her attention was there was a well in the middle of the room, right across from a beautiful chair.

`Why is there a well in a room?' she questioned as she started to walk towards it. Her heart started to beat a fast rate as if any moment, something would jump at her. She also felt something paranormal was beckoning for her to go to it.

She peered down and saw crystal clear water. She could actually see right through it. She never such apparent water before. She was so mesmerized at it that she didn't notice the water turning blue and violet and the water going in a loop.

A face appeared and she finally snapped back into attention. Her eyes went wide. `This is not normal,' she thought. But the face was so handsome that her fear suddenly drifted away. She sank onto her knees and kept staring at it.

“You are the first to find the place. My name is Sesshomaru, what is yours?” asked Sesshomaru.

“My name is Rin, but this can't be possible. How can you be in a well?” said Rin.

“I am the Keeper of the Past, Present, and Future. I keep track what will happen and I have been expecting you, Rin. My master Miroku made me to do these things,” he told her.

“If you knew that I was coming, how come you asked for my name?” she questioned him.

Sesshomaru chuckled. “Well, I was being well-mannered.”

Rin made a goofy grin. “Well, Sesshomaru, what is this place? I suppose this place is magical?”

“Yes, this is where the High King and Queen, Hojo and Kagome, lived and stayed until the king was murdered by his own son. Miroku, my master, was the wizard and druid of King Hojo. He stayed in this place to see what will happen. This is also the place where Kagome and InuYasha first met. They fell in love and showed it by having sex. Here, let me show you everything,” said Sesshomaru. His head disappeared and scenes of the past showed up.

Rin saw everything from the first time Hojo arrived at the castle as a young man from him arriving with Kagome. She saw that Kagome was very much in love with Hojo since she smiled a lot with him.

The girl also saw InuYasha's arrival and that's when she knew that it was the first moment when Kagome had new feelings. She felt deep sympathy for the girl in the past. She was torn between two men.

Other scenes showed up as the confrontation of Sango, Hojo's obliviousness to everything surrounding him, and much more. The only thing that didn't show was where the king was laid. She saw the birth of Kagome and InuYasha's son.

Sesshomaru's head appeared again. He saw that there was water forming in her eyes.

“Why are you tearing up?” he asked her.

Rin sniffed. “It's so sad.”

“Why is it sad?”

“Their affections for each other were forbidden. Kagome was already married to a man. They loved each other very much. If they showed it publicly, they would probably be executed since its treason. Then, out of the blue, all of these things happened and they couldn't be together to not be afraid to show their feelings. They had, prohibited affections,” Rin answered.

Sesshomaru now understood, but he had no idea what it is like since he had neither body nor the requirements for humanly possessions. He cannot ever have those things since he had no soul.

“When will the new darkness arise?” she asked.

“It may appear when you are not alive, so you shouldn't worry about it,” he replied.

“Tell me, will they ever see each other again?” asked Rin.

“For that I cannot answer. Reincarnations are not what I can see,” Sesshomaru said.

Rin nodded her head. She felt disappointed that there might be no future for these two people. She felt that they deserved to live to express their love for one another without being afraid that they would get caught.

“Do me one favor,” the voice asked.

Rin looked back down into the well. “Sure, what can I do?”

“Miroku asked before he died was to have someone record these happenings so the world would know that there was such people alive long ago,” he said.

“I would be privileged to do that,” she replied. She put down her book bad and took out a notebook. She started to write down everything that happened when Sesshomaru was showing the past again.

Once that was done, Rin put the notebook back into her bag. She spent enough time as it is in the old tower. She had to get going. Her friends would be expecting her back at the camp that was a couple miles away. Plus, it was getting dark out.

“I must be leaving,” said Rin as she put the bag back on. She stood up and glanced at the well.

“Ah, I know. But, would you come back and visit? I hate to admit, but it gets lonely at times. I have been alone the past few centuries,” said Sesshomaru.

Rin smiled. “I guess I can do that.” She turned around and left the room. The door automatically closed behind her. She walked down the stairs and emerged into the cool, sunset air.

Sesshomaru whispered, “So long InuYasha, Kagome, and Cai's progeny.”

She walked to the edge of the castle ground that was once bristled with life, which is now hauntingly exquisite. She took a digital camera out and took a picture. She also took out the notebook and looked at her sketch of the castle used to look like. She put them back in and took another glance at the ruins. Rin sighed. If only she could be alive that long ago.

Rin walked back into the forest and headed back to camp. Now, it's her duty to tell the tale of the lives of King Hojo, Queen Kagome, and Sir InuYasha.

Well, you have read it already.

(A/N): I am not doing a sequel to this, if you are thinking I am. This is it. If you want a sequel to it, you can write it, I don't mind, but I would appreciate it that you ask me first and if I agree, you have to write that it is a sequel to this story that was written by me. Thank you!
