The next morning Kaori woke up with the feeling someone was close to her. She opened her eyes to see two golden eyes less than 2 inches from her face and felt him breathing on her face.
"AH! JESUS!"
She jumped up and backed away. Inuyasha jumped into a corner, fearing he'd done something wrong. She hadn't expected to wake up to that and it scared her for a second. Clearly she scared him back.
"God... I'm sorry."
He just stared at her from his corner. She started walking over to the naked hanyou, but he quickly ran to hide. She sighed heavily and just stood there.
'I'm gonna have to get him some clothes eventually. Might as well get it out of the way now..... wait... I don't have any money. UGH! I'm gonna have to steal some,' she thought miserably.
She walked over to his hiding place under the kitchen sink, where he was curled up in the shadows. It was sort of funny, yet at the same time it was so pathetic. He was like a puppy. No... exactly like a puppy. A very afraid puppy.
"I'll be back in a little while. Ok? Don't go anywhere."
She went to the front door and unlocked its many locks. When she stepped out, she found she had stepped on something. A brown bag with a folded note was on her front steps. Curiously she reached down and picked up the note to read it first.
These are for Inuyasha. It's a kimono exactly the same as the one he used to wear. I'm sure you know by now he is a demon, so be careful. Please help Inuyasha. I will be watching you, but do not tell him.

"OK... I wonder who this person is? Inu-yasha.... is that his name?"
She pulled the red fire rat kimono from the bag. In her mind, she remembered seeing him in this very outfit. With a smile, she returned inside and made her way to the sink. He was still curled up inside, but she hadn't expected him to go anywhere anyway.
"Here, these are yours," she said as she set the kimono in front of him.
He looked at them curiously, but showed no sign of moving. She got up and walked out again and headed to a nearby super market. She went in around back and met with a guy in the back room.
"You got it?" She asked.
"Yeah. It's behind the meat and dairy."
"Thank you so much. You are a life savor."
"I swear, I'm gonna lose my job because of you one of these days."
"Look, I'm sorry that I left the foster home and ended up with nothing, but I'd much rather be out here fighting and living the way I do than being pushed to do something better and getting waited on hand and foot and having people and psychologists worried about my behavior and the way I feel about things."
"Heh. Your funny. Get going before you get caught."
She headed off to the section behind meat and dairy products and picked up a large box filled with her favorite foods. She put it into a shopping cart and pushed it back to the dojo. What she found when she got there was not what she wanted to find.
Three guys, all of them atleast 19 years old, were standing in front of the dojo. They all were dressed similar to her, only less girly and more manly. She groaned angrily as they approached her.
"Kaori... nice to see you again," one of them spoke.
"Well well well... the three groomsmen of the apocalypse. What are you doing here?"
"You know damn well what we're doing here," said another.
"The boss doesn't like no for an answer Kaori, nor does he like being ignored," said the third.
"Well tell your boss this: I do not care what he does and doesn't like, stop having me followed, stop asking me to marry him and if he has such a large dick then he should just fuck himself with it."
"You're asking for trouble girly," the second one spoke.
"I'm not afraid of some 19 year old punk. Now, get your ugly asses away from my house or i'll shove my boot so far up your ass you'll need to have emergancy surgery to remove it."
"You are going to regret this someday Kaori," the first one said.
"Yeah right. Get out of here."
"Let's go boys."
They walked off like the massive gorillas they were and left her there. She went inside and found Inuyasha was still under the sink, but his kimono was on. She smiled to herself and cooked something for the both of them. When she was done she set it up on a tiny table and walked back to the sink, where Inuyasha was sniffing the air hungrily.
"Come on out... I promise I wont scare you this time."
He shrunk even deeper inside the cabinet.
"Oh, come on Inuyasha. I know you're hungry."
His ears twitched and he looked at her differently. She almost wanted to giggle and rub his adorable dog ears, but she somehow kept herself from doing it. Instead she got up and picked up a couple peices of food and made a food trail from him to the table. After a few minutes, temptation had gotten the better of him and he slowly came out and started sniffing and eating the food trail. He seemed thrilled when he got to the table and found there was a whole bowl of it.
"Nice of you to join me Inuyasha. Eat."
Rather than using his chopsticks, he used his hands and devoured all the food as if he hadn't eaten in days. Kaori reminded herself that he probably hadn't.
"Well, it isn't much... but it's a start."
And so began her task of bringing Inuyasha back to living.
