This was hell. She was positive. No one could possibly survive this kind of torture. I mean, if one could survive the attacks from numerous demons, this should be a piece of cake, right? Wrong! Her nose was killing her, she had a constant headache, and to make matters worse no-one was allowed out of the building except for when they went to clean off the roof. Yeah, this was a living hell.

The punching bag in front of her was her only salvation at the moment. But it seemed that it wouldn't last much longer. The gathering white dust on her shoulders was proof to that. But she took no notice as she relentlessly abused the stuffed leather sack. The pain in her body, though, was nothing compared to the pain in her heart.

“Sarah.” Lily whispered as she came up behind her. Sakura didn't acknowledge her, though. Her name wasn't Sarah. It was Sakura. Sakura, damnit! Why didn't anyone listen to her?

Because she refused to talk to them… that's why.

“Sarah, please.” Lily pleaded with her, causing Sakura to jump. Turning bright brown eyes on her friend, Sakura took several un-even breaths as she tried to get as much air into her lungs as possible. Her black bangs clung to her for head and the rest to the back of her neck, her skin flushed and a light pink. Lily never pleaded with her. Never.

“We're--we're worried about you, Sarah. You haven't spoken to anyone and…" Lily faltered. Sakura took ragged breaths and took the gloves off her hands.

'I don't care' she told herself. It became a mantra for her here recently. Running her fingers through her damp hair, she spared Lily one last glace before heading off to god knows where, intent on getting some privacy. For the past two weeks, privacy was not easy to find, but Sakura was determined to find a place to think without smelling the garbage and cleaning chemicals.

"Sarah, I--" Paul began as she walked by him, grabbing hold of her arm in the process. He expected her to stop, but her reaction was something he least expected.

She screamed.

Then proceeded to flip him over her and onto his back, where she effectively pinned him down with her foot on his neck. He looked up at her and shock to see her in not much of a better state, and he finally came to a decision that something was bothering her to no end…Something big.

"S-Sarah?" He rasped out at the panting figure above him. Her eyes shot to his, wide with fear and shock, before she released him completely. He sat up slowly, wincing at the pain in his wrist to find her plopped down on his cot, head bent and breathing shallow breaths.

"Sarah Brimstone!" the voice of one of their teachers sounded throughout the gymnasium. Paul winced at the volume and scrambled to stand, making it to Sarah's side before the teacher did.

"What is the meaning of this?" The teacher demanded, and Paul noticed that there was a large crowd around them. He spotted Chris and smiled slightly at her before turning back to the teacher.

"Well?" the teacher demanded again. Sakura had yet to answer and it looked like she wasn't going to, so Paul answered instead.

"It's my fault, sir." Paul stated, stepping in front of Sakura. The teacher looked at him in shock for a moment before regaining his composure.

"Explain." The man ordered harshly, crossing his arms and looking down his nose at the two.

"I scared her, sir. She's a little edgy--we all are." He explained to him. The teacher glared harder and looked between the two before grunting in satisfaction, walking away to the private quarters for teachers. Paul sighed and turned around, kneeling before Sakura.

"Are you alright?" He almost whispered to her. For a moment, he got no response, but she slowly, if barely, nodded her head in the affirmative.

"Paul." Chris said as she walked up behind him, Samantha right behind her. She kneeled beside him and wrapped her arms around his neck, burring her face into his shoulder. "You're so kind to her. That's….indescribable." she whispered.

Paul grunted softly, leaning his head onto Chris's. "I have to… Right now we need each other… We have to stay strong."

Samantha blinked and sighed, sitting on the cot besides Sakura, wrapping her arm around the girl's shoulders. "You alright?"

Sakura didn't move, not wanting to think or speak or stand at all. She felt weak and little without Tobu to goad her on… She felt lonely, and not once did Tobu leave her mind.

'Tobu,' she thought while looking at her lap. 'When will you come get me? Please, PLEASE, I need you!'

'Tobu, when will you come get me? Please, PLEASE, I need you!'

Tobu smirked when he heard her voice. But the smirk was out of anger, instead of amusement. She sounded frail, and tired. Shaking his head, he looked at the body of Sakura that laid in his bed, her head to one side as she breathed slowly and deeply.

Standing, he stroked her hand before leaning down and kissing her brow softly, tucking the blankets more firmly around her.

"I'm on my way, love." he murmured to her before sliding into the bed next to her, rolling her onto her side so he could encase her. He wrapped his arm firmly around her waist, kissing the back of her neck as he let the endless sleep of her dreams incase him.

Later, when Inuyasha and Kagome looked in, they saw the two sleeping soundly, a soft smile grazing the youkai's lips.

"I'll kill him after this." Inuyasha growled as they left the room, ordering a few guards to guard the doors.

Kagome giggled softly and grabbed Inuyasha's hand in hers, leading him down to the dinning area.

"You're too over protective, Inuyasha." She said with another laugh. Inuyasha raised and eyebrow at her as he smirked.

"Oh, really?" He snickered before picking her up. He ignored her squeak of protest as he turned around and headed for his champers. "I have the feeling that you like being over protected."

Kagome blinked up at him in shock. "I-Inuyasha?" She asked uncertainly as she felt him open the door to his assigned room.

"Shut it; Wench, before I find other ways to do so."

For his rude mouth, he was unexpectedly, if not fortunately, rewarded with her beautiful blush.

His laughter was heard throughout the mansion--possibly throughout the country.

(Little sis says here: See!? SEE?! I KNEW THEY WOULD GET TOGETHER!! MUWAHAHAHAHA!!.....ahem, yeah…..HA!)

Sakura sighed as she stared out of the glass doors at the vast world full of black ash and soot. She couldn't sleep, and she be damned if she ever slept in that gym ever again.

She couldn't figure it out, but she had some-how maintained her youkai abilities. How the hell did that happen? She was in another world--another dimension, in a way. But, as it were, after some small (if not destructive) testing in one of the class rooms, it seemed as if she was still in fact hanyou, only her characteristics didn't show it.

And something else irked her. As of late, there was a warmth surrounding her, as if she was being covered by a blanket. She decided against the blanket, considering blankets covered your whole body, and not just a few areas.

Her back was warm, and it felt as if there was gently breathing on her neck. There was also a warmth around her waist, and her legs… It was confusing her to no end.

Why did she feel so content….so….safe?

A sudden movement outside caught her attention, but it didn't surprise her in the least. She smelt the demon coming in the long run, but it surprised her when the demon smelt oddly like…Inu youkai?

She saw the figure slowly approach, and noticed that he was in a business suit. He was probably one of those men who came to check on the schools, she assumed. But, every one knows what happens when you 'assume' things…

It makes an ass of u and me.

"H-Hey!" came the ragged voice of the male as he approached the door. He sounded like he was having a hard time breathing. However, she didn't dismiss the fact that his voice was oddly familiar to her. He approached harshly as he threw himself at the doors, only to smash against them in exhaustion. She didn't move from her perch on the bench, and stared blankly at the man as he gasped against the pane glass windows.

She cocked her head to the side, looking at him quizzically, but with little interest as she heard Paul approach her side slowly.

"Who's that?" He asked in a slurred manner. Sakura looked over at him briefly before returning her eyes to the man at the door with a shrug. Paul sighed and shot her a scolding look before going over and opening the door, letting the man fall onto the floor. Paul looked up at her expectantly and glared slightly. "Well? Help me get him in."

Sakura returned the glare briefly before standing up and grabbing the male's arm and upper body, hooking one of his arms around her shoulder as she slowly dragged him over to her previous sitting area. She heard Paul close the door and step up behind her as she leaned the man on a pillar beside the bench, careful of his head and shoulders.

Paul sighed at her and looked down at the man, studying him softly. He looked…worn.

"Are you going to take care of him?" He asked her softly as he took the cap from the mans head. Sakura looked over her shoulder at him with a tolerant glare and returned to assessing the man. Paul sighed again and walked away, leaving Sakura and the new guest alone.

As soon as he left, Sakura focused all of her senses on the young youkai. He looked familiar…His facial structure sent Sakura into a case of De Ja Vu. Who was this man?

Suddenly he lifted his head and locked his golden eyes with Sakura's, causing her to let out a small yip of surprise. The man smiled softly, bringing his hand up to Sakura's cheek. When she didn't move away, he caressed it gently, watching as her mouth opened slightly.

"I found you," He murmured as he sat up slowly, bringing his lips to her forehead. "And you were damn hard to find too, Sakura."

Sakura's eyes widened as he pulled her into his embrace, squeezing her small frame to his larger one.

"T-Tobu?"
