Chapter Fifteen
The Race To End All Races Begins and Sango Is Gone
Kagome felt her palms sweating. Her knees were shaking and her head was beginning to ache from her nervousness. She was too excited to eat so she skipped on dinner, which in fact she heard Rin ate almost all of it.
She was dressed in a pair of plain black pants and a white midsleeve shirt. Her hair was back into a neat bun behind her head and held by a pair of green chopsticks. Rin had came to her earlier for makeup, stating, "A winner can't look like shit." Rin always had a way with words, Kagome thought, inspecting her face. Her eyes were darknened with kohl, her lips glossed over a medium shade of pink. A gentle blush across her cheeks.
Two knocks came from her door. She went over and opened it where Nina and Aiji stood. Nina wore a pair of regular pair of navy blue jean flares with a red and black corset like tank top. Aiji wore a pair of pinstripe black pants, with a black button down shirt and a red tank top evident from underneath.
"Ready?"they asked in unison.
"Yeah, but where's Inuyasha?"asked Kagome.
"He left,"Aiji stated.
"What?! Why?"Kagome asked.
"It's required for the leaders of the gangs to meet in order to determine the standards all all that jazz,"Nina said as if she's been asked that question a million times before. "Don't worry, Sesshomaru and Miroku are with him."
"How's Sango doing?"Kagome asked exiting the room with the twins.
"She's doing fine. She's going to the race,"Nina said.
"I thought only participants could go to the race,"Kagome asked.
"She's participating,"the two sighed in unison.
"But she can't! She's injured! She could hurt herself!"Kagome listed the reasons frantically.
"You know, that's exactly what I said,"Aiji told Kagome.
"Where is she?"Kagome asked.
"She's gone."
"She went with the guys?"Kagome questioned.
"No, we don't know where she went. All we know is that she got up, dressed and left on one of the Hondas,"Nina stated.
"Dammit Sango!"Kagome cursed. "Always trying to prove yourself strong."
"She is strong."

Inuyasha leaned against his modifyied Viper GTS, black in color with two crimson strips running down the middle. Miroku was on his customized Suzuki motorcycle, and Sesshomaru inside his dark metallic gray Diablos VT.
They awaited in a deserted area, for several people, to decide the outcomes of the race. Of course, there really was no need to decide for everyone wanted to be the ruler of the demon underworld and all it's actions until the next race.
Sure enough a silver Mustang Mach 1 followed by three Honda motorcycles followed up the opposite side of the road. And not long after, a black Mercielago and a navy blue Porche 911 followed.
The first opposite gang were the Wolfs. Kouga in his Mustang, and three of his lackies including a scandially clad Ayame hopped off the motorcycles. Each one with a determined grin upont heir faces.
The other was Narakus gang. The Spiders. Tattooed and pierced men emerged from the Porche 911, and speaking of the devil himself, Naraku emerged from the Mercielago.
"Kouga. Naraku,"Inuyasha glared at his two enemies. Kouga more of a rival than enemy however. Naraku bore a constant grin when he noticed the glares from the Inus.
"Inuyasha,"they both said in unison.
"We're here to determine the outcome of the race. If the Inus win, we want to be the leaders of the Demonic Underworld, it's actions and be the leading gang of all the others,"said Inuyasha.
"Hmm. So Miroku, how's Sango doing?"Naraku ignored the request of Inuyashas. Miroku lunged foreward with a balled fist and wide angered eyes.
"How DARE you!"Miroku shouted. Inuyasha held him back and Sesshomaru exited his car, earning the attention of Naraku.
"Finally a real leader shows. What are your terms,"Naraku asked.
"We win, we get it all,"Sesshomaru summarized.
"Very well. If the Spiders win, we want it all as well. And I would just love to have my Kagura back,"Naraku stated.
"To hell with that!"Inuyasha shouted and Miroku held him back.
"Inuyasha!"snapped Sesshomaru. "Deal." He shook hands with Naraku.
"Sesshomaru!"Inuyasha said angered.
"Don't worry. We wont lose." Inuyasha nodded.
"I assume the same for the Wolfs?"Sesshomaru turned to Kouga who sat upon his cars hood.
"You assure correctly. Except, I want Kagome instead,"he smirked at Inuyasha.
The youngest Inu flexed his claws. "Wanna say that again when Miroku and Sesshomaru aren't holding me back?!" Inuyasha would be damned if that wolf would have HIS Kagome in the hands of Kouga.
"Is is a deal or not?"asked Kouga simply. Sesshomaru snook his hand, and Naraku and Kouga shook hands. Narakus gang seemed quite the evil one since no one really wanted to shake his hand.
"Good."

Nina and Aiji opened the garage door. And then Kagome gasped loudly. A black Cadillac Cien with tinted windows came first to view.
"That's your car,"Aiji stated. Kagome noticed that on the door handle, there was her name in golden print.
"Oh my,"Kagome breathed feeling out the curves of the car. "It's beautiful!"
"Customized engine, new tires although not too new so they're broken in, black leather interior seating, one bitchin stereo system and a cupholder,"Aiji listed. Kagome openened the car.
"Nitros oxide boosters,"Nina continued.
"And a new set of brakes."
"You like?"
"I love!"Kagome squealed. Inside the car she could see out the windows clearly, but from the outside she couldn't even see in.
"Special mirror shined tinted windows,"Nina pointed out.
"This car ca go up to three hundred miles per hour, with the nitros boosters, three hundred and twenty two miles per hour. You're definately gonna need these."
"You two are racing right?"Kagome asked. "Where's your cars?"
The twins smiled. Nina had a rich red C6 corvette, and Aijis was a rich shade of blue. "Our babies!" They hugged the cars earning a sweat drop from Kagome.
In the large garage, there were about fifteen other cars. Some typical street cars made street illegal by the twins, others rare street relics with customizations to suit the race.
"You two outdid yourself this time,"Kagome breathed.
"Eh, nothing too it really."
"I'm serious. These are amazing,"Kagome inspected every car.
"We're mechanics,"Nina stated.
"And artists!"
"We have,"they begun in unison, "style."

Night approached. Most of Kouga and Narakus crew had arrived shortly after negotiations. Inuyasha looked around for theirs. Their racing field, a large dirt patch with a radius of twenty miles.
Sesshomaru noticed Kouga talking on a cell phone in his car, and not long after making contact with the wolf youkai, he soon saw the head of Ayame emerge from his lap. Kouga winked at the oldest Inu realizing the eye contact.
Soon a rumble of engines was heard on the road and there several cars emerged speeding towards the center where the groups were.
It was the Inus.
Emerging first from the cars were Aiji and Nina. Followed by Kagome. The entire group walked over towards their leaders.
"Kagome,"breathed Inuyasha.
"Inuyasha,"Kagome noticed that Inuyasha wore black baggy pants with silver heavy looking chains hanging off the side. Heavy steel toed boots were poking at the ends, and the silver haired Inu, whose hair was back in a long braid, wore no shirt revealing tight muscles.
Inuyasha was focused on Kagome, who wore black flare pants, pointed toe thin heeled boots, with a thick black belt a white midsleeve shirt and who held a black leather biker jacket.
"You look beautiful,"Inuyasha complemented.
"Thank you,"she blushed lightly. Aiji and Nina had found their way to the speakers where the gathered a microphone and said in unison, "LET'S GET THIS RACE STARTED BABY!"
Inuyasha turned back to Kagome. He lifted her chin and gently brushed his lips against hers in a way that always left Kagome breathless.
"I'm up first,"he said.
"I know,"she said.
"I love you Kagome,"Inuyasha lowered himself onto her lips again.
"Go win,"Kagome smiled on his lips.
"Alright enough of that, lets get this thing started already,"Kagura said from behind them separating them.
"Hey, what'd you do that for?"Inuyasha asked.
"Because if I hadn't you two love birds would suck eachother dry, and then we'd be short two drivers,"Kagura stated as a matter of factly.
Inuyasha sighed heavilly and shrugged his shoulders down. He entered his Viper GTS and the engines roared as he, Kouga and Naraku took their places on the side of the road facing away.
Ayame and Aiji made their way towards in front of the cars. Each one held a gun. They both aimed upward, counted to three and shot.
The race began.
Nina found herself broadcasting the race, while looking at the fast pace cars through binoculars.
"Naraku of the Spiders has taken a slight lead over Inuyasha of the Inus and Kouga of the Wolfs. Oh wait, Inuyasha has taken the lead from Naraku and Kouga has begun to pull ahead taking second!"Nina practically shouted.
"C'mon Inuyasha!"Kagome shouted out.
"Put your ass into it Inuyasha!"Aiji shouted out.
Kagome sweatdropped. "Aiji you have a way with words."
"I put more than enough horsepower under that hood to assure a victory and he's barely pulling ahead,"Aiji shouted over the frantic crowd and loud music playing from the open cars. "He's letting it off."
"C'MON INUYASHA!"Kagome shouted.
Kouga had pressed a booster button shooting foreward to first. The finish line was in full view.
"INUYASHA!"Kagome screamed out cheering him on to a hopeful victory.
Naraku soon followed with his own boosters.
"Five more seconds and he should press the button,"Aiji told Kagome.
Kagura counted down.
"Kouga and Naraku are neck in neck for the win and Inuyasha has lagged behind. Can he catch up?! I sure hope so!"Nina broadcasted. The Wolfs and Spiders cheered at her statement, each group in high tension for their leaders.
"One,"Kagura finished.
"ONE!"Inuyasha shouted in his car pressing not a red button but a green button above the red one. Suddenly he felt himself propelled to the seat and his face forced into a smile as the G force emitted on him pounded himself into the leather seat. He gripped on the steering wheel.
"Inuyasha has pulled into first in an amazing feat!"Nina jumped up. The Spiders and Wolfs booed heavilly onto Ninas announcement before she growled sharply into the mic earning their temporary fear.
"YEAH!"Kagura, Kagome and Aiji jumped up and down.
"AND THE WINNER IS INUYASHA OF THE INU GANG!"Nina screamed into the microphone.
All the Inus jumped up and down, even Sesshomaru who was slightly panicked that Inuyasha might not have won.
Inuyashas car parachute came out slowing him down. He breathed a sigh of relief.
"That was close,"he breathed.
"In second Kouga of the Wolfs! And in dead last, Naraku of the Spiders,"Nina gloated.
Inuyasha drove back where Aiji practically screamed when she saw that the front was smashed in. "WHAT HAPPENED?!"
"Thank you Aiji. No don't worry about me. I'm perfectly fine,"Inuyasha stated sarchastically while cracking his back.
"Oh yeah, whatever,"she stated dully. "BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BABY?!"
Inuyasha and Kagome sweat dropped.
"I accidently hit some rocks further up. You might wanna check on the breaks,"Inuyasha noted.
Kagome was so exicted and happy she pulled Inuyasha into a passionate kiss, suprising him and causing Aiji and Kagura to cheer them on.
"NEXT RACERS UP! Oh, wait a second, I'm racing next. KAGURA, COME ANNOUNCE!"Nina stated in the microphone blasting the eardrums from those standing next to the speakers.
"Good luck Aij, tell Nina I wish her luck too,"Kagura said.
"Show 'em what you can do kid,"Inuyasha patted her on the back. She stomped on his foot.
"I'm not a kid,"she stated, her spanish accent clear in that statement. She put on a smile, gave Inuyasha and Kagome a hug, and left for her car.
It wasn't long before victory came to the Inus on the two on two race. Aiji and Nina faced Ayame and another female wolf youkai, along with two from Narakus team, twins that Aiji nicknamed J and K since she had a hard time pronouncing their names.
The next race was a cycle race, where Miroku and Kagura raced against two others on each team. Unfortunately, victory went to the Spiders as Naraku had been one of the two racers on his team. Miroku secured second and Kagura third, still keeping the Inus in the lead. More races, including Kagome racing, had put the Spiders and Inus into a tie.
"Here we go folks. The last race to determine who will win!"Nina stated. "Currently we have the Spiders and Inus tied!" Both gangs booed.
"Members of the Inus,"she pointed at Inuyasha, "and the spiders,"she pointed at Naraku, "choose your best biker and bring them to the starting line!"
"Miroku, are you able to go?"Inuyasha asked.
Miroku shook his head. "The last race did some damage, I think one of the boosters broke some of the engine. It'd take a miracle to work this baby."
Kagome showed a worried face. "Kagura?"she asked.
She also shook her head. But a vroom of a black Honda motorcycle customized with boosters roared behind the Inus. A woman with long black hair, wearing a bikers uniform of all leather and a helmet covering her face nodded for them and took her place.
"We have a contestant for the INUS!"Nina proudly announced.
Following along, there was another woman in black leather. It was impossible to tell them apart. Their bikes were almost the same, their faces covered, with long hair poking from underneath.
"And one for the SPIDERS!"she pointed.
"LADIES, LETS GET THIS RACE STARTED!"Nina shouted into the mic.
Miroku moved into the front of them. Their engines were roaring. The way they griped the handle bars showed that they meant business. Miroku didn't know who was racing for them, but he was grateful to her.
He raised a white flag. Then he lowered it and the two women went flying.

Riley: That's enough for now.
Inuyasha: You're so evil!
Riley: What do you mean?!
Inuyasha: Leaving a clifhanger!? NOW?! WHO WINS?!
Kagome: *blushing* Inuyasha shirtless?
Riley: Next chapter comin.

Kagome was so exicted and happy she pulled Inuyasha into a passionate kiss, suprising him and causing Aiji and Kagura to cheer them on.
"NEXT RACERS UP! Oh, wait a second, I'm racing next. KAGURA, COME ANNOUNCE!"Nina stated in the microphone blasting the eardrums from those standing next to the speakers.
"Good luck Aij, tell Nina I wish her luck too,"Kagura said.
"Show 'em what you can do kid,"Inuyasha patted her on the back. She stomped on his foot.
"I'm not a kid,"she stated, her spanish accent clear in that statement. She put on a smile, gave Inuyasha and Kagome a hug, and left for her car.
It wasn't long before victory came to the Inus on the two on two race. Aiji and Nina faced Ayame and another female wolf youkai, along with two from Narakus team, twins that Aiji nicknamed J and K since she had a hard time pronouncing their names.
The next race was a cycle race, where Miroku and Kagura raced against two others on each team. Unfortunately, victory went to the Spiders as Naraku had been one of the two racers on his team. Miroku secured second and Kagura third, still keeping the Inus in the lead. More races, including Kagome racing, had put the Spiders and Inus into a tie.
"Here we go folks. The last race to determine who will win!"Nina stated. "Currently we have the Spiders and Inus tied!" Both gangs booed.
"Members of the Inus,"she pointed at Inuyasha, "and the spiders,"she pointed at Naraku, "choose your best biker and bring them to the starting line!"
"Miroku, are you able to go?"Inuyasha asked.
Miroku shook his head. "The last race did some damage, I think one of the boosters broke some of the engine. It'd take a miracle to work this baby."
Kagome showed a worried face. "Kagura?"she asked.
She also shook her head. But a vroom of a black Honda motorcycle customized with boosters roared behind the Inus. A woman with long black hair, wearing a bikers uniform of all leather and a helmet covering her face nodded for them and took her place.
"We have a contestant for the INUS!"Nina proudly announced.
Following along, there was another woman in black leather. It was impossible to tell them apart. Their bikes were almost the same, their faces covered, with long hair poking from underneath.
"And one for the SPIDERS!"she pointed.
"LADIES, LETS GET THIS RACE STARTED!"Nina shouted into the mic.
Miroku moved into the front of them. Their engines were roaring. The way they griped the handle bars showed that they meant business. Miroku didn't know who was racing for them, but he was grateful to her.
He raised a white flag. Then he lowered it and the two women went flying.

Riley: That's enough for now.
Inuyasha: You're so evil!
Riley: What do you mean?!
Inuyasha: Leaving a clifhanger!? NOW?! WHO WINS?!
Kagome: *blushing* Inuyasha shirtless?
Riley: Next chapter comin.
Inuyasha: And hopefully she'll hurry this time.
