Chapter 5: Naraku Is On Earth

The next morning after Tensei is dressed, a servant is sent to his quarters to inform him that breakfast has been prepared. He heads down stairs and into the area where food is eaten, only to see Sesshoumaru sitting down with his legs underneath him, silently staring ahead of him as his food remains untouched. Of course this comes as a surprise to Tensei, sense Sesshoumaru usually never leaves food untouched any longer than a second. Tensei quietly sits down in front of the table prepared for him, legs tucked underneath him. He sits there silently for a moment staring at his breakfast. Sesshoumaru breaks the silence by speaking in a monotone voice, “Well aren't you going to eat? I had the servants prepare your favorite morning dish…” “I'm leaving,” Tensei interrupts abruptly. “You can't leave.” “Why not?” “Because I said so…” Tensei pauses for a moment. Feeling very angry and hurt at the same time, but trying to suppress it out of fear; as he feels his body trembling, he utters with his head down partially and his eyes glaring to the side of him, with slight sarcasm and resentment in his voice, “So am I your sex slave now or something? Are you going to kill me if I try to leave?”

Sesshoumaru changes his voice suddenly from a cold tone to a nervous, jovial tone of voice as he laughs kiddingly, “You can leave if you want to. I don't care.” Tensei decides to test his words. “Alright then…I'm leaving.” In the blink of an eye, Sesshoumaru has him pent against a wall with his hand tightly gripping his throat. Microscopic amounts of his poison starts to seep out from his claws, causing light burns to Tensei's neck. Tensei gags as he struggles to break free, but it is to no avail. After glaring at him like a lion stalking his prey as he continues to hold on to Tensei's neck with a death grip for a few more seconds, Sesshoumaru finally releases him. Tensei gasps for air for a moment, then after coming close to having enough oxygen again in his system, he looks up at Sesshoumaru with tears in his eyes as he continues to hold onto his neck. Sesshoumaru looks into his eyes, and quickly calms down as his rage turns to guilt and then he quickly turns away. “You…you can leave if you want,” Sesshoumaru utters with surrender as he curses to himself silently, `Damn! I'll never find out what I need to know now…why did I have to go and be involved with him?' Sense Tensei came with nothing more than the clothes on his back; that is exactly how he ends up leaving.

Sesshoumaru takes him to the edge of the enchanted forest, creates a meidou and then Tensei passes through it, completely content at the moment towards the idea of never seeing Sesshoumaru again. However, that just wouldn't end up being so. Sesshoumaru recognizes that there is no possible way that Tensei would be able to survive on his own with little memory of who he is. So for that reason, although not the only one, he decides to follow him with the hope that maybe Tensei will trip up somewhere and then need Sesshoumaru to come and rescue him. Tensei treks across the country side aimlessly, none stop, for most of the day, before finally reaching the City of Kyoto in the late evening. As he walks down the streets, he notices a few people, particularly men staring at him in a peculiar manner. He just disregards them and keeps on walking. At some point, he notices that his surroundings have changed drastically from the surroundings he'd witnessed in the city earlier. Besides it seeming like a ghost town, the area seems darker and more shadowed, along with the streets not being as clean.

A much older, pudgy looking man suddenly appears before Tensei, before exclaiming drunkenly, as he staggers about, “I remember you! You're Tensei…that Burakumin who was everyone's favorite around here before you ran off after killing that baka!” “I don't know what you're talking about…everyone's favorite…what `baka?'” The older man, trying to use whatever equilibrium he has left in order to stay afoot continues to speak crudely, “Don't (hick up) play stupid with me, gaishou. (Hick up) I know I'm right. They use to say that you had the best piece of ass around. Then before I could try some of it for myself, you went and tore that man's head off of his body. How you did it, nobody knew, for you didn't even touch the man. Your eyes changed color and people thought you'd been possessed by a yokai or evil spirit. Then just as suddenly as everything happened, you came back to your senses I guess and ran off. No one ever saw you again. So I guess your running days are over now…finally decided to return to the one thing you do best, male whoring.”

A mixture of terror, turmoil, despair and confusion begins to grip Tensei's heart, as he replies in a tormented tone of voice, “That isn't true. That isn't me…it couldn't be!” “What, you honestly don't remember. Let's see…beautiful wavy, black hair that is longer than most women's, a body built like a god's, voluptuous lips, a chiseled face, pale creamy skin like fresh snow, blue azure tented eyes that almost seem to glow…how many ningen look like that…none…except for you. You're definitely him…I'll give you one grain of rice if you suck this cock for me…” As images of his former life start to hit him like ten million lightning bolts, Tensei falls to the ground on his knees as he grits his teeth and presses his hands to his ears with his eyes shut tight as tears begin to spill out of them. He screams hysterically, “Shut up! Liar! You're lying!!”

~ Tensei envisions all of the men and yokai that took him. He remembers how his father, mother and sister were slaughtered before his very eyes, having their heads sliced off by thieves over a few meager possessions as they forced him to watch. He remembers the first man that told him as he walked down the streets of Kyoto, dirty and hungry, with bloody and blistered feet, at the tender age of ten, that he would give him some money and food, if he did him a little favor. He had no idea that he would have to stick the man's penis in his mouth. He remembers the first release of another man's seed into his mouth and how he grimaced at the bitter and salty taste of it, never getting used to the taste of male ejaculation, no matter how many times he had to continue to not only taste but swallow different men and yokai's seed again and again afterwards. He remembers the immense despair he often felt and the constant sense that he was a prisoner in his own body.

He envisions the time the man had mentioned, when one evening he blacked out after a man taunted him over and over again with very demeaning and degrading names before grabbing him and then trying to rape him. No one tried to stop the man or come to Tensei's aid. That's when he remembers blacking out. He regained consciousness, only to see a man with his head severely severed from his body, lying dead before him. People started to surround the scene before staring at Tensei as if he were the one who'd killed the man. That's when some of the people started shouting that he was a yokai and that he was cursed. He remembers how he ran away and hid in the forest in the shivering cold, for the rest of the night. After that day, he roamed about the country side until he reached a beach populated with fisherman and their ships.

Out of nowhere, a man asked him if he would like to work on his ship and that he would pay him for it. Tensei agreed. He did such a good job his first try, that the man decided to let him work for him longer. He ended up working there for two years. Everything was going well, but when he finally thought that he could live a normal life and be happy, the man who he had grown to trust got him alone in his quarters on the ship before trying to rape him. The man told him that he knew his little secret, that he had been a male prostitute. Someone had brought up his name while he was visiting some friends in Kyoto. The man told Tensei what they had said; that he was the best they'd ever had and now he was going to see for himself. Tensei managed to kick him in the groin as the man attacked him, before running out onto the bridge of the boat. The man who was the captain of the ship called out to his ship mates to capture him. After that, he remembered nothing else until he woke up in Sesshoumaru's castle. ~
