Chapter 1: The Hateful Half-Siblings

Kagome sat down at her desk. She was happy to be back to school. She had been going all week long and she had made up all of her work. Inu-Yasha had told her that she could go home for a week. It really wasn't as easy as it sounded. She'd had to persuade him to let her come home and Kagome was thankful that she had the power to "sit" Inu-Yasha. The bell rang and the students in her class filed in. They all sat down as the teacher walked into the room. Behind her were two boys.
"Good morning class," the teacher said.
"Good morning Sensei," the members of the class replied.
She smiled.
"Before we begin today's lessons I would like to introduce you to your new classmates. This is Derek and Julian Andrews. They come to us from the United States."
A chorus of hellos came afterwards.
"Let's see. Julian why don't you sit behind Kagome and Derek you sit behind your brother.
"Julian is my half-brother, Sensei," Derek said.
"Gomen boys! I will remember that next time."
Kagome looked up at Julian and Derek as they walked by.
There's something about those two. They look familiar to me.
It then clicked when she got a good look at Julian.
He looks like Inu-Yasha in his human form.
Kagome turned around quickly. There was something about the two of them. As the day went on she began to wonder about them. They fought a lot. The teacher moved Derek to the other side of the classroom to hopefully stop the fighting. At lunch she overheard another fight between the two of them. Julian was constantly throwing out curse words at Derek. Derek held a calm and arrogant mask. It never wavered. He was very serious and hadn't smiled at all that day. He reminded Kagome of Sesshoumaru. Kagome walked away from them.
Could they be reincarnations of Inu-Yasha and Sesshoumaru?
She turned again to watch the teacher stop the fight before it got physical. The teacher then turned and saw Kagome.
"Kagome, I must say you have really made a comeback this week."
"Thank you," Kagome said as she blushed.
"You have turned in all your work and you have greatly improved."
"It's too bad it might not last. This week has been too good to be true. I will most likely get sick again."
"You should really get out more."
The teacher then turned to look at the boys who were scowling. She then looked back at Kagome.
"Why don't you and these two go eat lunch together?"
Kagome tried to hold back her dread as she nodded to the teacher and got Derek and Julian to follow her. Lunch went OK as well as the rest of the day. Kagome left the school as soon as the bell rang. She was going to go talk to Kaede about what she had seen during the day.
