Reincarnations

Kagome's mind blazed with thoughts of Inuyasha. Things had calmed down quite a bit since Naraku had been destroyed and the Shikon no Tama was safe again. She would only occasionally got back to the feudal Era to see how her friends were getting along. But now her grades were suffering and she knew she couldn't just go back whenever she liked.

She came closer to school, people laughed and joked, and she noticed her friends. As she made her way to them she was bumped into by a girl about the same height as her. The girl had long raven colored hair that fell about her shoulders. It looked silky to the touch and forbidden. The girl smiled nervously and whispered a small gomen.

"Ii yo." Kagome held out her hand, " My name's Kagome, what's yours?"

"I'm Rina." The girl nodded shyly

Kagome could tell by her accent that even though the girl was Japanese, she was from America. "You must be a new student."

"Yes, I'm from America. But I'm sure you can tell huh?"

"Yeah. My friends are over there, why don't you come and meet them?"

"Sure!" The girl nodded with obvious excitement.

At the end of the day Kagome found herself walking her new friend home. Rina had asked her if she wanted to come over. Kagome was overjoyed; she wanted to see all the things that Rina would have from America. Questions about the country had been racing through her head most of the day. I wonder what it must be like to live there?

"So where in America are you from?"

"Cali."

"Cali? I've never heard of that place. Which state is it in?"

Rina giggled and smiled lightly, "Cali is just a nickname for California. I'm from Los Angeles." Rina stopped in front of a huge house.

"Wow, that's a big house."

"Yeah. Come inside, I got some stuff I want to show you."

Kagome silently nodded her head; "Your folks must be rich."

Rina laughed, "They are now. When our band went big they got paid cause I'm a minor."

"Nani?"

Rina opened the door and welcomed Kagome in, "Yeah. My parents live in America, I moved here with my band."

"You're in a band."

"Yeah, we're called the Mad Dogs. I know it sounds lame but, my boyfriend thought of it."

"Your boyfriend? Is he in America?"

" No," Rina led Kagome into the music room; "he's in the band too."

"Oh, what's his name?"

"Sessho." Rina went to search for one of their CDs.

As soon as the name left her mouth Kagome was quickly reminded of Inuyasha's older brother Sesshoumaru. Who would have known that they would have formed a truce after Naraku's demise? Even more confusing was the little girl that Sesshoumaru kept at his side, Rin. Then something strange hit Kagome, Rina…Sesshoumaru…it couldn't be. She quickly shook the thought from her mind.

"Ah ha!" Rina laughed triumphantly

"What?"

"Our latest CD, our first one kinda bombed. Our manager told us we weren't punk enough to be punk. So we had to…well…punk up our image. That's when," she threw the CD to Kagome, "we started hitting the charts."

Kagome looked over the CD case. It had a huge black dog with red eyes mangling a young man. Behind it was a scene of blood and black ooze. She flipped it over and read the songs on the back. "Can we listen to it?"

"Sure, the CD is in the stereo anyway." Rina pushed a few buttons and loud pounding music emerged

It really wasn't Kagome's kind of music. But like the sound of the man's voice and that when it occurred to her. She didn't know what instrument Rina played. She flipped through the booklet for answers and was surprised at what she found.

Drums: Yasha Wakamoto

Kagome looked up; "Your boyfriend has a brother?"

Rina nodded, "Yeah, Yasha. He's cool and stuff." Rina bobbed her head to the song; "He's Satan on the drums though."

Kagome nodded, "And all of you are from America."

"Kinda, I'm a citizen. But Sessho and Yasha are from Kyoto, and Takeshi…well I'm not sure about him. He has this funny accent though, but it might be because his whole family has an accent." Rina cocked her head to the side thinking

"Oh."

After a few more songs Kagome decided to go home. She couldn't help but wonder what the brothers looked like and why their names were so similar to Inuyasha's and Sesshoumaru's? Maybe they were like her. They could be Reincarnations of the people from the Feudal Era. Oh my god! Inuyasha could have a Reincarnation.

"Hopefully when you come back again you can meet them." Rina smiled as she escorted Kagome to the door, "Have a good night."

" Yeah, I would love to meet the other members. You have a good night too."

Kagome walked home slowly. She couldn't help wondering she just had to find out. What if she was meant to be with this Yasha guy and leave Kikyou to Inuyasha? She let out a sad sigh and walked home and up to her home. She was determined to meet Yasha and Sessho, and if things were as they seemed…she'd have to tell Inuyasha. This was certainly weird and yet, it intrigued Kagome. All she could do was hope that every thing worked out for the best.
