Chap. 8- Par-tae!! (not so fun)

An: My Hunny Bunny helped me write this… I had a hard time fitting Kareena in… but at least she's here next chapter…

Kagome entered the house with Rai on her arm, and her band at her back. He smiled at her. "where's your invite, wench?" Miroku said.

"oh hentai don't you know since you were snooping around my rooms?" she retorted with a hiss.

"leave her alone Miroku." Inu's voice carried over to them for a table. "join us would you?"

Kagome narrowed her eyes at him but took his offer. As she sat Miroku kept an eye on her, as if he could do any thing to her…

"so, Kagome, where did you get your invite from?" Inu asked breaking the silence that had settled between his band and Kagome.

" I… A little bird delivered it to my bedroom door yesterday night." She looked at Rin, who was looking down at her feet. Inu caught the glance and also stared at the girl, who looked up under his gaze, caught his eyes and then looked away again. He smiled seeing the glance no one else did.

"funny little looking bird but okay, I'll take the bait." He said looking at Kagome still smiling. She shook her head dismissing her thoughts.

"so what's this song I hear? She wasn't real…. I can't feel… my heart beating any more… because she's stolen it… and ran." Kagome said slowly gaining looks from the band. "Where the fuck did it come from?"

"I was hurt, bleeding from my heart, alone. Then I met a girl, she has a band, and she's hiding her emotions, and taken my heart and ran." He paused purring as he did. Kagome hissed at the approach he was taking. He glared at her. "Feh."

"Don't feh me you miserable dog." Kagome glared at him. "I came here to have fun and you're stomping all over it. Good bye." She stood moving through the crowd that had magically appeared.

Rai had lost her in the crowd and he let her go. Inu had stood and was moving away from the table. "You… you will pay for making her angry."

"Settle down Rai. Think about what I just said to her. Then you will know what lies in her heart." He left then. Rai stood feeling alone. He sat heavily thinking.

"The bitch…" he realized finally what every thing meant. His eyes flared with anger. "I'm going back to the Manor, Sango. I no longer feel welcome here." He stood and vanished through the crowd.

"What's that about?" She whispered.

Kagome watched Rai leave through the front door but it didn't register until she had thought it through. She shook her head, it was a lost cause, and if he wanted to leave she couldn't stop him. "Well my beauty what do you want to listen to?"

"Sesshoumaru, my tormenter, how are you? And why the hell did you give Rin the invite to give to me? Not smart, not smart at all. I don't like when my people are manipulated. And I defiantly don't like you calling me yours." She hissed turning towards him.

"How about this?" he slipped a disc into the player. One of Inu's songs started playing.

"Turn that crap off." She said darkening her eyes dangerously.

"Why, thank you for the compliment." Inu walked up behind her.

She glared at him, and then another song started. She recognized it instantly. "No…"

Her own voice carried through the air. "Once upon a midnight's dream… I found you along side me… you told me not to be afraid… and to push myself away… no one's told me different… no one tells me a thing… but once upon my midnight dream… I found you again beside me…"

"What's this Kagome? A weakness?" Sesshoumaru asked.

"You sent him to tape me. You told him to go to my house and tape me. You are dead when I get my hands on you, Sesshoumaru. You will die, for dishonoring my father." She ran towards him but found she couldn't move forward.

Inu's arm had wrapped around her. His cheek buried into her hair. She saw his mouth out of the corner of her eye. "Stop Kagome, now is not the time."

She threw her head back bashing him in the nose, causing him to release her. She jumped to the platform Sesshoumaru was on. Her eyes had turned a golden brown. Kagome bolted for him as he ran. Humans with their curiosity had gathered stupidly around the two youkai. Suddenly Kagome stopped, her face turned into a facade and she backed away. "Where is Rai?"

She turned away from Sesshoumaru with the second thought. "He left, because of you." Inu said healed already from her bashing his nose in.

"What did you tell him you no good son of a…"

"No need to be harsh wench. I told him what he wanted to know. Along with your band."

"No…" she ran for the door people scattering to get out of her way. As soon as she was out side she felt the beast calling her. She let go. The form took her directly to the house where she returned to her human form. She closed her eyes and walked in quietly.

"Rai!!" she called almost in tears. No answer came. She could smell his scent but it was fading.

"RAI!!"

An: wasn't supposed to turn out that way… but hey so it happened a chapter before it was supposed to… sorry. Well Kareena's entrance is next…
