Chapter 5
Bankotsu sat on a bolder in the forest. His knees were tucked into his chest his arms wrapped around his legs. ' what is wrong with me. why cant i become a master why her damn it.' shaking his head trying to rid him self of all his negitive thoughts. streaching out his white clad legs he let his mind wonder back to the day he first met her.
"father why do i have to meet this girl?"
annoyed at the boys questions riko glared at him while throwing his long black braided hair behind his back and settling his blue eyes on bankotsu he answered. " because one day she is going to be your wife and you two will bring peace to us and the shikons. now no more questions"
sighing to him self a 8 year old bankotsu shuffled his feet heading down the secret path to the shikon village. ' dang it i dont want to have to marry this girl but if i do i will be the leader of both tribes cause theres no way a girl could be stronger than me.' smirking bankotsu picked up his pace.
riko looked down at his son smileing. ' so hes figured it out one day my child will become the leader of all the assassins. what was Herra thinking his child is female and a year younger than mine. The laws state who ever is the weakest in the joining will hold main controll.'
"Father" bankotsu asked taking note that he was in a daze and hadnt realized they had come upon the village.
blinking and looked at his son. " so we have arrived." nodding his head he walked towards the gate.
"why cant i beat him up mommy" A seven year old kagome asked.
her mother was sitting next to her father in a high back wooden chair, stone wall behind them it looked as if they were king and queen. kagome sat on the edge of the raised platform her parents chairs were placed on.
hearing a chuckle the family looked to the door at the far end of the room. " because if you beat him up who else are you going to play with?" riko smiled at the little girl. " Lord and lady Hirashira" he and bankotsu bowed.
standing and bowing back they both spoke " Lord star" .
Bankotsu had eyes locked with kagomes his mind running a mile a minute.' shes so pretty i get to marry her. ha this is going to be eaiser than i thought.' his thoughts were interupted as a tall silver haird inu-demon walked into the room and stood next to kagome.
"Sesshoumaru-sama" the little girl squealed.
the stoic lord nooded his head in greating.
Bankotsu glared at the demon lord ' who the hell is this guy her body guard'
sesshoumaru noticing the boy's glared smirked. Kagome looked betoween the two and smiled. " momma may bankotsu, sesshoumaru and i go to the gardens?"
" yes dear that would be a good idea you play nice now okay"
kagome smiled wide " yes momma thank you" she took of running towards bankotsu. he stood there wide eye'd she got right to him and grabbed his hand taking off after sesshoumaru who already left to the garden.
Blocking his eyes from the bright sun by moving his arm over he his eyes bankotsu looked at the sight before him. There were cherry trees in full bloom, flowers of every kind, a few koy ponds and small water fall and in the big middle was a hedge maze. "wow" he breathed out.
" I know momma made it all and told daddy hes not to touch it or she will turn him to ash" giggling the little girl smiled at bankotsu.
looking down at the smiling girl bankotsu felt his heart warm. ' huh this girl is so cute and innocent bet she hasnt even started training i dont think they will train someone like her'
kagome was waving her hands infront of bankotsu's face " hello any one home?"
"huh, sorry" he gave a nervus laugh.
"s'ok what do you want to play?"
smirking bankotsu looked to the demon lord. " i got just the game"
kagome was in a tree house that was nothing more than a floor four walls and a roof. " oh help me white knight the evil lord's got me" she said while giggling.
sesshoumaru stood at the base of the tree house seething to him self ' dont blow up there just kids let them play'
bankotsu jumped out of some bushes infront of sesshomaru holding a wooden sword out in front of him. " back evil demon lord, im here to save the princess"
sesshoumaru rolled his eyes as he pulled out a wooden sword. they hit 'blades' a few times before he allowed the boy to 'stab' him under his arm. sesshoumaru fell to his kness " you have bested me knight" he leaned aginst the tree and closed his eyes all while thinking ' thank kami its over'
"YAY my white knight have saved me" kagome gigled as she climbed down the tree house steps.
bankotsu had a smug look on his face " good always wins over evil!"
kagome laughed as she ran over and hugged him. suprising bankotsu and making his turn three shades of red.
"kagome time lunch" sesshoumaru said while he stood and dusted him self off.
"hai lord sesshoumaru" she said while smiling and running after him.
Bankotsu stood frozen to his spot. " bankotsu you must eat too" the demon lord spoke. shaking his head he followed after the too " damn that demon why did he have to get her to stop"
sesshoumaru looked back at the boy ' theres something not right about him. i can sense a lot of good but there is just to much evil for a boy his age. i'm not going to leave him alone with kagome.'

"damn those inu's always comming between whats mine" bankotsu growled out on his rock. " thats it im going to get her now!" bankotsu started running in the direction of the village. "her white knight to the rescue"
not far from bankotsu's sitting place a inu-demon with long silver hair growled out ' i made a promise hes getting near her' smirking ' looks like i found something to kill after all'. sesshoumaru silently following behind his new found prey.

Inuyasha landed in the wells clearing. kagome slid off his back placing her feet on the damp grass as a cool breze blew through the clearing. inuyashas eyes were glued to her fourm ' does she not know how beautful she is'
kagome tilted her face towards the suns warmth letting it glow warm her all over.
inuyasha breath hitched.
looking at him with an confused expression she asked " what's wrong inuyahsa?"
blushing and averting his eyes at being caught " you just looked really nice like that."

nodding his head they made there way to the well, pulling kagome close to him causeing them both blush he jumped on the ledge of the well jumping once more in the air for a smooth ride down the well.
" GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY WOMAN" they both turned to look at the person screaming. " bankotsu" kagome said " sesshoumaru" inuyasa asked stunned.
both demon and assassin rushed at the well. right when inuyashas head passed the rim heading down bankotsu jumpped in followed by sesshoumaru. A blue light shone and the well was empty.
