Chapter 10

Naraku

Sango walked closer to what looked to be like Kohaku. "Kohaku is that you?" He just stood there with his usual blank stare. He had his weapon raised.

"How come I didn't smell his scent earlier?" Inuyasha asked out loud.

"That's because the wind changed."

They all looked at the new figure that was walking toward them. "Kagura!"

"Naraku sent me once again for the miko."

"Your not getting her so back off." Inuyasha yelled. He grabbed Kagome and hugged her to him.

"That's too bad. Naraku will stop at nothing to get what he wants." She glared at Kagome. "Come with me miko and Kohaku won't do anything else."

"No, Kagome don't do it." Sango yelled. "I'll stop him myself."

"Sango." Kagome said in a sympathetic voice.

"Don't worry I know it's not really Kohaku." Sango said. "I'll be fine."

"Sango don't do it." Kagome screamed. Inuyasha held her where she was.

"Well it seems like those two will be busy for a while. Looks like I'll be fighting you once again Inuyasha." Kagura said.

"Like your any match for me." Inuyasha took out the tetsusaiga and charged at her.

Kagome ran to Sango. Her and Kohaku just stood there. They weren't doing a thing.

"Kohaku do you really not remember me?" Sango asked. "I'm your sister. I'm all you have left."

"I have no family." Kohaku said in a monotone voice.

"Listen to me Kohaku I am your family."

"I only listen to Naraku. I am to take you out and bring the miko to him." He took out his weapon and aimed it at Sango.

"No Sango." Miroku yelled. He pushed her out of the way. He got hit in the arm.

"Miroku." Sango and Kagome yelled at the same time.

"I'm fine. It's only a flesh wound."

"Miroku." Sango said. She stood up and faced Kohaku.

"Ha is that all you can do?" Inuyasha said.

"No why waste my best techniques on a worthless hanyou like you?" Kagura said and sent another set of wind blades at him.

Inuyasha jumped up and came down on Kagura. He managed to get a gash in her arm. Before he could hit her again she had blown him back with her fan.

"You'll pay for that." Kagura said. She prepared to do it again only to be stopped by an arrow. The arrow hit her shoulder.

Kagome was standing behind Inuyasha. The bow she used was the one she created out of her energy. She released the energy and it disappeared. "Are you ok Inuyasha?"

"Feh it takes a lot more than that to bring me down." Inuyasha said. He stood up and picked up the tetsusaiga.

"Go back to Sango. She may need your help. I'll be fine." Inuyasha said. Kagome nodded and ran back to Sango and Miroku.

Kohaku was attacking Sango. All Sango was doing was blocking his attacks. They were running back and forth.

"How is she doing?" Kagome asked.

"All she has been doing is blocking his attacks. She doesn't want to hurt him." Miroku said.

"How are you doing?" Kagome asked.

"I'm fine it only stings now."

Kagome brought her hand over his wound and closed her eyes. "Kagome-sama what are you doing?" Miroku asked. He was a little confused. Then he saw blue energy come out of her hands and onto his arm.

"There how does it feel now?" Kagome asked.

Miroku flexed his arms and looked at her. "The wound is gone."

"Did you forget about my power to heal? I didn't think it would work but it did."

"Ah hai I remember now."

"I don't know what to do? Inuyasha is fighting with Kagura and Sango is fighting Kohaku and I'm sure neither would appreciate it if we interfered." Kagome said.

"We can only have faith in them and help when they ask for it. Especially Sango. Ever since Naraku took over his body and mind Sango's been torn apart. She doesn't know what to do and Naraku only makes it worse by making him fight her."

"That's true. I just feel so useless right now." Kagome said. "I'm going to check on Inuyasha."

Miroku nodded and watched Sango and Kohaku fight. He felt just like Kagome. Useless.

Kagome ran over to where Inuyasha and Kagura last fought. She only saw Inuyasha.

"Where's Kagura?" Kagome asked.

"I don't know I was about to use kaze no kizu on her but she disappeared after that. I can't smell her either. Didn't I tell you to go help Sango?" Inuyasha said.

"Sango doesn't need my help. Besides she has Miroku there to help her if she needs it." Kagome said.

Suddenly Kohaku stopped attacking Sango. He walked over to where Kagome and Inuyasha were. He stood in front of everyone with the same blank stare.

A shadow appeared from behind him. It molded into a figure. As the shadow formed they could see Naraku standing behind Kohaku. He had an arm on Kohaku's shoulder and a smirk on his face.

"What the fuck are you doing here Naraku?" Inuyasha yelled.

"I came for the miko of course." Naraku said.

"You can't have her. She's my mate." Inuyasha growled and grabbed Kagome holding her tight.

"You think I care if she's already mated to a worthless hanyou like you? What could you give her?" Naraku asked.

"Inuyasha don't fall for his tricks he's just trying to get to you. Don't let him mess with your head." Miroku yelled.

"You forget one thing Naraku you're a hanyou too." Inuyasha smirked.

Naraku was mad now. He hated being called a hanyou. Inuyasha saying that made it ten times worse than usual. His eyes flashed red. He sent his tentacles out in every direction.

Kagura came out from the shadows she was hiding in. Naraku was getting mad over a comment by which he says is a pathetic hanyou. She just watched.

Inuyasha picked Kagome up bridal style and dodged as many tentacles as he could. Sango and Miroku jumped on Kirara. They were struggling to stay away from them.

Kohaku was trying to take Inuyasha down with his weapon. He was trying to hit him so he would let go of Kagome.

One of the tentacles grabbed Kagome's arm. She was jerked back and pulled out of Inuyasha's arms. She fell to the ground with a thud. She heard a crack. The wrist the tentacle grabbed was now broken because she had used it to break her fall.

She couldn't do anything about it at the moment because Naraku was walking toward her. Now that her wrist was broken she couldn't from an arrow out of her miko power.

He kept walking towards her. Every step he took she took two back. She looked over at Sango and Miroku they were busy fighting Naraku's puppet. He must have thrown it down after she fell.

She looked to Inuyasha. He was fighting a puppet too. Every time he tried to run to Kagome a tentacle would trip him and slam him to the ground.

Kagome didn't know what to do. She forced all her power into her good arm and released it at Naraku. Inuyasha saw what happened and tore threw the puppet. He ran to her.

Naraku's left arm was burning. He felt pain. Why was it that she was the only one so far who had done so much damage to him? The last time she hit him with an arrow and destroyed his body.

Kagome used all of her energy on Naraku. All she managed to do was burn his arm. She started feeling dizzy. She had used too much energy. `Should have saved some so I could at least stay conscious.' She thought.

Sango and Miroku had just finished fighting the puppet that was in their way. They all ran towards Naraku and Kagome. Inuyasha dashed past them.

They all watched as Kagome fell to the ground. Her body lay there limp. Naraku picked her up and looked at her. He turned to Inuyasha and smirked.

"Looks like the miko is mine now." Naraku said and started to float away with Kagome in his arms. Kagura and Kohaku soon followed him.

"Get back her you bastard." Inuyasha yelled. He ran after them. He soon lost sight of them. They were too fast.

"Kagome." Inuyasha said and he dropped to the ground.

"Okaa-san." Shippo cried. He had been hiding in some bushes while everyone else was fighting.

"Oh no Kagome is gone." Sango said.

Everyone rushed to Inuyasha's side. Sango carried Shippo and Kirara. They all kneeled down next to Inuyasha.

"I let her get taken away again. I promised I wouldn't let her get taken and now she's gone. That fucker is going to pay." Inuyasha said as he pounded his fist to the ground.

Shippo jumped out of Sango's arms and into Inuyasha's. He was crying hard now.

"Don't worry pup we'll get her back." Inuyasha said to him. He patted his head.

"We have no idea where his castle is. How will we find her now?" Sango asked.

"We have no leads as to where he might've gone either." Miroku said.

"I know where Naraku is." Someone said.
