Chapter 16

Epilogue

Inuyasha, Shippo, Miroku, Kohaku, and Kirara were standing outside of Kaede's hut. "Inuyasha sit still." Miroku said.

Inuyasha just glared at him. He'd been pacing back and forth since the middle of the night. It was about noon. His nerves were on end. He cringed when he heard another scream. He had to force himself to stay outside.

The last time he ran in the hut after hearing Kagome scream Sango yelled at him saying it was normal and knocked him out with Hiraikotsu. She'd got tired of him running in the hut when they told him not to.

"INUYASHA!" He heard. He didn't know what to do. Should he go in? Should he stay? He stood outside the hut door. Finally Sango appeared at the door and nodded for him to go in.

He ran in the hut and was by Kagome's side in an instant. He looked at her. She was covered in sweat. Her hair was pasted to her head. "Kagome are you ok?" He asked her.

"Am I ok?" She yelled. "I'm having a baby Inuyasha and you ask if I'm ok?"

Inuyasha's ears flattened against his head. `Guess that was a stupid question to ask.' He thought. He didn't want to make her mad. While she was pregnant she would always sit him or yell at him. Her mood swings were horrible.

Inuyasha grabbed her hand and instantly regretted it when Kaede told Kagome to push. He could have sworn he heard a bone crack. It would heal soon but it still hurt. He whispered to Kagome that it would be over soon.

After a whole bunch of screaming a new one was added. "It's a boy!" Sango said. They washed the baby off, wrapped it in a blanket and handed him to Kagome.

He was so small. He had little white ears on top of his head. "He's so adorable." Sango said. She called everyone so they could come see the pup.

"That's my new brother?" Shippo asked.

"Hai."

"What's his name?" Shippo asked.

"I never thought about one." Kagome said.

"Me neither." Inuyasha said.

"Well we should all leave so you can get some rest." Sango said and pushed everyone out of the hut.

"What should we name him?" Inuyasha asked after everyone left.

"How about Inuki?" Kagome said.

"I like it." Inuyasha said. He kissed Kagome. "I love you."

"I love you too." Kagome said.

They both fell asleep with Inuki. Later Shippo snuck in and snuggled in with them and fell asleep. Now their family was complete.

(Sniff) It's over. I hope you like it. Bear with me on the name. I wanted to keep Inu in the name. I like the name Inuki. It means spirit. Now that this fic is over I would just like to let you know that I'm going to put up the sequel to this sequel. It's called Curse of The Jewel. I'm still working on it now.
