Authors note: Ummm...... well, this is my first story. If you like this story, please r&r so I know SOMEONE is appreciating my work. My story may suck, but I'll say it anyway: PLEASE DO NOT STEAL MY CHARACTERS OR MY PLOT. Names I can deal with, seeing as I borrowed alot of them from other shows and stuff like that.... Umm.... so..... anyway. LET THE STORY BEGIN!! lol.




Kagome lay on her back on the sleeping mat in Kaede’s hut. She knew she wasn’t going to make it.
“Inuyasha..” she whispered. Inuyasha ran to her side.
“I’m here Kagome.” Kagome smiled up at Inuyasha and it made his heart clench. The smell of death was coming upon her.
“Inuyasha...I’ve always wanted to tell you that I.... I l.....” Kagome squeezed her eyes shut as she took her last breath of air, and with it, she said: “I love you Inuyasha.”
Inuyasha cried a silent tear as he whispered back to her: “I love you, too, Kagome.” Inuyasha kissed her gently and walked out to inform Kaede that she was gone. Kaede and Miroku performed her 'sending’ while Inuyasha went to go tell her mother.
“Mrs. Higurashi?” Inuyasha said after entering the Higurashi home. Kagome’s mother came out from the kitchen and said: “Yes, Inuyasha dear? Is something wrong? Where is Kagome?” Inuyasha lowered his head and spoke softly to her, explaining what happened.


Kagome was fiercely shooting arrows in every direction at the hanyou girl attacking the village, but so far, none of the arrows were making contact with the girl.
Inuyasha was out again meeting Kikyou. It was just her, Sango, and Miroku. Miroku was throwing sacred sutra’s at the girl, but like Kagome’s situation, none of them would hit. Sango threw her Hiraikotsu at the girl and it made some contact, but not enough to servirely hurt the girl, though that was what she was trying to do.
Kagome continued to shoot arrows at her and the girl continued to dodge everyone of them. Finally, one of them hit the girl and she screamed out in pain. She stopped and turned to Kagome.
“Ugh!” the girl screamed. She then headed straight at Kagome, as Inuyasha came back into the village. She slashed her claws wildly at Kagome, and all of the slashes made contact. Kagome’s eyes widened as she howled out in pain and dropped to her knees. Inuyasha ran at top speed to Kagome as the female hanyou ran out into the woods. He wrapped her up in his arms and held her close to him and whispered in her ear: “It’s ok Kagome, you’ll be ok. Don’t go dying on me Kagome! I’m sorry, I should have never left you. I’m so sorry!”

Kagome’s mother burst into tears when she heard what had happened. Inuyasha hugged her tight as she cried on his shoulder. He apoligized a dozen times, but Mrs. Higurashi repeatedly said its not his fault. She fell asleep shortly after and Inuyasha jumped back through the well, after shedding a single tear and saying good-bye to Kagome’s time, forever.
