Chapter 10: Right Along with You

Kagome woke up with Sesshoumaru no where in sight. She had mixed berries for dinner yesterday and they tasted good but it was kind of a light dinner. She basically wanted meat but she'll survive as long as she eats and has water. She rubbed her eyes and blinked a few times. Standing up to look around more she stared into the beautiful land. Even in the morning the place was breath taking and she thought it was just magical for something to be like this.

She started to walk for the stream but something stopped her. She turned around to see Sesshoumaru looking at her like she never knew he could. In his eyes it was something that she couldn't understand. Automatically she blushed and kept walking towards the stream. She washed her face and she felt Sesshoumaru's eyes still on her. Kagome turned around and he was walking closer. “Um…good morning Sesshoumaru.” She said with a half smile.

`Why is he looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face? Is there anything in my hair? Why the hell is he looking like that?' Kagome smile turned into a nervous grin. `Maybe my smell? Yes I could be that!'

Sesshoumaru then stopped walking when he was at least three feet away. “Kagome.” He simply said. “Yes Sesshoumaru?”

“Do you know about your powers? Do you know what you really are?”

“No not really.” Kagome backed up.

Without warning Sesshoumaru walked up to Kagome and grabbed her close to him. `I will begin her transformation now.' He then smacked her and backed up to see her reaction. `This will take like one day.'

Suddenly Kagome was smacked real hard. “I will make sure you know who and what you really are Kagome.” Sesshoumaru narrowed his eyes. `This is going to be cold but it's the only way for her to transform.'

Kagome then felt waves of anger coming from Sesshoumaru. Tears formed at her eyes immediately when she realized he smacked her. “What did you do that for?”

Faster than the eye can see Sesshoumaru give her another smack again causing her to fall on the ground. “Stop! Sesshoumaru what did I do?” She held her cheek with the tears flowing freely.

“It's what you didn't do.” Sesshoumaru said coldly.

He then kicked her and kicked her until she was bleeding. Her clothes were torn and dirty by the time he picked her up by her throat. Amazing enough she was still alive. When she looked into his eyes she saw pure coldness. Then thinking about it at the same time she was starting kicking him. “Let me go!” Then she bit his hand that was holding her throat and he let go.

“Bastard!” she called running away.

“Naraku the group seemed to stop finding shards. Lord Sesshoumaru is the person keeping the group at bay.” A creepy girl with emotionless eyes and a mirror said.

“Kanna since they are so occupied I'll get the shards from other places and then go after them last. Go tell Kagura that the meeting will go as planned. We will take Kikyo and Inuyasha will have no choice but to come for her. Then our precious miko from the future will be too heart broken doing to fight me.” Naraku said with an evil grin.

“Yes Naraku.” Kanna walked out of the room and smiled when she saw Kagura.

“He has no idea that Kagome is in love with Sesshoumaru and will become stronger in their future fight.” Kanna paused for a minute. “Naraku said `the meeting will go as planned' so go get Kikyo quickly. Don't do anything foolish either we both are going to be in serious trouble if he finds out what really is going on.” Kagura grinned and walked away after hearing Kanna's words.

“I'm not as long as you get to Kagome before the final battle I don't care.” She coldly said before walking off to the exit of the temple.

`I hope Kanna knows what she is doing. I don't want to lose my heart to Naraku. After all I want to be really one with the wind. More like gone with the wind.'

Kanna walked into her own room after watching Kagura fly away on her feather. Naraku was much stronger now that he was able to go near or even touch Kikyo and he always had that voice of confidence in him. Closing her door she said calmly, “Come to me Sonoske.” After waiting a minute Sonoske appeared.

“Yes Lady Kanna.” He asked quickly.

“Make sure nothing happens to Kagome or Sesshoumaru. I want to make sure Naraku knows nothing of what he's going to face when he fights his last battle. Say hello to your mate to me too.” Kanna said lowly.

“Yes milady and I will make sure my mate gets your hello.” Sonoske said with a low voice as well.

“Now go before Naraku or another demon picks up your scent.” Kanna said turning around towards the window. In a flash Sonoske was gone and back at the castle he served.

Naraku still was feeling edgy and he didn't know why in the world Kanna would tell him that Sesshoumaru is taking care of the group.

Kagome felt her body being torn apart by Sesshoumaru's claws. It wasn't that she was bleeding it was the killer headache coming on her. Sesshoumaru said a few cold comments and for some reason he wasn't taking out his sword. If he really wanted to kill her he would have took out his sword and swing it once. `Is he doing this to torture me? Did I arrange the things in his room wrong? That's it! I'm getting sick and tired of me running and he still catching me and hitting me shit!'

Sesshoumaru has been going at this for seven hours and she still didn't change not one bit. Kagome then growled and glowed a bright blue. Careful not to touch her he backed up a bit.

“Sesshoumaru.” A cold voice said coming from Kagome. Suddenly everything went bright blue and Sesshoumaru couldn't see a thing. `Finally. She can take a beating before healing herself.'

Kagome felt something pull at her stomach before glowing. She closed her eyes and blue light was every where. Her whole body was burning and one final tear ran down her cheek.

Sesshoumaru opened his eyes trying to find Kagome. That's when he saw a figure lying on the grass between a few flowers. White hair, blue nails, soft pale skin, and ten feet long wings were sprayed across the ground. `I wonder what her reaction is going to be. She healed herself perfectly and transformed without screaming.' Picking Kagome up Sesshoumaru made sure not to ruin her wings. They were tipped with blue and white as snow. Her hair was white also and it made her seem like she was old. `Let me go find her some berries before she wakes up.'

Kagome woke up with her hair in her mouth. Spitting it out and sitting up she reached to put her hair behind her ear. Opening her eyes she tried to remember what happened. The full moon was out tonight and she was just memorized by it. Looking around she saw Sesshoumaru watching her with his golden eyes.

“You really don't have to stare at me Sesshoumaru. I feel very uncomfortable.” Kagome felt her cheeks heat up when his gaze became more intense. Sesshoumaru lifted himself off the ground where he was lying down and came to Kagome quickly.

“You are beautiful Kagome.” He said slowly so Kagome can hear him.

Kagome blushed, “What? I'm not beautiful. I may be pretty but not beautiful.” Kagome looked away from him.

“If you don't think so, look for yourself.” Sesshoumaru said with a small smirk on his face. He pointed at the lake that was a few yards away. Kagome got up feeling kind of lighter than before. Her wings closed on her back she didn't really notice them. Sesshoumaru followed her as she went to go look at her reflection. When Kagome got to the lake she took a deep breath to see black hair and a plain small face but what she saw took her into shock.

She had long white hair, white wings on her back, blue eyes staring right back at her, womanly curves, bigger breast, pale beautiful skin, and a small symbol that looked like wings on her forehead. Kagome concentrated on her wings and moved them to spread wider, noticing the blue tips. “How did this happen?”

“Your body wasn't in good shape and needed to heal. Remember my question this morning?” Sesshoumaru said firmly.

“What question?” Kagome looked confused.

“Do you know who or what you are?” Sesshoumaru asked blankly.

“I remember answering no.” Kagome nodded her head.

“Well you are a miko. Any powerful miko would transform into almost an angel. You have transformed only because your body needed to heal. If you were to die your body will automatically heal itself and you will be back in the living realm. You age like a demon but an angel. They live longer than demons but since your body was so stressed you will die around the time I die.” He stated quickly.

Kagome narrowed her eyes and asked, “What stress was I in?”

“I had to make some way for you to transform so I destroyed your body brutally and that is why your clothes are barely covering yourself.” He said with another small smirk.

Kagome looked down at herself and saw only certain parts of her body covered. She looked back up at him and growled, her blue nails extended a bit, and her powerful wings flapping. “Sesshoumaru!”

Sesshoumaru smirk turned into a smile which stopped Kagome's anger automatically. Forgetting all about her anger.

“You smiled!” Kagome's eyes lit up and a cheerful smile came upon her face. “Smile more often. It's rare to see the great Lord Sesshoumaru to smile.”

Sesshoumaru had amusement inside his eyes and his smile turned into a small smirk again. Turning around he started walking towards her brown sack. Kagome ran after him with a small smile on her face. “Hey, Sesshoumaru can you go get some meat from the castle? These berries aren't going to last long.” she said picking up the ones she saw before going to the lake that was laid beside her.

Kagome then put the whole handful into her mouth. She looked over to the stream where she was standing that morning and looked back at her wings. `Maybe I could control these things.' Looking at Sesshoumaru seeing if he was looking back she flapped her wings hard. She lifted off the ground slowly and uneasy but she didn't stop flapping. She started to sweat a little bit but then she became higher. Then with one strong push she was higher and a ten feet above Sesshoumaru. Practicing she flied over to the stream to get a drink of water. “Sesshoumaru, you won't be able to catch me now.” She said flying fast causing a strong wind to make the grass stay in one certain way not going back to its original straightness.

Sesshoumaru looked up to see Kagome flying above his head. Making a small smile he jumped up and grabbed Kagome around her waist after her comment. “That's not fair!” she shouted like a little kid.

“You taunting me aren't fair.” Sesshoumaru said.

Letting go of Kagome he was about to tell her time to go to sleep but unfortunately Kagome tripped and made him fall on the ground. Kagome had a small blush on her face and a small smile. `He's so sexy.'

About to get up Sesshoumaru pulled her down and kissed her. Her lips soft and tender on his. When he pulled away Kagome had a shocked look on her face. “Kagome I believe it's time we go to bed.”

Kagome nodded and was about to lift herself off again but Sesshoumaru pulled her down into a hug. Kagome hugged him back and was soon falling asleep into his arms.
