There was anguish in the air. It had become tangible, smothering him like a heavy blanket. His nose wrinkled in disgust. It even left a bad taste in his mouth. However, he couldn't pinpoint the actual location. He knew who was emitting such a feeling.
It was impossible for him to not know. His half-brother's scent permeated the place.
Perhaps that was why he had a hard time locating the hanyou. The fact that Inuyasha's scent was all over the place, that taste of anguish mingled within it.
He doubted that Inuyasha knew of distress that he radiated. Sesshomaru knew. He knew very well and he knew that there was only one thing left for him to do.
He'd end that pain once and for all.
Tonight.
