CHAPTER 5!!!
Back at the castle after Sesshomaru returned. Rin is informed of her lords return and rushed into the diningroom........
When she stepped into the dining room she saw her lord sitting there with a bowl of water and washcloth, cleaning himself.
Blood covered his hands and his mouth.
His clothes were made of the finest material, resistant to any stains and the blood rolled off of them.
“My Lord!” Rin gasped, concern evident in her tone.
“It’s not my blood.”
“What happened? Are you alright?”
“I’m fine. Now let me be.” He wasn’t in the mood right now.
The blood on him mixed with her scent of wildflowers, was starting to make him sick.
“Not until I know that you’re okay,” she said, approaching him.
She took the washcloth and water from him and began cleaning the blood off of him, looking for cuts or gashes.
“I’m fine. Rin, stop!” Having her this close was intoxicating.
Every time she ran the cool cloth across his skin was torture.
She did as she was told and removed her hands, putting the cloth back in the water.
“I’m sorry, m’lord,” she said as she rose from his side.
He made no move to stop her so she stood out of the way.
After cleaning up the rest of the blood that Rin hadn’t been able to, Sesshoumaru went to his room to think.
He had slowed his heartbeat so that a blush wouldn’t rise to his cheeks as she cleaned him.
He wouldn’t have had to trouble himself with that if she had just listened.
He had only been coming from hunting.
Had he not told her that the blood was not his?
Then he had told her to stop.
It wasn’t as if he had yelled at her, but his tone was so unfamiliar that she was taken aback.
Perhaps he shouldn’t have been so harsh.
She had only wanted to help.
He sighed.
She truly was unlike any other human he had ever encountered.
Her heart had never carried the feelings of contempt or hatred.
She demonstrated that constantly when she was here.
Despite the way his servants treated her, she was always friendly in turn.
He often wondered why he had allowed her to follow him.
Of course, she was indebted to him with her life, but there was more to it than that.
He also thought of how strong and brave she was to continue.
Now, for a human being, she had great mental and physical strength, and good discipline and concentration help her to achieve that.
And since that time of Rin's accomplishment with physical training, it only made Sesshoumaru crave the human girl.
She was not by nature a violent person, she kept the peace and fell into fighting when it deemed necessary.
Her sweet innocence was what gave her beauty, and not just physically was that so...
He sighed, walked over to her and took her hands “Rin,” Sesshomaru untanlges his hands from hers and wiped away a few tears.
“Do not shed tears. Your pain is what causes me torment. Seeing you so unhappy hurts something inside of me. Rin. You have made this great demon lord feel things he hasn’t felt in centuries. I have never felt such…passion towards anything. And here you stand, a human girl, and you have my mind spinning with emotion.”
Rin looked into his eyes and moved forward.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and he wrapped his around her waist.
She cried tears of pain, happiness, and relief.
Everything was finally coming together! “I love you Sesshomaru-sama. I love you so much.”
Sesshomaru pushed Rin a breath away so he could look at her face.
“You have my love Rin. You will always be my love.”
And that was the truth.
Every word spoken was true.
There was no misunderstanding between these two.
Only pure love.
Rin gave a small smile and leaned forward to kiss him.
Does it please you, Sesshoumaru-sama?” she asked apprehensively.
“Yes.” That smile. The smile was his undoing.
“This is too good to be true.” She whispered.
Sesshomaru smiles, “It’s all true…everything.” He says quietly and touches the tip of her hair.
“Lord Sesshomaru?”
There was a knock on the door.
Rin and Sesshomaru quickly pulled away as a demon woman opened the door.
She had long white hair and gold eyes like Sesshomaru, and a single stripe on her checks.
“So you have returned my love!”
Rin blinked and Sesshomaru held his head in his hands and growled lowly as the woman came in and knelt next to him and rested a hand on his shoulder.
“Who’s this? A new slave?”
Rin looks annoyed now, “NO!” she snapped.
Sesshomaru glared at the woman,
“Rin, this is Banyi, the younger sister of my captain of the guard Banai. Banyi, this is Rin.”
Banyi wrinkledher nose at Rin, “Why are you bringing humans home? Is she a prostitute? You know you have me, you don’t need to bed with humans.”
Rin’s eye twitched as she tried to hold in her rage and jealousy as Banyi snuggled up to Sesshomaru and Sesshomaru straightened his back and looked at her as if a rat has tried to be a lap dog.
“I’m not a prostitute!” Rin snapped.
Banyi looks at her, “Oh? Then are you a geisha of some kind?"
Rin felt the anger bubbling deep inside her.
Sesshomaru pushed Banyi away, “How did you get in here any way!?!.”
“Rin is not my slave.” Sesshomaru growled.
“Really? A friend that’s human? You’re kidding me darling!” she laughed.
“Rin isn’t a friend.” Sesshomaru growled as he took Rin’s hand,pulled her over close and held her close as Rin looked surprised, “She is my bride.”
Banyi’s eyes widened as she looked at Sesshomaru and Rin with an open mouth.
When she finally came to her senses, she looked furious, “A human! You are going to mate a human! You vowed not to even touch a human after what your father did!” Banyi shouted.
“I never vowed, and Rin is no normal human to me!” Sesshomaru growled.
“You were to wed me! I will tell Banai about this! He will be furious!”
“Banai will do nothing to stop me.” He growled.
“You little wench! You took my Sesshomaru away! You witch! That’s what you are! You cast some spell on him!”
Rin glared at her as Banyi yelled insults at her. “Whore! That’s what you are! I will not stand for this!”
Rin’s eyes widened then narrowed. “You won’t stand for this!?”
She stood and stalked over to were Banyi stood.
She was the same height, she raised her fist and punched her in the nose.
Banyi stumbled back ward, covering her nose with her hand.
She pulled it away slowly sawthe blood covering her palm.
She glared and growled at Rin.
She began to attack with her claws when Sesshomaru grabbed her wrist and twisted it behind her.“That’s enough! I never promised to marry a spoiled wench like you! If you EVER threaten my bride, or anyone of importance to me, I’ll put you, your brother, everyone in your family on the streets! Stripped of their titles, land, servants, everything down to a PIN!”
He pushed Banyi out the door and called for the two guards to get her out of there.
Rin stood with her chest heaving with rage.
Sesshomaru glared down the hall until Banyi was out of sight then turned to Rin, “Are you alright?” he asked
“Fine, what was all that about anyway? You never told me you had a girlfriend.”she replied.
“She was never anyone I would have mated with, nor a lover of any kind!!!” Sesshomaru took her hand and kissed her knuckles, “She is just used to get whatever she wants, when she wants. She has been that way since her mother died in birth.”
Rin sighed and smiled at him, “I can’t really blame her for falling for you.”
Sesshomaru smirked “My looks have always gotten me into trouble.”
Rin laughed “Lord Sesshomaru, I’ve never seen this side of you before.” she said with a smile.
Sesshomaru smilef back, “I never knew that you could throw such a clean punch.”
He kissef her brow, then, unsatisfied with that, her lips. “Our wedding will be held tomorrow.”
Rin looked at him, “So soon?”
“If I don’t announce you as my mate soon, I will lose my territory.” He said.
Rin nodded, “Is that what you want?”
Sesshomaru smilef, “Come, it’s late, lets go to bed.”
Rin blushef, “We are going to…”
“Only sleep, nothing more.” He saif to reassure her.
Rin nodded as he led her down the halls to a large room with a bed made for two.
It haf pearl white sheets and a feather mattress and pillows.
On the walls were paintings of mountains and lake scenes at night.
Sesshomaru took Rin to the bed and she sat down as he called a maid in.
She came with a night dress for her.
She bowed and left in a hurry.
Sesshomaru smiled and told her to undress so she could put on the robe.
Rin blushed, but since she was going to marry him any way, she did as he asked as he removed his armor and kimono top.
He only had on his pants as Rin closed the robe.
Sesshomaru smiled as he hung the two swords on the wall and then went over to the other side of the bed.
Rin slipped under the covers as Sesshomaru got into bed after blowing out the only candle that lit the room.
He was facing Rin who smiled as he touched her hair. “Good night my Lord.” She said with a smile she was sure he could see.
Sesshomaru planted a soft kiss on her brow before pulling himself closer to her and resting his hand on top of hers that was only inches from his face, sighing as he closed his eyes and began to sleep soundly.
