InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Ripples ❯ Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' ( Prologue )
Characters:
Kagome-She is an 18 year old modern day girl about to start college. She is one of Japan's top female boxers, has a black belt in Wado Ryu (karate style that means power through peace). She has mastered the fan, staff, sword, ninja stars, bow, knife throwing, and gymnastics. Basically, she's a tough cookie who can take care of herself. When she's in her ninja mode, she's known as Lynx.
Shippou-Kagome's 7 year old adopted son. She saved him from a gang lead by Hiten and Manten. He's an orphaned kitsune that can be his normal size or shrink to Myoga's size. He usually is with Kagome, sitting on her shoulder.
Inuyasha-Pinned to a tree 50 years ago by Naraku. The arrow that seals him has a jewel shard in it and is what keeps him there. His father gave him the Tetsusaiga before he died and the sword is what protects Inu while he is sealed. It won't let anyone but Kagome near him when he's sealed. Modern day, he runs an orphanage and is a successful doctor.
Miroku-He is cursed by Naraku, like his father and grandfather before him, with a wind tunnel in his hand. He is a lecherous monk seeking to destroy Naraku before the wind tunnel sucks him in.
Sango-Her brother Kohaku killed her family under Naraku's spell. Naraku still controls Kohaku with a jewel shard in his back. Sango is a demon exterminator wielding a giant boomerang. She also seeks to kill Naraku.
Kikyou-She was a priestess and Guardian of the Shikon no Tama. 50 years ago, Naraku killed her. She was Inuyasha's cousin on his mother's side. She's dead and is staying dead. The Shikon no Tama was burned and buried with her body.
Naraku-Bad, bad dude. His past with the Shikon no Tama is shrouded in mystery. No one knows how he sees the shards or what his history is.
Sesshoumaru-Great Demon Lord of the Western Lands. He doesn't care one whit about the Shikon Jewel and pretty much stays out of the fight. Naraku once kidnapped his god daughter, Rin so Sesshy owes Naraku a slow and painful death. He's Inuyasha's older, full blooded youkai brother. He doesn't hate Inuyasha; he kinda doesn't care one way or the other.
Rin-The daughter of Sesshoumaru's cousin on his mother's side. She is an inu youkai, but sooo kawaii. When her parents were killed, Sesshy took her in and is raising her. She's about 6 years old.
Prologue: Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'
"Hey, Kagome! Before you go to the dojo, could you check out the well house? I thought I heard something in there." Sota, Kagome's little brother, asked her as she stepped outside.
She sighed and walked over to him. Sota looked at his sister in awe. No matter how many times he saw her in her karate outfit, it never ceased to amaze him. She was well toned and looked like an assassin in her form fitting black uniform. Her hair was pulled back into a pony tail and she had knee high black leather boots on. Looking at her, one would think she was unarmed, but Sota knew better, he knew that her outfit concealed knives, ninja stars, a fan, and he was sure lots of other deadly sharp things. She had on a black over coat that he knew hid a long samurai sword. His sister was so cool.
Kagome walked over to him and ruffled his hair. "What's the matter, Sota? Afraid the monsters Grandfather's always rambling about will jump out and get you? Or are you scared you'll fall down the well and end up in feudal Japan?"
Sota laughed nervously. "N-no, I just don't want to run into any giant hairy spiders. I'm sure they think the well house makes a good home."
Kagome laughed and opened the door, walking into the dim room. There was a noise coming from the well, so she walked down to it and peered over the edge. Buyo, her cat, jumped up and sat on the rim. She laughed and petted him before turning back to Sota.
"It's all right, Sota. It was just Buyo looking for mice."
Sota peeked in and smiled at the cat, but his smile disappeared when suddenly, Kagome was jerked back into the well and vanished in a bright blue light.
"Kagome!" He shouted as he ran over to the well. She was gone. "Oh, geez, Grandpa was right." He said as he turned and ran to find the old man. Maybe Grandpa knew how to get his sister back. If he didn't, there was only one man who could.
