Chapter 15

A Place To Hide

Miroku and Sango watched as Inuyasha sat in his chair. He hadn't done anything in the last three days. That was how long Kagome had been gone. She hadn't even gone to school.

Inuyasha was miserable without Kagome. He hadn't slept or eaten since Kagome had been taken. He did nothing. He wouldn't even respond to Sango or Miroku. Not even Sesshomaru could get a response out of him.

Kagome wasn't any better. She had been locked in the room. She wasn't allowed out for anything. Naraku would go to her room and talk to her about nothing. Kagome acted like she listened. She figured if she got on his good side he'd let her at least roam around the house.

Kagome felt Naraku coming. She could feel his presence. She would get a weird feeling. The hair on the back of her neck would stand or she would get a chill down her spine. "Kagome how are you today?" Naraku asked once he entered the room.

"Fine." She said. "I'm not going to be if you keep me locked up in here. I need sunlight."

"Maybe I'll take you out today then. Would that help a little?" He asked her.

"I guess it will work for now." Kagome said.

"Let's go take a walk then. I don't have any work right now." He said. He led her outside. They walked down the street.

"What do you do?" Kagome asked. `Might as well get some answers since I'm stuck here.'

"You don't need to know that?" He said.

As they walked down the street more she started recognizing the area. They were near the park. She would be able to find her way now that she knew where she was being kept. Naraku stopped. He grabbed her wrist and tugged her back toward him.

He leaned down toward her face. He kissed her lightly before tilting her head back and forcing his tongue in her mouth. Kagome closed her eyes tight. She was trying not to cry. He yelled at her the last time she cried. Who knew what he'd do if she cried again.

He pulled back for air. "It seems your warming up to me." He smirked.

Kagome didn't say anything. She looked at the ground. "Can we walk a little more? I miss being able to walk around." She said quietly.

"Not today. I'll let you walk around the house but no more walking today." He said. "Maybe later if you're good." He held her hand and they walked back toward the house.

He was treating her like a dog. She wanted to hit him. She didn't. He would definitely hit her back. She was aloud to walk around the house. It was a start.

Naraku's cell phone went off. He stopped to answer it. "Hello."

"What do you mean?" He yelled.

"…"

"I left thinking you could take care of it."

"…"

"I'll be right there. I want the car to be there in two minutes." He hung up his cell phone. "I'm sorry I can't talk more. Seems that some clients of mine are being difficult. You may walk around the house but not outside."

As soon as they got to the house he led her into the living room and left. Kagome watched as he drove away. She looked around. No one was there. She couldn't sense anyone nearby.

She quietly walked over to the front door. She opened it and crept outside. As soon as she was out of earshot of the house she sprinted towards Inuyasha's house. He was the only one who's address she knew.

About ten minutes of running she made it to his front door. She rang the doorbell and tried desperately to catch her breath. She felt like her lungs were going to explode. Sesshomaru answered the door.

He was a little surprised to see her at his front door trying to catch her breath. He let her in and gave her some water. "How did you get away?" Sesshomaru asked.

"Naraku left and I ran." Kagome said.

"It's a good thing too. Inuyasha hasn't slept or eaten in days. He won't even move." Sesshomaru said. "He's upstairs in his room."

"Arigato." Kagome said. She made her way to his room. She slowly opened the door. She looked around.

He was leaning against his wall with his hair covering his face. His ears drooped. "Inuyasha." She whispered.

His head jerked in the direction of her voice. It couldn't be Kagome. It had to be an illusion or something. But he could smell her, hear her heart beating, and he could see her standing in his door way. "Kagome."

Without even realizing she was shoved against the door and being kissed. She kissed him back. She missed him so much. By his kiss he missed her a lot too. The kiss eventually stopped when they both needed air.

Inuyasha didn't let go of her. He clung to her. "I missed you so much." He whispered.

"I missed you too."

"How did you get away? Did he hurt you?" Inuyasha asked.

"No, I'm fine. I ran after Naraku left for something." Kagome said. "I heard you haven't been eating or sleeping. You look terrible."

"I couldn't eat or sleep knowing you were with him." Inuyasha said. He carried her over to his bed and sat down with her in his lap. "Gods I missed you."

There was a knock on the door. Sesshomaru opened it and handed them a tray of food. "Now that she's back you can eat. You need to eat too Kagome. I can tell just by looking at you that you haven't eaten much." He left.

They both ate the food. Inuyasha never let go of her. He needed to touch her in some way. Now they needed to do something. Naraku would find out that Kagome left and come after her.

He didn't want to worry about it then. Kagome was back and all he wanted to do was hold her. He didn't want to think of the bad things. Even if it was for a moment he wanted to pretend that everything was ok now that Kagome was back.

Kagome stayed quiet. What was she going to do? Naraku might hurt Inuyasha because she ran to him. Inuyasha could tell she was worried. He knew she was worried. "I'm going to call Miroku and Sango." He said.

"What for?" Kagome asked.

"To see if they know of anyplace we could go. We need to hide from Naraku until we figure something out." He picked up his phone and dialed Miroku's number.

He talked on the phone for a couple of minutes. "Miroku's going to call Sango and come over here." He said.

"But I don't want anyone to get involved." Kagome said. "I don't want anyone getting hurt because of me."

"We want to help Kagome. You can't do this on your own." Inuyasha said. He kissed her neck. Kagome gasped. She almost forgot how good it felt to have Inuyasha touch her. Inuyasha took her gasp as a sign and licked her collarbone.

Kagome had her head tilted back. Her mouth was open slightly. Inuyasha leaned over her and kissed her. He slipped his tongue into her mouth. He leaned her back down onto the bed.

"My, my Inuyasha. You don't waste a second do you?" Miroku said from behind the couple on the bed.

Inuyasha jumped off Kagome. "Miroku." He said angrily.

"Sesshomaru told me to come up here." Miroku said. Seeing as how Inuyasha was still mad. "Sango's here." He said quickly and ran out of the room. Inuyasha let out a growl and chased him.

"They're so immature." Sango said from the doorway. She looked around nothing had changed since she was last there. "I'm glad your back Kagome." She hugged her.

"I'm glad I'm back too." Kagome said.

"It's too bad it took you so long to get away. Inuyasha was a wreck without you."

"I know Sesshomaru told me. When I got here he was leaning against the wall with his head down."

"He was sitting there since he got home. He wouldn't talk to us or anything. He never got up." Sango said.

"Should we go get them or wait for Inuyasha to kill Miroku?" Kagome asked.

"We should go get them. I still like the hentai." Sango blushed.

They both walked downstairs. They were surprised to see Sesshomaru sitting at the kitchen table with Inuyasha and Miroku on either side of him with bumps on their heads. "What happened?" Sango asked.

"I don't know they suddenly fell to the ground in pain." Sesshomaru said.

"You're full of shit Sesshomaru." Inuyasha got up from his position on the ground. "You hit both of us on the head."

"You did?" Kagome asked. Sesshomaru nodded. "What for?"

"They were running around like little kids. So I stopped them." He said.

"That's not fair Sesshomaru. You're a million times faster than the both of us you cheater." Miroku said as he slowly got up.

"Since we're down here. Have you found any information on Naraku?" Inuyasha asked.

"I did but it's not really anything we don't already know. He travels a lot and talks to many powerful youkai. That's all we have so far. My people are still looking. I know some youkai who owe me some favors." Sesshomaru said.

"How do you know all these youkai?" Kagome asked.

"I helped them fight a war a long time ago." Sesshomaru said. "They haven't had the chance to pay their debt to me."

"We need to find a place to hide out for a while." Inuyasha said. "Anyone have any ideas?"

Sesshomaru got up and hit Inuyasha on the head knocking him on the ground. "What the fuck did you do that for?" Inuyasha yelled.

"I own numerous hotels and you ask for a place to go." He said. "You can stay in one of the hotels. I'll have the workers keep an eye out for Naraku. I'll give them some pictures of him."

Kagome jumped for joy. Sesshomaru was going to help her. She ran over to him and hugged him. "Arigato." Sesshomaru lightly hugged her back. She was the first person that ever hugged him. He felt obligated to help his now little sister in law.

Everyone gasped. "What's wrong?" Kagome asked as she let him go.

"Sesshomaru hugged you." Inuyasha said.

"So what?" She said.

"He's never done that." Inuyasha said. Realization hit him. "Oi, why don't I get a hug or something? It was my idea to go hide out." He said jealously.

Kagome giggled and hugged him too. She held him a little longer. "So when do we leave?" She asked.

"I'll drive you over once Inuyasha gets some stuff together. I assume you came with nothing." Sesshomaru said.

"I didn't have time to grab anything. Besides it wasn't my stuff." Kagome said.

"Are you coming too?" Sesshomaru asked Miroku and Sango.

"I guess I could ask my mom if I could go for a while." Sango said.

"My grandparents won't mind." Miroku said.

"Go home get your stuff and come back here." Sesshomaru said.

Inuyasha dragged Kagome to his room so he could pack. She sat on his bed and watched him throw various things into his bag. "I never called Shippo to tell him I was ok." Kagome said. Inuyasha threw the phone at her.

She called Shippo and explained what happened. She also told them what she was going to do. He said he'd call her family and tell them she was ok. He also told her that they planned on going on a `vacation'. They were really leaving town for a while.

"Let's go." Inuyasha said.
