Chapter 14

Caught

Kagome looked up but couldn't do anything. Her body was numb. She could see her friends out of the corner of her eye. They were all on the ground, except Inuyasha he was on his hands and knees.

"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you." Naraku picked Kagome up. "You've mated with the half breed." He saw the mark on her neck.

"You forget Naraku you're a half breed too." Kagome said.

"I suggest you keep quiet. You're in enough trouble to begin with." Naraku glared at her.

"Get your hands off of her." Inuyasha said. He slowly stood up.

"You're in no position to tell me what to do." Naraku said. "Say goodbye to Kagome." He walked away with Kagome in his arms. The miasma disappeared.

Inuyasha dropped to his hands and knees. He was able to move his body more. He ran out of the room and smelled for them. No trace of them at all. "Dammit."

"Do you know where they went?" Miroku asked. He walked next Inuyasha.

"Don't you think if I did I'd be chasing after her?" Inuyasha said.

"What do we do now? We can't let Naraku take Kagome like that." Sango said. She stood up and checked on Shippo.

"I'm going home." Inuyasha said.

"What are you going to do?" Miroku asked.

"I'm going to talk to Sesshomaru. Make sure Shippo is ok." He ran down the hallway.

Kagome was sitting in a room. She looked around. She assumed it was Naraku's house. She'd never seen his house. There were valuable things everywhere. The door opened and Naraku walked through it.

"I hope the miasma didn't hurt you." Naraku said.

Kagome turned around facing away from him. "Where am I?" She asked.

"You are in my house." Naraku said. "I thought you would have realized that by now. I can't have you go to your apartment again with your friends knowing where it is."

"What do you mean I can't go back?" Kagome yelled.

"You are not to leave this house. You mated with Inuyasha and that is unacceptable." Naraku walked closer to her. "You will not leave until I find a way how to remove the mark."

Kagome put a hand over the mark. "No." She said.

"I will find a way. Everything you need is in this room. Now take a bath and change. You smell of him and I don't like it." Naraku said. He showed her the bathroom. "I'll have some food sent up here later."

Kagome watched as he left the room. She burst into tears. She was separated from Inuyasha and Naraku was trying to get rid of the mark that proved she was Inuyasha's mate.

What was she going to do now? She couldn't run away. She had no idea where she was. Maybe she could contact one of her friends somehow. What would happen to them? Would Naraku do something to them? That just made her cry again.

Inuyasha ran all the way home. He almost broke the front door down. "Sesshomaru." He yelled.

Sesshomaru walked into the room. "There is no need to shout."

"I need your help. Kagome was taken." Inuyasha said.

Sesshomaru sniffed the air. "Ah you've mated the miko. Why don't you tell me what happened so I know how to help." They both sat down and Inuyasha told him about Kagome's past and everything that happened since she moved.

"Do you know anything about him?" Inuyasha asked.

"The name sounds familiar but I've met so many people. I'll have some people find information on him." Sesshomaru said. "Until then you must be patient."

"Thank you." Inuyasha said and walked to his room. He was mad, mostly at himself. He promised he would protect her. They had just mated. He was so happy then the world turned upside down and he was depressed.

He had to get her back. He didn't know what he would do without her. He didn't think he could live without her. `I should talk to Shippo. He knows a lot about Kagome and her situation.' He thought. Then he remembered he didn't know how to contact them. `Maybe Kagome has his number written down somewhere.' He got up and ran to Kagome's apartment.

He walked into her apartment. Sango and Miroku were still there. "Where's Shippo?" Inuyasha asked.

"He had to go home. He needed to contact Kagome's mom and tell her what happened." Sango said. "What are you doing back here?"

"I thought you were going to talk to Sesshomaru." Miroku said.

"I did. He's going to try and find information on Naraku. I came back to talk to Shippo. He might know some stuff about that bastard." Inuyasha said.

"We don't know how to contact him." Miroku said.

"I know that's why I was going to look for her phone book or something." Inuyasha said.

"We'll help." Sango said.

They looked around Kagome's apartment for an hour. They didn't find a thing. No paper with numbers written on it. No address book, nothing. "I thought everyone had an address book." Sango said.

"So did I. Isn't it something you girls have to have?" Inuyasha asked. Sango threw a pillow at him. "Guess not."

They heard crash. The front door had been knocked over. The door had been ripped off its hinges so they propped it against the doorway. Shippo looked at the door. "Oops." He said. "What are you guys still doing here?"

"We were looking for your phone number or a way to contact you." Inuyasha said.

"What for?" Shippo said.

"You've known Kagome longer than any of us have. I want to know everything you do. Maybe it will help me find her." Inuyasha said.

"We should get out of here then. Naraku might send some people over here to get stuff or blow it up or something." Shippo said.

"Let's go to the diner." Sango said. Everyone nodded.

"What do you mean blow up?" Inuyasha asked as they all walked out the door.

"Naraku is pretty unpredictable. He might have something done with the apartment. I doubt he'll let Kagome go back." Shippo said.

They all walked to the diner quickly. Shippo told them what her knew and what he talked to her mom with. Her mom was worried and said that there were some of Naraku's guys were around the house. They showed up periodically. No one knew why.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kagome had taken a bath and changed. She only did it because Naraku threatened to bather her himself. After that she ran into the bathroom. The thought of him doing that sickened her.
She was eating some of the food that was brought to her. She sat at a table that was on the side of the room. She was wearing a white dress. He would want her to wear white. It made her seem more innocent.
She thought of ways to get out of the room. No one locked the door or anything when they left. Maybe she could sneak out. She didn't know how many people were in the house. All she knew was that she was on the second floor. She could tell by looking out of the window.
The window didn't open so she couldn't get out that way. She couldn't tell where she was by looking outside. She could try to talk Naraku into letting her out of the room or something. Fat chance.
Kagome got up and walked to the door. She opened it and took a look around. There was no one around. The hallway was huge. She quietly walked out of the room and down the hall. She found some stairs and walked down them.
If this weren't the house of the enemy she would've thought it was beautiful. It was an old Victorian style house. Someone must have made it this way because the style was old and it wasn't even Japanese.
Kagome made it to the bottom of the steps. She looked around and saw no one. She was just about to look out of the window when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She slowly turned around.
"I told you, you are not to leave that room." Naraku said. He grabbed her arm and dragged her back to the room. "To think I was going to let you walk around the house."
"You can't keep me locked up in this room." Kagome said.
"Be good and maybe I'll let you out." He said. "You are only to leave if you are with me."
"I'm not going anywhere with you." Kagome said.
"Ah but you will Kagome." Naraku left the room.
