~A/N: Hey everyone, this is story number two for me, and this is going to be an odd one so I will love all of you guys who stick with this one, because I know this is going to be a different experience for all of you. The pairings in this will be only one couple, and it is something I have never seen in any Inuyasha fanfic before. The only pairing in this fic will be between Sango and Kagome.yes, you read that right, Sango and Kagome. The idea for this fic occurred to me when I was reading someone else's fic in which a drunken Sango kissed Kagome full on the lips, and this idea leapt into my mind. This will start off at the end of episode 30 of the anime: 'Tetsusaiga is Stolen!'. From this point on, I am changing the direction the story is going so that this is genuinely unique. Now I know this is a MUCH different thing than anyone will have ever seen before, although I'm sure you guys will thoroughly enjoy it. I will be working on this a bit less frequently than I will on my other fic, but I will update this as long as I can until I finish it. Which, to be honest, I have no idea how long this fic will be, but I know this ain't no one-shot, so be prepared for follow ups after this one. I know this will be a bit fluffy in later chapters, but I haven't decided yet on the lemony part yet, but I will soon and I'll let you know. R&R and enjoy!

Prologue: What Is This?

Naraku's castle had completely vanished, along with Naraku and Kohaku. She had been so close! Kohaku was about to shake Naraku's control completely, he only needed a little bit longer to free himself. But the coward Naraku had fled, taking his castle and Kohaku with him. Now she was alone again.

<* Sango's thoughts>*

<*Ok...well that's not entirely true. I still have Kirara with me. And these people have been so kind towards me since I first showed up and tried to kill Inuyasha.because of Naraku's deception. Even Kagome-chan has been so nice, even though I tried to end Inuyasha's life, and she seems to care about him so much>* Sango thought as her tears fell.

Sango currently was crying into Kagome's chest, the pain from the loss of her brother again to Naraku biting into her. She was glad that Kagome was holding and comforting her while she cried. Kagome and Sango were the only girls in the small group, although Sango was glad she wasn't the only girl, only if Kagome was the only other.

Kagome had shown Sango so much kindness and warmth since they had met up, tending to her injuries and making sure she was comfortable. Sango was not used to the attention she was giving, but she was not complaining. The only other people that had ever shown her such warmth was her family.

Thinking of her family reminded her of what happened to them. The thought made her start to cry harder. She buried her face in Kagome's chest, gripping her shirt more tightly, not noticing that her fingers wrapped around Kagome's breasts, and her face was digging into Kagome's cleavage through her shirt.

Kagome was unsure of how to react. She had known Sango was in extreme grief at the loss of her brother once again, and while she was crying only clung to Kagome, venting her sadness through her tears.

~*Kagome's thoughts*~

~*I guess she must have tripped on a memory of her family, and that's why she started to cry again. I can understand why she's so sad, but I don't know why she has to grip my breasts like that, or why she's digging her face so far into my chest. It's embarrassing...*~ Kagome's thoughts trailed off, and she blushed lightly. She was glad that Miroku and Inuyasha had left to find somewhere to stay for a while, and had taken Shippou with them. She continued to stroke Sango's head lightly while the older girl cried. After another ten minutes, Kagome tried to talk to the slayer so she would calm down. They still needed to tend to the injuries her mind-controlled brother and Naraku inflicted upon her.

"San...Sango-chan...are you feeling better now?" Kagome studdered out once Sango's cries began to fade, and her shaking had stopped. Kagome was glad that Sango had finally ceased shaking. Sango was pressed up so tightly against Kagome's breasts that she was starting to get aroused at the sensation, and she needed that to stop even if she didn't want it to.

~*Great, I'm starting to become hentai like Miroku-sama is. Next thing you know, the two of us will have tag-team groping sessions against the nearest individual...Sango-chan...*~ Kagome thought dryly, wondering why she was having these thoughts.

A muffled voice called up to her from her chest. "Arigato...*sniff* Kagome-chan..." she heard Sango say. Kagome continued to stroke her head, hoping she was helping make Sango feel better.

Sango was really glad that she had Kagome there to help her. <*It's nice of her to let me cry on her shoulder...err, I mean her breasts...ACK! I mean her chest...gods, where did that come from?*>

Sango at last realized why the place she had buried her face was so soft. She had finally noticed that she had dug her head as deep as she could into Kagome's chest, and was gripping her breasts slightly. Sango blushed and reluctantly pulled herself up off of Kagome's chest and rested her hands on her knees as she kneeled next to Kagome.

"Gomen, Kagome-chan." Sango apologized, blushing.

"For what, Sango-chan?" Kagome asked, feeling that she already knew what Sango was apologizing for.

"F-f-for...grabbing you, and, and pressing my face so hard into your ch-chest. I di-di-didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." Sango slowly stammered a few times, tripping over her words.

"That's ok, Sango-chan. You needed someone to comfort you, and I did so. I don't think it matters that much. You were crying to much to know where you were going, you only grabbed out of instincts. Its perfectly fine." Kagome answered her, hoping that what she said didn't sound wrong in any way.

"Arigato, Kagome-chan."

"Now, let's go see if we can find Inuyasha, Shippou-chan, and Miroku-sama. They went to go find a place for us to stay the night, and that would also be a good place to tend to your wounds. Now that I think of it, how are we going to find them?" Kagome wondered aloud. If Inuyasha and Miroku had both left, and since Kirara was poisoned there was no way that they could ride her out to find them.

She heard Sango exclaim from beside her. "Kirara! You're better! But how?" Kirara walked up to Sango in her youkai form, and nuzzled against her.

"I think she wants us to ride on her. But how did she get better?" Kagome asked.

"Does it matter? If she's well enough and willing to take us to find Inuyasha and the others, then shouldn't we take this opportunity?" Sango asked weakly, smiling at Kagome.

"Sure. We'll put you on first, then I'll get on behind you, ok?" Sango nodded in response to Kagome's question.

Kagome helped lift Sango up onto Kirara while the fire-neko laid down, making it easier for her injured companion to get on her. Unfortunately, Sango got on backwards, and was facing towards Kirara's tail. Kagome merely shrugged and climbed on Kirara in front of Sango, and wrapped her arms around the injured girl and held onto her tight. She wasn't about to let her wounded friend drop from an airborne fire-neko, so she held her tight.

"Kirara, we can go now. Please try and find Inuyasha or Miroku-sama. And go easy, Sango-chan is still hurt from earlier."

As Kirara leapt lightly into the air, Kagome felt Sango wrap her arms around Kagome, and leaned into her chest, trying to fall asleep. Kagome smiled and held onto her friend, hoping she would be able rest easy that night, and hoped they would find a shelter soon.

Sango doesn't know it yet, but she's attracted to Kagome, and Kagome is kind of feeling the same thing towards Sango, even if she doesn't know how to address how she's feeling. Remember to R&R!
