Kagome's eyes widened when she heard InuYasha and herself where going to be in the final round. Sango, Rin, and Ayame all leapt for her and started jumping up and down, hugging her.

"Oh my gosh Kagome," Rin began ecstatically, "I am so happy for you." She hugged her once more, a little tighter than the last couple of times.

"Yeah," Ayame said shaking her head up and down, "there really wasn't any doubt in my head that you would make it to the final round."

"Aw, Kagome," Sango said, a smile covering her visage. "I am super happy for you, we should all…." her statement cut off as she looked over her friend. "Kagome what's wrong," she asked worried at how the normally happy girl was looking like she was about to faint.

The other girls immediately stopped the happy group hug and looked at the recipient to see what was wrong.

Kagome looked over into her friends eyes, feeling the shakes come on, she quickly swallowed, "Sango… I can't perform against him."

"What are you talking about Kagome," Sango asked raising an eyebrow. "You will win. There is no doubt about it," she stated trying to make her friend feel better.

"Yeah Kagome," Rin quickly cut in, "you have nothing to worry about."

"You guys just don't get it," Kagome tried again. She shook her head, her hands glided over her face as she tried to scribble out all the worry lines on her face, "I would rather go home then finish this performance."

Open mouths is what Kagome found when she turned to look at her friends. "You mean to tell me that… you don't want to perform," Rin asked, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"Kagome," Sango cut in, "Come with me for a second," she instructed as she grabbed her friends hand and led her down the stairs to the ladies room.

Sango pushed her way through the white door. Passing the ceramic statue of Athena, she turned a corner and stood straight in front of the lightly glowing mirrors.

Releasing the hold she had on her hand, Sango crossed her arms over her chest as she looked to Kagome. "Spill it," she commanded as she looked into her friends eyes.

Kagome took in a deep breath. Savoring the release as the pent up air left her lungs. She turned her gaze towards the floor, "I really don't know what to tell you," she replied after a few moments passed.

"Let's start with why you were in the bathroom earlier," Sango guided as her tone became lighter. Sympathy oozing from her pores as she looked at her friend. Standing in a bathroom, acting like the whole world was against her, she began to feel a little remorseful about forcing her to talk. She came to stand next to her friend, pulling her arm around her shoulder, "Come on Kagome, and leave some of the burden on me. Isn't that what friends are for?"

Smiling a little at her friend, Kagome turned to look towards Sango, "I just really don't know where to start. I feel like one minute, he is the most arrogant man in the world, and then the next… I want nothing more then to kiss him," she submitted as a blush began to paint its way across her cheeks.

"Wait," Sango breathed unbelieving, "You mean to tell me, you almost kissed Takahashi… again?"

Sneaking a peek at her friend, Kagome let out a long sigh, "Yeah."

"Oh my gosh," Sango exclaimed excitedly. "Do you like him?" She was standing directly in front of Kagome now, a huge smile tugging on her pink lips as she looked at her friend.

Blushing more deeply at her friends blunt question, Kagome quickly reverted her eyes, "No." She lied as she once more found the tile in the room completely fascinating.

"Kagome," Sango began dryly, "Come on, don't lie. There would be no other explanation for the reason behind your behavior."

Placing her hand over her face, Kagome let out an airy sigh, "I know, but how can I like him?" She turned her head up to look at her friend. "I just met him. Things like that just don't happen to me," she reasoned as she waited to hear what her friend had to say.

"Well, there's a first time for everything," Sango stated simply, a small grin tugging at her lips.

"But Sango," Kagome began shaking her head, "I am not an exception. I am not the girl who starts to like a guy after hanging out with him for five hours. That's just not me," she finished pointing at herself as she locked eyes with her friend, challenging her to make her believe otherwise.

"Stop lying to yourself," her friend stated after a few moments. "Kagome, do you want me to tell you not to like him? Not to be attracted to him? Because I am not that friend," she asked as she placed her hand over her heart.

"You were always telling me to go after Sakamoto. You always told me to give him a chance, even when I thought that it would be pointless," she replied looking into her eyes.

"You," she finished pointing to Kagome.

Shaking her head, Kagome squinted her eyes, feeling a headache fast approaching, "That's different Sango. You have known him for so long, and when I see how the two of you look at each other…it's just not like that with—"

"No," shaking her head, Sango continued, "It's not different." She leaned back on the marble top sink, looking her friend in the eyes, "Don't allow yourself to be scared, Kagome."

The retort on her tongue was lost as her eyes widened, "Am I that easy to read?" She asked, running her hand along her forehead, falling to the couch as her feet were no longer able to hold her upright.

Smiling gently at her friend, Sango walked over to the couch and plopped down beside her, "Girl, you know you can't tell a lie to save your life," she replied chuckling lightly.

A grin began to overcome her features as her hand gently rested on her forehead, "I know." She leaned over, her head falling on her friends lap. Looking up at her, "Sango, what am I supposed to do?" She asked, sounding tired of all that she had to put up with in the past couple of hours.

Shrugging her shoulders, Sango said the first thing that came to mind, "Tell him."

Lifting her head slightly, Kagome turned around to look her friend straight on, shock evident from her eyes, "Are you crazy?" Lowering her legs so she could sit next to her friend, Kagome continued, "Sango, he would probably think I was psycho," she reasoned laughing.

A thoughtful look passed Sango's features as her friends words sank in, "Well, it's best that you let him know up front."

Kagomes' mouth formed an Oh shape; she smacked her friend lightly across the shoulder, "Sango!"

Laughing, Sango kidded back, "What did I say?"

Rolling her eyes at her friend, Kagome had a nice smile tugging on her lips, "Uh huh." She brought her hand to her mouth as a yawn escaped, "Oh man, I am getting tired."

Stifling a yawn herself, Sango smiled at her, "Me too." She gazed at her phone checking the time, "It's already 2:30."

"Dang," Kagome replied glancing at her own phone. "I wanted it to be later then that. I really don't want to stick around here later then necessary," she replied as she sunk lower into the confines of the couch.

"You and me both," Sango stated getting more comfortable in the couch herself. "Why did you have to say we would perform if the show got done by three anyways?" She asked as a yawn once more escaped her mouth.

Smiling at her friend, Kagome rubbed at the water leaking from her eyes, "Cause I didn't think it would happen," she replied as she shrugged her shoulders.

Chuckling at her friend, Sango turned to face her, "So, what are you going to do about the non-existent Takahashi feelings?"

Kagome let out a long sigh, scratching the side of her head. "You know, I really don't know." She smiled at her friend, "I guess I will just take it one day at a time. Ride out the waves, if you will."

Shaking her head, Sango smiled gently in her friend's direction, "I think that is a good plan. Just… no lying to yourself," she warned as she pointed at her.

Grinning, Kagome answered, "No lying."

The door to the bathroom slowly crept open, "Kagome," they heard someone call out meekly.

"In here Rin," Kagome answered smiling.

The door completely opened and in walked their two friends. "Are you all right," Rin asked making her way to the couch.

"Yeah, Kagome we were worried. What happened to you?" Ayame probed as she was making her way to the couch as well.

Kagome leaned her head back against the couch, letting out a small sigh, "It's a long story, but I'm better now," she replied winking at Sango.

The other girls looked on confused, watching the action taking place, but not really understanding.

Kagome turned towards the other two girls and saw that their faces held confusion, feeling slightly sad that they didn't really understand what happened, Kagome decided to appease them a bit, "I will tell you guys a little later," she promised smiling at them. "I really just don't feel like getting into it right now," she continued. Her eyes looking tired as she silently pleaded with her friends to be happy with her request.

Rin let out a little bundle of air, "Oh, I guess so, but you better not leave us in the dark!" She squinted her eyes at her friend, trying to make a mean face but failing horribly.

Ayame, laughing at her friends attempt to look angry, turned to Kagome also, "What she said," she replied, leaning her head in the direction in which Rin was located.

Kagome smiled thankfully at her friends, "You got it." She got up off the couch and embraced the two standing, "You guys are the best."

Pulling back from the hug, Kagome looked over her friends, "Have we missed anything," she asked, a small grin tugging on her features.

"Not yet," Ayame answered, she turned towards the door. "That announcer came out and said that you guys need to be ready in fifteen minutes. They are just playing club mixes right now," she replied as she took a seat on the couch.

"Yeah," Rin cut in, "but that was about ten minutes ago, so… you have five minutes," she replied smiling as she took a seat beside Ayame.

Stretching Kagome replied, "Kami, can't this night just end!"

"I hear you there," Ayame replied, "I wonder what happened to Koga and Miroku. They have been gone for a long time…"

Sango narrowed her eyes as she thought over what her friend said, "You know, you're right…"

Rubbing at her eyes, Kagome said, "Don't worry about it; they most likely just ended up getting some drinks or something."

"Yeah," Rin replied shaking her head, "Kagome is probably right."

The two other girls had thoughtful looks passing their features, but after a few moments, they too nodded their heads in agreement, "Yeah, you're probably right," Ayame said looking towards the door. Leading to the opened club where she knew the men were still present at this moment in time.

Miroku turned his head towards the bathroom where he saw the girls stepping out. They all looked so content to be in each others company – to give each other guidance. He saw Sango laughing at something no doubt Rin had said and longed to know what they were speaking about. However, noise by the stage caught his attention, and he immediately glanced back in that direction.

"We will start the final round in five minutes," he heard the announcer state through the speakers, "Higurashi, Takahashi, please have your selections made by that point in time."

He looked towards the side of the stage where he saw his friend walk over to the stairway, and there he was met by the girl that he brought with him as a date last week. Of course InuYasha was no longer there, for some time had passed, but he still couldn't help seeing the dark brown haired man standing next to the stairwell. 'Could InuYasha truly be… no, there is no way! We have been friends forever. I have met his parents, his brother… there is no way Koga is telling the truth…'

Miroku just racked his brain for any clues that confirmed that what Koga was telling him was the truth, but he could find nothing. There was nothing that made InuYasha seem inhuman to him, but as Miroku went through the conversation he had with Koga, he couldn't help but to start and believe.

"It's not a lie!" Koga seethed, making Miroku glance back up at him.

Miroku searched his eyes, "Really?" He lifted his eyebrows, "And how, pray tell, would you know that?"

Koga looked at Miroku and could tell that he really didn't want to hear the crap that he was hearing at the moment. Letting his head fall down, he shook his head slightly, "Because…I am one too."

Miroku stared at him with wide eyes, "You're a what…?" He asked unbelieving.

Looking back up at his friend, Koga had to close his eyes as his friend looked so betrayed, not really knowing who to believe. What to trust. "I'm a demon, Miroku," he stated simply. Quietly.

Shaking his head, "What is that supposed to mean? You're a demon, like the things that ride around with the devil…"

Giving off a small sigh, Koga ran his hand down the side of his face, "It's not really like that," he replied after a few moments.

"Well enlighten me, Koga. Because I am apparently lost here," Miroku stated, his eyes going hard.

Taking in a big puff of air, Koga looked straight into the other mans orbs, "We have like… super powers," he began to explain. "I am a wolf-youkai. So that makes me a wolf demon. I am really strong. I could lift something that you would think impossible without the slightest hesitation. I can run faster then a car going seventy miles per hour. I can smell different things from miles away, and I cam also feel aura's and spiritual powers." He looked towards where Miroku knew InuYasha was standing, "that's how I know that he is a hanyou." Koga looked back toward Miorku, "Hanyou's are a little different then full-demons, which the name gives away. InuYasha is half-dog demon and half-human."

Miroku began shaking his head back and forth, not wanting to believe what he was hearing, "How do I know that you are telling the truth? How can I believe anything you say?" His eyes searched the over the other man – the demon as he looked for answers.

Sighing loudly, Koga brought his hand to his forehead, rubbing his temple as a headache began to ensue. Looking Miroku straight in the eye he stated, "Think of something that you feel strongly about," he instructed.

Miroku cocked his eyebrow as understanding felt incapable to him, "What are you talking about?"

Shaking his head, "Just think of something that makes you mad; think of something that makes you happy, or just something that makes you feel!" Lowering his hand, he sighed loudly, trying to get his temper under control, "Just think of something, like a memory… anything…"

Miroku sighed loudly, shaking his head back and forth as he began to search his mind for something to think about. He rubbed his temples as thoughts traveled to and fro but left him in the dark. He looked towards the stage, and a small grin began overtaking his features as he thought about Higurashi's performance. How hot Kimura looked when she moved on the wooden floor. He thought about taking her back to his place and ravaging her, kissing every possible place on her body, feeling her warm hands—

"You're such a pervert, Miroku," Koga stated bringing him out of his thoughts.

Miroku glanced over at him, confusion portrayed in his orbs, "Huh?" he asked, cocking an eyebrow at the other man.

Shaking his head and letting out a disgusted sigh, Koga simply replied, "You're horny."

A blush dusted on his cheeks as his eyes went wide; Miroku stared at his friend, shocked beyond words. However, the more he thought about it, the more he realized that anyone could've come up with that, "What's new Koga? You could've read that from my expression or something," he replied flippantly. Not thinking that it would take a genius to put two and two together.

Rolling his eyes, Koga replied, "Well, yes… that could be the case if I was actually looking at you, but your scent was so strong that it took me off guard, and I had to say something… and yes… I smelled it!" He looked after his friend, pointing at his nose.

"It still doesn't mean anything," Miroku replied shaking his head. "I need some hard evidence, Koga. Something that blocks out all doubts," he said waving his hand in front of him.

Koga looked at his friends eyes, he took in a small puff of air through his nose, sniffing to see where the other mans thoughts lye. Confusion. His eyes went hard as he tried to see through the mans exterior. He tried to look past his doubts. He tried to look beyond his worries. After a few minutes he got up off the stool, "Follow me," he instructed ready to leave the other man behind if he chose to stay.

Miroku had to run to catch up with the other man. He followed Koga as he led them through the crowded club, passed the rows of people and straight out the door. They walked into the warm night air, a light breeze playing with his hair as he continued to walk behind the other man. They walked into an alleyway between the buildings, and when they were so deep into it that Miroku could hardly hear the noise coming from the club, the other man stopped.

Koga turned to face Miroku with a fierce look covering his visage. He reached around his neck, and carefully tugged at the necklace that Miroku had always seen on the other man, the necklace with a fang hanging off the end.

Koga held the necklace in front of him for a second, and Miroku took a step back as he immediately saw claws extend on his friends fingers.

Koga placed the necklace in his right front pocket of his pants. Looking over at the other man, he saw Miroku looking down. "Sakamoto, look at me," he stated calmly but with authority.

Slowly Miroku rose his eyes up. He lifted them from the man's polo shirt up to his chin, and he was caught off guard to see fangs hanging out of his mouth.

He took another step back as shock made him look at the rest of his friends face, "What the…"

Miroku shook his head as he looked on to the thing in front of him. Its eyes glowed unearthly in the dark. Pointed ears adorned the side of his face instead of the human appendages that he was used to seeing, and out of the corner of his eye he thought he spotted something furry. Turning his head slightly, Miroku backed up aghast. "You…you have a-a tail," he replied not able to make facial contact with the other man anymore.

Fear radiating off the other man, Koga tried to reach out to Miroku, "Miroku, please don't be afraid. I will not hurt you. It's still me," he pleaded as he placed his hand over his heart.

"I'm still Koga," he said in a small voice. "Please," he begged as the other man was still searching over him. He knew he took a risk in telling him, but he thought that Miroku would be able to handle it better than most.

Miroku looked into the other mans eyes, searching over him, seeing if he could really trust this… this thing anymore. He looked into the other mans deep blue orbs that glowed like a candle in a dark night, shining in the darkness, like a ships guide to shore. He saw sadness in his depths. A sorrow so strong that he hadn't ever seen in his eyes before, and Miroku had to cringe as he thought about what he was doing to his friend. The man that he had known for five years. The man that encouraged him when Sango rejected him. He felt horrible for what he just did, "I'm sorry, Koga."

Koga pulled his hand away, thinking that his friend rejected him. "Oh," he replied after a few moments. "Well that's fine. I couldn't really expect you to accept what I really—"

Miroku began to chuckle, shaking his head he looked at his friend, "You idiot," he replied mirth shining in his eyes. "What do you take me for," he asked placing his hand to his chest. "I couldn't throw away our friendship just because you aren't technically human," he continued as he walked over to him. "I was just shocked is all," he stated looking down, ashamed that he acted in such a way. "And, I am sorry that I-that I reacted the way I did," he shook his head as he refused to look at the other man. "Forgive me," he pleaded, eyes shining with unshed tears.

Koga was taken aback by the man in front of him. He was just accepted by a human. A human. Never before in his life had that happened. He stopped telling people briefly after the Middle Ages ended. No one believed in that stuff anymore, and if they did find out, they would rather kill you than befriend you. But this man was not like the rest. He was truly…a friend.

Koga slowly smiled back, his own eyes glazing over with tears. Slowly, almost self-consciously, he reached out his arms and embraced his friend in a hug. Not a hug that one would give to your grandmother. Not a hug that one would give to a close friend. No, a hug that one would give to a long lost brother, "Thank you," he replied barely keeping his emotions under control.

Shaking his head, Miroku replied, "There is nothing to be thankful for. It's what friends do," he replied as he loosened his hold on his friend, pulling back from their embrace.

Laughing a little while shaking his head up and down, Koga replied, "Do you believe me now?"

Chuckling a little, Miroku nodded his head briefly in the affirmative, "I can't argue with that evidence." His smile fell from his face as he thought about his other friend, the friend that he viewed as a brother. The friend that was still inside the club at this very moment, and he couldn't help but feel a little betrayed that InuYasha had never shared such a secret with him.

Looking over the other man, Koga could see that his thoughts had turned to InuYasha, and if he could read the other mans emotions correctly, he knew what he was thinking, "It's against the code," he stated simply.

Miroku looked up at him, his confession pulling him from his thoughts, "What code?"

Taking in a deep breath Koga replied, "There is a law that tells us not to share what we are. It's forbidden," he began shaking his head back and forth. "Takahashi could never tell you, because there would be hell to pay if he did."

Miroku scrunched his eyebrows as his friends submission sunk in, "Well, you told me!" Anger flared from his body as he struggled to keep his emotions together.

Shaking his head, Koga quickly stated, "It's a little different when your father is the one that makes the rules," he replied with a small grin tugging on his lips.

"You mean to tell me…" Miroku started as his eyes went wide.

Chuckling a bit at the other mans antics, Koga replied, "Well, like I said, he is half…"

"But-but," Miroku began trying to get his thoughts clear. "So, his dad… is a…dog demon."

"Yep," Koga replied giving his head a firm nod.

Miroku felt the blood leaving his face. "I think I need to sit down real quick," he said as he sank to the hard alley ground.

Koga just laughed at the man by his feet, "You find out that InuYasha is a half-demon, that I am a full-demon," he replied resting his hand briefly on his chest. "And you are more shocked that InuYasha's father is a demon," he finished chuckling.

Miroku shook his head, "Have you ever met his dad, dude?" He looked into the other mans eyes, "He is a beast, man. That dude is huge," he continued eyes going wide as he tried to flex his arms.

"Well I bet," Koga replied still laughing. "He is the Leader of the demons," he continued cracking up.

"He's what!"

"Oh," Koga looked up at Miroku, abruptly stopping his laughing tirade, "Yeah, his father is the Inu no Taisho," he replied sheepishly.

"Damn," Miroku muttered, knowing no other word to express his thoughts at the moment. He shook his head. "I guess life is full of surprises," he replied a smirk touching his lips.

Koga let a little grin tug on his mouth as well, "You got that right."

"Well," Miroku said letting out a big sigh. He moved to get up, "I guess we should head back inside."

Koga's eyes widened as he thought about the mutt inside, "What are you going to do about Takahashi?"

Miroku shrugged his shoulders, "What difference does it make," he replied simply. "I'm still friends with you, aren't I?"

"Yeah, but that's different," Koga stated shaking his head back and forth. A frown covering his features, "He is—"

"No," Miroku cut him off, "it doesn't make a difference. He is still my friend and a great guy." He stood directly in front of Koga, looking him in the eye, "Maybe if you took the time to know him, you would find that out too!" He started making his way back through the alley.

Koga could only sigh loudly into the night air as he slipped his hand into his front pocket to pull out his neck decoration. He slipped it over his head and felt the spell hiding his senses, "Maybe," he quietly replied as he made his way to follow the other man back into the club.

InuYasha had to try to catch his breath as he began to smile into the darkened club. Excitement filled him to the brim as he heard that he was a finalist in the competition along with Kagome. He made his way to the staircase, wanting nothing more than to look into her blue orbs and see what kind of emotion she was thinking. What her face held when he stepped into her vision. He was on the last step when he heard someone call, "InuYasha."

His eyes widened as he looked forward and was met with the one woman that he never wanted to see again. His mouth hung open as he was at a loss for words.

She smiled up at him, "How have you been?" She started to walk towards him. "I have been trying to call you, but every time I call there is no answer," she stated as she pouted at him.

She took his hand in hers, "You aren't trying to ignore me, are you?" She looked at him with big puppy eyes, her brown orbs shining in the dimly lit club.

Gently he pulled his hand from hers, as he used it to scratch the back of his neck. He was racking his brain for what to tell her, 'this chick definitely caught me at a bad time,' he grumbled as he continued with skimming through his consciousness. "Umm," he began looking around the club for something that he could use as an excuse.

His thoughts cleared as he remembered of who he was. What family he belonged to, and where he lived. He looked at her, uncertainty gone, he shrugged his shoulders, "I just didn't feel like calling you."

Her eyes went wide as she just stared at him. Her mouth hanging open as his words sunk in, "Well, why wouldn't you," she asked with anger rising in her voice. 'I really waited by the phone for him to call me all week for this,' she thought as he gave her a small smirk.

"Listen babe," he began, his teeth briefly showing through his sexy lips, "I call who I feel like calling. I hang out with people I want to be around. And I don't date," he continued voice sounding a bit rough to make certain she was clear on that. "Girls that won't be able to trust me," he continued giving his shoulders a little shrug.

Shaking her head, Haruhi quickly replied, "But I do trust you, when have I ever given you a reason to doubt that."

Shaking his head lightly, InuYasha replied, "Babe, don't try so hard. We only went on one date," he continued scratching his forehead. "That isn't enough time to get to know a person," he stated looking into her eyes.

"But InuYasha," she began, trying to get him to reason.

"I got to go babe," he cut her off. "I'll see you around," he replied giving her a nice smile walking towards the bar area. 'Yeah…that won't be happening,' he thought as he hoped that he was loosing the girl walking through the swarms of people.

When he reached the drink station, he quickly looked around him to make sure that no weird dates were trying to follow him. He quickly took in a deep breath and confirmed that she wasn't in the area, but… he did catch whiff of his friend and the wolf. 'When did they go to the bar,' he wondered as he thought back to before he went on stage to perform.

His eyebrows scrunched together when he couldn't remember the wolf and Miroku ever going to the bar together, 'Maybe they just went to get drinks for the girls,' he thought as he got up off the stool and made his way to the balcony where they were all seated, before he went on stage. However, when he began to follow the wolfs' scent along with his friend, it wasn't leading him to the tables…but to the doors outside.

He stopped briefly, looking around, and taking in another whiff just to make sure that he was indeed correct. Finding that his instincts were right, he push open the doors and followed to see where his nose was taking him. He was about to go down an alleyway when voices reached his ears.

"You mean to tell me…" he heard Miroku start uncertainly.

Chuckling a bit, Koga replied, "Well, like I said, he is half…"

"But-but," InuYasha heard Miroku begin to stutter. "So, his dad… is a…dog demon."

"Yep," he heard Koga tell the other man with what sounded like a smile on his face.

InuYasha took a step back in disbelief, 'What the hell does that wolf think he's doing,' he thought as he wanted nothing more then to tear the other demons throat out. His eyes narrowed as he quickly skimmed around him, sensing no humans in the area, he swiftly leapt on top of the building to get closer to his friend and the smelly bastard. He gazed over the side as he continued to listen to the conversation.

"Well," Miroku said letting out a big sigh. He moved to get up, "I guess we should head back inside."
InuYasha saw Koga's eyes widen, "What are you going to do about Takahashi?"

He is still my friend and a great guy." He stood directly in front of Koga, looking him in the eye, "Maybe if you took the time to know him, you would find that out too!" He turned around, starting his way back through the alley.

InuYasha turned his head from where his friend escaped the side of the building and glanced back towards the wolf.

Koga let out a loud sigh into the night air as he slipped his hand into his front pocket to pull something out. He slipped it over his head, "Maybe," he quietly replied as he made his way to follow the other man back into the club. However, when he reached the end of the alleyway an undesired scent put him on alarm. He quickly looked behind and didn't see anything. When he turned around, he was met face to face with a seething hanyou.

Koga instinctively backed up; not liking the look in the other mans eyes.

"What the hell do you think you are doing," InuYasha yelled at the demon in front of him.

Koga crossed his arms over his chest, "What does it look like mutt face, I am walking back into the club," he replied as he tried to make his way past him.

InuYasha slammed the demon against the wall, his hand tightening around the other mans throat, "You didn't answer my question," he seethed. "What the hell are you doing," he asked slowly as he inched his face closer to the wolf.

Koga began to feel InuYasha's aura rise. His control on his anger slipping as his hold on his throat got tighter. He felt his heart beat speed up as he locked gazes with the half demon, "I had to tell him," he stated simply after a few moments. No emotion showing in his features as he looked toward the other man.

"Really," InuYasha taunted, "and what gave you that sudden urge," he asked as he briefly flexed his claws.

"He had to know for Kagome's sake," Koga replied as his fear was winning over his pride to not let the man in front of him get his answers.

InuYasha's eyes narrowed, "Why the fuck would you care in the first place?" InuYasha asked as he brought Kogas' face towards him only to propel it back towards the wall seconds later. "If I'm not mistaken, you went out with her yourself," InuYasha replied as his hand once more tightened on the other mans throat, drawing blood this time with his claws.

"That's different mutt face," Koga answered as he struggled to find the needed oxygen to keep him conscious. "I don't trust you," he continued looking the other demon in the eyes.

InuYasha's eyes hardened at the other mans submission, "And you think I trust you," he asked seething. His anger boiling his blood as he had to use all his strength to hold back the demon inside himself that wanted nothing more then to feel this bastards blood trickle from his claws.

"Why would I care if you trusted me," Koga asked angrily. "You know nothing about Kagome, yet you treat her like every other girl," he continued no longer feeling faint, as his concern for his friend became stronger. "Kagome is special. She is definitely too good for a hanyou like you," Koga seethed as he tore InuYasha's hand off his throat and stepped back to catch his breath, still keeping his gaze on the half-demon in front of him.

The moment where Koga stated his fears became InuYasha's downfall as the other man pulled out of his grip and moved out of his reach.

"You don't know who you're up against mutt," Koga stated still taking in deep breaths, but they weren't as noticeable now.

InuYasha's eye hardened, "Who are you to tell me that?" InuYasha asked as he pointed to himself. "I know… you know who my father is, and when he hears about this… there will be hell to pay," he continued as his anger was coming back full force.

Koga began to laugh at the other man, "Yeah, that's right…always leaning on your old man." He looked into the other mans eyes, all mirth leaving his face, "You're even more pathetic then I thought."

Any control over his temper was lost as InuYasha lunged towards the other man, his claws out as he dove through the air, aiming for the demons throat.

Leaving the bathroom, the girls immediately set out to find the guys.

Making their way towards the balcony, Ayame quickly stopped when she smelt Miroku's scent towards the bar, "Hold on guys," she stated stretching out her arms, blocking the other girl's path. "I think the guys are still by the bar," she continued turning around to face them.

Sango cocked her eyebrows, confused as to why her friend might think that when they had been gone for so long, but when she looked in said area, there her boyfriend was… sitting on a stool, "They are," she replied as she pointed in that direction.

Ayame looked on as she made her way towards Miroku, 'Why isn't Koga with him?' She wondered briefly as they made their trek through the hordes of people still dancing to the club mixes.

Miroku looked at the girls as they came into view, "Evening ladies," he replied with a smirk grazing his features. His stare lingered over to Sango, "My, you look more beautiful every time I see you," he replied as he took in her beauty, his stare traveling up her body, landing peacefully on her face.

A nice blush covered Sango's face as her boyfriend ate her up with his eyes. She walked towards him as she slapped his shoulders, "Stop being such a pervert," she replied quietly once she was next to him.

Miroku just chuckled as he leaned over to kiss her cheek, savoring the fact that Sango's blush got a little deeper as he did so.

"Sakamoto," Ayame called him to attention.

He looked over to her, cocking an eyebrow at the authority she used behind her voice, "What is it Ogawa," he asked concerned by her behavior.

"Where's Koga?" She asked looking around him. She felt it a little unnerving to smell his scent leading towards the door but not coming back from it.

Miroku quickly skimmed around himself, looking back towards her he replied, "huh, well… I don't know." He placed his finger to his chin, "the last time I saw him was when we went outside, but I thought that he would've made his way in by now."

Ayame's eyes widened as she tried to think of why he might not be back inside yet. 'Maybe he just needed a little more fresh air,' she thought, trying to reassure herself. Turning back to face Miroku she asked, "Why did you guys go outside in the first place?"

Miroku looked over at her, not really knowing how to answer her question. 'Does Ayame know about all this,' he wondered briefly. "We just needed to get away from the crowd," he stated as he thought that was the easiest way to sum it all up without really lying to the girl.

Ayame searched over him, she could tell from his scent that he was telling the truth. She looked towards the door, "I think that I will go see what he's up to," she replied as she began walking towards the entrance of the club.

Miroku not really liking the fact that Ayame would be alone, stood up, "I think that I will go too."
Ayame looked back over her shoulders at him, her question evident from her gaze, 'Why?'

"I need to ask him something," he replied simply.

Ayame let a little smile tug on her face, but it didn't really reach her eyes. She gave her head a firm shake, as she began walking towards the door when another scent reached her nose.

"I wonder where Takahashi is," she heard Kagome ask.

Without really thinking, Ayame quickly retorted, "Outside." She began to pick up her pace as fear caught hold of her.

Kagome looked over to her friend, "Ayame how would you know…?" She began, but she saw her friend traveling faster and faster away from her. "Ayame," Kagome called out, "wait up!"

Miroku looked after the other girl, 'How could she know,' he thought as his eyes went wide with disbelief. 'Is…Ogawa a demon too,' he wondered as the girl traveled further and further in head of them.

The sight that Ayame found when she turned the corner made her stop in her tracks. InuYasha and Koga were fighting neck to neck. Blood sopping from open wounds as they continued to dive and slide passed each other. They each had blood dripping from their claws as they panted into the night air.

They parted as they both took sides in the pathway, trying to catch their breath. Before they each could jump once more at each other, a voice stopped them.

"What the hell do you two think you're doing," she asked as she once more received her ability to walk and made the trek towards the two demons in front of her.

InuYasha looked behind him, seeing Ayame, he called out, "That bastard that you call a boyfriend broke the fucking code." He pointed deeper into the darkened alley.

Ayame allowed her gaze to follow his finger, and she had to take in a deep breath as her eyes landed on Koga. "What did you do?" She asked as she shook her head back and forth, not believing that he could do something so stupid. Not understanding why he would think of doing something so punishable, so fast.

"He told Miroku," she heard InuYasha answer.

Her eyes went wide, "You did what?" She walked right passed the seething hanyou and stood directly in front of the wolf demon, "Are you that dumb, Koga?" She asked as rage engulfed her form. "You put us all at risk for telling him!" She pointed behind her. "They are all following me, and what will they find," she asked pointing around her. "Two bloody demons, bawling it out in a dark alleyway," she crossed her arms over her chest as she positioned herself to look at both men. "What will they think when they see you two?" She asked; her eyes hard.

Both men immediately took a step back from the dangerous glare given to them by the girl. Any type of retort was lost on their tongues as they heard foot steps at the front of the passage way. All three looked in that direction when worried gasps reached their ears.

InuYasha had to cringe as he saw Kagome looking over him, her worried blue orbs making him close his eyes and unconsciously step away from her gaze.

"What happened here?" He heard her call out meekly. No doubt scared of the answer she would receive.

Silenced reached her ears as the moments trickled by, no one really wanting to atone to what actually did occur.

Miroku not believing his eyes, began to shake his head. The blood soaking through his friends clothes, the red liquid dripping slowly from their fingers, it was all too much for him to bear. "Did the two of you get into a fight?"

The three girls with him immediately looked back towards the darkened passage, shock evident from their gaze as they awaited the answer.

InuYasha just waited to hear what the wolves would say. He couldn't bear the gazes the four humans were sending his way. The unknowing stares as they looked at hell through a murky hallway.

The seconds trickled by as the silence continued. No one spoke. InuYasha opened his eyes to see the humans in front of him all staring him down. He turned around and saw the wolves looking at him as well, 'bastards,' he grumbled to himself as he held his gaze behind him longer then necessary to hold off the inevitable staring that would continue when he turned around.

He reluctantly turned his head to face the front of the passage. They were all giving him questioning stares. Worried glances. He let out a soft sigh as he struggled over what to say, "We…" he began closing his eyes, but before he could finish, a brilliant idea came to his mind, "We got cornered by five other guys," he stated looking into their faces. He turned around to see how that reaction took with the demons behind him, and he saw the two of them quickly school their features and nod their heads, silently telling him to continue.

He turned back around, looking straight at Miroku he pleaded with him to keep quiet. To silently accept his explanation for right now, later he would explain. 'I can't risk everyone finding out,' he thought as he continued. "Koga and I tried our best to get some punches in, but there were so many of them," he shook his head, playing the part of a horribly trampled man. "At first we were holding our ground against them," he started again, letting out a long sigh. "But then more of them joined up," he ran his bloodied hand through his now… matted hair. "Their buddy came by in a car, and before they got caught, they jumped in and ran off," he finished easing slowly to the ground. Trying to appear beaten and on the brink of death. He leaned his head between his knees, "I'm just so glad they're gone," he replied sounding so scared.

Ayame and Koga could only look on amazed by the performance he just put on, 'Man, he should have kept at that acting career he had,' Ayame thought to herself. She quickly placed Koga's arm over her shoulder, winking at him when he looked at her puzzled. He briefly smiled at her. He looked towards the light, "Miroku," he called out.

Miroku tore his gaze away from InuYasha to quickly look towards Koga.

"Help InuYasha out, would you," he heard Koga ask simply. For a moment, Miroku stood in his place, but movement brought him from his daze.

Kagome rushed to the hanyou's side, "Are you all right, Takahashi," she asked kneeling down beside the fallen man.

Miroku quickly followed after her, kneeling slightly on one leg on the other side of his friend.

InuYasha slowly lifted his head up, he looked into Kagome's concerned blue orbs, "I'm better now that you're here," he replied truthfully, with a small grin tugging on his face.

Kagome smiled back, tears longing to fall from her eyes as she thought about the pain her two friends were in. She looked across from her, locking eyes with Miroku. She steadied her gaze as she moved to help InuYasha to his feet with Mirokus' help.

Finally getting InuYasha to his feet, she looked to her two friends standing still at the front of the alleyway. "Sango," she stated bringing the girls' attention to her, "tell the announcer that we had an emergency and that InuYasha and I will not make it to the finals." Immediately Sango ran off to do as she was told. She then turned her gaze towards Rin, "Call 911. Tell them we are on our way with two injured men, and to be prepared for our arrival in fifteen minutes." Rin turned the corner, immediately pulling out her cell phone to do her bidding.

As the words left her mouth, she felt InuYasha stiffen, and Miroku slacked on his weight help with the man in the middle, "What's wrong?" She asked confused by the men with her.

"Uh," she heard Miroku quickly retort. "Well, it's just that InuYasha is afraid of hospitals," he replied shaking his head quickly up and down.

"Yeah," InuYasha agreed looking at her, "I mean… I will be good just going home to lie down for the rest of the night."

Kagome scrunched up here eyebrows at what she was hearing, "Are the two of you crazy, look at him Sakamoto," she replied locking gazes with the other man. "The blood is seeping through his clothes, and you don't think that he should go to the emergency room?"

"Yeah," Ayame piped up, "I really don't think Koga needs to either, he just needs some rest."

Kagome abruptly turned around, not believing what she was hearing.

Miroku looked at the two of them, 'So, my assumption was correct.'

"What is wrong with the four of you?" She asked as she began shaking her head back and forth in disbelief.

"Kagome, really… it's fine," she heard Koga meekly call out.

"No, it's not," she quickly retorted as she looked at all four members in the passageway. "The least we should do is get your wounds checked, come on Sakamoto," she replied as she once more took on InuYasha's weight.

"Fine," InuYasha grumbled, "but let me pick the hospital," he stated as he locked eyes with her.

His tone was so forceful, but the look in his eyes was so gentle, she stopped in her tracks. It was like night and day with him, letting out a deep sigh, "fine," she quickly replied, "but let's go before the two of you get any infections."

InuYasha quickly looked behind him, making eye contact with Koga. Koga gave him a firm nod of the head, letting him know that he trusted him in this one, 'he got us all out of a rather uncomfortable explanation,' he grumbled as he submitted to himself that the half-breed could do things his way this time.

InuYasha began to feel a little grin tug on his mouth as he saw Koga giving him a brief nod. He turned forward once more, and acted his part, as he placed more weight between Kagome and Miroku. 'This is going to be a really long night,' he grumbled to himself, as they made their way through the parking lot to the cars.
