Chapter 7- Confessions

The ride to the hospital was long and restless for InuYasha. Every few seconds he would feel either Kagome or Miroku's stare on him, and it was getting a little unnerving.

They made it to the Medical Center of his choosing. The staff being momentarily caught off guard by seeing him there, but upon further inspection of the rest in the party, they went to work and strolled Kouga and himself into their own rooms to get worked on, leaving the other members of their party to wait in the lobby until someone told them visiting was allowed.

InuYasha just rolled his eyes as he let out a long sigh, knowing that if they didn't have humans with them, none of the preliminaries of going to a hospital would have been needed.

Once the door to the waiting room closed, and he knew that enough space was separating him from the humans in his group, he hopped out of the chair and started to walk down the hallway.

"Your father will love this," his doctor, Myoga, replied.

"Shut up, old man," InuYasha grumbled out, following closely behind the demon to make it to his examination room.

Myoga just shook his head, "You pups just never learn, do you?"

InuYasha reached over and bumped the man on the head, "I told you to shut up," InuYasha barked out, passing the man grumbling about his head on the floor.

He positioned himself on the examination table, the paper crinkling beneath him as he waited for his doctor to enter.

Myoga's large eyes studied InuYasha for a moment, seeing him sitting on the examination table caught him off guard, "Are we really going to do this," Myoga asked him, not knowing why the boy was waiting to be checked over.

InuYasha crossed his arms over his chest, facing the other direction he replied, "Just get it over with."

Myoga just shook his head. Walking fully into the room, he grabbed his clip board and started writing down his notes.

He lifted up InuYasha's shirt. Seeing the wounds already begin to close over, he dropped the cloth, so that it could once more cover him. "Everything looks fine," Myoga called out, still writing on his clipboard. "But since you brought humans with you, I will have to keep you over night," he grumbled.

InuYasha lifted his head, "Why the hell would that matter, I'm fine. I can go home," he barked out.

Myoga just let out a long breath, "They won't understand, Master InuYasha," he replied as calmly as he could. "To humans, you were on the brink of death. Do you really want to give your identity away?" He asked as calmly as he could.

InuYasha placed his hand to his forehead, "I guess not," he submitted, hating the fact that he would have to be in close contact with the wolf for the rest of the night.

"Alright then," Myoga called out, already making his way out of the room.

InuYasha hopped off of the mat, making his way to the recovery room, where he would have to spend the entire night with the wolf. As he entered, he could smell his stench. His nose crinkled as he called out, "Take a damn shower wolf! You smell worse then those gas station bathrooms."

"Shut the hell up, mutt," Koga shot back. "You smell worse then I do. Do you know how many whores I can smell on you? It makes me sick," Koga taunted, making a gagging noise in the back of his throat.

"Well at least I know I can get some," InuYasha laughed back. "I don't even smell the wolf bitch on you," he shot back.

Koga began to get out of his bed, "What the hell did you say," he asked as he began popping his knuckles.

"I said–"

"Would the two of you cut it out," Ayame cut in.

InuYasha just huffed as he made his way to his bed on the other side of the room.

Koga looked up at her, his face turning soft as he gazed at the green eyed girl staring back at him.
"You feel okay," she asked Koga as she made her way over to his bed.

He shrugged his shoulders, "it's nothing. The bleeding is already done, and the wounds are healing up." He laughed as he lifted his shirt, showing her the slash on his stomach that was closing rapidly.

She nodded her head, "I'm glad. The two of you scared me for a second," she replied, glancing first at Koga and then chancing a look in Takahashi's direction.

"There ain't nothing to worry about," InuYasha huffed out, his arms crossed over his midsection with his eyes closed. "If your pussy boyfriend hadn't –"

"What did you say," Koga asked as he made to lunge over to the hanyou across the room.

Ayame held him to the bed, "Oh, just stop it," she yelled, tired of all the bickering the two of them went through. "You both sound like a bunch of children. Now can you grow up and act your age, and not your shoe size," she asked slowly, trying to get her own anger under control as she calmed the two men down.

Koga just leaned back, "Well, he started it," he replied pointing in InuYasha's direction.

"What the," InuYasha mumbled, his eyes opening wide as he immediately sat up on the bed, "You started it you stinking wolf," he replied as he pointed back at him.

"Enough," Ayame yelled out. She took in a deep breath, "Kagome and the others want to see you guys to make sure your all right," she began slowly, trying to ease her temper back down. "But, I think with the way you two are grumbling like old men, I should just tell them to come and see you in the morning," she finished shaking her head, getting up off of Koga's bed and making her way to the door.
"Wait," InuYasha called out.

The sincerity in his voice made her turn to face him.

"Can you tell Miroku to come back here," he asked softly. "I have something I need to talk to him about," he continued, his face turned down towards his bed.

Koga just rolled his eyes, "Too late mutt. If you don't remember, I already did that for you," he called out, as he crossed his arms.

"Why you," InuYasha started.

"I'll tell him to come," Ayame cut in before another fight escalated between the two.

InuYasha leaned back, so caught off guard that she was going to do as he requested that he totally forgot about what the wolf said. "Thank you," he replied truthfully as he watched her leave the room.

Ayame was happy that once she walked out of the room that the two of them were quiet, liking how even if Koga tried to get another rise out of Takahashi, that InuYasha just told him calmly to shut up and that was the end of that.

She knew it was more than likely because he was trying to remain calm and collected, before he talked to Miroku.

She began shaking her head at how stupid her boyfriend was for telling him in the first place, "I will have to beat the crap out of him for that one," she grumbled to herself as she made her way down the last hallway which led to the waiting room. She stepped up to the door and let out a shaky breath, trying to appear composed so that her friends would know that the boys were all right.

She placed her hand on the steel door before lightly pushing on it, allowing her to walk through the entry. At once she saw the girls all look up at her, their concern evident from their faces. Each one holding a bit of sorrow and uncertainty. It pained her to see it, but it couldn't be helped. There was no way that she was going to break the code just to put their minds at ease. There was way too much at stake as it was to add more wood to the fire.

She glanced over at Miroku. She saw that his head was down, as if he was waiting to hear some type of horrible news, but didn't really want to be a part of it. As if he just wanted to be there in body, his mind elsewhere.

"Sakamoto," she called lightly, forcing him to look up at her. "Takahashi would like to see you," she relayed calmly.

He stared at her without really seeing her for a moment, his eyes blank, but after a minute he mildly shook his head back and forth, his eyes clearing as he made to stand up.

"He's in recovery," she told him as he made his way passed her. "Ask someone for help if you need to," she called after him, hoping that he heard.

He really did look way too involved in what he was thinking to actually see where he was going.

She let out a long sigh before turning back towards the others.

"Are they okay," she heard Kagome ask.

"What happened," Rin cut in.

"Did they catch those guys who did it?" Sango asked last.

Ayame lifted her hands, "All right one at a time," she joked, hoping that by being playful the girls would know that the boys were all right.

She turned to face Kagome, "they're fine," she rolled her eyes at how obvious that was with all the bickering they were doing when she was in there.

"Nothing happened," she looked to Rin, "I just wanted to make sure that Koga didn't need anything is all," she rushed to explain. "That's the only reason I went back there," she hoped that her honesty was evident from her voice.

She then turned to Sango, "I don't know," she replied honestly, hating the fact that they had to deal with make believe attackers. She shook her head, "But I don't think that they want to involve the police."

"What," all three asked harmoniously.

"You have to be kidding me," Kagome huffed out.

"Why wouldn't they want to," Sango cut in.

"They're a bunch of idiots," Rin stated, shaking her head back and forth.

Ayame could only crack a grin at how true Rin's statement actually was, 'You have no idea,' she thought as she shook her head.

"They just said that it would be too much trouble. They don't really remember what they looked like, so it would be kind of pointless is how they explained it," she ranted, glad that she had the ability to think on her toes, since she hadn't talked it over with either one of the demons back there about this.

She looked at the three girls in front of her, trying to see what each one thought about it. Sango scrunched her eyebrows together, judging whether or not that was a reasonable excuse. Kagome stood motionless, her mouth hanging agape, and Rin just quirked her eyebrow.

She let out an easy sigh, knowing from their looks that, for right now, they were appeased, but they would bring it up later.

"Are we allowed to see them," Kagome asked once Ayame made to sit down.

Ayame looked at her, "No, not tonight at least," Ayame replied shaking her head. "The doctors want to give them a chance to recover. They should be all better by tomorrow…is what the doctors said, so we can see them then," she leaned her head against the wall trying to close her eyes. She was getting tired, and her lack of sleep was wearing on her.

"Yeah," Sango cut in. "They looked like they should be fine, they are both so stubborn though that it's hard to tell for sure," she kidded as she rubbed her forehead.

"Well I for one," Rin cut in, a small yawn escaping her mouth. "Want to go home if every thing is fine. I'm beat," she snuggled into the chair.

Ayame looked over at Kagome, wondering why she was being so quiet and caught her gazing at her phone, "What about you, Kags?"

Kagome looked over at her, her eyes having that glazed over look when she locked eyes with Ayame. She shook her head a bit, "What? Oh, I don't know," Kagome finally answered, looking back towards the doors, she went on, "I just feel like I am missing something."

Ayame felt her eyebrows scrunch together, "Like what?"

Kagome let out a small breath, her shoulders shrugging up a bit, "I just feel… I don't know like there's something no one is saying. I feel like I am being left out of something," she replied laughing a bit. "It's dumb I know, but I still can't help but think…."

Ayame had to catch her mouth from falling open. Kagome was a lot more perceptive then she gave her credit for. The girl had no idea how close she was to knowing the truth, and Ayame felt horrible for crushing her thoughts, "You just need to get some sleep," she cut in, laughing at the other girl.
Kagome looked over at her, a small smile gracing her features, "You're probably right." She got up out of the chair, "Who's riding with who?" she asked as she looked over the three girls in front of her.

Ayame made to get up, "I am going to tell Koga that we are going to leave. He'll be fine tonight," she laughed as she went through the doors, happy that, at least, her friends were in the dark…for now.

Miroku walked carefully through the corridor. His every step hinting at something he just didn't want to know. What he saw tonight, all that blood, it really showed him something. Could he really stand hanging out with a bunch of demons? Could he lie to the rest of his friends, make excuses like he was supposed to tonight over and over again? Could his conscious stand lying to the ones he cared about just to keep his friends safe? It was all too much for him.

Reaching a fork in the hallway, Miroku looked up. The sign on the wall pointed two ways. One was to surgery and the cafeteria, and the other was to recovery.

He stood motionless for a moment, not knowing really if he wanted to see his friend. Not knowing if things could ever truly be the same for them ever again.

He thought about the times when they were younger, and how they would both do crazy things like jump out of trees, do back flips off the trampoline, have swimming races around the pool, and as Miroku thought of those things, he began to see a new light in all those situations.

Every time they did something crazy, he was the one who got hurt. When they jumped out of the tree together, InuYasha landed perfectly on his feet, graceful, like a cat, while he ended up having a broking leg and being in a cast for six months.

One night when they were bored out of their minds, InuYasha decided that to pass the time they should go out to his backyard to the trampoline and have a back flip contest. InuYasha went first, making two complete spins, before he landed elegantly on his feet... not a scratch on him. His white teeth shinned through his mouth as he dared Miroku to try as well. He got up on the trampoline, knowing that if InuYasha could do it, then he could as well. Oh how stupid he had been in his early teen years. So he jumped once, trying to get his momentum going. He jumped again, a little higher in the air now, and then he jumped a third time and leaned his body backwards. He knew that as soon as he started that he wouldn't make it. He would end up sprawled on the side railing, or on the springs that adorned the side, so he closed his eyes and covered his head, hoping that he could, at least, protect his eyes and face from the fall, but the fall never came. He opened his eyes, and saw that Sesshomaru held him in the air, looking stern at InuYasha. Miroku looked down and saw that he was above the green grass, a good five feet from the trampoline. Sesshomaru immediately set him to the ground, the young man already a good six foot tall by his tender age of sixteen, with InuYasha and himself being close to five foot, their growth spurt not coming in as of yet. InuYasha crossed his arms over his chest huffing at his brother, but he could see that InuYasha was grateful that Sesshomaru came when he did.

"And every time we raced around the pool…InuYasha would win," Miroku spoke aloud, amazed by every thing that was now fitting together. "What a bastard," he laughed, shaking his head back and forth.

He was also noticing smaller things. Inconsistencies that never really made any sense, but he had never really thought of them at length before. Past a certain age, Miroku noticed that InuYasha never really changed. Yes, he looks like a twenty year old guy, but he also looked twenty when they were fourteen. The year right after their growth spurt came, the summer after the trampoline incident.

One final memory came to the forefront of his mind. One thought that paused his steps once more. It was right before InuYasha moved away. They were about fourteen almost fifteen. He was spending the night at InuYasha's house like they did every other Friday. They were playing video games on the PS2. When out of no where, InuYasha became serious. He ended up dieing because of it, but at that moment he didn't care.

"Miroku," InuYasha called out.

Miroku quickly glanced in his direction, "What are you doing, Yash," Miroku asked as he shot the man in front of him. InuYasha's character stayed in the same place.

"Yash, move your man, you're goin' to kill us," Miroku rushed in. He bit his lower lip, turning his head slightly as he ducked out of the way from the bomb heading towards them.

"InuYasha, do it," Miroku called out. He turned to look at his friend, trying to see what was wrong. "Yash," Miroku asked softly, trying to understand why his friend was turned away. He heard the bomb explode, the game relaying to them that the game was over, but he didn't care. He placed his hand on his friends shoulder, "Yasha," he asked once more, trying to get his friend to look at him. "What's up man?" He asked concerned, for as long as he's known InuYasha, he hated loosing, and they both just died, because he stopped playing, so something was definitely up.

"If I told you something," InuYasha began uneasily. His voice coming out shaky, nothing like the cocky attitude Miroku was used to. "Something important to me…would you promise to keep it a secret," InuYasha asked as he finally turned towards him.

Miroku noticed that there was no humor in his face. His eyes showed fear for some strange reason that Miroku couldn't pinpoint. He lightly nodded his head.

InuYasha's eyes went hard, "Are you sure? You won't be able to tell anyone. Never," he went on shaking his head. "This will always be between us," he replied softly, his stern gaze never wavering off his friend.

"I promi –"

"InuYasha," his father hollered down from the hallway.

InuYasha let out a long sigh, his head lowering a bit as he made to get up.

Miroku only looked after him, worrying why his friend was so concerned that he never tell anyone. What kind of secret could it be that it would only be between the two of them?

InuYasha was gone for a couple minutes, but when he came back he just sat in front of the television and picked up the controller. "What was that about?" Miroku asked as InuYasha brought the game to life once more.

InuYasha just shrugged his shoulders, "Nothing."

Miroku only stared at him, "So, what was it that you were wanting to tell me," he asked uneasily. Not really knowing how to bring the subject back up.

InuYasha's hands abruptly stopped what they were doing. His finger freezing over the small blue button for a moment before he answered, "It was nothing man," and then he went back to what he was doing. "You want to play the same area?" He asked once he got to the menu bar.

Miroku hesitated a moment, looking over his friend. The urgency, the concern was no longer present. He was just acting like the same old Yasha that he knew. "Yeah, let's beat their ass," he replied smiling as he picked up his own controller.

As that memory left Miroku, he had to wonder what it was that InuYasha was going to tell him five years ago.

He shook his head, 'InuYasha never brought it up after that, and two weeks later he moved to the states,' he thought as his hand went to his forehead, feeling a small headache rise from all the tension that he went through tonight.

He found himself moving down the hallway, not really knowing which way he chose, but once he made it through the last door and saw InuYasha sitting uneasily on a bed in the furthest corner away from Koga, he knew which way destiny had led him.

He hesitated a moment in the doorway. Not knowing what to do, or what to say that would make this situation less awkward.

InuYasah looked up at him; the hand that was rubbing his forehead was still lightly touching his temple. The same look. That same gaze that InuYasha wore on his face five years ago was once more covering his visage, and Miroku knew what he wanted to know.

"What were you going to tell me five years ago?" Miroku asked, still standing in the doorway.

InuYasha pulled his eyebrows up, not knowing where his friend was going with this, "What are you talking about?"

Miroku began shaking his head, and started walking into the room, not really wanting anyone else to hear. "That day we were playing video games," Miroku began as he sat on a chair not far from InuYasha. "We were just getting to the final level of the game, and you just stopped playing. You made us loose man, and you hate loosing. I didn't know what to think… you were so serious, and then your dad called you," Miroku watched as recognition flickered in InuYasha's gaze. "You left, sighing all loud, your head down like you knew what was coming, and when you came back in…you tried to act like everything was fine, like nothing happened, and when I asked you about it," Miroku shook his head. "You pretended like it was nothing, but I saw you hesitate. I know you still wanted to tell me, but you brushed it off," he locked gazes with InuYasha. "And then you left, and I never got to ask you about it again," he finished, his gaze never leaving his amber eyed friend.

InuYasha didn't know what to say. He couldn't believe that his friend remembered that. He barely remembered, until Miroku said something. He looked down at his clenched fist. He noticed how whenever something upset him, or when something got too tense, he would clench his fist. It was kind of like a silent mechanism his body did to block out what he didn't want to go through, what he didn't want to see. He sighed loudly, "I can't believe you remember that," InuYasha let out an awkward chuckle, shaking his head back and forth.

Miroku felt a small grin cross his features, "To be frank, I just remembered," he chuckled as well.

InuYasha shook his head slowly up and down, "That was a weird day," he replied, his voice soft.

Miroku looked up at him, "What did you want to tell me that day," he asked once more, knowing that this time, his friend had no way to back out of it.

InuYasha let out a long sigh, his head falling forward a bit, "I wanted to tell you…" he voice dropped off. He never realized how hard it would be to tell anyone this. "I have always wanted to tell you…what I really am," he replied as he turned his head toward his friend.

Miroku only looked on, his gaze not giving anything away.

InuYasha swallowed, trying to will his mind to obey. He needed to tell his friend this. He owed him this much, if not more. "I am a half-demon, Miroku," he replied steadily.

Miroku sat there a moment, just feeling the air coming through his lungs. The soft breaths escaping him were the only sounds he heard as he continued to stare at his friend. "So, Koga was right," he asked softly. His head falling forward a bit as that realization struck him.

InuYasha flinched as if he were struck by some unseen force. He lightly nodded his head, "Yeah," he replied quietly.

"Why didn't you ever tell me?" Miroku questioned, his gaze still turned down. His head shaking back and forth as he rubbed his hand over his face, his eyes meeting his friend.

InuYasha let out a long sigh, "How was I supposed to tell you, Miro," InuYasha questioned him back. "Every time I tried, every time I wanted to, someone would tell me not to. That it wasn't safe for you, and I never wanted to intentionally put you in harms way," he finally allowed.

"What would have been so bad about you telling me," Miroku questioned. "What would have been the worst than what has happened?" He asked facing his friend.

"My father is the Inu-no-Taisho, Miroku. Do you even understand that?" He asked as he quirked his eyebrow at his friend. "I am pretty sure that Koga told you a bit about that…but it's so much worse having him for a father." He shook his head back and forth, "I wanted to tell you. There were so many times when I was so close, but someone would always talk me out of it, and my dad would beat my ass if I ever went against the code," he laughed halfhearted.

Miroku rubbed his forehead, "That's another thing. What the hell is this code that everyone keeps talking about?" He asked his friend, his eyes scrunching together.

InuYasha let out a long sigh, "It's the rule that governs us. It's mostly to keep us safe, and keep you all, humans, from finding out that we exist, but brainiac over there, doesn't seem to care about the codes," InuYasha finished pointing at the direction Koga was located in.

"Hey mutt, why did you bring me back into the conversation," Koga hollered at him. "I haven't said one thing, yet you bring me into the discussion. I might as well go over there and beat the living sh –"

"All right," Ayame cut in. "Can you two please stop this," she asked pointing between them. "It's getting a little annoying," she shook her head, placing her arms over her midsection.

Miroku stared at Ayame. Not really knowing what to say to her now that he knew of their existence. 'Is she really a demon as well,' he wondered as he continued to look at her.

"Ask her," he heard InuYasha cut into his thoughts.

He turned to face his friend, and saw that he was pointing in Ayames' direction. "You know, it's better to find out from the source then some stupid third party," he barked out the last part, turning to face Koga.

"Why you," Koga huffed. "Why don't you come over here and say that dog turd," he replied pointing in front of him.

"Well maybe I would wolf, but it smells so much over here that getting any closer would just make me want to hurl," InuYasha shot back.

Ayame just scratched the side of her head, "Okay you two," she cut into their bickering once more. "I'm sorry I can't stay for the party, but Kagome and the girls are going home…so," she left off. She started her walk towards Koga.

Miroku turned to see InuYasha huff and throw his arms across his chest. His trademark move for when he was upset. "Nasty wolves stinkin' up the area," he heard InuYasha grumble to himself.

"You better shut up mutt," Koga shot back.

Miroku's eyes widened. 'Koga could hear him mutter that all the way over there,' he thought as he turned to face Koga.

Ayame pulled away from him, a small smile gracing her features. He saw her murmur something, but it was so quiet that he couldn't make out exactly what was said. Just that he heard InuYasha start to grumble once more.

She started to walk away from Koga then and caught Miroku's stare, "You riding with us," she asked with a smile on her face.

Miroku looked blankly up at her for a second, his eyes wide. He then schooled his features, "Umm, yea," he replied as he made to get up.

"We cool bro," he turned to face InuYasha.

InuYasha was a bit caught off guard by his friends' question, never thinking that he would be the one to ask that. He could only stare at his friend for a moment, so grateful that he had a friend like Miroku. He let a small smile touch his face, his chin turning down slightly, his cheeks lightly dusting, "Yeah man, we're cool," he replied, not wanting Miroku to see how touched he was by his friends' forgiveness.

Miroku only smiled at InuYasha, knowing the man way too much to not know that he was only trying to hide his feelings. "I'll be by your place tomorrow," Miroku called out before he left.

InuYasha only nodded his head, "Alight man."

"Aw I'm touched," Koga called cockily. "Who knew mutt face had a heart," he replied with his arms crossing over his chest.

"Why you," InuYasha replied as he made to get up. He crossed the room in a flash.

Koga seeing the other demon advance toward him got up as well. They moved so fast that to the untrained eye, a person would have missed it all.

The two demons were standing their ground just a foot away from the other. Neither one budging as they huffed at the other. "You got a problem," InuYasha began, hesitating only slightly. As soon as the other demon did something too far, he would pay.

"I could ask you the same thing," Koga shot back, standing just two inches taller then the man in front of him.

Blue fought for dominance against the gold, their anger clashing violently.

"Am I interrupting something?"

InuYasha and Koga turned to see a shorter woman standing in the doorway, her onyx hair in disarray around her shoulders.

Immediately the two men backed away from each other separating by a good twelve feet, before they turned back to the woman in the entry way.

InuYasha stared at her, his mouth hanging open as he watched her stand in the doorway.

"Lady Takahashi," Koga called out uneasily, "when did you get back here?" He asked rubbing his neck nervously with the palm of his hand.

"Oh," She shrugged out. "Right after InuYasha asked you if you had a problem," she mumbled out looking at her nails. "What are you two doing out of bed anyways?" She asked aloud as her hands went to her hips. She pointed at both of them, "Get back in bed, now," she ordered, her eyes stern.

InuYasha and Koga sheepishly turned to go back to their respected corners, 'When did Miroku and the wolf leave,' InuYasha wondered as he made it to his bed.

0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0

The door shut on Koga's teasing rant to InuYasha. Miroku could only shake his head back and forth when he thought how childish the two of them acted when they were together.

Ayame ran her hands through her hair, "I swear. Those two are going to kill themselves, before they are let out of the hospital tomorrow morning," she replied shaking her head back and forth.

Miroku chuckled at that. Seeing how those two acted when he was only in the room for about fifteen minutes. "You can say that again," he replied nodding his head.

Ayame let out a long breath, "So, how did everything go with Takahashi?"

"Fine I guess," he replied scratching the back of his head. "It's just I never thought I was so oblivious to every thing. I always considered myself pretty insightful," he submitted to her.

Ayame laughed at that, "Well there's a lot that people miss that is out of their control, you know," she asked him raising her head a tad to glance up at him.

Miroku's eyes widened. He knew that he should ask her now, he just had to know. "Ogawa, have you noticed anything strange," he asked, trying to seem unconcerned.

Ayame quirked her eyebrow, "Like what?"

Miroku bit his bottom lip, "Well I don't know…"

"Sakamoto," Ayame cut in, "what is it that you're really trying to ask me?"

Miroku let out a big puff of air, shaking his head back and forth at how stupid this would look if he was wrong. "Are you a demon," he asked, his voice rising just a bit towards the end when he thought about her reaction if he was mistaken. He closed his eyes to wait for the inevitable laugh that would ensue.

"Yeah."

His eyes quickly flashed open. He stayed put in his spot, "Really?" he asked again.

Her smile just turned up a bit, "Yes, Sakamoto."

Miroku was speechless, 'well that was easy,' he thought remembering to close his mouth. "But isn't there consequences to me knowing…." He thought aloud, not understanding why now, all of the sudden, everyone decided to come out of the closet… in a matter of speaking.

Ayame lightly nodded her head, "That is true, but…" she paused momentarily, letting out a small giggle. "I suppose it's useless to try and keep this from you any longer," she shrugged as if that explained it all away.

Miroku could only chuckle at her, "You guys are too much."
