Kagome woke up to her mother shaking her roughly, whispering harshly, “Kagome get up right now!”

 

Kagome woke up and looked around, her mom was looking at her like she had just come home with the police, oh and also she was in Inuyasha's lap. “What is it?”

 

“Get up now!” Kagome's mom quietly hissed at her daughter motioning for her to stand up.

 

Kagome tried to, but Inuyasha just wouldn't let go. “Mom I can't he won't let go.” Kagome whispered in defeat.

 

“What the hell happened here?” Mai (Kagome's mom) whispered heatedly at her daughter, in hopes that the hanyou holding her wouldn't wake up.

 

“We had pizza and watched a movie…” Kagome insisted as she looked around it was a clean with the exception of the coffee table with was covered in a pizza box, some soda cans, and a bag of chips.

 

“Why are you and Sango in those boys laps?!”

 

“Is it a crime?” Kagome quietly questioned with a glare.

 

“Under this roof, yes it is.” Mai insisted as she looked down at her daughter with a disapproving look. “What if Souta came home? What if I came in with a boyfriend?”

 

“Souta would make a gagging noise as he went up stairs or woke me up, and you would have kicked them out instead of cheating me like I through a party, and got wasted half dressed.” Kagome said as she looked over at Sango who was indeed in Miroku's arms, though she wasn't in his lap.

 

“Don't let me catch you two like this again or I will throw them out, and call the police if they don't leave.” Mai said as she stormed up to her room.

 

“She's only mad because that boyfriend of hers didn't ask her to come back with him to his house.” Inuyasha said as he pulled Kagome so she was leaning against him, and nuzzled the top of her head.

 

“You said it.” Kagome sighed as she turned in his grasp so she was straddling his lap and started nuzzling his chest with her forehead. “I can't wait to get out of here, for good.”

 

Inuyasha looked down at her affectionately as he rubbed her back. “It'll happen.”

 

Kagome smiled as she laid down and hugged him falling asleep.

“Kagome why can't you just listen to me?!” Her mom asked as she followed Kagome into the kitchen.

 

“Because I'm not going to kick my boyfriend and my friends out just because you want to bring your boyfriend home, and possibly do something that no amount of therapy would make ok!” Kagome yelled as she turned to look at her mom.

 

“Fine then I will.” Her mother snapped at her.

 

“If you do then I'm going too.”

 

“I can't believe you!” Mai yelled at her daughter as she slapped her.

 

Kagome looked at her mom with pure hate in her eyes, “You know Inuyasha was right I wouldn't put it past you to pay someone to kill me.”

 

“How, how…” Mai said backing away.

 

Kagome backed away saying, “Oh god you did pay that damned school to kill me and so did my friends parents.”

 

Inuyasha was behind Kagome with Miroku and Sango then and glared at Mai saying, “Oh this is just fucking perfect. They weren't going to commit mass murder on the whole school just the kids going to the camp because they couldn't get their act together.”

 

“How did you kids find out?” Mai asked as she backed up.

 

“It's amazing what a dream can tell a miko.” Kagome said as she stepped towards her mom.

 

“I guess it was passed on.” Mai said with a smile, “It's a shame, I would have trained you so you didn't end up like this you would have had a high sense of pride, and you would have looked down on your boyfriend, something that should have never been born.”

 

Inuyasha started growling at her as Miroku and Sango held him back.

 

“Well it looks like Sesshomaru will have to send over some one now.” Mai said with a grin at her daughter.

 

“You two aren't, because that would just be gross beyond reason, because you know I'm Inuyasha's girlfriend, and then it would just be weird, and eww.” Kagome said as her mom backed up to the counter.

 

“Oh no I'm in love with someone else.” Mai said as she ran out of the kitchen through the sliding glass door.

 

Kagome went to run after but was stopped by Inuyasha.

 

“Let it go, we need to do something about it before any thing happens.” Inuyasha said as they walked back into the living room.

 

“But what the hell are we going to do?” Kagome questioned.

 

“The one thing I hoped I would never have to do…” Inuyasha said walking over to Kagome's phone and dialed. “Hey Sesshomaru it's Inuyasha…Yeah, but under one condition…that's right…yeah we're at Kagome's…we'll be waiting for the car here.”

 

“Please tell me you didn't.” Kagome said as she grabbed Inuyasha's arm.

 

“I did.”

 

“Why?! Sango, Miroku tell him he's insane for even suggesting it!” Kagome pleaded with them.

 

“Kagome it does seem the like the only way.” Miroku said with his head bowed.

 

“They're right.” Sango agreed.

 

Kagome turned backed to Inuyasha saying, “Inuyasha you are not going to take that job.”

 

“Not just me, all of us.” Inuyasha said pulling Kagome to him after she punched him in the chest.

 

“So we're all going to have to be Sesshomaru's personal assassins?” Miroku said pulling Sango to his side.

 

“Until the day we die…” Inuyasha said as he let Kagome pound on his chest so hard he was sure she was hurting her fists more then him.

 

“Inuyasha you jerk, there has to be another way.” Kagome whispered at him.

 

“Me and Sango will be waiting outside.” Miroku said as he led Sango outside.

 

Inuyasha just stood there and let her take it out on him. “I'm sorry Kagome, but not even the cops could stop my brother, he's the most powerful demon since my father died.”

 

“Inuyasha, how can we just jump to the last resort?” Kagome asked as she stopped hitting Inuyasha and just leaned her head on him.

 

“Because it's the only one in this situation.” Inuyasha said as he rested his head on hers.

 

“Inuyasha, Kagome the cars here.” Miroku said from the door.
