Fallen Angel

 

She was bathed in blood making her wings red.

Her halo turned black, but

At least it didn't break, and the points didn't turn towards the sky like his.

Her soul some how stayed pure.

Though he helped her keep it that way

He still felt selfish,

Because even if she could go back to heaven

He wouldn't let her,

He loved her too much to let her go.

~TWO YEARS LATER~

 

It has been two years since the gang became Sesshomaru's assassins. One of the conditions was the kids that were going to be killed were spared, so everyone lived. This was their last year in high school, Inuyasha and Kagome had moved into an apartment together, and Sango and Miroku moved in down the street, both were in walking distance to School for the Bad. Inuyasha was still head punk of the school. Kagome was still his girlfriend. Miroku was still second in command. Sango was still his girlfriend. They didn't change too much though they had become even more painfully aware how evil the world truly was.

 

Inuyasha looked down at Kagome who was lying on top of him in the clothes she was in yesterday. They had a job last night and she was too tired to change into her pajamas. She looked like an angel in his eyes. She had been nicknamed fallen angel. Inuyasha had helped with that, Sesshomaru insisted on them having names to call each other while on a job. He hadn't told her why but he actually put thought into it. Though no one would ever find out why he had given Kagome that name. The alarm next to the bed went off waking Kagome who reached over slamming her hand down on the button.

 

“Damn Sesshomaru…” Kagome groaned as she moved off Inuyasha.

 

“Yeah, of coarse a job doesn't get you out of school the next day Inuyasha so get over it.” Inuyasha said mockingly as he sat up.

 

“Inuyasha, why didn't you wake us up earlier?” Kagome asked as she picked up the clock making sure it was right.

 

“You sat on the couch and fell asleep, I was thinking about telling Sesshomaru you were sick.” Inuyasha said as Kagome got up and walked out of the room stretching her back arched.

“Inuyasha how's it going?” Miroku said as Inuyasha walked up, and Kagome went off with Sango.

 

“Ok, that job took a lot out of Kagome though.” Inuyasha said with a shrug as they started in the school.

 

“Sesshomaru had me and Sango doing one for one of his old friends, but that was rather easy, turns out he wanted us to clean all his weapons and run a few errands.” Miroku looked at Inuyasha who was looking at him like he was insane and said, “It was an old dude, were talking the nice old man down the street that gives you a dollar for watering his lawn.”

 

“I see.” Inuyasha said with a nod. “You got an easy job, and me and Kagome spend most of the night running away from a very unhappy bird demon.”

 

“Well you and Kagome did almost attack each other in the middle of his office.” Miroku said as they went to their lockers. “Where are the girls?”

 

“Give it a minute.” Inuyasha said as he put up five fingers putting them down one at a time. When he put down the last finger Inuyasha ducked pulling Miroku down with him as a book hit lockers were Miroku's head was.

 

“Sorry Miroku.” Sango said as she walked up, and the guys got up.

 

“Where's Kagome?” Inuyasha asked as he looked around. “I thought she was with you.”

 

Next thing that was heard throughout the school was a loud scream.

 

“I almost feel bad for Kouga.” Miroku said as Kagome walked up to them.

 

“Almost.” Inuyasha said in agreement.

 

“Hi guys.” Kagome said with a smile.

 

“Is Kouga going to be ok some time today?” Inuyasha asked with a smirk.

 

“Well the last time I saw him he was crawling towards the nurse.” Kagome said with a shrug.

 

“Well it's time for class.” Sango said as she looked at her watch.

 

They nodded as they headed to class. Once they got there they were stopped at the door by the teacher. “Go to the office.”

 

Kagome went to ask why, but stopped and followed Inuyasha and the rest of them to the office. Once they walked in they saw Sesshomaru.

 

“You guys are to go home and wait till I call you.” Sesshomaru said as he looked up from the conversation he was having with the principal. “And please don't go anywhere but home this time.”

 

Inuyasha and Kagome nodded at the last statement, and Miroku and Sango grinned at their friends.

Once at home Kagome plopped down on the couch searching for the remote in-between the cushions.

 

“Kagome it's under the couch.” Inuyasha said as he walked into the kitchen.

 

Kagome rolled on to her stomach and looked under the couch. “It is not.”

 

“That's where I left it.” Inuyasha said as he raised an amused eyebrow as Kagome some what did a headstand the lower half of her body still lying on the couch as she looked under the couch.

 

“It's not here.” Kagome said as she moved so she was lying on the couch, and then rolled off it. “Inuyasha what did you do with it?”

 

“I told you it's under the couch.” Inuyasha said as he sat down on said couch as Kagome continued to look under it.

 

Kagome crawled over to the big comfy chair that she would sit in like a cat and reached under. “Found it.” Kagome after she pulled it out dropped it with a scream as she ran and jump on the couch next to Inuyasha. “Big bug!”

 

“Kagome this is the saddest thing in the world.” Inuyasha said as he got up and looked at the cricket.

 

“It's huge Inuyasha!” Kagome whined at him. “Get rid of it!”

 

“Kagome this is sad beyond reason it truly is.” Inuyasha said as he picked up the magazine on the table and scooped the cricket on it then walked over to the door throwing the cricket out and into the rocks.

 

“Don't give me that look Inuyasha that thing was a demon cricket there's no way a normal one can get that big.” Kagome whined at him.

 

Inuyasha walked over to her and picked her up and sat down placing her in his lap. “Kagome it was a bug not a demon a bug. You've held your own against me after you just down right defy me, but you're afraid of a bug.”

 

Kagome turned so she was straddling his lap. “It was a bug. You are not a bug.”

 

“I can't believe this my bitch can't get rid of a bug, but she can hold her own against me when I'm with in an inch from attacking her. Hell Kagome you've even attacked me but you can't kill a bug.” Inuyasha said as she growled at him for the name. Just then the phone rang cutting off anything Kagome wanted to say as Inuyasha answered the phone. “Yes Sesshomaru?”

 

“Tonight at ten till the place closes your job is at my newest club, I want you there to make sure no one tries to take it over or commit mass murder on my clients.” Sesshomaru said ignoring the growl that he knew was not for him.

 

“We do get to have a little fun right?” Inuyasha said as he smirked at Kagome as she obediently stopped growling at him.

 

“Yes you can have some fun, but that better insure that nothing too bad happens that means no one even gets a scratch caused by one of my enemies, other wise you won't be happy with the results.”

 

“I understand not even a scratch will appear on one of your clients, big shot or not.” Inuyasha said as Kagome went to move off his lap, but he stopped her as he put his hand on her shoulder keeping her still as he said goodbye to Sesshomaru. “Where are you going?”

 

“To get the remote.” Kagome said with a grin.

 

“You need help.” Inuyasha said as he pulled her closer capturing her lips with his. When they pulled apart Kagome's breathing was a little heavy and she had a slight blush.

 

“That's some help.” Kagome said as she leaned against him.

 

“Our job is at his new club, and not a scratch is to come upon one of the guest though.” Inuyasha said as he lazily drew circles on her back with his claws, causing Kagome to shiver every once in awhile.

 

“What time?”

 

“Ten so you can get some sleep.” Inuyasha said as he lightly growled lulling her to sleep.
