Inuyasha turned over for about the fifteenth time. She needs to go to sleep before I go insane from all that pacing. Inuyasha got up and walked into the room next to his and saw Kagome pacing back and forth. “Kagome calm down and go to bed.” Inuyasha said with a hint of a growl. Kagome looked up at him with worried eyes.

 

“Come on, tell me what's wrong.” Inuyasha said his tone getting softer as he led her over to the bed.

 

“I don't know…It's just that, he's going to come after us. I don't want anything to happen.” Kagome said as she sat down.

 

“We'll be fine; it'll all work out in the end I promise.” Inuyasha said with a slight smile.

 

“But…”

 

“It'll be fine, get some rest we have a lot to do in the morning.” Inuyasha said as Kagome laid down with a yawn.

 

“See you in the morning then.” Kagome said as Inuyasha left.

 

“Night.”

“Inuyasha it's too early…” Kagome whined as she followed him down stairs only to see that Miroku and Sango were sleeping on the couch. “Look even they're still tired.”

 

“I haven't woken them up, they slept on the couch.” Inuyasha said as they walked in the kitchen.

 

“Then why must I be awake?” Kagome asked as she sat down at the table catching a glace at the microwave clock, it was six in the morning.

 

“Because, we have something to do in a while.” Inuyasha said as he took the seat across from her.

 

“What?” Kagome yawned as she stretched.

 

“I need to go down to the office Kaede works in, and I now run, I'd like you to join me.” Inuyasha said leaning back. “Then I need to talk to some of my gang.”

 

“Oh…” Kagome said nodding. “But where exactly is all this?”

 

“The same place, my gang works there, some do other things and only report there, but whatever…” Inuyasha said standing up.

 

“Where are you going?” Kagome asked as she stood up.

 

“To get changed, Kaede said something about dressing half decent. She said there are some clothes for you in your closet.” Inuyasha said as they headed back upstairs.

 

“Then what was the point of coming down stair?” Kagome asked as they got to the top of the stairs.

 

“So you'd be more awake.” Inuyasha said. “You wouldn't do anything if I had only told you to get up and get dressed.”

 

“You know me too well.” Kagome said as they walked into their rooms.

“Inuyasha, it's nice to now you can listen to me.” Kaede said as she led him and Kagome into the elevator.

 

“Whatever.” Inuyasha snorted. He was wearing black dress pants, a red T-shirt with a black button up top (unbuttoned).

 

“If only I could get you to pull your hair back…” Kaede said as they got out of the elevator on the tenth floor, and up to a large office.

 

“I tried…” Kagome said shaking her head. Kagome was in some nice black pants, a red tank top, and her hair was pulled back in a low ponytail.

 

“And believe me, if she can't get me to do it, you can't.” Inuyasha said as he and Kagome took a seat in two chairs, and Kaede sat behind a large oak desk.

 

“I figured.” Kaede said with a slight smile at the two.

 

“So why am I here?” Inuyasha asked.

 

“And at such an ungodly hour.” Kagome yawned.

 

Kaede laughed a little at the poor girl but went on, “I wanted to get everything in order about this business.”

 

“Ok then. You'll still be running this place, and I'll show up when you need me to.” Inuyasha said looking bored.

 

“So basically what I said?” Kaede said glaring at the boy in front of her.

 

“I guess so; I wasn't really listening last night.” Inuyasha said with a shrug.

 

“Um, Kaede I have a question.” Kagome said.

 

“Yes?” Kaede acknowledged her.

 

“What about school?” Kagome asked.

 

“True, its senior year, but I'm sure you can't go back to your school.” Kaede said thoughtfully. “I guess you guys can be taught by the teacher here. She teaches all the kids that Inuyasha brought in.”

 

“Now that that's taken care of.” Inuyasha said standing up. “Me and Kagome have to go talk to some of my friends.”

 

“Right, and also show up tomorrow like you were going to school, and don't be late!” Kaede said making sure they heard her as they walked away.

 

“I thought we'd get out of it.” Inuyasha said as they got in the elevator and went down to the third floor

 

“No such luck.” Kagome said leaning against the back wall, only to have to stand up again and follow Inuyasha.

 

“So Inuyasha, Kaede actually got you into something half decent.” Amy said as she stopped in front of him.

 

“Yeah I know I know.” Inuyasha said looking around. “Where's Kouga?”

 

“He's sleeping on his couch in his office, why?” Amy asked as she shifted the papers in her arms.

 

“What are you doing?” Inuyasha asked looking at the papers.

 

“A favor for Kaede.” Amy said with a smile.

 

“I see, well I'm going to go hurt Kouga then leave.” Inuyasha said as he walked down the hall.

 

“See ya Amy.” Kagome said as she followed Inuyasha down the hall and into an office.

 

“Kouga get up, and please tell me you did what I asked.” Inuyasha growled when he walked in.

 

“I'm up!” Kouga yelled before looking at Inuyasha and registering what he said. “Yeah I did what you asked, and so far Sesshomaru doesn't seem to care, and has gone about his business.”

 

“Which mean one of two things, he's either plotting, or just plainly doesn't care.” Inuyasha said shaking his head.

 

“What are the odds that he just doesn't care?” Kagome asked from beside him.

 

“Slim.”
