Bonding
Rin McCloud sat in silent defiance as she watched her master pace back and forth before a terrified guard.
"What do ye mean the boy has escaped?" The dark haired man asked menacingly.
The guard stiffened his backbone a little. "The boy escaped into MacEnroy lands Laird Naraku, but we have spies on the inside."
Naraku was furious that little bastard was always a thorn in his side. "Get him back here before we have a clan war on our hands if ye don't, I will personally enjoy killing yer family verra slowly!"
Rin watched as the man nodded and left to carry out his orders. When Naraku turned around she pretend as if she weren't listening her eyes went blank, and her body went stiff.
"It seems that yer little bastard has escaped my dear it seems that he's running straight for his kin." Naraku said coldly. "Ye wouldn't have anything with his sudden interest with that side of his family would ye?"
Rin inwardly cringed when Naraku reached out and touched her shoulder. "Maybe he is finally safe from yer cruelties." She whispered. "He maybe running to a real mon."
Grasping her chin painfully between his fingers he sneered. "I'AM A REAL MON YE SLUT!"
"A real mon does nay force himself on innocent little boys." She replied calmly. "Ye are a sick mon Naraku." Her eyes glittered coldly. "One day I will get the pleasure of watching ye die verra slowly."
Naraku hand fisted at her word in the beginning but the time she was done speaking he had drawn back his fist.
Rin looked at him her eyes remained cold as ice. "What are ye going to do?" She asked. "Hit me?" Laughing a bit sardonically she abruptly halted her laughter. "Tis cowardly for a mon of you size to hit a woman as smile as me."
The sound of flesh meeting flesh was the only sound that followed. Rin's face turn with the force he applied with his fist. "I' am nay a coward."
Rin spit out the sudden salty flavoring that filled her mouth. "Are ye sure, because it sounds as if ye are trying to convince yerself of that?"
Her eyes slightly widen in alarm when Naraku reached for her she knew she was in for a long night and one hell of a beating.

"Where did the lad come from?" Seemed to be the question of the day because no one held the answer except for the boy who remained unconscious in one of the many bedrooms in the Keep Glenglarren.
***
Inuyasha looked up from the boy's pale face to the opening door and was surprised to see his wife. He had ordered Kagome to go to sleep sometime ago after she had operated on the boy, cleaning his wounds and stitching them.
"What are ye doing here lass I thought I told ye to go to bed?" Inuyasha asked a note of exhaustion in his voice.
Kagome could see the utter weariness in her husband's eyes and she heard it in his voice. "I've slept enough husband I think it's ye who needs rest."
Inuyasha could tell she wouldn't take no for an answer, but he tried anyway. "Nay lass, I'll stay with the lad."
Glaring at her disobedient husband Kagome stalked up to him and grabbed him by his ear. "Go to bed ye moron."
Inuyasha looked up at Kagome and smiled slightly when he saw the way her brown eyes sparkled with her fury. "Ye look beautiful when yer angry lass."
"Excuse m-?" Kagome's question was cut short when Inuyasha stood and pressed his lips to hers kissing her gently while coaxing her lips apart by nibbling on her bottom lip.
Kagome didn't complain in fact she had rather liked her husband's kisses. It was that other thing that bothered her.
She gave in completely letting him take control of her mouth. Their tongues battled for dominance as they rasped against each other. Kagome thought she'd swoon from how hot it had suddenly gotten wrapping her arms around Inuyasha's neck they toppled to the floor land with an *oof*.
The room was silent for a moment until it was broken by the sound of Kagome's muffled laughter. "Inuyasha, I think yer crushing me."
To say that he was shocked would have been an understatement. "Lass, why aren't ye yelling and cursin' me to the devil?"
Kagome looked at her husband dumbfounded even though she knew just what he was talking about. "Why would a lass like me ever do something like that?" She asked innocently.
Inuyasha caught the hint of sarcasm and smiled. "So ye don't mind my kisses then?"
Blushing slightly Kagome nodded. "Nay, I don't mind them so much."
Inuyasha leaned down and lazily kissed her lips. "That's good it must mean that we're becoming something in this relationship of ours." He said as he stood.
Kagome nodded once she was on her feet she stuck her hand out. "Friends?"
Inuyasha looked down at his wife's hand, before clasping it in a firm handshake. "Aye, friends."

Sango had spent most of her day exploring Glenglarren, she had helped Kagome with the boy but had left sometime ago to look around.
Making her way out in the gardens Sango sighed at the sheer beauty of them. "Oh this is so beautiful."
"Aye child that they are."
Sango turned around and spotted and elderly man and smiled politely. "Hello sir."
The old man was hunched over slightly, wore a brown worn cloak, and walked with a staff. "Just call me Jaken lass."
"Alright then, call me Sango."
"Yer the girl who came here from the Convent with Inuyasha's bride, Kagome, right?" Jaken asked.
"Aye tis me."
They sat in silence for a few minutes and watched as children ran through the garden one in particular caught Sango's eye.
"Who is she?" Sango pointed toward a small red headed girl who sat smiling as she played with a butterfly.
Jaken peeped the little girl. "Ah, she's Miroku's daughter Destiny." He sighed. "Miroku is a widower ye see, his wife, Maggie died some three years back when we were hit with Influenza here at Glenglarren."
Sango soaked this information up like a sponge. "His wife? She's dead?"
"Aye lass weren't ye listening?"
All of the sudden Sango felt really bad. "All this time I thought his wife was alive, and that he was just chasing after me for some ass."
Jaken rolled his eyes. "Young people these days." He laughed. "Aren't to much different from the one's in my day, but I'll save that story for another time lass it seems that it's time for an old mon's nap."
Sango helped Jaken up on his feet and watched him go still trying to process the information she had gathered.

Sesshomaru didn't much like this idea leaving the keep, but he just had this nagging feeling that he really need to go and reclaim those memories lost.
It had almost been a full 4 years since he had been attacked and beaten within an inch of his life most of the wounds had healed and left scar but other hadn't most particularly was the one on his mind after the attack he had suffered from memory loss. He couldn't remember a damn thing about the time in between when he last left Glenglarren, which was when his parents were alive, and the attack.
So now he had this huge blank in his mind that needed to be solved now more than ever seeing that he was only days a away from tying the knot.
Kagura McCloud was very beautiful, and very fulsome just the kind of woman he was used to but something about her left him cold, left him feeling a little troubled when he looked at her. Their marriage had been arranged; it was not a love match, but one that would be for gain and heirs only since Inuyasha had loudly voiced not wanting to be his heir.
His younger half brother had to be one of the most pig-headed men he knew, but he had to give him credit, he did end the feuding even if it did mean marriage to a Murray it's not like he could complain after all he didn't have to share her been, and what a cold bed it must be with coming from a Convent and all.
So lost in thought Sesshomaru was surprised when the roadway he had been traveling on was blocked off.
He looked up only to spot a man astride a horse taking a closer look her caught a glimpse of the crest emblem on the mon's ring.
"Well if it is Kouga." Sesshomaru murmured. "Where are yer wolves?"
Kouga smiled at the Glenglarren Laird. "They are all around us, but there is no reason to fear are friend nay foe, and ye are my brother's, brother are ye not?"
Sesshomaru nodded. "A storms abrewin'." He called out. "Will ye offer me shelter or leave out in the rain?"
Kouga smiled. "Aye, lets make haste my Keep isnae far tis just over this hill."
Aye then let us go."

"It seems that we both have a bone to pick with the MacEnroy Clan, Naraku."
Naraku grimaced a bit. "Aye it seems we do but right now I have a bigger problem that concerns the Laird of Glenglarren's son."
Hojo MacFingal had heard of the laird of Dunnbea's weird perversions such as lusting after young lads, and he himself had seen MacEnroy's son and knew that the lad was a pretty youth."
"What it wrong with him?" Hojo asked casually.
"He has runaway most likely to seek out his father." Naraku paused. "But I have seen to it that he will nay get that far."
The strange angelic looking man dressed in forbidden Tartan smiled coldly. "Ahh, yes that lovely young woman who bared his child." His smiled disappeared. "The child who ran away, right?"
Naraku's eyes narrowed. "Yes, why?"
"Have ye even considered the kind of trouble that shall for upon his arrival on MacEnroy soil?"
"Aye, I have." Naraku paused as he took a sip of wine. "The boy will never reach MacEnroy lands, I have it covered."
MacFingal just nodded as he paced the room.
"So Hojo, what problems do ye have with the MacEnroys?"
"Inuyasha stole my bride." Hojo grunted. "He has stolen numerous thing from me."
Naraku watched as the younger man seethed a bit when Hojo took a deep breath and faced him Naraku smiled pleasantly. "Done?"
"Aye."
"Good I guess we-." The entrance of the man he had sent after Ciaran cut off Naraku reply. "Yer back Gregor…and the boy?"
The warrior shook his head indicating his failure to retrieve the boy. "I did injure him though in order to slow him."
"But it didnae work!" Naraku yelled when he regain his composure he signaled for his men standing near the doorway. "Guard I want ye to seize this man family have his wife and daughter strung up in the sparring room naked and let any man ride them to their heart content and as for his son…bring him to me.
Gregor paled. "Please Milord punish me! My family did not! And my children are just wee bairns! Please take yer fury out on me!"
Naraku smiled coldly. "I' am you fool." He signaled to another guard. "Tie him up and make him watch as his wife and daughter are repeated violated."
Gregor looked into Naraku cold hard eyes. "There blood is one yer hands now."
"No the blood of yer family is on yer own hands."
When the doors shut Naraku turned back to Hojo. "Now that that is over."
Hojo smiled. "Ye are a cold mon." He paused. "Just the kind of mon I do business with."
Naraku held out his hand both men shook hand and plotted up coming schemes again the MacEnroy Clan.

It was time for the evening meal but Sango decided not to join the rest for supper. She was deeply lost in her own thoughts, pleasant thoughts of now and the future, and dark thoughts about the past.
Sango had never been one to be fully open about her to anyone expect for Kagome and Mother Superior.
But then again who would want to be so open about being a McCloud, the McCloud's were a traitorous bunch that would if necessary turns against their own. Several years ago before Sango had come to the Convent she lived happily with in the walls of Dunncraig Keep with her mother and father who were at the moment the Laird and Lady McCloud of Dunncraig.
During the time that her parents ruled it had been a happy place for all who lived there, but there was a shadow lurking around the corner.
Hojo McCloud was her father's younger brother, and he had some pretty twisted notions about how things should be. Sango closed her eyes as the memories assaulted her minds eye.
It was so real she could see it all the fire, the death, the rape. Sango stood willing herself not to relive the past the last time that happened she didn't talk for months.
When her belly growled she decided to make her way into the Keep. Plastering on a happy smile she decided that the past was the past and that everything was fine now there was no way the Hojo could ever find her here, but oh was she wrong.
