InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Scottish Deceit ❯ Chapter 5
Looks like I won't be finishing this story by the end of break, because for one I didn't expect to have a job, and two, like most jobs it's taking everything outta me. I will finish though and I will try to post these last 3 revised chapters by Saturday. The newest chapter should go up by Tuesday if all goes according to plan.

Kagome was thankful for the speed in which Inuyasha had summoned an escort for Sango and herself she waited patiently as her husband took his time conversing with their escort.
Inuyasha had summoned for his manservant Myoga, but instead had been graced with none other than his mistress's appearance.
Inuyasha stared into Kikyo rather cold blue eyes and grimaced. "What are ye doing here woman?"
Kikyo was slightly miffed that he wasn't exactly happy to see her but she his her displeasure. "I'm here to size up me competition." She said all too sweetly.
He knew all too well what her words meant. "She's my wife Kikyo not some whore like yerself clamoring for my attentions."
Before Kikyo spoke a rather unpleasant looking Kagome and an upset looking Sango interrupted them.
"Is there something we can do for ye?" Kikyo hissed.
Kagome turned from her husband to whom she about to speak, toward a woman who could quite possible be her carbon copy.
"I was just speaking to my husband if ye don't-." Kagome began to trail off as she looked closely at the voluptuous woman before her. "Mind."
Kikyo laughed haughtily. "Weelsht, Inuyasha." She crowed. "Yer wife looks a mite like me." She claimed in her fit of laughter. "Yer mistress."
She had heard enough it wasn't like she wasn't jealous enough. "I want a room." She said quietly.
When no one made a point to move and aid her in her tiny request she saw red. Turning to her husband she decided she was done playing the-meekly-offend-I-just-left-a-Convent-wife.
"I WANT A ROOM NOW DAMNIT!" She bellowed.
And that she noted with satisfaction got people moving and in no time she had her room she had so effectively requested.
"Ye cursed." Inuyasha said as he stirred the women towards their sleeping quarters. "Ye curse at me."
Kagome was glad to see that his mind was now on her outburst and not on that cursed look-alike Kikyo.
"Well I was getting yer attention by being quiet now was I?" She asked as the reached their rooms.
Inuyasha smirked a bit. "I guess not, but I would advise less use of such language in the future."
Kagome rolled her eye. "I bet ye allow yer leman to speak as crude I she wants."
Grabbing her bye her elbow her stirred her and a some want dazed Sango into the room. Once they were in he sneered at his wife. "She can speak however she wants because she is nay my wife, ye are."
"And now ye chose to remember now that ye do nay have those huge mountains in yer face." She screeched.
Inuyasha was furious but more so he was amused, because his little wife was furious. "I was nay staring at her…Mountains."
"Deny all ye want I know what I saw."
"Whatever woman." Inuyasha grumbled as he exited the room. "Dinner will be brought to you so will hot water."
Soon after the door closed Kagome felt faint. "Sango is it hot in here to you?" She had barely finished her sentence before everything when black. The last thing she heard before dark ness decended upon her was the sound of Sango's terrified wail.
***
Kagome awoke to the sound of Sango and Inuyasha's voices speaking in hushed tones.
"She's just nay eating enough Inuyasha tis all; there is nothing wrong with her." Sango said irritably. "Anyway tis not but a guess, but I'm sure ye'd be pretty freaked if ye came to a strange place, and met a complete stranger who like just like ye…And found out minutes later that she was yer husbands leman."
He didn't want to admit that Sango was right, but she was. "I can see where yer coming from. Yet he still could shake the feeling that there was something else wrong.
Inuyasha looked at Kagome once again before speaking to Sango. "Stay with her, I have important matters that need tending to."
Sango watched as Inuyasha retreated from the room closing the door softly behind him. Sango wasn't too surprise when she spied Kagome peeking out from under her eyelids.
"It's okay he's gone." Sango murmured.
Kagome opened her eyes all the way and stared at Sango. "How did ye ken I was awake."
Sango shrugged. "I saw yer lashes twitch a couple of time's so I assumed."
Kagome stood and moved toward Sango. "Great assumption."
"Yeah, more than I can say about Miroku."
Kagome's lips twisted thoughtfully. "Just because he has a bairn doesn't make him a liar or a bad mon Sango."
"Ye maybe right, but I need time." Sango replied. "I need to sort out my feelings."

Miroku sighed wearily after he put Destiny to bed he retreated to his room for a smoke after striking a match he lit his pipe, and settled into deep thought.
It had been three years since his beloved wife Maggie had died. Three winters ago the people of the Clan MacEnroy were hit hard with a case of Influenza killing many; Among the list of the dead were Lord and Lady MacEnroy, and of course his beloved Maggie.
Maggie had been a kitchen maid who worked at the keep when Miroku had first met her. She was a shy lass, but very beautiful with her abundance of red hair, and captivating green eyes. Many had claimed that she was natural born survivor living through the death of her clan, and the dodging certain death not once but twice.
She truly was an incredible woman one that he had begun to believe was indestructible until she was taken from him just like that.
Miroku had been away visiting an old friend and had brought his 2 year-old daughter along for the journey when the Influenza had spread within the Keep of Glenglarren. Nearly a week after the death of his wife he had received word of the tragedies happening back home.
He had returned home leaving his daughter behind to keep her safe from harm until everything could be fixed and the illness banished.
For the next six weeks the survivors of the illness were working around the clock burring victims, and restoring Glenglarren to it former glory. Miroku remember the blood, sweat, and tears everyone had shed.
Shortly after all the restorations occurred the new lord of Glenglarren arrived. Sesshomaru MacEnroy the eldest son of the original lord had left some ten years ago to fight in the wars that were sweeping through Scotland. Now that he had returned he appeared to be a changed man one who had seen more than he should have.
Sesshomaru was no longer the same man he was when he left. The old Sesshomaru had been a man would never hesitate to laugh, and make merry; but then again everyone had changed.
Miroku was interrupted from his musing when he heard a floorboard creak under the body weight of an intruder. Making a quick grab for his sword Miroku pointed it in the direction of the sound.
Big tears welled up in the small five year-olds eyes as her gaze traveled from the sharpened instrument so close to her throat, to her papa who held it. "Papa?" Desi asked wide and teary eyed. "Wot did I do?"
Miroku sighed when he realized it was just Desi. Setting aside his sword, Miroku swept his daughter up in his arms as if she weighed nothing. "I'm sorry sweetie, ye just scared me that tis all." He reassured.
Desi rubbed her head against her father chest cause her red curls to bounce with her movement. "I'm sorry papa."
Miroku smiled as he kissed her forehead. "It okay sweetie." He said as he took her to her room and tucked her back into her bed. "Ye didn't kill anything, didn't nothin' die."
Kissing his daughter on the forehead once more Miroku then turned to seek his own bed still being haunted by the past.
As he laid in his bed his thought begin to take different direction. "Sango."He said aloud.
"She is a beautiful lass." He thought. "Very vibrant, and outspoken too." He wanted her and that was more than could say about a lot of women he had encountered since the death of the only woman he thought he'd ever love.
He smiled slightly as he thought of Sango thinking of ways to woo her; completely forgetting the look of shock she displayed when she had learn that he was a father.
***
It was early in the morning and the keep was bursting with activity. Kitchen hands work hastily to prepare for the feast and festivities that would take place this night, a welcome home feast.
Tonight would be a night that the men would be allowed to slack off, drink, and make merry. Inuyasha's only hope was that Kikyo would choose to leave their past in the past, seeing that he had a wife now.
Inuyasha grimaced when he realized the he himself thought that his wife looked quiet a bit like his former mistress Kikyo, but had dismissed the notion when he realized they were nothing alike.
What worried him though was how would Kagome respond to Kikyo, his leman (old leman) living under the same roof as she, and would she believe for a second that he was not carrying on with her. Inuyasha rolled his eyes as he continued to fall deeper into to thought.
Kagome would probably use Kikyo as an excuse as to why she won't share his bed. Inuyasha wasn't too worried about that though, because Kagome was tied to him now whether she liked it or not, and sooner or later he would bed her again, and show her that not all sexual encounters they'll surely have will be nothing like their first. Her first.
Thankful to be interrupted from his thoughts when he heard the loud screams of children in fear coming from the courtyard Inuyasha rushed to the scene unaware that life was truly about to change at Glenglarren.
***
Kagome stretched the stiffness out of her body as the rays of sunlight poked through the heavy curtain that covered her window. Stepping out of bed she came to the conclusion that she had just awakened from the best slumber to date.
Walking toward the window Kagome paused in her ministrations when her door burst open to reveal a very disheveled looking Sango.
Sango smirked a little as she climbed into Kagome's empty bed. "These beds are verra heavenly don't ye think, Kagome?"
Kagome resumed pulling back the curtains gasping at the full blast of sunshine she received. "Sango it has to be well after noon, look outside!"
Sango groaned as she burrowed deeper into the covers. "I don't wanna." She
whined.
Kagome huffed as she grabbed a hold of Sango's foot trying to raise her. "Get. Up. Ye. Lazy. Sack. Of-." Kagome gave one last forceful tug managing to pull Sango off the bed and onto the floor.
When Sango hit the ground she woke up instantly growling at Kagome as she chased her around the room. "Get back here ye-."
Both women stopped when they heard a loud cough from the doorway. Sango turned around to snap, but shut her mouth when she saw who it was.
"Mornin' ladies, I trust ye slept well."
Miroku stood in the door appearing refreshed, and very handsome with the clan tartan thrown carelessly about his shoulders.
Sango felt her heart pound at the mere sight of him, but refrained from showing any emotion.
Kagome smiled engagingly. "Aye, we slept well these beds are verra comfy."
"I'm glad to hear." Miroku said as he watch Sango walk around the room avoiding his gaze.
The room fell uncomfortably silent causing Sango to shift her weight from foot to foot. Finally when the silence became unbearable Kagome exited the room claiming she had to relieve herself.
Sango made a move to follow only to find the doorway block by Miroku's hard frame.
"Move." She gritted out between clenched teeth.
Miroku smirked. "Make me."
Sango rolled her eyes. "Tis childish."
Miroku still stood in the doorway ignoring her in a childish fashion he had picked up from his own wee one.
Minutes ticked away leaving Sango extremely bored, and vexed that Kagome had left her alone with Miroku for sometime now.
"I need to go to my room and change Miroku."
Stepping fully into the room and closing the door behind him Miroku walked toward Sango with intent gleaming in his eyes. "I see nothin' wrong with what yer wearing."
Sango panicked slightly when she felt the bed against the back of her legs she looked at Miroku and saw the intent in his eyes, and smiled coyly as she pushed her body against his.
"Is this what ye want?" She whispered.
Miroku smirked against her collar bone. "Aye lass, Aye."
Sango growled in contempt when she slammed her knee into his groin causing him to buckle before her coughing and cursing. "Why in the bloody 'ell did ye do that fer lass?"
Rolling her eyes as she exited the room she through words of warning over her shoulder. "Don't ye ever so much as look at me again or ye'll be in much more pain then that."
With that Sango made swift exit heading across the hall toward her room to dress for today events.
When she made it to her room she was unaware of the tears that flowed freely down her cheek as she dressed.
***
Upon reaching the courtyard, Inuyasha had found a group of children huddling in fear pointing in the direction of a large fox that stood in a protective stance over an obviously unconscious boy.
Inuyasha walked toward the fox signaling for the children to go get help. The fox growled more as Inuyasha got closer but ceased his growling when the boy groaned.
Inuyasha watched in astonishment as the fox checked the boy and licked his face.
"Are ye alright lad?" Inuyasha called out.
The boy stirred at the sound of a voice. "Aye." He called out weakly. "But I'm wounded."
Inuyasha approached the boy who was trying to calm the fox as best he could. "Where are ye wounded lad?"
"My leg and side sir." The boy replied as the voice became close and stronger.
Inuyasha kneeled beside the boy and checked both of his wounds, his eyes widen at the damage that was done to a boy so young. Who would lash out and attack a child like this? From the looks of it, this act of cruelty was done by someone one was truly skilled with a blade.
"Ye've lost a lot of blood lad."
The boy snorted. "Donna tell me wot I've lost sir, cause I already ken it." He opened his eyes with much effort. "Tell me if ye can help me because if ye can't than leave me here to die."
Inuyasha felt as if he were drowning those cold amber depths, and found himself slightly surprised to be staring at child who could very well match the description of he or his brother. Deciding to analyze that fact later he lifted the lad gently, careful not cause him any futher pain, but he wasn't too surprised when the boy cried out than swooned.
Adjusting the boy in his arms slightly Inuyasha paused when a flash of silver caught his eye.
His breath caught and his hung slightly ajar when he saw it was the other piece of his family jewel that had half of their crest engraved in it. There were only two pieces. There was his piece which lay around his neck, and then there was Sesshomaru's piece which he conveniently lost some year's ago during his travels.
Oh boy, the Lord of Glenglarren sure did have some explaining to do it was just too bad that he had left early that morning and wasn't do back for weeks.
