Well it seems that I'm not going to be going to the movies so it looks like I'm going to be on the computer for a while seeing that there's nothing else to do and there's no threat of my brother taking up my time by getting on, because he has company.

Sleeping Arrangements

It was midnight when Kagome finally retired for the night leaving Sango behind, for sure that she would follow shortly.

Kagome settled into the tent Miroku had so kindly pitched for Sango and herself. Climbing into the not so comfortable wool pallet Kagome closed her eyes and waited for sleep to claim her.

It hadn't been too long before she felt the pallet shift under the weight of another person. Stirring a little at the intrusion of the unwelcome coolness of the night air that had stolen into her tent and under the blanket she slept under.

"Did ye enjoy yerself Sango?" She asked sleepily.

"Aye, I'm sure she did." A gruff male voice replied.

Due to the fog cloud that still inhabited her brain Kagome dismissed the fact that Sango sounded almost ridiculously similar to Inuyasha.

After few minutes passed by Kagome just couldn't shake the feeling that something just wasn't right. She stretched slowly before she rolled over to face Sango to share her feelings.

When she rolled over her eyes widened and her breath hitched when she came face to face with none other than her stubborn husband.

"What in gods name are ye doing here?" She screeched as she pulled the blankets closer to her body.

Inuyasha grimaced as he confronted his fuming wife. "Sleeping, wot else does it look like?"

Kagome's voice raised a notch, as did her anger. "It seems ye've forgotten yer way to yer tent, and mistakenly found yerself in mine that's wot!"

"I' am where I want to be." Inuyasha claimed sounding much like a child.

"I dinnae want ye here." She complained.

"Tough."

"Where is Sango?"

"Elsewhere sleeping peacefully methinks." He claimed sarcastically.

"I dinnae believe ye."

"Well lass that's not my problem now is it." He stated more than asked. "And why should ye believe me? I'm a liar remember."

Kagome bit her lip when she heard her own words repeated back to her.

When she said nothing Inuyasha rolled over on top of her his lips hovering just inches above hers. "Know this lass." He sneered. "Sango understands her place now, and it's way past time for ye to realize the same."

Kagome held his gaze not giving an inch. "Get. Off. Of. Me." She demanded.

"That's the thing yer my wife, and I don't have to." Inuyasha jeered knowing he was pissing her off.

When she began to move her lower half attempting to throw him off she only succeeded in arousing more than his anger.

The movements of Kagome's body beneath his made his body react with desire. Inuyasha looked down at Kagome with the intensity in which he stared at her caused Kagome to stop her struggles and look into the depth of his amber orbs. "What are ye staring at?" She asked breathlessly.

His lips inched closer to hers. When his lips brushed hers their eyes remained locked to one another he replied. "My wife."

He swept in again his lips began their gentle assault on hers causing Kagome to sink into the feeling his kisses provoked. She shuddered when he nipped at her full bottom lip causing her to gasp. "He is the enemy!" Her mind screamed. "He'll cause ye pain for his own perverse pleasure." It was then that Kagome's reason and logic kicked back in.

"Get off of me!" She bellowed.

Rolling off of his wife Inuyasha stared at her strangely more than a little shocked at her request from what he could tell she was enjoying what they were doing as much as he.

Kagome looked down at herself mortified that he had nearly got her out her clothing. "I cannae believe ye'd actually try to force me to go through that unbearably embarrassing act again." She wailed.

Inuyasha blinked when he saw the sliver outlining of tears delicately falling down her face. "Wot's wrong?"

Kagome glared at her husband. "I will never ever do that again."

Not quiet catching her meaning until he saw how frantically she buttoned her nightgown all the way up to her neck. "Don't be a prude Kagome."

"I'd much rather be a prude than share a bed with ye again." Kagome sniffed.

Inuyasha was hurt, but deep down inside he knew where she was coming from, after all her first time was pretty shitty. "I dinnae much like prude's." He saw slowly trying to lighten her mood.

Shrugging her shoulders as she settled under the blanket. "I dinnae much care wot ye like."

Inuyasha grunted as he flopped over on his back. "There are many lasses who would like to be in yer shoes, ye know."

Kagome rolled over and glared daggers at Inuyasha. "Then wot I don't get is why ye did nay choose one of them!" She cried. "I was happy where I was! Why didn't ye leave me there?"

Inuyasha realized that what he said wasn't exactly the best choice of words, and now wasn't the time to talk about why he so hastily removed her from the Convent. "Go to sleep Kagome, we will be riding hard in the morning if we plan on reaching Glenglarren before sun down."

Kagome was glad for the change of subject, but his hesitancy to answer her previous question did not go unnoticed she chose to drop it… For now.

"Good night wife."

"Good riddance Inuyasha." Kagome murmured sleepily exhausted from their conversation she rolled over and fell into an almost fitful slumber.

During the early hours of dawn everyone prepared to move out in relative silence the camp was cleared within the hour.

Kagome hadn't said a word this morning to anyone not even to Sango who seemed not to notice anyone since she was spending all her time with Miroku.

This morning when Kagome awoke she was alone, and more than grateful for that she got dressed for the long and tedious journey ahead. After the camp had been cleared Kagome had mounted Inuyasha's horse Kirara. Kirara was a brown mare that was very bold and graceful in her movements lets not forget that for a horse she was extremely beautiful.

Kagome rubbed Kirara's ears as she leaned down and offered her a sugar cube she had been saving since breakfast. "That's a good girl." She cooed.

"Are ye ready to go wife?" Inuyasha asked as he mounted behind Kagome.

"If I were nay then I doubt I would have been dallying around here with the horse."

"Good point." Inuyasha murmured as he steered the mare in the direction of Glenglarren knowing his men would follow.

Sango sat as still in the saddle as she could, the last thing she needed was a reoccurrence of last night.

The side of Miroku face was still aching from the force behind the slap he had received last night from Sango. He had made the mistake of moving too fast with the lass; hell what was he expecting she was only a virgin.

"Sango." He started as he felt her tense up even more. "I just wanted to apologize for last night." He whispered into her ear.

Shivers ran up and down Sango's spine at the huskiness of his voice but she did not reply.

"Did ye here me?" He asked desperately.

With as much calm as she could muster she replied. "Aye, I heard ye."

"Well?" He asked brightly. "Do ye forgive me?"

Sango smiled at his almost boyish charms. "Aye, I forgive ye, but don't you ever try it again or I'll have yer bullocks."

Miroku gulped, but soon smiled once Sango's body began to settle trusting against his chest. "I'm glad things are back to normal lass."

Sango smiled she too was happy that they were once again settled into their strange yet friendly camaraderie.

***

Kagome watched as Sango and Miroku grew closer throughout the journey and couldn't help but wonder if Sango had told him about her past, about the pain, the grief, and the loss. "Perhaps not." She thought as she continued to watch them.

Kagome's backbone stiffened slightly when a great Keep rose before them. "Is this it?" She asked in awe.

"Aye my wee feisty bride." Inuyasha murmured. "Tis it, Tis Glenglarren."

Kagome smiled shyly at her husband as their horse slowed to a leisure trot recognizing the territory they were in. Once they reached the opening gates Kagome was surprised to how many men, woman, and children had been awaiting patient for these men to return home.

But one thing was for certain. No one was a surprised as Sango when a small girl ran out from behind the gates to greeting Miroku with her arms flung wide open screaming "Papa! Papa!"

Sango turned a sickening shade of pale. "Papa?" She croaked as she looked into Miroku's eyes.

Before he could reply he was being attack by a small child less than half his size. "Yer home papa!"

In that moment Kagome hopped out of the saddle and rushed to Sango's side patting her back gently as they were both swept into the crowd.

The last thing she her from Sango was. "He has a child." Kagome glance back than back at Sango her face mirrored her shock. "It seems that he does, darling."

This isn't really a chapter that I fancy very much, but oh well I'll get over I'm getting closer to finishing this little editing project… The sooner the better I say because I really need to get on with this story. Well if you have any questions ask em', but if they have to do with the story like major parts in the story I prolly won't answer em'.
