Kagome crawled out of bed before the sun came up. She slid into the chair in front of her computer, pulling up her messenger and email, hoping to have a message from the one person who plagued her thoughts, and once again, nothing. It had been a few weeks since she had heard from her best friend, but that wasn't surprising with all of the mid terms due. She shrugged, trying to keep positive thoughts. `Oh well, it doesn't matter. I will be seeing you in…' She looked over to her nightstand for the time. `Approximately seven hours.'
She closed her eyes and exhaled all of her anxiety. Today she would surprise him with a visit. Two years had passed since she last saw him and it felt like an eternity; she missed him desperately. It had taken the separation to finally come to terms with the fact that she did not just love him, but was in love with him. Her mind asked the same question it had a million times over. `Does he feel the same way? Could he ever feel that way toward me? Gah, do I even have the courage to find out?' Kagome opened her eyes, looking out her window. `Today we both turn nineteen, Inuyasha. Do you remember our promise?'
~ Memory ~
It was the night before Inuyasha left for college and his parents were hosting a going away party for their youngest son. The bash was in full swing and the house was getting quite crowded even though it was nothing short of a mansion. Kagome had been talking to one of her friends when she felt him grab her hand. She looked up into his honey orbs and knew that he was silently asking for her attention. She excused herself and allowed him to lead her away from the crowd and up the stairs. Once inside his room, Inuyasha shut and locked the door behind him.
“Finally, I thought I would never get you alone. ” He said as he pulled her into a hug. “I can't believe I am actually going off to college.”

Once inside his room, Inuyasha shut and locked the door behind him.
“Finally, I thought I would never get you alone. ” He said as he pulled her into a hug. “I can't believe I am actually going off to college.”
“Yeah, me neither.” Kagome said as she pulled away and looked down at her feet. She had known this day was coming since they decided on going to separate colleges. Her family could not afford to help her with the school dues and Inuyasha came from a wealthy family. His family was generous and had offered to pay her way as well, but Kagome wouldn't hear of it. Although she was grateful, she wanted to do it on her own; she just never imagined how hard saying goodbye was going to be. “I'm… I'm very excited for you.”
Inuyasha could sense that something was amiss. “What's wrong?” He asked as he lifted her chin to look at her.
“Nothing, it's stupid.” She said, trying to look at anything but him.
“Let me be the judge of that; tell me.” He insisted.
Kagome gave in and looked into his eyes; they were so filled with concern. Inside, her mind was screaming, `Don't leave me!' She wanted to beg him to stay, but she knew that he had to go and this was probably goodbye forever.
“Tell me,” He insisted again, stepping a little closer. “Please?”
“Alright,” She looked at him. “ I'm scared.” Kagome said as tears welled in her eyes. “I'm scared you will forget me.” She quickly turned her back to him, as she could feel all of her pent up insecurities rushing back to her, reminding her that she was the smart, nerdy girl from school who had never even had a boyfriend. She couldn't even get a date for her prom, and he, being her best friend, had asked her. At first she declined. But then he talked her into going with him, stating that he couldn't get a date either. She just couldn't believe that; he was beautiful, smart, rich, and oh so wonderful. But he insisted, and in the end, they went together.
Kagome felt him come from behind, wrapping his arms around her. She could feel the heat of his breath as he whispered the words she so desperately needed to hear. “I will never forget you. You must know how much you mean to me by now. You are my best friend.”
He turned her around in his arms and lightly ran a finger through her bangs. Kagome felt the digit gently wipe away the tears she'd been trying desperately not to shed, then she closed her eyes as another escaped her traitorous eye. His thumb began to slowly caress her cheek, wiping away her pain. Never before had he been so intimate with her and she reveled in the feel of his touch.

His thumb began to slowly caress her cheek, wiping away her pain. Never before had he been so intimate with her and she reveled in the feel of his touch.
Inuyasha leaned in and his lips came down, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead. “You mean the world to me, Kagome. Nothing, nobody, not even time or distance, will ever change that.” He whispered as began placing small kisses down her cheek until he reached the edge of her sweet lips.
Her body reacted of its own accord and she leaned into him. It was then that Kagome received her very first kiss. His lips were so soft and gentle; it was like being caressed by rose petals, only better. Her heart began to pound so hard she could feel the blood rushing to every extremity of her body. `He's kissing me…we're kissing…. Oh my… He is…wait …is that his tongue?' Kagome thought as his tongue slid across her bottom lip. Without another thought, she opened herself to him, allowing him to devour her mouth.
Her tongue met his with as much passion as she could muster, and before she knew it, he was lying on top of her on his bed and their clothes were strewn about the floor. It was all happening too fast, and the sudden realization hit her like a ton of bricks. `What is happening? He is leaving tomorrow for three years. Is this what we want? Will this change us?' Her mind was drowning in questions.
“Inuyasha... we…we need to stop.” She managed to get out between pants. It took everything she had to get those words out.
His suckling of her neck suddenly ceased and his arms wrapped around her body as he nuzzled her neck. “Why?” He asked, trying to catch his breath.
“Because...” She paused and he lifted her eyes to meet his. She knew he was waiting for a better reason than that. “Because you're leaving tomorrow.... because we are only seventeen… because this is something we both take very seriously. I mean, it's our virginity; there is no going back on this.” Her eyes were begging for understanding.
“Is it because it's with me that you don't want this?” He asked with so much pain in his voice she almost choked.
She was stunned at his question. “Of course not, I love you.” She said as she cupped his cheek. She looked deep into those eyes she had grown to adore so much. “You are so special to me and I could not think of anyone else I would want to share this with more, but we need to really think about this. I mean, I am not even on birth control and less than an hour ago I had never even been kissed before in my whole life. What would happen if I got pregnant? I don't want to be a single mom raising a child alone.”
He looked at her as if her words had just burned him. “I would never do that to you. I would marry you; you should know that.” Inuyasha said with sincerity.
“We are only seventeen, Inuyasha. Don't you think we're too young to make this kind of decision? Besides, there are going to be a lot of beautiful girls in college… You'll forget all about little `ol me.”
Inuyasha nestled back into her neck, leaning his whole body weight on her as his arms wrapped tightly around her. “We might be young, Kagome, but I wouldn't have regretted this. There will never be another girl who can take your place.”
Her heart leapt at the confession, but she knew that his feelings could change in time. She ran one hand up his back and in between his muscular shoulder blades. “Only time will tell, Inuyasha. You never know what your future will bring you. Neither of us can predict what it will hold.” Kagome said as she slid the other hand through his long, silver locks.
He lifted his head to look down at her. “That may be true, I may not know what my future holds, but know that I want you to be a part of it. I know that we have a connection that can never be broken. These feelings that I have for you are so strong and they are confusing, but I know they're real. But if you say time will tell, then I will wait. Kagome, let's make a promise to each other right here and now.” He waited until she nodded in agreement. “If by our nineteenth birthday we have not found this so called `other', we'll finish what we started here tonight.”

Kagome looked into his eyes to see just how serious he was. “Alright, I promise you.”
Inuyasha's head dipped and he sealed the deal with a kiss.

Kagome stood and made her way to the bathroom since she wanted to be on the road before nine a.m. The trip to see Inuyasha would take at least three and a half hours and that was without traffic. After a long, hot shower Kagome emerged from the steamy bathroom feeling a little more at ease. `What to wear…? Hmmm….' A light knock on her door brought her out of her thoughts. “Come in, Sango.”
Her roommate entered, carrying a tray of food singing, “Happy Birthday to you… Happy Birthday to you… Happy Birthday, my dear, sweet, Kagome…Happy Birthday to yooooouuuu!”
Kagome laughed and looked down at the stack of pancakes with lit candles. “You are so crazy. Thank you, Sango.” She giggled before blowing out the candles.
“You are so welcome.” Sango looked around and noticed the stack of clothes Kagome was apparently going through. “So you are definitely going, huh?”
“Yeah, I miss him terribly.” Kagome admitted. “Now if I could just figure out what the hell I am going to wear.” She said, turning to the pile of clothes strewn across her bed.
Her roommate took a seat at her computer chair. “Kagome, are you sure you want to do this? What if he has moved on? I mean you haven't heard from him all that much in the past few months. Now don't get me wrong, I know you and Inuyasha were very close. But a lot of time has passed and we've all grown up. I mean, look at you. You've even changed. I am not sure if Inuyasha will even recognize you.”
Kagome turned to look at her friend, and smirked. “Shut up. So I've changed a little; I am still the same girl inside.”
Sango rolled her eyes. “Yup, you're right! It's just that now you have longer hair, bigger boobs, hips and thighs. Oh yeah, and let's not forget the fact that you no longer dress like one of the guys. What's there to notice?”
Kagome nodded in agreement. “Exactly.”
“Well, since I can't seem to change your mind, I guess I should help you pick out an outfit.” Sango relented.
Kagome pulled her from the chair and into a tight hug. “Thank you, Sango. I know what you're trying to do and I love you for it. But this is something I need to do. I love him and I need to know if he feels the same way.”
Sango hugged her back. “I know, just don't get hurt, baby. You know how much I hate the thought of breaking both of his knee caps.” She teased.
Kagome laughed. “I know.”
The girls rampaged through each others closet until they had a perfect ensemble: A pair of dark blue, low rise jeans now adorned Kagome's curvy hips and a deep, red halter top that complemented her full breasts. After that, they went to town on Kagome's waist-length hair. Sango took her time, flat ironing it before taking the curling iron and flipping up her layers. Last but not least was Kagome's makeup. She added some charcoal eyeliner to the top of her lids, a little mascara to her already full lashes, and finally, some peach lip-gloss.
Kagome stood in front of the mirror and picked up her silver hoop belt and slid it through her belt loops. Her hands were getting shaky; it was nearly eight-thirty a.m. and almost time to leave.
Sango started to sense her friend's nervousness. “Kagome?”
Kagome looked over her shoulder and smiled. “You look beautiful.” She said. “I will give you a few minutes and wait for you downstairs, okay?”
Kagome nodded; it was like her friend could read her mind. She took one last look in the mirror to see if she was missing anything and she was. She walked over to her dresser and grabbed her silver hoop earrings, slipping them on her ears before grabbing the most important piece of jewelry she owned: Inuyasha's class ring that he'd given her the day he left.
Kagome looked down at the picture sitting beside her jewelry box and smiled. It was an image of her and Inuyasha jumping off of Big Bertha hand in hand.
~ Memory ~
“Go on, jump already!” Bankotsu yelled at Kagome. “What's wrong? You chicken or something?”
A thirteen-year-old Kagome looked over her shoulder and stuck her tongue out at her teasers then she turned back around and stared down at the thirty-foot drop. This was hell; she couldn't get her legs to stop shaking. She had two choices: She could jump and risk death or she could be called chicken for the rest of her life. Well, in actuality, no one had ever died jumping off of Big Bertha but she was sure she would suffer a heart attack before hitting the water below. Kagome had never backed down from any dares, especially in front of Inuyasha; she wasn't afraid of anything, well, except heights.
She closed her eyes and licked her lips, preparing to accept her fate of being made fun of for the rest of her god-forsaken life. Right before she turned around, ready to give up, she felt someone take her hand. She looked up and blue met gold. “Kagome, are you ok?” Inuyasha asked softly, not wanting anyone to hear him.
“I don't like heights.” Kagome whispered back. “But I hate them more.” Kagome said, motioning to the group behind them.
Inuyasha gripped her hand a little tighter. “Do you trust me, Kags?”
Kagome looked over to him and they locked eyes. “Y-Yes, why?”
“Because we are going to do this…together.” He gave her hand a squeeze.
Kagome exhaled and looked back down over the cliff. “I'm scared, Inuyasha.”
Inuyasha laughed at her confession. “Oh, please, you? Come on, you are the bravest person I know. Who was it that socked Big Bobbie Brewster square in his jaw?”
Kagome started to giggle. “Oh yeah, well what was I gonna do? Let him and his brother gang up on you? I couldn't just sit there, so I hit him.” Kagome started to laugh a little harder. “Who knew he'd cry like a little girl?”
“Yeah, that was funny.” Inuyasha looked over at the group behind him before looking back at his best friend. “So, are we gonna do this or not?”
“Will you hold my hand the whole way down?” Kagome asked.
“Yup, the whole way down.” He replied.
“You promise you won't let go?”
“Hey, I'm your best friend. It's my job to be there to hold your hand. If you leap, I leap. If you fall, I fall. But I will always be here holding your hand; I will never let go as long as you need me. That is a promise.” Inuyasha said as he held up their entwined fingers, showing her his commitment.
“I am so gonna hold you to that, Inuyasha” She exhaled. “Let's get this over with.” They took a step closer to the edge.
“On the count of three. One…two...” He softly counted. “Three!” They both took the leap hand in hand, never once letting go.

Kagome ran her finger over the glass of the frame.`I still can't believe Sango was able to capture this picture.' She looked closer and giggled at the horrified expression on her face and the way Inuyasha was laughing as they dropped into the water. Sango had been sunbathing on the other side of the riverbank when she noticed them standing on the edge of the cliff. She grabbed her camera and waited to see if Kagome had the courage to jump. When they did, she snapped the shot.
Kagome placed the picture back down on her dresser and made her way down stairs. Sango was sitting on the couch sipping from a coffee mug. “Okay, I think I am ready. Do I look alright?” She asked, looking down at herself and then back up at her friend.
Sango smirked. “As Miroku would say, damn, girl, you look good enough to eat.” She said as she stood up and walked over to the kitchen table and picked up a paper bag. “I took the liberty of packing you some juice and a snack for your trip. Are you sure you don't want me to come? It wouldn't be a problem, besides, I would pay good money to see the look on his face when he sees you.”
Kagome smiled. “You're such a hentai,” She giggled. “But I love you anyway. Have you seen my red heels?”

“Yup, they're next to the door and so is your purse. You better get on the road if you want to make it there by lunch.” Sango replied. “Promise me you'll drive safe.”
“Promise.” Kagome said as she slipped into her five-inch heels.
“And you'll call me after you….” Sango grilled.
“Yes, yes, I have to go…” Kagome replied, cutting her off. “Don't worry, I will be fine, okay?”
After one, last hug, Sango waved to her friend and slipped into her red Jeep and backed out of the driveway. `Hurt her, Yash, and I will kill you!' Sango thought as she went inside and closed the door.

Far away…
The incessant banging on his dorm room door woke Inuyasha. He lifted his head and moaned at the stiffness that had settled in his back and neck. He hated it when he fell asleep at his desk. “What…who is it?” He moaned with heavy eyelids.
“Come on, open up man!” Kouga yelled from the other side of the door.
“Go away, its Saturday.” Inuyasha yelled back.
Kouga began to bang again. “I am not leaving until you open up.”
Inuyasha stood up from the desk and stretched before making his way over to the door. “What the hell do you want, Kouga?” He growled as he threw it open. He was surprised when he saw his friend standing there with a huge smile. “It's too early in the morning for this shit. What the hell are you smiling about?”
Kouga rolled his eyes and stepped past Inuyasha, entering the room. “Did you forget your own birthday? Come on, get dressed. The gang wants to meet up for lunch.”
Inuyasha's ears perked up. `My birthday?' He looked over at the calendar and then quickly to the clock. `Shit.' He reached over and picked up the phone and began to dial Kagome's home phone number.
“Who are you calling?” Kouga asked.
“Kagome, it's her birthday too. I am always the first to wish her a happy birthday. Gah, I am such a baka. I can't believe I slept in. Damn it!” He cursed as he slammed down the phone. “It's busy.”
“Come on, man. Get your clothes and go take a shower. You can call her when we get back.” Kouga whined. He had heard Inuyasha speak of his friend Kagome many times but he just couldn't figure out what was so important about her; she was just another female.
“Kouga, it is only ten-thirty a.m.” Inuyasha said as he plopped down on his bed.

“Yeah, and it is going to take you three hours to pick out your clothes, shower, and prep your beautiful hair.” Kouga said as he flipped his hand through his own hair, making fun.
Inuyasha smiled. “Keep it up and I will take four hours to get ready. Besides, it's my birthday and all I want to do is talk to Kagome and sleep.”
Inuyasha smiled. “Keep it up and I will take four hours to get ready. Besides, it's my birthday and all I want to do is talk to Kagome and sleep.”
Kouga crossed his arms. “Like hell. You are gonna get out of bed and get your ass in the shower. Everyone is meeting at noon at the pizzeria.” The hanyou gave no response. “Come on, man. The girls spent all night making you that stupid cake. Do you want them to cry?”
That did it.
That did it.
Inuyasha sat up. “You know, I really hate it when you do this. It's always the guilt trip.”
“Is it working?” Kouga asked.
“Yes, I will go shower. But after the pizzeria, I am coming home and getting some much-needed rest. Plus, I really need to get a hold of Kagome.”
“Is it working?” Kouga asked.
“Yes, I will go shower. But after the pizzeria, I am coming home and getting some much-needed rest. Plus, I really need to get a hold of Kagome.”
“Man, she is your friend, not your girlfriend. Speaking of which...” Kouga said with wiggling eyebrows. “Jennifer will be there.”
Inuyasha felt his stomach drop. Jennifer was beautiful, smart, and very sweet, but also, very pushy. The blonde would go out of her way to be wherever he was, ignoring the fact that he wasn't interested in her that way. The girl had even managed to work her way into the same clique he hung out with. “Kouga, for the last time, yes, she is sweet but I have no interest in her outside of friendship.”
“She is sweet? What the hell is wrong with you? This is supposed to be the time of your life. You're in college dude. It's all about the parties and the women and Jennifer is all woman.” Kouga said as he held up his hands over chest, pretending to be fondling breasts.
“That's it! Get out!” Inuyasha pointed at the door. “Leave now before I change my mind and just stay here and sleep.”
Kouga held up his hands in defense. “Alright, alright, I will pick you up at twelve; you better be ready.” Kouga warned.
“I will, now get out!” Inuyasha snapped as he shoved his friend out of the room and shut the door. He picked up his phone and pushed redial, but once again, he got a busy signal. He hung up and dialed her cell phone, but it went straight to voice mail. “Damn, where are you girl?”
Three hours and fifteen minutes later….
Kagome's red jeep drove onto the large University campus. Do to the mild traffic; she was able to make it in record time. She pulled over when she noticed the map to the campus. She knew the dorm building and room number but was clueless as to where to find it. She studied the map and found the building she was looking for. All at once, her stomach started doing flip-flops. Part of her was so excited to see him and the other told her not to get her hopes up. `What am I going to do if he has a girlfriend?' Kagome cringed at the thought. `Well, if he has a girlfriend I will just wish him a happy birthday and then leave. Ungh…. Maybe this was a stupid idea…or…. or maybe it was a great idea. Well, I will never know unless I do this.' Kagome looked into her rearview mirror then pulled out her lip-gloss, giving herself a touch up. `It's now or never.' She thought as she put her car in gear and pulled out onto the road.
She was surprised at how large the University campus was. It was like a little city with a large park and little shops. She made a left and then two rights before entering the dorm parking lot. She parked in the space closest to the entrance and turned off the engine. Taking a few deep breaths, she exited her jeep and balled up her fists, trying to calm her shaky hands. Finally, she began her trek into the dorm building.
From the outside the dorm looked like a large cottage but on the inside it was like a miniature hotel. As the door closed behind her, she looked to her left where there was a large staircase that she was sure led to the individual dorm rooms and to her right it looked like a check in desk for a hotel. Kagome made her way over to the desk just as a young man with dark hair and dark eyes stood behind it.
He sat a box down on the counter and looked up, jumping at first before a grin formed across his already sharp features. “Well, hello there, beautiful. Is there something that I can help you with?” He asked as his eyes began to roam her form.
Kagome could feel the light blush spreading across her cheeks. “Um, yes, I am looking for Taisho Inuyasha.”
The young man leaned over the counter on one elbow. “I am sorry, sweet-cheeks. You just missed him; he left with Kouga. Is there anything else that I could help you with? Maybe treat you to lunch?” He asked with a huge smile, loving the reaction he was getting from her.
“You're very kind but I really just came here to see Inuyasha. Do you know when he is expected back?” Kagome asked, trying to get control of her insistent blush.
“Nope, but maybe I can tell you where he went, but then again, I don't usually tell strangers where our dorm brothers can be found.” He said, trying to bait her into giving her name.
“I'm sorry, my name is Kagome.” She supplied as she held out her hand, offering it to the young man.
“Ahh, a beautiful name for a beautiful angel.” He lifted her hand and gently kissed it. “My name is Tommy. I am the newest dorm brother so I get stuck with the front desk on Saturdays.” He smiled before continuing, “As far as Inuyasha goes, he is probably down at the pizzeria. It's a popular hang out on Saturdays.”
He took out a piece of paper and began to write the directions down for her. “Here are the directions. I will also write my phone number on here; in case you get lost… or hungry.” He offered her the paper with a wink.
Kagome accepted the directions. “You are too kind, thank you.” She said as she turned and made her way out of the building.
Tommy watched her the whole time, admiring her ass in the tight, low rise jeans. “Man, how the fuck did Taisho get her? Fuckin', lucky dog.” He said to no one in particular before getting back to work.
At the pizzeria…
Inuyasha sat between his friends, laughing and sipping on his root beer. He loved hanging out with them. It reminded him of the way things used to be at home; the only difference was the company. All of his friends here were different except Bankotsu. He was the only friend he had at school that he had at home, but even with the comfort of these new friends, there was always something missing.
Inuyasha took out his cell phone, looking at it for the fifth time since he'd entered the pizzeria. He knew that his phone hadn't rung, but he just couldn't stop himself from checking. `Why hasn't she called me? I'm such a baka. She is probably mad at me for not returning her calls. I hope she will let me explain.'
Bankotsu, who was sitting next to him, noticed him checking his cell phone once again. “You're expecting an important call from a certain blue-eyed girl?” He whispered.
Inuyasha closed his phone. “Yeah, I tried to call her and wish her a happy birthday but she isn't answering. I think she is pissed at me.”
“What did you do?” Bank asked softly over the rowdy crowd.
“I haven't called her in a couple of weeks. I wanted to, but you know I have been taking a couple of extra night classes. Between classes and homework, I don't even have time to sleep.” Inuyasha tried, defending himself.
Bank shook his head. “Man, I am so glad I am not you. I have seen Kagome mad and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.”
“Fuck, what am I gonna do?” Inuyasha asked, putting his head in his hands.
“Dude, she is your friend, that means she is going to forgive you. She might kick your ass first, but she will forgive you.” Bank assured, patting his shoulder. “But for today, live it up. You're surrounded by beautiful, available women. Tomorrow you can take the whole day to grovel at her feet.”
Inuyasha rolled his eyes. “No, I have to take care of this today.”
Bank knew that his friend was never going to be able to relax without making up with Kagome first. He was one of the only people that really knew how important his friendship with her was. But he wondered how deep those feelings really went. “Fine! But at least act like you're enjoying yourself. If not for our sake, do it for the girls.”
Kagome pulled into the parking lot of the pizzeria. She knew that Tommy said this place was popular but after driving around for five minutes she wasn't even able to find a parking space. Deciding to sit along the curb across from the entrance, she put the car in park and turned off the engine, praying he was there.
Inuyasha and his group of friends were saying their goodbyes and making there way out of the pizzeria. He had a good time, but at the same time, he couldn't wait to get home. He was almost to the exit when his day took a turn for the worse: Jennifer had an accident. Apparently, she forgot to get her purse and turned a little too quickly, twisting her ankle and falling into the hanyou's arms.
“Are you alright?” He asked.
“I don't know. I think I twisted my ankle.” She winced.
Inuyasha looked down at her leg. “Do you think you can stand on it?”
“I am not sure; let me see.” She said as she tried to stand. But with hardly any weight, she began to groan in agony. “No, I don't think so.”
Ayame came from behind them and said, “I got your purse, Jennifer… Hey, what happened?”
“She twisted her ankle.” Inuyasha informed with a little irritation. He wasn't sure if she was really hurt of if she was playing him for attention. But being the gentleman he was, he decided to pick her up and carry her to the car. Once he had her off the ground, Jennifer wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. “Ayame, she came with you, didn't she?”
“Yeah, I am parked right out front. I will take her home and get some ice on it.” Ayame offered.
“Alright, I will carry her to the car.” Inuyasha said as he started to follow everyone outside. He heard Jennifer whisper a “thank you” and he replied with a “you're welcome.”
Kagome checked her makeup and hair before stepping out of the vehicle. After locking it up she turned to see a group exiting the pizzeria. She recognized Bankotsu right away and was about to wave and call out to him when she noticed a certain silver-haired male exiting behind him. What lied in his arms didn't go unnoticed and her heart immediately sank.
Kouga was the first to exit when he got a glimpse of the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. “Who the hell is that? I think I am in love.”
Bank heard Kouga's confession and started to laugh. “Where is she?” He asked, looking around. His eyes fell on the woman who was staring straight back at him. “No way! It can't be. Is that Kagome?”
Inuyasha walked out just in time to hear Kagome's name. “Kagome? What about her?” Inuyasha asked not knowing what was going on.
Bank turned around just in time to see Inuyasha carrying Jennifer. He nearly jumped in shock. `Oh no.' Quickly walking over to his hanyou friend and the woman in his arms, he noticed how much they looked like a couple in love.
He stood in front of Inuyasha, blocking Kagome's view. “Give me Jennifer, Inuyasha.”
“Why?” Inuyasha asked. “What's going on?”
“Yeah, what is going on? Don't tell me that hottie is your Kagome, Inuyasha?” Kouga asked.
“Where?” Inuyasha asked as he stepped around Bankotsu to see the woman in question. Kouga was right. She was definitely a hottie and definitely resembled... “Holy shit!” was all he said as he almost dropped a stunned Jennifer. Lucky for her, Bankotsu was able to grab her before she hit the ground.
Inuyasha locked eyes with the woman. Her hair was long, nearly to her waist and she was wearing the most seductive, red halter-top and tight, low rise jeans showing off a flat tummy. Sure it had been a long time since he had seen her, but there was no denying those piercing blue eyes. Her eyes… They were looking at him and he could see the pain sitting in them, but before he could do anything, she quickly turned away and jumped into a red jeep.
Inuyasha tried to make a quick dash across the street, but some cars were coming and by the time he made it to the destination, she had pulled out and was driving toward parking lot exit. He was stunned. `Was that Kagome? Would she have driven all the way down here to see me? But why would she just leave?' Inuyasha looked back at his friends who were staring back at him. He didn't know what to do.
Bank walked Jennifer to Ayame's car and helped buckle her up then made a quick apology on Inuyasha's behalf. He didn't want the girl to leave with hurt or confused feelings. He knew that the poor girl was in love with him, and from what he had just witnessed, his friend had just proven that he was definitely in love with Kagome. Once the two girls drove away, he walked over to where Inuyasha and Kouga were waiting.
“Well, the girls are off. You ok, Yash?” Bank asked, knowing the answer.
“I don't know. Do you really think that was her?” Inuyasha asked, hoping his friend would relieve his conscience.
“Well, if that was her, she has definitely changed from that little tomboy we grew up with. But I have to be honest with you, nobody has eyes like those. And with the way she was looking at you, I don't have any doubt that it was. I don't think you do either.” Bank replied.
Kouga stood next to the hanyou. “Man, I can't believe what an asshole you are, Inuyasha. You never told me how hot your best friend was. You have been holding out on me, man. I thought we were friends.” He teased.
Inuyasha growled a warning to his friend. `I gotta find out if that was her.'
The men piled into Bankotsu's car and started back to the dorm. Inuyasha was quiet during the quick drive; he had so many things running through his mind. `Was that you, Kagome?' He slid out his cell phone, flipping it open. No calls. He closed it as they parked the car. Part of him wanted to jump out of Bank's car and into his own and head back to his hometown; back to her. `But what if it wasn't her? Bank is right. That woman was gorgeous. But she had Kagome's eyes, and the way they looked at me.'
Inuyasha was quietly following the guys into the dorm when an annoying sophomore stopped them. “Taisho, you had a little visitor today. I must say, she was quite the looker.” Tommy informed him as he used his hands to form the shape of an hourglass. “What was her name?” He recalled, bringing a finger to his chin as if he had to think about it. “It was so sweet….”
In the blink of an eye, Inuyasha snapped and Tommy found himself thrown against a wall with sharp claws wrapped around his throat. “Her fucking name…?”
Tommy nearly pissed himself; in that moment he knew he'd pushed too far. “Her name was… Kagome.” Just as the girl's name left his tongue, he felt himself hit the floor.
“Shit!” Inuyasha yelled as he made a quick dash upstairs for his car keys. The guys were still helping Tommy off the ground when he came running back down the stairs with his keys in hand. “I gotta go!” Was all he said as he ran out the door, vaguely hearing Bank yell “Good luck” before the door closed behind him. Realizing that he had to hurry, he jumped in his Yukon and peeled out of the parking lot.
Kagome was flying down the highway as endless tears streamed down her cheeks. She wanted to get home so she could crawl into bed, get under the covers, and hide away from the world. In just a matter of minutes, her whole planet crumbled. She knew there was a chance that he had met someone else, and no matter how much she had tried to prepare herself for it, the realization was heart- crushing; the pain in her chest almost made it unbearable to breathe. She hit the accelerator harder, pushing her jeep to ninety miles an hour.
`How could I be so stupid? Of course, he'd move on. Inuyasha is the perfect guy; it was bound to happen. I just wish it had been with me. I was just toostupid and naïve to believe hewould be mine. I have to move on. I have to get over him. Gah, I am such a baka. He saw me and I just left. I didn't even say hi. It's not like he betrayed me. I am supposed to be his best friend. It's not his fault I want more.'
With each thought, more and more tears found their way down her cheeks. The fear of life without him made her feel physically ill.
Kagome looked down at the speedometer and almost had a heart attack; she was pushing one hundred. She instantly lifted her foot from the gas pedal and pressed the brakes, pulling over to the shoulder of the road. She jumped out as the bile reached her throat. Her emotions had gotten the better of her and she bent over and emptied her stomach on the side of the two-lane highway.
After dry heaving for a few minutes, Kagome went to her car and pulled out one of the bottles of juice Sango had packed for her. She rinsed her mouth out and leaned back against her Jeep. `This day could not possibly get any worse.' Or so she thought until she felt the first raindrop hit her bare arms. `Shit.' She wiped away her tears and climbed into the driver's seat. She had an hour left before she reached her home. Kagome looked into her rearview mirror, grimacing at her reflection and came to the realization that going home right now would not be smart. The last thing she wanted to do was deal with Sango and the fit of rage that was sure to take place when she saw her. `I just want to be alone; I need to face this alone; I have to let him go.' She thought as she pulled back on to the highway.
The rain was pounding against his windshield and his wipers were on full blast. Inuyasha carefully dialed Kagome's cell phone for the hundredth time since he'd left his dorm. He kept his eyes on the wet road as he heard the call go straight to voice mail, again. He'd already left two messages, begging her to call him back, but nothing. He finally decided to call Sango; desperate times called for desperate measures, so he found the number and dialed.
Sango was flipping channels on her TV when she heard her cell phone go off; she'd been waiting for hours for Kagome to call. Grabbing the cell, she looked at the caller ID. `Inuyasha?? That's strange' “Hello?”
“Sango, it's Inuyasha. Um, have you heard from Kagome?” He asked, trying not to sound too alarmed.
“What do you mean? Isn't she there with you?” Sango asked, jumping off the coach. “She left here seven hours ago. Are you telling me she didn't make it?” She screamed into the phone.
Inuyasha's heart sank; it had definitely been Kagome standing there just a few feet in front of him. “Yeah, she made it. But she left before I actually got to talk to her.”
“What do you mean? She just left without saying anything? What the hell happened?” Sango asked, getting more and more upset.
“Look, Sango, I am just as confused as you are. I was eating out with some friends and I saw her in the parking lot. But she got in her car and left before I could get to her.” Inuyasha answered.
“How long ago was this?” Sango asked, looking at her clock.
“Almost three and a half hours ago. I am about a half an hour behind her. She should have been there by now.” He said, trying to figure out where the hell she might have gone if she didn't go home. “Do you think she went to her mom's?”
Sango shook her head. “No, I spoke with her mother right before you called and she was looking for her too. Inuyasha, you better find her.”
“Don't you think I know that?” Inuyasha snapped. “Shit, I am sorry, Sango. I am just worried. I will call you if I find her. You call me if she shows up there.”
“I will, just find her ok? You know her better than anyone else in the whole, wide world. If you were her, where would you go?” Sango asked.
It was like a bolt of lightning had struck him dead center. “I know where she is; I will call you when I have her.” He promised, snapping his phone shut before Sango could respond. His foot hit the gas and his truck picked up speed. `Kagome, please be ok, baby. I am on my way.'
Kagome pulled down the long, dirt road that led her to the place that filled her heart with so many memories. She came to the end and parked her truck under a large, oak tree. She unbuckled her seat belt and slid from her seat and into the rain. It was a little hike to where their old hangout used to be and the downpour made the ground muddy so she slid out of her heels, deciding it was best to go barefoot. Picking up her shoes, she made her way through a little brush and then into a clearing. Memories of the past played through her mind like an old record as she stopped at the edge of the cliff; she looked down, realizing what she needed to do.
Inuyasha pulled onto the dirt road praying with all his might that he would find her here. The feeling of desperation was at an all time high; he needed to know that she was ok. He wanted to yell at her for running away from him. He wanted to beg her forgiveness for not calling her. Hell, he just wanted to touch her, tell her how much he missed her. His heart leapt from his chest when a flash of red came into view; her Jeep was here. She was here.
He pulled over and jumped out of his truck with urgency. He couldn't wait anymore; he needed to see her and he ran as fast as his feet would take him. It was only seconds before he pushed through the brush and into the clearing, his breathing hitching in his chest as his vision took her in. He had to struggle to bring the much-needed air back into his lungs. There she stood, a very soaked Kagome overlooking Big Bertha.
He stood there watching her for what felt like forever. So many memories had been shared in this one spot. This was the place they hung out with their friends during the summer, and once in a while just the two of them would come out there to just talk. The image of her standing there reminded him of another time they shared: The day she had given him her full trust. It was the day she really became his and he became hers. “My Kagome.”
Kagome heard her name and quickly turned to see Inuyasha standing there; his hair, wet with rain, stuck to his now see- through white, t-shirt. So many emotions began to pump through her veins as he stood there. She felt confusion, panic, and worse of all, pain. She turned back to face the cliff. “Do you remember what you said to me when you took my hand and helped me face my worst fear?”
Inuyasha took a step closer. “Yes.” Guilt started filling his heart along with the fear that maybe she had needed him and he hadn't been there. Taking another step, he said, “I remember.”
“That was such a long time ago, perhaps too long ago.” Kagome whispered, and if it had not been for his hanyou hearing, he would have missed it.
He didn't know what she was doing, but with her being so close to the cliff, panic started to set in. It was raining hard and she could easily slip. “You leap, I leap.” Inuyasha said trying to get her to stop and think about what she was doing.
Kagome dropped her shoes, letting them hit the mud. “Go home, Inuyasha.” She ordered stepping forward and letting herself fall into the dark waters below.
“Kagome!” Inuyasha screamed. Without a second, thought he jumped.
Kagome hit the water hard, feeling herself sink deep within before she was able kick her feet and make her way to the top of the bone-chilling water. She began to swim toward the edge of the river when she heard a large splash behind her.
Inuyasha rose from the icy waters screaming her name. He knew how she hated heights, and to be quite honest, she had never been the best swimmer. He spotted her trying to get to the shore and quickly swam behind her, slipping his arm around her waist and helping her toward the bank.
When they made it, Kagome pushed herself out of his arms. “What are you doing? I told you to go back home.” She tried to yell but her teeth began to chatter.
“What the hell do you think? You're apparently upset about something, its pouring cats and dogs, and you decide to become all brave and jump Big Bertha. I told you; you leap, I leap. I meant it.” Inuyasha yelled.
“Oh yeah? Well, don't worry. I will not hold you to that anymore. From now on I can face my fears without you; I just proved it.” Kagome yelled back. At that moment she was thankful for the rain. She didn't want him to see her tears as they slid down her cheeks.
“What are you saying?” Inuyasha asked, feeling like his heart was being ripped out of his chest.
“Isn't it apparent? I am setting you free of your promises, and in doing so, I am setting myself free.” Kagome said as the meaning of her words set in. Her tear-filled eyes met his golden ones, and for a second, she thought she saw tears. She cupped her cheek, standing on her tipped-toes to place a gentle kiss on his lips as his hand rose to cover hers. “Happy nineteenth birthday, Inuyasha. I hope she makes you happy.” Kagome ran her thumb across the soft skin of his cheek before pulling away.
He couldn't move, feeling paralyzed by what she had just said. All he could do was watch her walk away. `Did she just say goodbye to me?' It took him many minutes to realize he was standing there in the rain, alone, and he began his trek back to his truck, becoming more and more angry with each step. He couldn't figure out what the hell had brought this all on. He got into his truck and slammed the door.`Why dothings always have to be so damn complicated?' He groused, slamming his fist down on the steering wheel.
Kagome pulled her Jeep into her driveway and turned off the ignition, sitting there trying to get herself together before she'd have to face Sango and her million questions. Closing her eyes and laying her head back against the head rest, she tried to concentrate on the sounds of raindrops hitting the roof rather than the throbbing of her heart against her chest.
After a few minutes, Kagome pulled herself from her car and went inside, but once there, she noticed that Sango wasn't downstairs and for that she was thankful. She ran down the stairs and was heading for her room when she heard Sango call her name. `Shit.' “Yes, it's me.” Kagome replied.
Sango came out of her room and gasped when she saw Kagome, but with one look into her eyes, she could see that she needed time. “All I want to know is that you're ok.”
Kagome nodded her head. “In time I think I will be.”
“If you need me, you know where to find me, okay?” Sango offered.
Kagome's eyes welled with new tears. “Thanks, I just want to shower and get some sleep. I promise I will tell you everything later.”
“Alright.” Sango said as she smiled at her friend. She loved her and knew that she was in a world of pain. What she didn't understand is how come Inuyasha seemed clueless as to why she was upset. Perhaps some sort of miscommunication had taken place. `This is something they will have to figure out on their own.' She thought, going into her room.
Her words played around in his head over and over again. Inuyasha couldn't figure out what had caused her to say goodbye to him. He went over the day's events, trying to piece it all together. `She would not have driven three hours to tell me goodbye, would she? So what happened from the time of her arrival until now?' He remembered that he had been holding Jennifer in his arms when he first saw her standing there. `Could it have been jealousy? Is that what she meant by “I hope she makes you happy.” But why would she be jealous unless she wanted more than just friendship? Could that be it? But what did she mean by releasing me of my promises? Gah, this is some nineteenth.' His memory came flooding back to him as he slammed on his breaks. Quickly pulling to the curb, he looked over his shoulder, making sure it was clear to make a U turn.
The hanyou then turned his truck around and headed back, picking up his cell phone to dial her, and once again, he got her voice mail. He hung up and decided to call Sango once again. He just prayed she would let him explain before hanging up on him.
Sango heard the chimes of her phone going off. She reached over to her nightstand, picking it up and read the caller ID. `Shit, there goes the whole staying out of it concept.' She thought as she flipped her phone open. “Love Connection, this is Sango. How may be of service to you?” She joked.
“Very funny, Sango. Has she come home yet?” He asked.
“Yup, would you care to tell me why the hell she came home so upset and not to mention soaking wet?” She drilled.
Inuyasha cringed at her question. “That's just it; I am not sure. I was kinda hoping you could help me out with that.”
“Well, why don't you start at the beginning?” Sango suggested, lying back on her pillow; she had a feeling this might take awhile.
Inuyasha explained what happened from the beginning and he didn't leave any details out, including Jennifer and his over whelming schoolwork. “What do I do now?”
Sango rubbed her eyes. Her friend had made a horrible assumption and now was suffering for it. “Well, do you love her?”
“Of course I do, you know I do.” Inuyasha yelled into the phone.
“No, Inuyasha, I mean really love her.” Sango asked.
“With everything in me, Sango. It's why I am working so hard to finish school early. I want to come home; I want to be with her. I don't want to lose her. Can you help me?” Inuyasha pleaded.
Sango rolled her eyes. “You're such a baka, Inuyasha. Of course I will, but I am warning you. If you hurt her….”
“Yeah, I know. I will walk with a permanent limp. I will be there soon; I just have to make a quick stop. Do me a favor and don't tell her I am coming. I don't want her to run before I can clear the air.” He explained.
“You got it. I will see you soon. Drive carefully, Inuyasha.” She said before clicking her phone closed.
Twenty minutes later a very soaked hanyou stood in Sango's doorway holding a small paper bag. “Inuyasha, you are soaked.” She informed, grabbing a blanket off the sofa and handing it to him.
“Yeah, that kinda happens when you jump in the river while it is raining.” He said sarcastically, wiping the water from his forehead. “Where is she?”
“She came in and took a shower; I think she is in her room sleeping.” She said.
“I need to go up and see her.” Inuyasha said as he turned and prepared to head up the stairs.
“No, not yet. I think you should jump in a shower first. Come on.” She said, dragging him upstairs. “Let me grab some of Miroku's clothes that he left here. You can borrow them.” She went into her room, leaving him standing in the hall then she came back out and handed him some pajama pants and a tee shirt. “It's not much, but it's better than smelling like a river rat.” She whispered to him.
Inuyasha raised an eyebrow at the pajamas and then looked over to Sango as a sly grin slid across his handsome face. “So you and Miroku, huh?”
“Don't make me hurt you, Inuyasha. The bathroom is three doors down and Kagome's room is the second door to the right; there are towels under the bathroom sink. I won't be here when you get out.” Sango whispered as she turned to head back into her room.
“Thank you, Sango.” Inuyasha said before heading to the bathroom. Once inside, he quietly shut the door and placed his new clothes and paper bag on the sink then slid out of his wet clothes and turned on the shower, stepping in. He scrubbed his body and then washed his hair with her soaps. It was her scent and it was like washing himself with her essence; which is what he was hoping he would be doing for real for the rest of the night. Once he was done he shut of the water and dried off. He slid into the cotton pajama bottoms, deciding to forgo the top. After towel drying his hair the best he could he grabbed a brush that smelled of Kagome and ran it through his long hair. Feeling like he was as presentable as he could be, he grabbed his wet clothes and paper bag and made it to her room.
He stood outside her door for what felt like an eternity; for the first time he felt nervous. He had dreamt about what he was going to do a million times, although, never in his dreams had the previous events occurred. He prayed that once he explained what happened she would forgive him and they could be together like he dreamt they could be. `Kagome, my Kagome… I will prove to you that you are my one and only.' He thought as his shaky hand turned the knob. Sliding open the door, he noticed a candle on her nightstand which dimly lit the room. The moment he walked in, her sweet aroma engulfed his senses. Quietly closing the door behind him, he moved closer, his breath hitching at the sight; beautiful didn't even begin to describe her. Wearing a pair of tiny, black, satin bikini panties with a baby doll tank top, she was asleep with one hand tucked behind her head. The top his ridden up to reveal a very, tight set of abs and the faint scent of tears surrounded her as music played in the headset she wore.
He moved to the foot of the bed, his heart pounding in his chest. Here before him lay his entire world and for the first time it felt like it was a million miles away; he'd hurt her, even if it wasn't intentional. Lifting one knee, he leaned on the bed before moving forward to crawl toward her.
Kagome could feel the end of her bed move and she slowly opened her eyes. She thought it might be Sango coming in for those promised details, but after blinking a few times, trying to figure out if she was dreaming or not, she whispered, “Inu…yasha?” The half-demon didn't say anything he just kept crawling toward her until her foot pressed against his chest. “What are you doing here?” She asked in confusion.
He responded to her question by gently taking her foot off his chest and bringing it to his mouth, slipping a toe inside. He heard her gasp reaction and smiled before rolling his tongue around the small appendage the sliding lower to kiss the arch of her foot.
Kagome's heart was pounding. “Are…you real?”
He smiled down at her before leaning in to place kisses along her calf and then biting lightly on her thigh. “Do I feel real, my Kagome?”
Kagome couldn't figure out if she was still dreaming or if this was actual reality. When she felt his teeth lightly bite her thigh she couldn't help the moan that escaped from her throat. “…Yes…but how, why?”
Inuyasha sat back on his heels between her legs. “ How? I drove here. Why? Well there are two reasons: One, because we made a promise to each other and I have no intention of breaking it even if you try to relinquish me of it. The other is because I love you, Kagome; I always have and I always will.”
“But what about that girl?” Kagome asked but was cut off.
“She is just a friend. She twisted her ankle and I was carrying her to her car; I have no interest in her what so ever.” He leant down and placed a hand on each side of her head, aiming for a kiss but was stopped.
“Wait…” Kagome said, placing a hand on his chest. “So you're telling me that you and that girl are not together? If there's no one else, then why have you been avoiding me?” Kagome asked.
Inuyasha felt like such a baka. He moved back and sat on his heels as Kagome rested on her elbows waiting for his answer. “I was never avoiding you. Everything I have been doing is for you, for us. I haven't called because I have been taking extra classes so I can graduate next spring. I have been studying around the clock and have barely had time to sleep, but I swear, there have never been any other girls. I would never allow anyone to come between us, never.”
Kagome was confused. “Why are you taking so many classes and stressing yourself out like this?”
Inuyasha looked deeply into her eyes. “Because it means I can get home to you faster. Don't you see? All this time away from you has confirmed everything I already knew; you are the one for me. You always were and you always will be. I know you feel it. It's why you came to see me today, isn't it?”
Tears welled in her eyes. “Yes, I just needed to see you, be with you.” She sat up and threw her arms around him. “I have missed you so much, sometimes I feel like I can't even breathe. I don't ever want to lose you.”
The hanyou's arms wrapped around her tightly, pulling her against him as he said, “God, I've missed you too. “ He then pulled away to claim her lips with his own, kissing her passionately as he laid her against the pillow. Pulling back a little, he knew he needed to ask the one question that had been heavy in his mind for years.
“Will you let me make love to you, Kagome? Please don't make me wait any longer.”
Kagome placed a hand behind his head, pulling him down for another kiss. Her fingers tightened their grasp on the nape of his neck as she moaned her approval into his mouth, opening her mouth to let his tongue in. As the kiss deepened his body weight laid on top of her and his hips grinded against hers. She could feel his hardened length press against her eager heat and h er whole body lit up with the need for him.
The scent of their mixed arousal hung thick in the air and it made his senses run into overdrive. Her touch, smell, and soft moans were almost enough to send him over the edge as his hips ground against hers harder while his tongue devoured her mouth. When her legs wrapped around his hips and moved against him, he almost lost it. He pulled back from the kiss panting and fisted his hands into her pillow. “Fuck, Kagome, if we don't slow down, I am gonna cum in these pajamas.” He confessed as he buried his face in the crook of her neck.
Kagome giggled at his confession and her legs rose up higher as her toes slid into the waistband of his pajama bottoms, pulling them down. “Then I guess we better remove them, huh?” She whispered in his ear.
Once he was completely naked, he realized that she was still way overdressed and he leant back on his heels once more. He could feel her eyes roaming over his body, taking in everything that he had to offer. “I want to see you naked, Kagome. I want to explore you, feel you, and taste you. I want to memorize every part of you.” His hands slid up her thighs and then under the satin undies, slowly pulling them down her hips. Then he watched as she lifted her hips, helping him, her eyes never leaving his.
Kagome gazed at him as he undressed her, seeing just how much he loved and desired her in his eyes. Once her underwear was discarded, she sat up and lifted her arms, feeling his rough hands journey up her sides and pull the shirt over her head. She now sat before him completely naked. She had always been bashful about being this open with her body, and for some reason with him, it felt so natural.
Inuyasha felt himself harden even further as he stared her down. “Beautiful.” He said as his hands rose to cup her breasts. “You are so beautiful.”
Kagome moaned as his hands began to massage her and her own hand touched his chest, running over one of his hard nipples. Her other hand went south, lightly touching the tip of his length which caused him to hiss out her name. Becoming bolder, she gripped his entire cock, wrapping her fingers around him and giving it a little squeeze. When he bucked into her hand she knew he liked it so she did it again and again until he was panting and thrusting into her hand. When she felt him begin to pinch and twist her already erect nipples, she lost herself in the moment and arched her back as his name left her lips.
His mouth came down hard on hers as his hips continued to advance, sending his staff into her hand; her touch was driving him insane. The hanyou laid her back down on the bed, whining at the sudden loss of her palm. He began trailing his wet, hot tongue down her jaw and then down to her breasts, taking a nipple into his mouth, swirling his tongue around her areola. He began to softly suck then tug until his lips made a popping sound as it escaped his mouth. His hand traveled between her legs, wanting to touch and explore her center. His mouth watered as his finger slid against her very wet mound; her essence was dripping down his fingers and he was not about to let it go to waste.
Kagome couldn't take it anymore. Her body writhed under his as his mouth and hands touched her in places she only dreamt about. She stilled for moment as she felt his fingers run along her nether lips and she couldn't stop her body from trembling. It felt so good and they hadn't even had intercourse yet. Her eyes fluttered closed as she felt his finger enter her heat. “Gods, Inuyasha...” She moaned as she ground into his hand.
Inuyasha watched the expressions of ecstasy roll over Kagome's beautiful features and his cock was so hard, it was becoming excruciatingly painful. He pulled his finger from her heat and licked her juices from his digit. “You taste so good, Kagome. I want more.” He said as he crawled down her body and ran his tongue over her clean-shaven mound. With each flick of his tongue, her hips rose off the bed and he was rewarded with her cries of pleasure. Inuyasha wasted no more time and delved into her heat and mewled at the sweet taste of her nectar.
Kagome began to explode with an orgasm so intense, for a moment she thought she might pass out from the experience. Her body began to tremble as she tried to calm herself down; she had never felt such pleasure before. “Inu..yasha…please….”
Inuyasha was lost in Nirvana. Hearing her scream his name was pure bliss and he wanted more and more of it. He pulled himself away from his treat and licked his lips as he heard her plead with him. Pulling himself up, he leaned over and grabbed a smooth thigh, lifting her knee to his chest to position his erection at her entrance. Every breath was heavy with anticipation and he could feel her gripping his arms as she waited for him to fill her. Dipping his thick head into her wet heat, he groaned at the pleasurable feel; she was so warm, moist and soft. Gently retreating, he sucked in a sharp breath as he advanced once more, going a bit deeper than the last time, repeating the action again and again to prepare her for the whole of him.
Kagome was readying herself for the pain she knew was to come, watching him enter her and noting the strained look on his face as he held back for her benefit; he wanted to spare her as much discomfort as possible. With a deep breath, she thrust upward as he moved toward her, filling herself to the hilt. Her fingernails dug into his arms deeply as the pain ripped through her nether region and she closed her eyes, waiting for the burn to subside. When it had, she opened her eyes to see concerned amber staring back at her.
“Are you ok? Do you want to stop?” Inuyasha asked; he hadn't been prepared to see her in so much agony.
“No, I want this. Please, don't stop.” Kagome implored as she cupped his cheek. To prove her words, she tightly wrapped her legs around his hips, rising to take him deeper, watching as his eyes slammed closed. “Make love to me, Inuyasha.”
The hanyou pulled away just to fill her once again, and with every dip into her wet folds, she met him with a thrust of her own. Their speed picked up until he was bucking into her with wild abandon. “Fuck… you feel so fuckin' good. I'm gonna cum inside you so fuckin' hard… nnnnggh!” He growled in pleasure as his hips slapped hard against her, then he pulled the other knee back, thrusting even deeper inside her depths.
Kagome's head rolled back onto her pillow and she screamed as a second orgasm rocked her body. “Ahh…ahhh…ahhh… I'm cumming….” With each spasm of her wet pussy, he rammed into her hard and harder until he exploded deep within her.
“Kagome…” Inuyasha moaned as the last of his seed spilled from him. He let go of her knees and fell on top of her; wrapping his arms around her tightly. “I love you, Kagome.” He murmured softly against her neck.
Kagome wrapped her arms around him as tears slid down her cheeks. “I love you too, Inuyasha. More than you could ever know.”
He lifted his head, looking down at her. “I am going to marry you, Kagome, and I promise, I will spend the rest of my life making you happy. That's if you'll have me?”
Kagome choked on a giggle as more tears fell from her eyes. “Now, how can a girl refuse an offer like that? You know I will. I love you so very much.”
“I love you, too.” He whispered, sealing his words with a kiss.
