Secret Life

Flashback

A small boy with silver hair and a red kimono ran through the forest. Four village boys close behind.

"Oi half-breed who said we were done”, rang through the trees.

"Yeah I was havin fun with our game".

"Five points if you pull on his ears till they bleed” Sang two other voices.

The small boy ran faster than before trying to escape the torture he knew was coming if he were to be caught. He looked for a second stopping to catch his breath and to scan the area for an escape. The boys were catching up and there was no way out he was trapped on a cliff. With little hope the boy began to chant struggling to remember every word from the scripture his mother had taught him. Soon everything around him started to glow and the boys who were chasing him were blown back by a mysterious wind when they looked back he was gone.

Izayoi looked out the window just in time to see her son appear outside the house ,he looked flustered and tired. She knew what had happened and thanked Kami that she taught him that scripture. As he walked in she looked down at her son Inuyasha.

Present

"Come on wench stop slacking", Inuyasha yelled over his shoulder,” not my fault you over packed once again”, he over emphasized.

"You of all people have no right to complain this pack has first aid which has saved you numerous times”, Kagome snaps back.

"No one asked you to do that besides”, he huffed” I can heal on my own strength unlike you ningen".

`Theiralways fighting why can't they get along for one day just one day please'Shippo thought.

"Itai", screamed Miroku

"Hentai it's like this everyday give it a rest already" Sango shouted, “ this is putting too much stress on my hirakotsu".

"Gomen Sango but isn't most of the stress going to my head" Miroku calmly stated. Shippo couldn't take it anymore. He instantly jumped up and screamed.

"Will everyone just shut up and stop fighting please!!"

"Lady Kagome do you sense that" Miroku questioned.

Kagome and Inuyasha stopped and looked around." Hai there's a demon near that has two... no three fragments of the jewel" Kagome answered.

"Climb on and let's go Kagome, which direction?"

"No need to look mortals I'm here so give me the shards or die!"At that moment a demon came in tearing apart the forest

"No way are we giving the fragments to a piece of scum like you!" Inuyasha spat.

"Oh big talk for a half-breed like yourself".

"This half-breed's gonna kick your ass!" Inuyasha looked to kagome to be told where the jewel was located and unsheathed tetsuaiga.

"Using a sword how pathetic. There's no need you're going to die either way"

"Hirakotsu!" The bone went soaring for the demons head which was dodged easily.

"Human I suggest you back off before I lose my temper...TOO LATE!"

He shouted while lunging toward Sango, but Miroku stepped in the way and was hit "houshi-sama!” she cried.

"I'm o.k. really" Miroku protested as she ran over to help him.

"No I'm staying to protect you"

"Arigato Sango-chan", he murmured as he fainted.

"Inuyasha!” kagome screamed as she ran over with her sacred arrows.

"No kagome stay with Sango and Shippo" Inuyasha ordered.

She nodded and ran over to them. The demon and Inuyasha stared at each other for a moment before Inuyasha struck using tetsuaiga.

"I knew that sword of yours would be bothersome” the demon sneered before easily swiping the sword out of Inuyasha's hands.

Everyone stared in shock as the sword went flying and landed a few feet away from the battle.

"Damn I need to get my tetsuaiga back or use my other powers, but then everyone will know”

Miroku who had woke up witnessed the tetsuaiga fly out of Inuyasha's hands and tried to limp over to retrieve it for his friend. Inuyasha could already feel his demon blood rising at the sign that him and his friends were in danger growled causing Miroku to stop.

"No Miroku it's my fight” `Ihave to use them or I'll fully turn demon'.

Everyone watched in amazement at what Inuyasha then did. Inuyasha began to chant as the earth around him became a bluish color. He then bends down and pulls a staff out of the ground. He summons fire and the demon is disintegrated.

At that time everyone ran to encourage the now tired hanyou except Miroku who stood a few feet away in his fighting stance. He knew what had just occurred and wasn't going to take it lightly.

"Is everyone o.k." Miroku asks.

They nod and mutter that they were fine. Inuyasha on the other hand walks by not wanting to make eye contact with anyone.

"Inuyasha may I ask but didn't you just use a mage powers just now”

Inuyasha looks backed to Miroku openly showing that he was indeed shocked.

"Inuyasha... if I can even call you that” Miroku questioned, "who are you really"

All eyes were now on him.
