Inuko could feel her body getting ready to lounge and dodge, with every heart bit more blood was pumped into through her body, rushing in streams to refill her every corner. Her beating was getting louder, stronger, she felt the desire coiling in her belly, fight, fight, she craved the unleashing of her emotions. She craved to let go so much she could not believe she hadn't realized before how enjoyable fighting was. She had being a crybaby when she was little, avoiding fights and keeping her cousins form fighting each other. But fighting was good, to release dealings, to let go and be free.
“So, you are the stray dog my brother took home” the voice was petulant and high pitched.
“I'm no stray, kitten” her quick replay made the cat froze for a couple of seconds. tThe brown eyes focused on the dog youkai dressed in her brother's family colors.
“Those clothes…” she choked in her own rage.
“What's with them?”
“Take `em off!”
“You gotta be kidding” Inuko poised one of her clawed hands on her hips putting her weight in one foot while she fingered the rich silk obi. “I love them, there's no way I'm taking them off”
“Take them off! Now!” the neko girl leaped at her but Inuko was ready. Using the same technique she had seen Koharu used, she dodged the girls blows easily. They looked like dance steps circling in the big room, Inuko avoiding the pillows and candles, the cat jumping around them trying to gain ground but always at a safe distance, trying not to get punched by her.
“Are you afraid of getting hit? Are you a little chicken cat?”
Hissing the pink haired lady stood on the center of the room. Her claws had grown a lot in those minutes, Inuko wondered whether they grew at her will when she proposed to fight someone. She was smirking, the girl was clumsier than her, maybe more experienced in youkai things having grown in a clan like this one but she was older, and her body, regardless her not maturing state was more developed, it responded to her thoughts in a mechanical almost unconscious way.
“I'm not afraid of anything!”
“Good. Because I don't care to fight someone whose afraid of me!”
Inuko launched herself backwards doing a flip flop on her hands and kicking the cat on her fall, her legs then reaching out and grabbing her by the neck, throwing her to the other side of the room. She had no idea were had that movement come from. Nor did she cared, she let her instincts got hold of her some more. She moved so much better when she did so she no longer wanted to reason anymore.
The girl, tossed her kimono skirt aside, revealing a pair of shorts really tight over her thighs. She stood once more, and aiming at her stomach flung a blow with all her strength, blocking it with both hands, Inuko's face was left unguarded and even dodging the next blow the overgrown claws grazed her cheek leaving a dash that started bleeding. She brushed the liquid aside, not even feeling the pain.
Catching the hand of the girl in a fluid motion, she crossed the room fast enough not to let her escape; spanning her around till she collapsed against the wall, she pinned her there doubling her arm and pressing her elbow.
“Now, please tell me, why do you want to fight me? I've done nothing to you, I don't even now you” she grasped her last coherent thoughts trying to find a reason for all of this.
“You are a filthy bitch!!!”
“I'm a bitch but not at all filthy” She sighted.
This girl was obviously furious. She didn't have stripes on her face but her slightly pointed ears pointed her as a full youkai. Not one very powerful of course. It was very bothersome to fight someone blinded with rage, her movements were rushed and pointless. Hold a minute, when did she start to know so much about how to fight?
“Why are you here?! You should get out of this village tight now!!!”
“She wont go anywhere” Koharu's voice had an annoyed edge. He entered with quick steps and clasping Inuko's shoulder pushed her away from the cat girl. The girl moved slowly, turning without looking at him. “I told Maeba I didn't want you here. You disobeyed me, on purpose”
Her shoulder slumped and her frame seemed to shrink. Her fiery attitude lost somewhere in those few seconds. Her long bangs touched her nose, her lips pulled close in a tight line.
“Don't bother playing your little act” he slapped her, her hair lifting but her head barely moving. Inuko could tell she was used to this sort of treatment. When she lifted her head, Inuko gave a step back, her brown eyes were burning and she was really pissed of. As it seemed or the slap had being real soft or she could handle much more.
“You brought an inu youkai to your house when you have dismissed all of the maids father chose for you! Even me! All of the heirs of the small neko clans of Japan subordinated to our father's! For this?! For an inu youkai that doesn't behave like a lady should and has nothing to prove her worthy of you my lord! You are our hope! Our heir!!!” She sobbed almost.
Inuko didn't understand a thing. What the hell was she talking about? He stared motionless, maybe equally surprised as she was at the odd behavior of the cat girl.
“You hurt her” He hadn't even paid attention to her! Moving his face close to Inuko he ordered her to stay still. He licked her wound; she flinched at first but did as she was told and quickly stilled.
“It tickles” she mumbled touching it, there was no wound anymore.
“We cat's can heal others; it's… a trade mark, you could say. Now sit there, I've got something to talk to my little sister” He made a strong remark on the word before go on talking. “I'll be right back, while I'm out you may start eating”

He left her without looking back, taking Ira by the arm. Pulling her into the corridor behind his quarters he forced her to enter into a deserted room. It was humid and a bit dusty, dim lighted in the corners.
“You bastard…” her hiss reminded him of what he was about to do. Throwing her to the corner he crouched on the floor. The cat lady made herself smaller after hitting the ground with a soft echoed thump.
He couldn't believe she was such a weakling, sharing his own blood, she was a disgrace. He couldn't help comparing her with Inuko, she had left Ira bruised, tired and sweating and all the while looking fragile and sweet. His half sister was perhaps a bit younger than Inuko, and she was a princess, but she had being taught how to fight, something his beautiful inu pet hadn't and see how the fight had turned. He had seen the whole fight, choosing not to interrupt it to watch how she would reaction. Her moves were amazing, she had learned a lot just from fighting him one time. Indeed, she was a marvelous creature, he had to won her no matter what.
“Stand”
She did as asked, coming forward her eyes cast down. He caressed her cheek, slowly in very caring strokes, outlining the bone of her jaw. Pausing he retreated his hand before hitting her hard with the palm of his hand. She moved slightly backward.
“Thanks, Koharu-sama, for not punching me. I appreciate it a lot”
“Father would die if I left you marked, it's not for you but for the old man” he turned, not looking at her.
“Thank you, anyway.”
“You have anything left to say to me?”
“No, my lord”
“Fine, since you disobeyed me on purpose. I won't discipline you, a guard will be send to you to do it, one from my own company, one who wont be tricked by you into not doing it. I shall not get my hands filthy with you anymore.”
He saw how that hurt her, it was one thing to let him discipline her but to send a guard to do so was an offense straight to her pride.
“Is it because of her?” she managed to speak after swallowing her tears several times.
“Yes. Does it bother you?”
“Yes, it does.” Her character spiked again. She would have clashed her claws with him but he was a much better fighter than her. She knew her limits, if they fought he'd have the perfect excuse to reduce her to a crying kitten and bruise her without having to face their father.
“Live with it and beware of hurting her again.”
She went outside after doing a deep bow to him, closing the door with no sound. Fucking woman, she could blow his plans away if he didn't control her. He wasn't afraid of her hurting Inuko, only of Inuko learning how to fight properly before he had her under his control and at his direct orders and most of all, before she became his mate.

Inuko had problems calming herself after they left, her blood boiled with excitement. She had wanted the fight to go on forever, not to stop because of his arrival. Even if he had looked simply gorgeous dressed in another black kimono, that instead of her cherrie blossoms had bamboo leaves in deep green shades. His obi was violet too, darker than hers and had tiny moons in golden and the knot tying it at his back was plain and small, not luscious and flowing in cascades like the one making it impossible to sit comfortably over the cushions. Way more appropriate for a fight too, as she had discovered each time she jumped, the annoying thing getting in her way.
Taking the plate and placing it in her lap she started feasting on the fruit, juicy looking pieces arranged in a colorful design, smelling even better than they looked. Melon sliced in cubes that poured juice on her fingers and grapes that were as sweet as honey. She noted that there were strawberries and cherries too. Not the typical fruits she was used to eat, like apples, peaches, oranges and pears. Of course there were some of them, sliced in triangles with great art. It was almost a shame to have to eat them, they looked so lovely all the colors in a picture vivid and juicy.
“Like them?” his purr made her jump, she had lost track of time while eating. Or else he had been real fast, anyway, she couldn't care less.
“Yes, they are… just perfect”
“Glad you like them”
He sat next to her, toying with the tips of some loose strand of her hair. When his claws grazed her nape she almost choked on a grape, her face blushed and not knowing how to cover her blunt reaction.
“Drink this” he tipped a glass to her lips making her drink a sweet nectar the color of berries.
“What is this?”
“It's our own liquor, made of strawberries and cherries, well… and some other ingredients that are a secret” playfully he tipped the tip of her nose and smiled.
She looked perfect, her lips red from the liquor and her cheeks rosy pink. He stroked the green stripes.
“They are darker than they first were” He mumbled as if unaware of her hearing him.
“Well, they appeared a few days ago, so …” He looked shocked. “… What?”
“Didn't you get this after maturing? You are old for stripes to appear; pups get their stripes when they are few days old!!”
“What?! What are you taking about?” She didn't have the slightest clue about what was he talking about. He started to remove his kimono. “What are you doing!?”
“Relax, I only wanted to show you mines.” he left the cloth hanging form his obi.
“Here, feel the texture, it's always silky, as if the skin renewed itself continuously.”
Grasping her hand, not letting her pull away, he forced her hand to trail his violet stripes that run above his abs and the pair that crossed his shoulder, taking delight in how her fingers caressed him ever so lightly he could barely feel the fingertips. She was turning red by the second, both for feeling him and seeing him, his muscular body impressive, deep canalled abs and thin waist.
“So… A few days ago, you said.” Now he trailed hers, only that touch seemed so, hmm, erotic, she cursed herself for having those thoughts. She loved one and only one, how could she be turned on for someone else she hardly knew? Even if the guy was so hot. Damn, again that trail of thoughts was no good.
“Yes.” She had no intention of explaining to him all of her secrets, less of all the particular bit about her maturing. She knew youkai picked mates with different standards that humans married so she was, she hated to admit, clueless in those matters.
“Are these clothes special?” Desperate for a change in the conversation, she resorted to the first one that sprang to mind. She recalled the anger in the girl when she saw her wearing them. Besides that, she had worn a red kimono and a blue obi with mountain and bird's patterns. Quite the opposite to the elegant robe she was wearing, not that it was poor or not made of silk; on the contrary they were both very rich, for wealthy and powerful people but the design could tell a lot about the one who wore a kimono, and about the purpose of the maker when the piece of clothing had being done.
“Yes. Bright one. They are.” He had obviously realized the drastic change of conversation but it doesn't seem to bother him too much.
“Why?”
“Because of the colors, these are my colors.”
“Because the obi is the same color of your eyes?” She sounded so childish sometimes, it amused him like nothing had in a long time.
“Jajaja. No, no, it is because those are my colors. You see, every house, or neko clan has a color to be identified; in the case of the royalty, two. Since I'm the heir, my clan is the most important one and those allowed to wear my colors, are identified as my most trusted ones. That way every villager respects and honors them. Soldiers dress in these colors too, but they are not as pretty as you and they use uniforms, so don't worry, you won't be mistaken for one.”
“You gave me these clothes to wear… Do you trust me?” She was very surprised.
“Yes, I do.”
“Why?”
“I'd rather don't answer you. Now eat some more, there's still plenty in your plate”
And he gave her a tiny piece of melon into her mouth. Her lips parting for the fruit were a sight he wanted to enjoy forever. Right now he wanted to be the fruit too much, and if she found out where his blood was going at this precise moment, he'd scare her and turn her away form him. Lifting, he went to reorder the spilled candles that had being thrown everywhere in the fight. She felt puzzled for a moment then simply shrugged and continued eating.
The light turned dim in the room, she felt how the sun's warmness went away receiving the cold kiss of the moon. The kimono kept her warm, it was almost as if she felt the warmness came from deep inside of her and the cold was kept on the outside. She had never felt like this before the fever but it wasn't unpleasant at all; maybe it was an improvement due to her maturement whatever that meant, after all.
A/N: Guys, I haven't got the plot clear enough right now, so this was mostly a filler, developing the relationship between her and Koharu. Anyway, he isn't the love of her life so rest easy. I'm a Seshoumaru's lover, take a guess whose I'm pairing him with. *whink*
