Then her lips left his to find his ears, her warm breath blowing inside of them as she struggled to find her words, her arms found their way to his neck, her fingers traced the beads of the rosary a soft pink aura radiated from her slender fingers and the charm that held the beads around his neck dissipated and the beads fell away scattering down his chest.

 

“Your free now Inuyasha you can go home, go back to your world be with Kikyo, I love you and I want you to be happy so go, forget about me I'll be ok now because you loved me, you loved me for one night, just like I asked you to” she sobbed into his ear before retreating off of him to stand on her bedroom floor pulling a dressing gown around her and gathering his clothes for him.

 

“Kagome…I…I…” he stuttered again cursing himself for not saying three words as he stood and began edging towards her.

 

“Here you go Inuyasha” she said handing him his clothes attempting to smile through her tears as she waited for him to take his clothes and leave her forever.

 

“Kagome……….Kagome I …I love you” he practically shouted as he jumped up in his naked form to embrace her pulling her into his chest.

 

“Please Inuyasha don't lie to me this hurts enough as it is, so just take your clothes and go, look after the others for me and tell them…tell them that I love them and promise me that you'll be happy” she said before pulling away from him, her arm now outstretched handing him his clothes, her tears still falling from eyes that preferred to stare at the floor than meet his own.

 

Taking his clothes from her outstretched arm he dressed silently. Once more he was fully clothed in his usual red fire rat kimono.

 

“Kagome look at me” he whispered.

 

“I can't just go Inuyasha” she sobbed still refusing to look up.

 

“Kagome please just…just look at me” he pleaded softly.

 

“Why……” she asked through her tears.

 

“Because I want you to look at me… I want you to see my face when I tell you…when I tell you that I love you again…because I do Kagome you're my world …please I want you to believe me… don't leave me alone Kagome…you said you'd stay by my side” he whispered edging closer to her and taking her small hand in his.

 

“Are you telling me that Kikyo means nothing to you…that you don't love her anymore because if you do, I… I cant stay with you, I know I promised but it hurts too much because I love you so much” she asked raising her tear stricken face so she could meet his.

 

“Yes Kagome I'm telling you that I don't love Kikyo anymore I have never truly loved her honestly I didn't know the meaning of the dam word until I met you, you saved me Kagome you showed me what it feels like to be loved, to be loved for me and not who I could be or what I could do for others. Kikyo used me Kagome, she never loved me, she wanted me to use the jewel to become human so I could rid her of the burden of being the jewels protector but even her false love, it kept me from drowning in my loneliness the loneliness that had surrounded me since the day my mother died and for that I'm grateful to her. I will avenge her death but I wont go to hell with her, I couldn't leave you, I want to be with you Kagome, I… I love you…so please just say that you love me too and that you'll stay with me” he pleaded desperately as he wrapped his arms around her pulling her into his embrace.

 

“Oh Inuyasha I love you” she sobbed into his chest.

 

“Then stay with me Kagome please stay with me” he begged.

 

“Do you mean it Inuyasha do you really love me” she whispered through her tears.

 

“Yes Kagome I love you more than anything” he confessed.

 

“I know I've hurt you and that I'm just a worthless Hanyou and that I really don't deserve your love considering I also have nothing to offer you apart from my heart. I'll understand if you don't want to be with me Kagome just don't hate me” he begged.

 

“Inuyasha I could never hate you and your heart is all that I want I don't need anything else as long as I have you” she smiled wiping away her tears.

 

“So you'll stay with me then?” he whispered.

 

“Of course I will I don't know what I was thinking when I thought I could live without you” she said now looking up and smiling at him.

 

“Oh Kagome I'm so glad” he whispered.

 

“Me to I love you Inuyasha” she sighed happily.

 

“Uh Kagome I have another problem do you think you could fix it” he asked grinning.

 

“Sure what is it Inuyasha” she asked.

 

“Um well you see I don't think my body's had enough of you” he growled seductively.
