"Kagome there you are!" Jason sounded frantic as he rushed up to her.
"What's wrong Jason?" Kagome asked not sounding to interested. In the restaurant business something was always wrong.
"We have a problem. Kate quit and I need you to tend bar."
"Kate quit? Why did she quit?"
"That doesn't matter. What matters is that I need you to tend bar. Will you do it?"
"No."
"NO!"
"Jason you know as well as I do that bartenders make less than the wait staff."
"C'mon Kag I'm in a bind. You know where everything is. You know wines and how to mix drinks."
"So in other words you need me." Kagome told him smiling slightly. "OK I'll do it." Jason relaxed in relief. "On three conditions."
"What are the conditions?" Jason asked her warily.
"One, I keep my regular salary. Two, I get tipped by the wait staff and three I get to keep any tips I make at the bar."
"Done." Jason told her. "Now go get changed. Kate's uniform should still be in her locker.
Kagome went down to the staff changing room to get dressed wondering what happened to Kate. It wasn't like her to just up and quit like that. She'd have to call her later. As Kagome walked into the staff locker room she was jerked out of her musings by the site of Sango and Mirouku making out against the far wall.
When they didn't notice her after a few seconds Kagome cleared her throat softly, them a little louder. Finally she went over and leaned against the wall next to them.
"AHEM!" Kagome said loudly. That finally got the couples attention as they quickly jumped apart. "Now normally I would utilize my voyeuristic tendencies, but I have to get dressed. And I don't want you using your voyeuristic tendencies Mirouku. Get out."
"Uh right. I'll catch you later Sango." Mirouku told her while making a hasty retreat. Kagome looked over at Sango who was busy trying to fix her hair and makeup. Kagome didn't say anything just smiled and started to get dressed.
"So," Kagome finally broke the silence, "the rumors about Mirouku..."
"Totally false." Sango told her turning to face Kagome with a hint of a blush.
"Believe me I know."
"Slut." Kagome said fondly.
"Damn right."

Kagome was just finishing setting up the bar as the restaurant opened. As she climbed the rolling ladder to get down a bottle of wine she heard a long whistle from behind her.
"Hello Inuyasha." Kagome answered sounding slightly annoyed as she came down
the ladder.
"Nice outfit." Inuyasha told her while looking her up and down. Kagome hated the bartenders uniform which consisted of black dress pants, a fitted white tuxedo jacket, and a black bow tie.
"Is there something I can do for you Inuyasha?" Kagome asked him as he took a seat at the bar.
"How bout a drink?" Kagome quickly pulled him a beer from the tap.
"You have your drink Inuyasha. Now hurry up and drink it I have real customers to serve."
"Don't you think it's about time to start showing me some respect?" Inuyasha asked her. "You could start by calling me Lord Inuyasha."
"You're fucking my sister and before that you were trying to fuck me. I can call you what I like and treat you how I like."
"Jealous?"
"Disgusted." Kagome countered. "And the next time you feel like getting a blow job from my stepsister make sure you clean her off first before you send her into the house."
"My, my Kagome. I didn't know you cared." Inuyasha sneered at her trying to cover up his embarrassment. "But you're stating to bore me. So is there a point to all this hostility?"

"And so do you little brother." A glacial voice cut in. "You seem to forget that she works for me and I will not have my employees mistreated by you or anyone."

"WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU SAY BITCH?!" Inuyasha yelled as he reached over the bar and grabbed her arm roughly. Sessoumaru who had witnessed all this with surpressed rage finally had enough. Sessoumaru reached over and grabbed Inuyasha's free arm forcing him to let go of Kagome.
"Sessoumaru..."Inuyasha ground out between his clenched teeth. But he never got a chance to finish what he was going to say. Sessoumaru reached back and drove his hand into Inuyasha's face sending him sprawling on the ground.
"Get up." He told Inuyasha in frosty tones. His gold eyes hard and unyielding. "You think to come into my restaurant and start acting like a fool?" Sessoumaru stalked him. Forcing Inuyasha to back up. "You will leave my restaurant you are no longer welcome here, and you can be sure that Father will hear of your actions.
Inuyasha looked around the restaurant. He saw that they had gathered an audience of the wait staff and the early diners.
"You will pay for embarrassing me like this Sessoumaru." Inuyasha vowed.
"You've embarrassed yourself. Now get out." Sessoumaru told him unsympathetically
As Inuyasha left in a huff Sango rushed over to Kagome.
"Jason offer the early diners a drink on the house and get your wait staff back to work."
"Yes sir. Okay people shows over get back to work." Jason called out.
"Also Jason if my brother should happen to come back call me immediately."
"Yes sir." Jason repeated and left. Now to find out what that was all about. With grim determination he walked over to Kagome determined to get some answers.

"Yeah I'm sure." Kagome sighed. "I shouldn't have provoked him."
"What were you supposed to do?" Sango asked indignantly. "Just let him talk to you like that?!"
"Kagome I would like a word with you."
"I'll talk to you later OK?" Sango told her. Then giving Sessoumaru a warning look. She went to check on her tables.
"Mr.Sahashi I am so sorry. I never should have allowed the problem to go as far as bothering the customers." Kagome apologized.
"Kagome it's not your fault. It's my idiot brother's. I don't know what's going on with him but he was out of line."
"Thank you for understanding." Kagome told him gratefully. She then noticed him flexing his hand. "Did you hurt your hand?" Kagome lifted his right hand and looked over his knuckles. "Let's get this into some ice. Trust me I know how hard headed Inuyasha is."
Kagome sat him down at the bar and started to fill a Champaign bucket with ice where she gently put his hand.
"There you go Mr.Sahashi. Keep it there for a while." Kagome told him. As he sat there the orders started to pour in for drinks. He sat and watched as Kagome kept a cool head as she filled orders for wine, mixed drinks and everything else.
"So what's with the calling Mr.Sahashi all of a sudden?" Sessoumaru asked her.
"Well we are at work. I could call you by your title if you prefer?"
"No, that's not necessary. What I would like is to know what was with the incident between you and my brother." Sessoumaru noticed that she lost her composure for a second as she spilled some of the whiskey she was pouring. She quickly recovered however.
"I'd rather not discuss it."
"Not good enough." Sessoumaru told her unfeelingly.
"It's long, complicated, and involved."
"I just so happen to love stories like that. Do you have a ride home this evening?"
"No..."
"Fine I'll drive you home then." Sessoumaru told her with finality. "At that time I expect to hear the entire story." Sessoumaru pulled his hand out of the ice and it off before getting up to go to his office above the bar.
"Sessoumaru!" Kagome called out to him before he got onto the elevator that would take him to his office. He turned to see what she wanted. "You...you don't
remember me do you?"
"Remember you...?"
"It doesn't matter. I see you later." Kagome then went back to work. Leaving Sessoumaru to wonder what she ment.

As Kagome got into Sessoumaru's car that evening she leaned back in the seat and let out deep breath. She was now going to have to tell Sessoumaru something that she seriously did NOT want to relive. As he got in and started the car Kagome reached into her bag and pulled out a CD which she put into the player. Sessoumaru rased an eyebrow at this but Kagome ignored him. If he was going to force her to tell her deepest darkest secrets than she was damn well going to be relaxed and comfortable while she did.
As Tamia's Officially Missing You came on she noticed Sessoumaru's sharp look. It was in fact the song Siren had sung that night.

Kagome was silent until he pulled into her backyard. Just as he was about to lose his temper and DEMAND that she answer him Kagome turned and looked at him.
"Come in for something to drink." She told him softly before she got out of the car. As Sessoumaru followed her he saw that the door she opened into a large kitchen. She threw her keys onto the counter and motioned for him to have a seat. As Sessoumaru sat down Kagome turned on a few small lights giving an atmosphere of intimacy.
Kagome wandered around the kitchen fixing hot chocolate for them both. After she had given them both mugs and put cream and some sort of red pepper on the table she finally sat down across from him.
"Okay you've had time to get yourself together." Sessoumaru told her in a voice that he was nearing the end of his patience. "Tell me what's going on."
