“A doctor. I never would have guessed.” Inuyasha sat in the edge of her hospital bed. Talking had been a sure-fire way to weasel his way into Kagome's life. He felt somewhat at piece that she hadn't mated or even gone out with anyone since he left her. Sure he was selfish but he was also in love.

 

“What ever happened between you and Kikyo?” Inuyasha sucked in a deep breath. He knew this question was coming, he just was not ready for it.

“There was these girls. Their names were Yasuka and Karena.” Kagome scooted up on her bed to hear the tale.

 

 

The blue haired wolf demoness stood on top of Inuyasha's chest. He couldn't move, barely breath. She looked at him with a fiery hatred.

“Do you know who we are?”

 

Inuyasha groaned in protest.

“Me thinks your standing on his wind pipe.” The purple haired demon laughed. She was a fox demon. They both bore resemblance to Kagome and they both graced themselves with weapons unlike any he had ever seen.

“We are the Higurashi sisters and we think that you have been disloyal to one of our clan members.”

“You two sure don't look as if you come from the same clan. You do know that you aren't even form the same species?” The fox demon kicked him in the side.

 

“Hush, insolent one! Our father was promiscuous! We seek the one they call Kagome.”

Inuyasha stilled.

“Why?”

 

“She is the one you betrayed with Kikyo. Do you not remember when our father, Shitomaru, Lord of the Southern lands, betrothed her to you?”

“I…no, no I don't.”

 

“She was cast away into a well when father was murdered. She and her mother, brother and grandfather live in a different time. Do you know where to find her?”

 

 

“That's when I told them what I had done. The well was sealed and I couldn't take back my mistake.”

 

Kagome sat in awe for some time.

“So, I'm a hanyou?”

“Yeah I guess.”

“What type?”

“Umm…”

 

“I have more family in the feudal era?”

“I suppose.”

Kagome began to rant and rave about life. How she never knew her father, how she never felt truly human. Inuyasha watched, as even in her injured state she was beautiful. She caught him smiling at her and she followed up on her question.

 

“You told me how you got here but what of Kikyo?”

“She went with Naraku.”

“Oh.” Kagome and Inuyasha sat in silence for a long while.

 

“I would like to go home.”
