InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Seeing You Once More ❯ Decesions and the Springs ( Chapter 4 )
Seeing You Again- Chapter 4- Decisions and Springs
-_-_-_-_-Flashback from last chapter-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Kagome walked outside and yelled for Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kirara. Kagome stepped back inside the hut and stopped in the door way. Her eyes were big, and confusion and fear was eched in her face.
"Kagome you ok?" Sango asked from behind her, placing a hand on the young girl's shoulder.
"Kaede, Sango, Inuyash."
"What is it Kagome?"
"What's up Kagome?"
"What trouble ye child?"
"What's a statue doing in you're hut?"
-_-_-_-_-End Flashback-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
"What are you talking about Kagome?"
"Yes, what are ye talking about child?"
"Don't you see it? It's right where the fire should be."
Kagome walked to the center of the hut reaching out to touch the statue in the center of the room. Her delicate fingers were just millimeters from touching the statue, when it vanished. She was startled by the disappearance, and then felt a high heat on her lower legs when she felt herself falling forward towards the now replaced fire. Inuyasha watched Kagome start to fall towards the fire, and leaped out over the fire, pulling Kagome back by the shoulders. Inuyasha wrapped his other hand around her back to keep her from falling backwards. He let her catch her balance before lashing questions at her.
"Are you crazy Kagome!? You almost walked/fell in to the fire! What were you thinking?"
"I'm not crazy Inuyasha." Kagome said trying to say in a convincing tone. "I saw a statue where the fire was supposed to be. It was one of the relics that's not that far from my house. I would know it anywhere! I pass it when ever I go to and from school."
The room went silent for a moment. Everyone, even Kagome, stood still as they all absorbed the information that was just stated. It was shocking, most times if Kagome was saying this it would be in her normal voice, but this time it was low, desperate, and serious. He knew she was telling the truth by the tone of her voice and her bodylanguage. But, the question now was why is this happening?
"Kagome-chan, are you positive that you saw the statue from your era?" Sango asked in an inquisitive and yet comforting voice, staring into the fire where the statue was supposed to be.
"She saw it Sango. Listen to her. She's not kidding." Inuyasha said, backing up what Kagome had been claming.
"Hai. I am serious. I did see it, but I don't know why though."
The room went quite for a while again. No one quite knew what to say.
"Kagome, why don't you and Sango go to the springs for a while. Relax. Both you girls have had hard days."
"That sound's great Kaede-sama!" Kagome said enthusiastically. She went over to her bag grabbing swimsuits, shampoo, conditioner, soap, brushes, and towels for her and Sango.
"I'll go with you Sango! You never know what could be out in the woods with the Shinkon-No-Tama complete." Miroku said trying to get a chance to watch the girls bathe.
"What am I going to do with you Miroku?" Sango sighed, her head down, eye twitching, fists balling.
Kagome on the other hand had a sweat-drop type look, "I think we'll be fine Miroku."
"Ay, Miroku. Kagome is right. I also need to talk to you here."
"Really?"
"Hai, you and Inuyasha."
"Oh, then we'll be off then! See you soon Miroku! Inuyasha! Behave you two!" Kagome yelled dragging Sango by the hand so she wouldn't kill Miroku, and so she could get her long deserved bath.
When the girls were out of hearing range Kaede stated to speak again.
"First of all, before we talk about the matter at hand I need to ask on question. Miroku, has you hand cleared up?"
"Hunh?"
"Wha? My hand...my hand. I...I...no it hasn't." Miroku looked at his cursed hand, a slight sadness touching his face.
"It hasn't Miroku!? Does Sango know?" Inuyasha asked, more worried about how Sango was taking this.
"No, she doesn't. Don't tell her either. This is one less thing she needs to worry about."
"Miroku, you can't do that to her. She worries about you every day. I won't say anything, but make the right choice."
"I will Inuyasha. Don't worry. So what else do you need to talk to us about?"
"It's about Kagome."

"Ahh. This feels so good!" Kagome said lowering herself in to the spring. Sure it stung when the cuts on her stomach touched the water, but overall it felt good. Sango was all ready submerged, trying to wash the dried blood from her body.
"Hai it does Kagome-chan."
"Sango-chan,"
"Hai Kagome-chan."
"Do you think I'm going crazy?"
"No. No I don't. Why do you ask?"
"Well, I guess I just wanted to know if my friends believe me when I say that I am seeing and hearing things from my era..."
"You're hearing things now also?" Sango asked with a curious tone now.
"Actually I was hearing things before the whole statue incident."
"Kagome-chan, what are we going to do with you?" Sango said comically, now cleaning her hair.
Kagome laid back, leaning against the rocks surrounding the spring. The villagers had really cleaned up these springs, adding a nice bordering of rocks around the pools, and planting trees and flowers around the area to add privacy to the once out in the open springs.
'So many things have changed so fast,' Kagome thought closing her eyes, taking in the peaceful effect that the springs gave her. 'So much has happened...Naraku...Inuyasha....the fight....Kouga...Kagome...Kagome....KAGOME!!!'
"Wha?"
"You were dazing off with soap in your hair. I thought you would want to wash it out. Hey you ok?"
"Hunh...yea. I'm fine. How are you doing your self. A lot has happened, especially to you. Are you all right Sango-chan?"
"In a matter of words yes, but I guess I really haven't had time to really mourn. I miss him so much."
"We all do Sango. Kohaku helped so much after her broke Naraku's control, even though we all knew that his shard had to come out eventually..."
"Yea...I know. I just wish that the hands of Naraku hadn't taken it out. Out of all the people that knew about his shard, he just had to be the one to take it out. He's already done too much to my life, killing every single family member I have, cursing the man I love for his entire life-shit."
"What do you mean Miroku's entire life?"
"Well, I saw him take off his rosary when we were on the way to the village, the second time, and...well...he still has the kazaana." Sango's eyes looked down at the water, hints of deep sadness had entered them. She didn't want to show Kagome that she was in a weakened state.
"Nani!? The kazaana! He still has it? Impossible, but Naraku's dead! How can he still have it?"
"I asked my self the same thing. I don't even think he knows why he still has it. He hasn't even told me about it." Sango's tone hinted with sadness in every word.
"Aw...Sango-chan. Everything will be fine. I promise." Kagome's tone was gentile and soothing. She gave the older girl a comforting hug, when she felt Sango sobbing.
"How can it be all right when the one person I love the most is destined to death?"
"I don't know Sango-chan. I honestly don't know."

"You want her to do what!?"
"It's just a few tests Inuyasha."
"She's right Inuyasha. It seems like this is the best chance Kagome-san has."
"I know it is, but what if it happens to her again, or she sees more things from her time? What if demons that are more powerful come after her? What are am I supposed to do?"
"I think you all ready know the answer to that question Inuyasha."
