InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ senior year.... ❯ Chappie 2: Which Side? ( Chapter 3 )

Kagome hauled herself over the edge of the well. She was back home, and really tired. Sesshy had really creeped her out and she had run as fast as her legs would carry her. She yawned and with difficulty walked into the house, and up to her room. She flopped on te bed and fell asleep. When she awoke shippo was beside her bed. She rubbed her eyes and blinked several times. "shippo what are you doing here??"

"I missed you kagome. You are gonna come back right?" kagome bit her bottom lip and thought hard. {I cant disappoint him…but that last argument with inu was pretty intense} she thought. She sighed loudly. "I dont know shippo…I just don't know." Shippo's eyes filled with water. "well if your not goin to come back anymore, make sure u come one last time to say goodbye."

"alright," kagome promised. "now go home, sango, miroku and inu are probably looking for you." She had meant to leave Inu's name out. It wasn't like he even cared. She sighed again and shrugged it off. shippo nodded and left. Kagome drifted off to sleep once more. When she awoke it was Saturday morning. She knew that she couldn't go on like this. Switching between times. Especially since she was so hurt because of Inu. She changed clothes, ate breakfast and walked over to the well, for what she assumed would be the last time. She had o return the shards anyway. She remembered snatching them from him and slapping him. She laughed at the image of the big red handprint on his face. Then she grew quiet as she recalled the words he'd spat at her. She sighed again. (jeez she's sighing a lot these days. Haha)

she climbed down the well, and then after a short amount of time, climbd up again. Once again, she was back in feudal Japan. Unknown to her, when she heaved her backpack over the side of the well, it hit sesshy in the head. He awoke with a start, sweat-dropped and backed away into the trees. once on the ground, she retrieved her bag from her feet and walked somewhat in the direction of their last `camp' site. Everyone was still there. Inu looked up. He shifted uncomfortably and grunted a hello. Kagome tried to ignore him. But couldn't help uttering a short reply. "hi". She walked quickly over to sango, and explained her decision. Sango nodded solemnly. She was extremely aggravated with Inu's stupid behavior. She ha seen him with kikyo the other day, but decided it was best not to discuss it with kagome. She hugged sango. Then she hugged shippo for a long long time. She was very fond of that lil fox demon. She hugged miroku, and said nuthin when he rubbed her ass.(oh miroku, ur so predictable) It was quite strange but she was gonna miss the monk and his little antics. finally she walked over to inu. She was mad at him. He just didn't understand how she felt.she gritted her teeth and tried to form a smile, with a pathetic effort. Then she suddenly had an idea. She handed the shards over, which were all connected into almost a full sphere. He snorted, took the jewel, and looked away. {wonderful. He's more interested in the grass then me. She frowned and walked off, afraid to look back, and even more afraid that if she did, she would break down right there in tears. When she reach the well, she sat on the edge, and for a long time, just took in her surroundings. She felt for the one remaining jewel shard she had kept in her pocket, and grinned weakly. It was her sort of revenge on Inu. Without the shard, he would never have the complete jewel, he would never become full demon, and he would never be together in hell with kikyo. She laughed on the inside at her cunningness. (laughing on the inside is so much fun. U should try it! Sorry…random thought…back to the story) butthere was something else. a little voice in the back of her mind told her different. It told her that maybe there was another reason she had kept the shard. Maybe it was so that, if she ever she wanted to, she could still go back…

A/N: oooo cliffy. My first cliffy! Actually no. It wasn't really a cliffy. Its more like one of those gay endings they have on stories that don't make sense. Haha. Don't worry. This isn't the end. Hell no. its my second chapter! And only god knows how many chapters there'll be. Haha. Ok well I hope you like it so far…you have to admit it is kind of interesting…lol
