Diana and Moro sat around a fire. Moro was chewing on a deer carcass while Diana hovered a few feet above the ground in deep meditation.

What is with that little girl why does she defend him why does she stay with him? Or better yet why does he allow her to stay with him? I didn't see him force her into defending him physically and I know he didn't use a mind control power or I would have sensed it. He could have deceived her into believing he could do no wrong no I saw the look in his eyes when she ran to block my attack he was scared he was worried about her wellbeing but why would an evil lord care about a child…I do not understand.

 

Diana opened her eyes more confused then when she closed them she looked over to were Moro was sitting and found that she was staring at her curiously “what” she asked her. Moro just stared at her a little while longer before answering with another question “Diana where's your necklace” her eyes widened in horror she reached up and touched her neck and found that it wasn't there her mothers necklace was missing “dame it must have come of during the fight” Diana started to take of towards the battle field were she fought sesshoumaru.

 

At sesshoumarus castle >>>>>>>>>>>>>

 

Sesshoumaru walked threw the front gate were his guards were cleared away. As he walked threw the front doors he ordered to have the doctor treat him in his chambers and to have one of the servant's put rin to bed.

 

Sitting in his room while the doctor tending to his injuries he thought about the mysterious woman who was able to match him in strength. His thoughts were interrupted by a nock at the door “enter” was all he said when the door opened and his servant jaken came in threw the door milord I have something that may be of grate importance in trapping that strange woman that you were battling earlier he said to him “speak” seshoumaru ordered him instead jaken scuttled forward and held out Diana necklace sesshoumaru glared at the piece of jewelry “what is the meaning of this jaken that trinket means nothing to me” “but my lord this necklace belonged to that women. It fell off of her while she was fighting the guards”

jaken squeaked to his master . sesshoumaru snatched the necklace out of his hands. Now that he got a better look at it he saw that this was a fine piece work silver molded in the shape of an oval with an amethyst in the middle with a silver chain to complete it. With the doctor and jaken gone from the room he rested his head on his left hand and clutched jewel in the other while he continued to think of that strange woman from before.

 

SESSHOUMARUS PROV>>>>>>>>>>>>

 

That girl I've never met anyone who was able to come so close to finishing me of. If rin hadn't shown up I don't think I could have survived that last attack her fighting abilities were impressive enough but that ball of energy she was still able to create that after that fierce battle.

 

Sesshoumaru continued to stare into the stone he started to see her face this so called shadow wolfs face he saw her eyes even thoe half her face was covered he could see the look in her eyes mocking him “this girl ….she intrigues me” he whispered to himself. Getting up he clutched the necklace in his fist and slowly made his way over to his bed he sat down on the edge of his bed and hooked the chain around his neck before lying down and falling asleep.

 

NORMAL PROV >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

 

“It can't be gone it has to be here” Diana thought desperately as she looked all over the field for her mothers necklace. “If it's not her then were else coul..hu the castle of course I must have lost it there but how do I get in without him knowing I'm still so weak from the last battle it'll take all of the energy I have left to hide in the shadows. I can't what ill have to risk it and do this the old fashioned way.

The castle was quiet. The guards did there nightly rounds unaware of the intruder that was lurking within the castle.

 

A young guard not even 16 years old walked the halls. He stopped to look out the window gazing over the land when a hand reached out behind him and squeezed a pressure point on his neck. The guard was knocked out before he knew what happened “sorry kid the good news is I'm not going to kill you but the bad news is you'll have a killer headache when you wake up”. Diana hid the boy in a closet before heading toward the front court.

 

Diana searched the entire area of the court yard and still couldn't find anything. She was starting to get frustrated with herself the only possession she had to remind her of her mother and it's gone.

 

“Looking for something” came the sound of sesshoumaru's smooth voice

Diana smirked not to surprised that he found her. “How did you know I was here” she asked him “one of my guards saw you knock out one of my new recruits. A fatal mistake” “I guess I'll just have to watch myself next time” “there wont be a next time for you” he said all sarcasm gone from his voice Diana turned around “and what ma..huu” Diana couldn't finish her sentence. When she turned to look at him sesshoumaru was only wearing a pair of pants with his sword strapped to his side but that wasn't what shocked Diana around his neck sesshoumaru wore her mothers necklace .her eyes narrowed at him and turned black in rage how dare he how dare he take something so important to her and turn it into a joke. Bye now the energy around her crackled with electricity her dark aura caused the ground to crack and split rocks the size of your entire body started to shatter like glass.

 

“So jaken was right this necklace does belong to her and bye the looks of it it must old a lot of personal value” he thought with a smirk. That smirk made her even more pissed of he knew that pendant was hers and he was still wearing it play with her emotions. “You don't know” sesshoumarus facial expression turned into that of confusion after she said those words “YOU HAVE NO IDEA” Diana started to charge at him with her spear drawn all weakness and rational thought forgotten. Sesshoumaru drew is sword and pointed it at her as soon as she got close enough the sword erupted a powerful aura which repelled her. The shear force of this aura dissolved the band that held her hair up sliced up her mask and shredded her pants all the way up to the meddle of her thighs and sent her flying back and landing on her side. She pushed herself of the ground her hair falling over her shoulders. Sesshoumaru walked towards her sword still drawn “why didn't she put up a shield even if she wasn't thinking strait it should have bin a natural instinct. Unless she's still injured from our last battle if that's the case why didn't she wait why didn't she wait until she was healed to retrieve this pendant why is it so important”.

 

Bye this point sesshoumaru stood in front of her he leaned down and with his other hand moved the hair that covered her face behind her ear then put his fingers under her chin and forced her to look her up at him. She was a mess her face was covered with dirt blood dripped from the corner of her mouth she was cut and bruised all over her body and she looked so…so…sad her eyes held nothing but sadness and despair and the condition she was in didn't help. Sesshoumaru felt something deep within his chest it was regret he took something that was precious to her and made a joke of it there was no honor in that.

 

“This is it I'm finished I don't have enough energy to stand let alone defend myself it's over….I failed. With that last thought Diana collapsed into sesshoumarus chest.

 

Sesshoumaru caught her with ease and gently cradled her in his arms after he put his sword away. She would still be his enemy but he would wait until she was better then fight her in far battle and maybe find out a little information about why she was after him.
