EVERYONE DIES

 

 

 

Sesshoumaru gained strange looks from his staff as he carried Diana threw the halls of the castle when he came to a room across from his own. He entered the room and rested her on the bed.

 

“My lord you did it you defeated her…..but then why are you keeping her alive”

 

“Mind your own business jaken” sesshoumaru growled

 

“y yes my lord” jaken stammered

 

“Go make yourself useful and send for the physician”

 

“Yes my lord” he said before scurrying of to do his masters bidding

 

shessoumaru turned his attention back to the injured girl and took the time he had to study her now unhidden features.

 

She was quite attractive for a wolf besides the slight bruising and dried blood her skin was a nice pale color her lips were full with a light pink shade to them and her hair was as dark as the night sky with a hint of dark blue to it. He then noticed the silver stripe on each cheek similar to his own which was strange since only those of royal blood had these markings. what was a woman of noble birth like this acting like an assassin. At that moment the physician came in to the room “you summoned me my lord” she asked him. Sesshoumaru rose from the bed side and looked at the doctor “yes heal her wounds then check on her again in the morning” he said as he started to leave the room “my lord” the doctor was about to ask when his lord gave her a sideways glare “you dare question me” he asked in a deadly tone “no my lord its just that” sesshoumaru now turned to face her “yes” “wolves tend to get aggressive when there injured my I suggest that I give her something that will temporarily weaken her” sesshoumaru looked at Diana and remembered the power she possessed “do it” he ordered her before crossing the hall to his own room.

 

He took of his sword and rested agents the wall beside his bed before falling into it himself while resting the back of his hand over his eyes and finally falling asleep himself.

 

SESSHOUMARUS PROV>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>

 

It was still the middle of the night when I woke up. The room was illuminated by the light of the moon and it was quiet so what had awakened me I closed my eyes and concentrated on the sound of the girls breathing in the room across from me. Instead of hearing deep even breathing usually signaling that a person was a sleep her breathing was fast I stretched my hearing further to listen to her heart and found that it was beating rapidly “dame it” I threw of my blankets and entered her room.

 

NORMAL PROV>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>>>>

 

As soon as he came into the room Sesshoumaru rushed over to Diana's bedside. She was shaking and whimpering uncontrollably and her body was covered in a layer of sweat. she was caught in a nightmare.

 

DIANAS MIND>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>>>>>

 

“W were am I” she asked herself. Diana was shrouded in darkness and couldn't see a thing. “hello Moro, grandfather……….anybody…. please I don't want to be alone” Diana was starting to loose herself. She was scared a feeling she didn't take to well.

 

“HAHAHAHAHA” a dark chuckle echoed threw the room. “W who's there” Diana searched around her pointlessly. Unable to find the source of the voice. “HAHA what's the matter Diana afraid” the dark voice mocked her. “Who are you” she yelled “someone who knows you better then you know yourself. Why do you deny yourself the truth?”

 

“What truth what are you talking about”.

 

“Oh come on Diana don't play stupid with me I know of the power that you hold inside yourself just as well as you do and yet you still insist on suppressing it. Why?”

 

“Because not only could releasing all that power at one time could destroy my body but I promised myself that I would only use it as a last resort in a fight”

 

“You laying little wretch. I saw that last battle you could have used your power even In you weakened state. But instead you allowed yourself to be taken captive by that dog lord and for what all for a stupid little girl”

 

“W what” Diana stuttered “that's impossible how could he have known” she thought to herself.

 

“That's right I know all about it. You didn't use your full potential because you knew that the little girl was somewhere in the castle. And you knew that if you used it then the force would kill her”.

 

“If you already know then why are you stating the obvious?” she yelled becoming annoyed

 

“To make you understand. Why do you think you have this power in the first place?” The voice stopped as if waiting for an answer from her.

 

“Huh to destroy and concur. You were born specifically to become the perfect assassin and ruler.”

 

“NO your wrong I only kill people who hurt the innocent”

 

“Really” the voice said in an amused tone

 

“IT'S TRUE. I'm not a mindless killer I'm not”

 

“You can deny it all you want. But eventually you're going to have to face the fact. That your heart is as black as mine”

 

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”

 

DIANAS ROOM >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>

 

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO” Diana shot up and clutched her head in her hands. While at the same time knocking sesshoumaru away from her side. The doctor had bandaged her wounds and also had taken the liberty of replacing her tattered clothing with a white kimono.

 

Diana sat there shaking like a frightened new born puppy. Sesshoumaru rose from his spot on the floor and returned to the one beside her bed. He reached out and rested his hand on her shoulder. She jerked up to attention and swung her hand in an attempted to strike him but he caught her hand with ease. her eyes were shining with unshed tears and she stared at him with a blank expression on her face.

 

“She's still asleep” he thought to himself

 

after sesshoumaru let her hand go she did the unthinkable and slid into his lap and rested her head on his shoulder. Sesshoumaru sat there for a moment still shocked at this simple action. He then looked down at. her eyes were still open but was she aware of what she was doing.

 

“Are you not afraid” he said not really expecting a response and was stunned when he received one.

 

“No”

 

“Why. I could easily kill you right now if I wanted”

 

“If you were going to kill me you would have done it already. And Besides everyone dies at some point”. After those words were spoken Diana's eyes closed and she entered a peaceful dream while still sitting in the lords arms.

 

sesshoumaru sighed to himself “what did I get myself into” he lowered Diana back onto her bed and took one last look before returning to his own room to sleep the rest of the night away.

 

(Sorry I know it took me longer then usual but I had major writers block. Ill try to get the next chapter up as fast as I can pleas email me if you have any Ideas)
