“Damn you, Inuyasha. Damn you for comparing me to that dead woman again.” Kagome sighed. She leaned back against the smooth surface of the boulder behind her, cool against her warm skin.
After Kagome’s fight with Inuyasha, she had decided to take a relaxing bath in the nearby spring. But the bath wasn’t working. In fact, all she really wanted to do was go home and leave Inuyasha to find all the shards by himself. ‘How dare he compare me to Kikyou. She’s dead, and apparently not a very nice person, and he has the gall to say she’d do better finding the shards. Well, he can rot for all I care.’
Kagome, who was washing her hair, started to scrub furiously at her scalp. Why would he say something like that to her? He knew how she felt about being compared to that dead woman. Maybe she would go home. Then he could come to her and apologize, then beg her to come back and then promise never to mention Kikyou and her in the same sentence ever again. Yes, that’s what she would do. She’d punish her little puppy. At that last thought, Kagome smiled. Yes, Inuyasha really was like a puppy...
Kagome stopped and listened. She could have sworn she heard something. ‘Probably Inuyasha coming to fetch me.’ She scowled. ‘If he thinks he can just come over here and not get sat, he’s-’
Kagome gasped. Standing directly before her on the shore was Sesshoumaru. He was watching her with a curious look on his face. Kagome wrapped her arms around her and sank below the water’s surface.
“Come here, girl.”
Kagome’s eyes widened. He wasn’t serious. She was completely naked, and he was telling her to walk over to him? Not a chance in hell. Besides, Kagome really didn’t like the look in his eyes.
“Go away. I’ll scream, and Inuyasha will come running.”
Sesshoumaru looked at her for a moment before he started to move. Before Kagome could blink, he was in front of her, wrapped his arm around her waist, and took off out of the water and through the trees before she could even open her mouth.
Soon, they were flying through the air away from the spring and away from her friends. She struggled against him, and opened her mouth to scream when his low, even voice hit her ears.
“There is no point in you fighting me, or screaming. I do not intend to hurt you and I will bring you back to my brother shortly.”
“Let me go, now. Why are you doing this?”
But Sesshomaru didn’t answer. The air whipped over Kagome’s naked form and she was beginning to get very cold. But she refused to ask Sesshoumaru for anything except her release. She’d freeze before she asked him for help.
But it was only a short flight. They had traveled far out of the range of Inuyasha’s senses, so there was no chance that Inuyasha was going to burst through the trees and rescue her.
Sesshoumaru set her down in the small clearing. Kagome wrapped her arms around herself, shivering against the cool air. She looked at Sesshoumaru, who was now standing opposite of her. “What do you want?”
“You.” The answer was simple enough, but what it implied baffled Kagome.
“What do you mean, you want me? You’ve tried to kill me more time than I can count and you’re always calling me ‘Inuyasha’s woman’. What are you trying to do? Steal me away from your brother?”
“Hardly. My brother has not marked you his, so, therefore, I cannot be ‘stealing’ you away from him. Nor do I intend to make you my mate. This is just carnal. You are in heat, and that leaves me free to take you.”
“WHAT?!”
“I thought my meaning was clear.”
“You must be joking. You don’t even like humans Why would you do this? Please, please don’t rape me.” Kagome was terrified. Was he really going to rape her?
“I told you earlier I do not intend to hurt you.” his voice carried a slight irritation to it. “I do not need to rape the women I bed. You just happened to be the one I chose for this night.” Again. He moved too fast for Kagome. His arm was wrapped around her waist, holding her very close to him. “If you do not wish this, I can always leave you here, but your scent told me that you were in need, and since my brother hasn’t the nerve to claim you, you are open for me to take.” His hand began to wander over her back, sending shivers down her spine. He brushed his lips over her forehead, then trailed them down to her own, kissing her softly for a brief moment. “If you do not wish this, tell me now, and I will leave.”
Kagome was too entranced by the feelings in her body to hear what he said. Good Lord, he was good at this. She opened her eyes and looked into his. There really wasn’t any reason to say no, and besides, she really didn’t think she could say no now, anyway. She wanted him to take her. Kagome reasoned that she could forget about her pain this way.
“What will this imply for us, later?”
Sesshoumaru raised an eyebrow. “There is no ‘us’. This is instinct. For the sake of pure carnal pleasure. Nothing more. You are in heat, and need relief, and I wish to bed you. That is all.”
“I see.” Kagome lowered her head against Sesshoumaru’s chest, so he wouldn’t see her blush. A one night stand. Good God. She was a virgin and her first experience was going to be with the most handsome man she had ever seen, but it would mean nothing. Sesshoumaru raised her chin so he could look into her eyes.
“What is your answer?”
“...Yes...”
Sesshoumaru bent his head and kissed her, more firmly than before. Kagome, who was nervous and very new to the whole thing, didn’t know what to do, so just allowed the kiss. Sesshoumaru soon after broke the kiss and stepped away from her. He turned his back and began to undress. He laid his clothes out on the ground for a makeshift bed. After he was completely void of clothing, he turned around to face Kagome.
Kagome was stunned. Sesshoumaru was gorgeous. Beyond gorgeous. Even missing one arm, Sesshoumaru still made up for it with the rest of himself. His body was lean and covered in taught muscle, and he had those red stripes on the sides of his ribs, hips and calves. His manhood was also very well endowed. ‘Good lord, and that’s supposed to go where?’ she thought in a panic as he moved toward her.
Sesshoumaru guided her over to the makeshift bed and settled her on her back. He covered her body with his, letting his hand wander over her body as he claimed her mouth once more. Soon, Kagome was thrusting in rhythm with his finger. She grasped his shoulders, rocking herself beneath him.
Sesshoumaru removed his finger, replacing it with his tongue. He lapped at her womanhood until the pressure was too great for Kagome. She cried out as she felt herself explode against his tongue. She laid there, gasping for air, willing herself to recover.
Sesshoumaru, however wasn’t willing to wait until she recovered. He moved to the side and shifted her position so she was on all fours, then he moved behind her. She would never admit it allowed, but ever since the first meeting with Sesshoumaru, she had been attracted to him. And over time, and seeing Sesshoumaru change into a caring guardian for Rin, she had even slightly fallen in love with him. Of course, Inuyasha was the one she loved with all her soul, but Sesshoumaru had all the things lacking in Inuyasha, but that was the same for Inuyasha; he had all the things Sesshoumaru lacked.
But even though Kagome meant nothing to the handsome demon, she had felt loved. Kagome knew she and Sesshoumaru would never be together, but in this moment she would hold the thought of being by his side close to her heart.
After a few more minutes, Sesshoumaru moved. He stood up and pulled Kagome up with him, and then he began to dress. As he dressed, he spoke to Kagome. “I would bathe again, if you do not want my brother knowing about this. He will be able to smell me on you. He will still be able to even after a bath, for my scent is also inside you, and you cannot rinse that off.” He turned and looked at her. “I will not mention this. Nor will this effect anything in future battles with my brother.”
“Of course not.” Kagome sighed. The spell was broken. It was time for her to return to reality.
Sesshoumaru wrapped his arm around Kagome and carried her back to the spring. He left her on the shore, and without a word or a look back, he left.
Kagome sighed again. She moved to get back into the water, when she heard her name being called. Her eyes widened as she dived for her clothes and slipped into them as quickly as possible.
“Kagome, aren’t you done yet? You’ve been in here for more than two hours.” Inuyasha scowled at her as soon as she came into his view. “‘Bout time.”
“Dammit, Inuyasha Can’t you give me any privacy?”
But Inuyasha didn’t answer. He was staring hard at her, with a shocked look on his face. “You smell.”
“Thank you for that, Inuyasha. You really know how to charm the women, don’t you?”
“Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about You smell like Sesshoumaru Where is he?”
“He wasn’t here. I went for a walk after my bath, and... and ... I ran into him. He did his usual threats, but that’s it. And I came back here.”
“Did he do anything to you? I mean, uh, you know. Did he ... try to..” The look on Inuyasha’s face said that he knew and wanted her to confirm it.
“No. Why would he? I’m human and he can’t stand me.” Kagome hated lying to Inuyasha, but technically it wasn’t a lie, because Inuyasha thought Sesshoumaru might have raped her.
“Are you sure? Kagome, I don’t know if you know this, but uh, you’re in heat, and that’s sending a very powerful scent out. If he didn’t, I’m really surprised.”
“Thank you, Inuyasha, for your concern, but I’m just fine.”
Inuyasha stared at her for a moment. “I don’t believe you. You know, Kikyou would have told me the truth, but you’re-”
“SIT!”
Wham “OUCH!”
“How dare you compare me to her again! I cannot believe you did it again in the same day! You’d think you’d learn your lesson, but no! Your head is too thick!”
Kagome stormed away from the spring. She was going home, and to hell with Inuyasha. She was going to bury the well from the other side so that Inuyasha couldn’t get through. It was obvious that he wanted her to be Kikyou, and that wasn’t going to happen. So, to hell with Inuyasha and the feudal era all together.
When she got to camp, she said a hasty goodbye to the others, picked up her bag and jumped down the well. “Damn you, Inuyasha!”
