Chapter 1: Meeting Kagome
Inuyasha walked up to Kagome. "Hey," he said. Kagome jumped. It was after the last bell had rang, and she was sitting under a tree, the shade cooling her off. "Hey," she answered, flustered. She had had a crush on him since, when, middle school? Not like she was the only one. Every girl in the school had admired him one time or another.
Inuyasha sat down beside her, his black hair fluttering in the breeze. "What are you doing?" Kagome asked him, one eyebrow arched. "What? I can't sit down?" He asked her. Kagome shrugged and continued reading.
After a while, she turned to him. "I really can't read with you sitting right next to me." She turned to face him. "Oh, and why is that?" Inuyasha asked. Kagome sighed again and leaned back against the tree. After about 5 minutes, Inuyasha suggested, "want to go to the park?" Kagome looked up. She hadn't really been reading, just nervously staring at the pages, turning if it had taken to long. She could feel his breath against her neck, and his presence made her nervous. "Um, sure." Kagome squeaked, hoping it didn't sound as choked as it had to her ears.
The two made there way to the park, Kagome biting her lip.
They came to the fountain, and once again sat in the shade of a tree, this time a cherry tree. The flowers were in full bloom, and a gentle breeze blew her hair around, the petals getting lost in a river of black.
Inuyasha couldn't help but think she was pretty, but that made him grin inside. `Easier to make her queen,' he thought. Kagome stood by the fountain edge, a finger outstretched to feel the droplets of water. She felt them spray her cheek, the water roaring loudly, covering the surface with white foam. Inuyasha sat quietly under the tree still, watching her.
Despite the fact that she was considered the school nerd, he was thinking she was actually good looking enough. She might need a new wardrobe and all, but I think I can make her presentable. Inuyasha leaned back, sighing. He closed his eyes and let the breeze sweep over him, cooling his nerves. Maybe this would be easier than he thought.
`Ha,' Inuyasha thought, grinning inside, `you lose, Kouga.'
-----------
Inuyasha woke up early. It was Saturday, but he wanted a start on Kagome early.
There was a party at Miroku's house that night, because his parents were out of town, and he was going to show off a new Kagome.
Inuyasha walked down the hall into his sister Rin's room. "Rin! Wake up!" He yelled. Rin groaned. "It's Saturday," she managed to mumble. "Well, I want you to do a makeover on a friend of mine." Rin sat up. "I'm all ready." She said, grinning.
