Chapter 16
Science, a bit of trouble, history, chat with Kouga, art and gratitude.
Bankotsu and I walked into our Science class holding hands.
Bankotsu kissed my cheek, and I kissed his cheek, then sat in my seat and Bankotsu walked over to his seat.
A minute later Heiten, Hakudoshi, and Naraku entered the class room.
Heiten sat behind me in his desk.
Then Rin entered, followed by Kagome, and Inuyasha.
Lastly Hojo, and Yuki entered.
The bell rang and Mrs. H. instructed, "Work on your projects."
So we stood up and paired off again.
Heiten stood up and I instantly moved out of his reach.
Heiten looked at me a minute them shrugged and moved off with Naraku.
Hakudoshi walked over to me and mentioned dryly, "You really don't like Heiten, do you?"
I rolled my eyes and snapped seriously, "Hell No! I don't like him any more then your cousin!"
Hakudoshi chuckled and sat down.
Hakudoshi questioned, "So, you are still gonna do the tutoring tonight, right?"
I answered, "Yup, it will be the history part tonight though."
Hakudoshi said, "Cool."
We spent most of the rest of class discussing our project and what we were gonna do with it in the lab tomorrow.
The last ten minutes of class I heard Rin state angrily, "Shut up already Yuki! You are just jealous of Cathy! Now shut your damn mouth and stop talking about my friend like that!"
I stood up, walked over and asked evenly, "What's going on?"
Inuyasha walked over as did Kagome, Hojo, and Bankotsu.
Rin answered angrily, "Yuki is mouthing off again."
I replied evenly, "Is that right?"
Then I faced Yuki and queried, "And what are you saying now Yuki!?"
Yuki glared at me and snapped icily, "HE will just do the same thing Yuske did!"
I glared at her and retorted confidently, "No he won't! I TRUST him! Besides he already knows! So you can't use that to try to hurt me!"
Bankotsu moved over and stood beside me, then faced Yuki narrowing his eyes angrily at her, and stated dead seriously, "I do know! And I have already told you to back the hell off Yuki! I don't want ANYTHING to do with a bitch like you! So leave Cathy ALONE!"
I said smugly, "Face it Yuki, Bankotsu isn't leaving me! So BACK OFF!"
Heiten stormed over, glaring at us and angrily demanded, "What the hell do you mean Bankotsu isn't leaving you!?" staring me dead in the eye.
Bankotsu smirked and informed him proudly and seriously, "Cathy and I are dating! And I WON"T leave her!"
I nodded and agreed, "That's right!"
Heiten became angry and demanded, "When was I gonna be told!?" glaring at me.
I looked at him holding his gaze and snapped angrily, "What Bankotsu and I do is NO ONES business but OURS!"
Inuyasha ordered coolly, "Cathy is right! So all of you can just back the hell off!" eying from one person to the next.
I smiled at Inuyasha.
Yuki seethed icily, "You just wait Cathy! You will see!"
I glared at her and Bankotsu put an arm over my shoulder to restrain me.
Bankotsu glared at Heiten and informed him angrily, "Who Cathy chooses to date is NONE of your business! Nor anyone else's!"
Heiten hissed angrily, "Shut up!" glaring angrily at my boyfriend.
Hakudoshi looked at me and asked in a hurt tone, "Why didn't you tell me?"
I answered evenly, "I wasn't aware the ENTIRE school needed informed about my personal life! Nor my decisions!"
The bell rang and Bankotsu and I walked out the door, with Inuyasha, Kagome, and Rin.
Bankotsu pulled me over to his locker and said seriously, "Don't worry about them!"
I smiled and replied, "I'm not!"
He smiled, kissed me and walked me to my history class.
We kissed and he said, "See ya at lunch babe!"
I nodded and he walked off as I entered the class room followed by Sesshomaru, Rin, and Kouga.
History class and a chat with Kouga and Ayame.
I sat in my desk as did the everyone else.
Sesshomaru faced me and mentioned evenly, "Rin told me."
I stated seriously, "I don't give a flying flip what ANY of them think! Bankotsu and I are the only ones whose business it is anyways! Though I do respect you, and Yash's opinions."
Sesshomaru answered coolly, "As it should be!"
Then he turned around and faced the front.
Hakudoshi walked over to me and stated in a hurt tone, "You should have told me Cathy! I thought we were beginning to become friends!"
Then he walked over to his seat and sat down.
Kouga walked in and asked, "What did I miss?"
I answered, "After class, k?"
He nodded.
The bell rang and Mr. Kinshin instructed, "Open your books and we will pick up where we left off."
For the rest of the class we all took more notes on the feudal era.
As soon as the bell rang I put my stuff inside my back pack.
Kouga and I stood together and Ayame walked over.
Heiten, and Naraku glared at us as they passed us.
Hakudoshi walked right out the door.
Kouga, Ayame, and I walked out together.
I walked over to my locker and put my back pack in my locker then turned to Kouga and explained, "Long story short Yuki started some shit again because she is mad that Ban is with me and not her. Ban stood up for me, Heiten was furious when he found out Ban and I are seeing each other, Hakudoshi is upset I didn't tell him. Rin stuck up for me as did Yash."
Ayame added, "Bankotsu was pretty pissed about the whole thing too. Apparently he has told Yuki to leave them alone before and she refuses to give up."
Kouga stated, "Only thing that matters is what you and Bankotsu feel for each other and think! Ignore the others!"
I then locked my locker.
I nodded and said, "I know! Thanks."
Kouga and I quickly hugged.
Then Ayame and I quickly hugged.
Then we walked off to our next classes.
Art and gratitude.
I entered the classroom just as the bell rang.
Mrs. L. announced, "Today we will finish our projects from yesterday by painting them."
I pulled out my paints and fine paint brushes and begin painting the back of the plate vivid colors.
Then I set it aside to dry while I painted the details I had carved into my bowl yesterday.
Then I set it aside to dry and went to rinse my paint brushes.
After that I put my paints and brushes away, I saw Rin rinsing out her brushes.
I walked over and stated seriously, "Thanks Rin! It means a lot that you stood up for me!"
Rin smiled and declared happily, "Of course I would! Your not just my boyfriend's cousin, Cathy! You are my FRIEND as well!"
I smiled and hugged her, and she smiled and hugged me back.
Rin suggested seriously, "Forget about Yuki and Heiten and what everyone else thinks! You and Ban belong together and we ALL can see it! Yuki is just jealous because you finally have a great guy who not only truly cares about you, but is also aside from your cousins the hottest guy in school! Yuki isn't used to being denied and is just being childish!"
I smiled and agreed, "I know she is! And you're right, other than my cousins, Ban is the hottest guy in school! I am amazed he is happy with me!"
She stated, "Why wouldn't he be!? Your sweet, kind, loving, caring, pretty, not afraid to stand up for yourself...!"
I cut her off and mentioned seriously "Okay, Okay, I get it! And Thanks Rin!"
She smiled and nodded, and I grinned at her.
Then we walked over to Sango.
Sango stated happily, "It's easy to see you and Bankotsu belong together! The guy is absolutely crazy about you Cathy! Even a blind person can see that!"
I added happily, "I am crazy about him too!"
Sango mentioned, "He didn't hesitate to stand up for and protect you either! Even when you weren't dating."
I smiled and agreed, "I know! He is definitely a keeper! That's for sure!"
Sango grinned and nodded eagerly.
Rin also nodded and grinned.
Sesshomaru informed me seriously, "He has proven himself worthy of your favor once more! I hate to admit it, but I am impressed! I am truly happy for you Cathy!"
I grinned and said happily, "Thanks Sess! It means the world to me, that you approve of him!"
Sesshomaru nodded.
Rin hugged him and kissed his cheek.
He returned the hug and briefly brushed his lips across hers.
Kagome added seriously, "Inuyasha won't admit it, but he is impressed as well Cathy!"
I smiled and said, "I know! Thanks Kags!"
She smiled and nodded.
The bell rang and I stated happily, "I've gotta go meet my man! See ya!"
Rin and Kagome laughed and shooed me away.
I walked over to Bankotsu's locker smiling, and humming to myself the entire way.
