InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Silence ❯ Chapter 7 ( Chapter 7 )
Angeltiger: Wow, two chapters in one week!? O_O Who would have thought?
Inuyasha: Not me.
Angeltiger: Shut up ya stupid dog. >_<
Inuyasha: You shut up ya stupid tiger. >_<
Angeltiger: Actually, I'm part wolf.
Kouga: Yeah, and that's my cuz, so leave her alone dog-turd!
Inuyasha: No! I don't care who is related to, she's still a wimpy female.
Angeltiger: Why you-

Inuyasha: X_X
Angeltiger: *storming away from a burnt Inu* I still own nothing, though I get to borrow Sesshoumaru periodically for my own hentai-ish fetishes. The only thing I truly own is my sanity...and even that is starting to become questionable...*laughs evilly at the smoke coming from Inuyasha's ears*
Inuyasha: What's so funny?!
Silence
Ch. 7
~~~~~~Sesshoumaru's POV~~~~~~
(AT: I really don't like POVs cuz they tend to annoy me if they aren't done correctly. *crosses fingers* Here's hopin` I can pull it off.)
I was growing quite bored with this waiting. For kami's sake she was a human, she couldn't have gotten that far.
So Jaken has gone on one of his "I'm going to hold my breath because you smell rank" escapades. Well, he'd have to pay for that one as well.
As I waited, my thoughts turned back to the topic I had been racking my brain with before that ill-informed imp rudely bursted in: the girl.
Why did I save that human woman? I could have easily let her lie there, let the wolf take her. The temptation to do so should have doubled due to her being the wench of my half brother. Yet I didn't . . . why?
It was then that it hit me: Tensaiga. The sword had thrummed in calling, commanding me to save Rin just as it did this girl. My will to leave this human was stronger as I didn't need another headache-waiting-to-happen; I was able to walk away. Then Rin had to step in.
I am getting weak. I should not have let that child persuade me to save the miko. Though she did nothing verbally to convince me, her tears were enough for me to crack. How I hate having such a weakness.
What I don't understand is, why only a few humans are able to wake Tensaiga from the sheath on my hip? It does not hum to life every time I walk by a dead or injured human. So why would it command ME to save these two girls. How I hate not knowing the answers.
I honestly don't get father's meaning behind the sword. I have performed countless tests, trying to resurrect demons and humans alike. Very rarely would they come back to life. And even the ones that did, Tensaiga never pulsed the way it did for Rin and my brother's wench. More importantly, all it did was save them. They weren't bound to me or anything, I was not able to control them...so what is the point of bringing them back?
I was beginning to get frustrated, what was with my fathers sick, twisted humor? Giving my brother a powerful sword such as the Tetsusaiga, while I get this piece of junk that only proceeds to give me a further unwanted migraine.
Just as I raised my hand to one of my temples, the imp from before walked it. I could tell this was the same one because of the scowl it wore in its face. I snorted mentally; I taught my servants better than that.
The disrespectful slave was soon followed by the miko, dressed in the robes that I had given her. She looked much more respectable now that she was decently clothed, even with the anger evident on her face. Her other garb made her look somewhat like a...trollop.
My nose proceeded to notify me of a kit's presence, the same one from her group of misfit adventurers. This fox hadn't come with her, but now she held him protectively in her arms. How could he have passed through my barrier?
The bedchamber slave bowed to me and turned to leave. At least he has some respect. But my standards required more.
"Since when do you enter my study with out knocking, blue?"
( AT: Sucked didn't it? ;_; )
"Milord?"
"I will not repeat myself."
The blue hung his head in shame, "I apologize milord. I was just anxious to get the miko here for her punishment. After what she did to Jaken..."
Kagome bristled, "After I did what to Jaken?"
The imp's naturally black face flushed red in anger. "You killed him you little bitch! He was just going to wake you, from your GUEST bed I might add, and you killed him!" He screeched, stepping on her toe.
Kagome winced and drew her foot back. "I did no such thing you little imp!" Without thinking she plowed him in the head, sending him sailing across the room to finally slide to a stop a few inches away from his master's feet. Shippo stifled his giggles by pressing himself further into Kagome.
Sesshoumaru lifted a delicate eyebrow at the imp sprawled out before him. He would have reprimanded this human for her behavior, but he found humor in the current situation. Plus he had wanted to punish the thing anyway, so why not humiliate him by letting a human woman kick him around?
"Uhhhhh..." The injured imp was slowly getting to his feet. "MILORD, is it safe to have such a violent girl running around our home?" he asked while rubbing the lump on his head. "And a liar at that?"
"Violent!?" Kagome removed one of her hands from Shippo and curled it into a fist. "If you don't stop accusing me of crap I didn't do, I'll show you violent!" Shippo cringed, she didn't normally get this angry.
"You killed Jaken you little piece of human filth!" He picked himself up and planted himself directly in front of her, standing as tall as he could while glaring at her.
Kagome, however, was unaffected. She almost laughed at his antics to pull rank on her, especially since he only came up to about mid-thigh. Her face turned serious, "Back off, shorty. Or I'll give you another kick."
The imp took a step back, not expecting such a deep growl to come from a human. Sesshoumaru decided that it was best to cut in. "Blue." He demanded, his tone annoyed.
The imp snapped his attention from the girl and whirled around, "Yes milord?"
"What is your name and rank?"
The imp tried once again to stand taller, only this time his face fell when he came to Sesshoumaru's knees. "Tsuyo, trainee, bedchambers."
The taiyoukai allowed himself an inward smirk, once again he had been right. "Until you learn you place in my castle, Tsuyo, you have been demoted to the black stripes."
"W-what!?"
"This Sesshoumaru will not repeat himself. Now, I would suggest you leave, a red will lead you out." As if on cue, a large imp with two red stipes on either cheek walked in and grabbed Tsuyo by the arm, dragging him out with little effort.
Kagome gaped, this demon was huge! With a chest of a body builder, this guy stood taller than her, and only inches shorter than Sesshoumaru. {What the heck? I thought imps were supposed to be small?}
"Wait! You cant' DO this! She killed-JAKEN!!"
A dazed Jaken stumbled in, holding a head that looked like it had be cut open, dry blood caked the wound. Kagome and Shippo turned their startle gazes from Jaken to Tsuyo, who was screaming as his bright blue stripes faded to what Kagome would guess was black. She couldn't tell if he had any stripes at all, if he did they blended with his skin color. The red wasted no time easily carrying him out the rest of the way.
"Well that was eventful," she mumbled.
Sesshoumaru cleared his throat, ignoring the girl for the moment. "Jaken, where have you been?"
"I've...been...uhh...looking for the human girl MiLord!" he hurried, glad he was able to remember.
"Indeed. Go to the yellow wing Jaken, get yourself cleaned up."
"Yes MiLord!" The toad scampered away, grateful he didn't have to explain himself to his master.
"Now you," Sesshoumaru looked towards the girl, "take a seat. Bring the kit with you." He returned to the seat he had resided in before the commotion and waited for her to get comfortable in the one next to him.
"When did he come along?" he inquired, his curiosity finally getting the better of him. He didn't even spare glance at the kit in question.
"Straight to the point as always Sesshoumaru." She smiled under his glare before her face turned to anger. "I found him outside one of your windows, barely hanging on. It would appear he threw my kit in anger."
Sesshoumaru didn't need to ask who he was.
"Why did you leave your room?"
"I wanted out." She answered, just as straightforward at the cold Lord himself.
He snorted lightly, "Why?"
"I will kill him."
Sesshoumaru shook his head, "You will wait until the hanyou comes to get you."
Understanding flashed through Kagome's eyes. "YOU!" She yelled, standing up. Shippo clung on for dear life. "You're planning on using me as bait for the Tetsusaiga aren't you!?"
"SIT!" He barked.
She sat. A voice in the back of her mind chuckled at the irony. She was startled by his growling, "This Sesshoumaru is above kidnaping."
She looked ashamed, "Oh...forgive me. I'm just a bit stressed."
Sesshoumaru said nothing. {Weak humans. Letting their emotions take over their actions.}Then he smelt it. {What the hell? The girl is already beginning to change!?}
Kagome shuffled around, getting uneasy at being the receiver of such intense eyes. "I said I was sorry..." she mumbled.
"Look at your hand." He commanded. He knew she couldn't see her growing fangs, or the tiny little sprouts of black ears on the top of her head, but she would be able to see the lengthening of her claws...
"OH MY GOD!!!"
{Knew it}
"So...I'm becoming a demon?" Kagome stared intently at her hand, as if she'd never seen it before...never knew it was there.
"This Sesshoumaru does not repeat himself."
She sighed, "That's fine but...why?"
Shippo squirmed in her arms, if his mama's a demon...she could be more like his real mama. He smiled to himself, but decided to listen in on Sesshoumaru's explanation.
The taiyoukai lifted an eyebrow, "You really know nothing of human/demon relations do you?"
She looked slightly flustered, "Uhhh...no, not really, no."
Sesshoumaru sighed at his luck. This girl truly was annoying, and he had to resist the urge to kill both her and her kit with one swipe. But even he had to admit, he wouldn't want to fight his brother when his woman and kid was dead.
"Very well...I will educate you on all that is expected. And to respect your betters..."
After a few huffs from Kagome, the lessons began.
Shippo had fallen asleep hours ago.
Angeltiger: There? Better? I think this is the quickest I've ever updated in my life. You can thank winter break for that.
Kurama: Tell her about me.
Angeltiger: Oh, of course! I just started another fic. It's a YYH/IY x-over with Kag/Kur and possible Hiei/Sango. It's called: 'Real Roses Have Thorns'. Go check it out please, I've finally written a spur-of-the-moment fic. I always had ideas running about in my head, and now I'm just unleashing them in one giant helping.
Kouga: And....she's decided to put 'On Her Own' on hold too...
Angeltiger: He's still a bit depressed, *pats back* but after seeing my writer' block *points to black cube the size of a skyscraper* he's not mad at me anymore.
Kouga: Uh huh...
Angeltiger: Whatever. So what do you guys think of my story so far? I know it's moving kinda slow, but I tend to go into detail. I really hope this doesn't bother anyone, cuz that's just how I like to write...oh well. Oh yeah, and the editing was provided by Midnight-Blue-Wolves, so if you see anything wrong...GO AFTER HER!! *grumbles* Besides, she still has those lawyers after me...and all over some stupid poems...
