Sketch Pad
Chapter 2: Chroma
In the far back corner,
Kagome sat ecstatic in her fifth period class. She gazed at the young silver haired boy that captured her heart a few days ago. Ever since then she studied him.
She reached into her bag and pulled out a tall notebook. Along the face of the notebook were suprisingly mulitcolored stickers that constrasted her dark purple hoody(hiding her face),brown cargos, and her predictable 27.5cm Converse.
She flipped through the notebook revealing various sketches that featured the same certain male.
She drew him.
Constantly.
She drew him in different poses, outfiits, nationalities, etc. She drew him as french maid.
"Bonjour, Madame Higurashi" The sketch responded. She drew him as a matador.
"Hola, Mami." She even drew him as a west coast street member.
"Sup, Kagizzle!" Kagome could help but to crack a smile before blushing hotly. Mainly, because she also drew him......
She flipped the next page to reveal a series of drawings that portrayed a naked InuYasha. She bit her lip before raising her head to stare at him as he laughed with his friend, named Miroku. They sat significantly close to her. So close. That if she leaned in....a little closer...she could hear them. So.....
She did.
"Hey, Yash, you wouldn't guess what Sango did to me after her volleyball practice."
"I don't want to guess."
"She gave me head in the girl's locker room." Miroku openly admitted.
This made Kagome inadvertently cough at the candid outburst. She couldn't believe that the star player on the girl's volleyball team did those kind of things.
"Hey, man. Did you hear that?" InuYasha asked as he heard the loud gag behind them or was it behind them?
"Hear what? Look, I'm trying to explain to you what exactly happened. I couldn't believe she actually did it."
Sango, a bouncy brunette, jumped up spiked it. "Yeah, I know. I felt he deserved it after all of those years of pining over me." She said inbetween shallow breaths.
"Good spike."
"Thanks, Kikyo"
Miroku smirked. "That's because you only want to hear from a certain lady named..."
"Shut up." InuYasha demanded as he folded his arms across his chest as a defense mechanism that he used to guard his heart from leaking out his feelings.
"....Kikyo."
Kagome gasped at the name. Kikyo was also on the volleyball team. She was also very beautiful. He could never like me, if he likes her.
"Man, I swear I keep hearing things." InuYasha said as he felt the air from the gasp Kagome made tickle his ear. He shivered at the feeling.
"Love will that do that to you." Miroku said.
"Love? I don't love Kikyo." He said with his arms still guarding.
"Whatever, man. Look, don't tell Sango I told you about what we did."
"I wished you wouldn't have told me in the first place."
"She'll be really pissed."
.
"Well, you know he told InuYasha. He tells him eveything." Kikyo said sitting next to her while grabbing a towel to wipe off the sweat.
"Oh, the apple of your eye." Sango responded.
"He is not!" Kikyo exclaimed.
"He really likes you and I know you better than yourself, and I know you like him, too." Sango said.
Sango and Kikyo knew each other since birth. Their mothers were best friends and gave birth to them at the same time.
"Push, Mrs. Takahashi!"
Two women lied in twin beds next to each other as they both strived to bring life into the world.
"Push, Mrs. Taijia!"
"Aaaaaahhhh!!!!" Both ladies screamed before baby cries were simultaneously heard.
"Congraluations! It's girls!"
"I do like him. I'm just waiting for the right moment." Kikyo admitted.
"How will you know it's the right moment?" Sango asked.
Kikyo stretched her aching muscles from their rigorous training. "I'll just know."
Kagome walked in with her hoody hanging loosely over her, extending beyond her short arms making the rest of the fabric flap lazily as she walked.
"There's that weird girl." A female student said to her other catty friends as they crowded an easel that was painted with a black and white brooding figure.
"Forget her. Look, at this, Yuka, you're amazing. It's so deep." One of her friends admired.
Kagome giggled at the said artwork. Just because somethig's in black and white doesn't automatically make it deep or profound. That's just how Kagome thought. She made her way to the seat in the far corner where no one could she what she was painting.
Kagome opened her canvas carrying bag she left there overnight. She removed the partially finished painting and placed it on the easel. Kagome then prepared her paints before she began to let her brush widly dance about the canvas.
Although Kagome gave off a melancholy demeanor her artwork was the complete opposite as it always portratyed something positive, upbeat, and inspiring.
Even though she wore dark, achromatic colors her pieces displayed bright hues, vibrant colors that splashed off the canvas in flows of radiance.
Her favorite paint colors were lush greens, wavy blues, spunky reds, and cheeky pinks. This was the main reason she sat in the far corner away from the peering eyes of others who couldn't appreciate the positivity of art.
She became so immersed that didn't realize the bell ring. Luckily, she had a hole in her schedule. She used to this hole to become herself.
Kagome intently watched the bougee, artsy girls exit the room, but not before throwing her death glares.
Kagome just stuck her tongue because now she was ready to let it all fall away.
"Hey, you want to hang out after wards?" InuYasha suggested.
"Can't."
"Why?"
"Sango."
"Ke h."
InuYasha sighed. After Miroku and Sango hooked up, he barely got a chance to see his bestfriend anymore. "Look, I'm heading to the bathroom. I'll see you in class."
Miroku nodded before the two then went their seperate ways.
This is the hour when she created her best. She then turned the easel to face the door while she faced the opposite wall of the entrance with her back to the door.
She went into her bag to bring out her special brushes and special paints.
But before she could do anything. She had to turn on the nearby stero that already had a Deathless CD in there. As the heavy guitar solo hummed through, she began.
He casually looked in each classroom. Every now and then, he would stop to make a funny face at a friend.
He ran his fingers pass the door of the art room before looking nonchalantly inside before his breath caught in his throat.
There stood a beautiful girl painting a breathtaking picture of lush green scenery and wavy blue waterfalls while a spunky red and cheeky pink sun setted in the east.
Who is she? He wondered.
For a minute, he thought she was Kikyo, but her hair was too unruly. It was untamed and wild.
He liked this.
InuYasha hesitantly opened the door hoping not to disturb her, but she couldn't possibly hear his entrance with the loud rock music playing. It was old rock. 70's maybe
"Is this Deathless?" He asked himself. As he entered he received a better view of her form. Her curvy, small waist covered in a thin, powder pink cami sent chills down his spine.
He wanted to say something and make his presence known, but he didn't know who she was or her name. But he had to say something
"You're really good."
Kagome was lost in a world of her own as she rocked out to her father's favorite band while she did the thing she loved the most. She was lost before she heard a voice. Maybe she was going crazy. So, she disregarded it.
InuYasha frowned. 'I guess she didn't hear me.' So, he decided to try it again...louder this time.
"Hey, you're really good!!" He shouted.
Kagome immediately dropped her brush once she heard someone behind her. She whipped around only to see the one male that made her weak at the knees. He saw her....at her most vulernable. There was only one thing she could do.....RUN!
Kagome immediately grabbed everything she could before making a dash towads the exit.
"H-h-hey! Wait!" But before she could hear him....she was gone. "Who was she?" He asked himself. He clearly couldn't recognize Kagome without her usual hoody, baggy clothes, and sock cap. So, in his mind, she was some beautiful mysterious, talented girl roaming the halls of his school.
InuYasha looked down to see a stickered covered sketch pad. He bent down to pick it up. "She must have left this behind." He said before scanning through the pages.
His heart raced.
They were all drawings.....of him.
He then gasped.
Because some of them were of him....
NAKED!
"I need to find her." He convinced himself.

After fifth period and after Kagome received her daily dose of InuYasha, she was headed to her favorite class of the day....art.Kagome walked in with her hoody hanging loosely over her, extending beyond her short arms making the rest of the fabric flap lazily as she walked.

InuYasha and Miroku walked down the halls to their last class of the day."Hey, you want to hang out after wards?" InuYasha suggested.
"Can't."

Kagome threw her hoody over her head revealing a soft pink camisole that hugged curves that seemed non-existent in her other garb. She released her hair from the confinements of her sock hat., letting it roam free range down her back. This is the hour when she created her best. She then turned the easel to face the door while she faced the opposite wall of the entrance with her back to the door.

After InuYasha drained the lizard he headed back towards his class. He had a habit of running his fingers along the sides of the walls and depressions caused by the doors. He casually looked in each classroom. Every now and then, he would stop to make a funny face at a friend.
