A/M: OMG I am so sorry about the really late update and I don't really have an excuse so I'm just sorry! I also fix one thing in the 1st chapter, so you are going to have to read the part where Inuyasha meets Kikyo again.

“So…?” Inuyasha said.

“I should be getting home… you know homework and… stuff.” Kagome said nervously. The feeling between them was choppy.

“That's good…” Inuyasha was kind of restless, he didn't like these kinds of situations, and they made him nervous. But he didn't want Kagome to know.

“Bye!” Kagome waved and was walking away when Inuyasha ran up beside her.

“Where do you live?” He asked.

“Cherry Blossom lane.” She said with a soft smile.

“I live there too!” Inuyasha said sort of excited. “Can I walk u home?”

Kagome gulped hard “Um… I guess?” Kagome blushed and Inuyasha smiled.

At first it was quite between them but then they started talking about where Inuyasha moved from and where he went to school. On their way Lots of people waved and said hi, “Do you know everybody in this town?” Inuyasha asked.

“Inuyasha this is a small town everybody knows everybody!”

Finally Kagome got to her house and checked her watch, it was only 5:30 and her mom was cooking dinner so she had time to get a start on homework before dinner at 6:30. Kagome turned around to face Inuyasha.

“Where's your house?” Kagome asked and Inuyasha pointed to the house right next door with the moving truck in front.

“Oh that's your house? It's the biggest house on the block.” Kagome said eyes wide.

“Yup, my dad doesn't settle for less.” Inuyasha didn't look thrilled.

“Hey you want to come in? My mom is making roast duck!” Kagome asked happily.

“I don't know can u ask your parents? I'll go over and ask mine.” Inuyasha's face brightened a little.

“Okay!” Inuyasha jumped the fence separating the two houses and disappeared inside. Kagome walked in her house. “Mom!” Kagome called from the front hall.

“Yes dear?” Kagome's mom came out of the kitchen.

“Can a friend come over for dinner?” Kagome asked with her hands clasped together.

“Sure Sango can!” Her mother smiled.

“No mom a new friend… his name is Inuyasha.” Kagome said.

“A new friend that's a boy?” Kagome's mom asked excitedly.

“Yes! So can he come over? He just moved in next door.”

“Of course! I met his mother she is so sweet.”

“Thanks mom!” Kagome squealed and hugged her mom tight. Kagome opened her front door and Inuyasha was waiting for her with his backpack.

“My mom said it was all right if I ate dinner over here.” Inuyasha said, “ She also want you to tutor me with my studies.”

“Sure come in!” Kagome said happily. Inuyasha came in the house and got hit by big hug from Kagome's mom and dropped his backpack.

“Welcome to our home!” Kagome's mom said sweetly and smiled just like Kagome.

A little boy and an old man walked in from the upstairs, “Mom is dinner almost done?” The little boy asked then he saw Inuyasha. “Cool a demon!” The little boy yelled and ran over to Inuyasha.

“Souta! It's not nice to yell at your sister's friends!” Kagome's mom said to her son.

“Actually I'm only half demon.” Inuyasha said sadly.

“Come on Inuyasha I'll help u with your homework now!” Kagome said and picked up his backpack. She grabbed his hand and took him upstairs. Kagome took him to a pink room with a bed on one side and a desk on the other. It also had two windows, one above the desk and another next to the bed.

“Nice room.” Inuyasha said and sat on the bed.

“Thanks so did you write down what you have to do for homework?” Kagome asked getting out her planer.

“I didn't know we had to?” Inuyasha asked confused.

“Then how are u suppose to know what your homework is?” Kagome asked shocked.

Inuyasha thought for a second, “We have the same classes! You tell me!”

Kagome sighed, “Okay, but tomorrow I'm going to make sure you it write down.” Kagome and Inuyasha did their homework until Kagome's mom came in to announce dinner was ready. Kagome sat down at the table with her family and Inuyasha sat down right next to her. The meal was full of questions for Inuyasha, Inuyasha happily answered, though with his mouth full of duck and rice. Inuyasha was polite to Kagome's family and Kagome's family treated him as member.

“Anyone want dessert?” Kagome said as she picked up her plate and headed to the kitchen.

“No thanks, I should be heading home anyways.” Inuyasha said.

Kagome rushed in the dinning room, “ No! Come one Inuyasha… we haven't finished our homework and… please don't go yet!” Kagome begged.

“Yes Inuyasha you and Kagome should finish you homework, I'll bring some dessert up to her room.” Kagome's mom insisted with a smile.

“Okay if you insist!” Inuyasha said happily.

Inuyasha and Kagome headed up her room and did the last of their homework. Kagome was in the middle of explaining a math problem when Kagome's mom came in with hot chocolate.

“How is the studying going? Inuyasha do you like hot chocolate?” She asked as she set down the tray on Kagome's desk.

“I love it!” Inuyasha said happily and got up and grabbed the two hot chocolates and gave one to Kagome.

“Good! It's Kagome's favorite!” Kagome and her mom smiled the same sweet smile.

Kagome finished explaining the last of the homework to Inuyasha and they happily sipped their hot chocolate and talked a bit.

“So… I think I should be getting home now.” Inuyasha announced sadly after he gulped down the last of his drink.

“Okay I'll walk you out.” Kagome said, also not ecstatic.

They both walked down the stairs, and to the front door.

“Inuyasha are you leaving?” Souta asked sticking his head out of the living room.

“Yeah… Bye!” Inuyasha called and he heard Kagome's mom call, “goodnight!”

Kagome and Inuyasha stepped outside, “Well see you tomorrow!” Kagome said with a smile.

“Sure, do you walk to school?” Inuyasha asked.

“Yeah, do you?”

“No I have a car but you made me leave it at school remember?”

“Oh… sorry!” Kagome said with an embarrassed smile.

“So can I walk you to school tomorrow?” Inuyasha asked.

“Okay!” Kagome smiled happily and gave Inuyasha a hug good bye, which this time he slowly returned.

“I'll come by to pick you up around 7:30!” Inuyasha called back as he jumped the fence and waved before he went in his house.

Kagome went up into her room and looked out her window and thought about her new friend. Kagome sat at her desk and looked out the window above it. She could see into the house next door, and in the room adjacent to hers was Inuyasha. Oh my god I can see into his room!

Kagome opened her window, “Inuyasha!” Kagome called loud enough to the Inuyasha's open window, but not to loud that anybody else could hear.

Inuyasha jumped then looked out his window to see Kagome waving to him and he smiled, “Hey what are you doing?” Inuyasha yelled back.

“Saying goodnight!” Kagome smiled.

“Goodnight!” Inuyasha yelled.

“Sweet dreams!” and they both waved and closed their windows and went to bed.

“Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!” Kagome's alarm screamed in her ear. Kagome got up and looked out the window to Inuyasha's room. His mother was waking him up; she was shaking him until he got up. Kagome giggled and went to take a shower, when she came back she closed her curtain, just in case. Kagome put on a baby blue tank top and black Bermuda shorts, Kagome blow-dried her hair and combed it, and she brushed her teeth. Kagome didn't like makeup, so she put on lip-gloss and grabbed her books and put them in her bag.

“Kagome! Grab something before you leave!” Kagome's mom called to her.

“Okay!” Kagome came down stairs and ate a bagel and when she finished she heard the doorbell. Kagome's mom answered the door; Kagome kissed her family and left with Inuyasha.

“It's weird that we can look into each other's rooms.” Inuyasha said when they got out of the house.

“Not really its kind of cool, we can get flash lights and make codes to tell each other stuff!” Kagome smiled.

“That's kind of elementary school.” Inuyasha said.

“It is not!” Kagome argued.

“Fine!” Inuyasha chuckled, “What is one flash?”

“It should be… “Call me now”.” Kagome said, “What is two flashes?”

“Um… “Come over”.” Inuyasha said and smiled, “Three flashes?”

“Lets see… “Emergency” and four should be “ok”.” Kagome said, Inuyasha was getting into this.

“And five should be “no”.” Inuyasha finished, Kagome smiled sweetly up at Inuyasha and he smiled back.

“Hey?”

“What?” Kagome asked.

“Do you want me to drive you to school and back when I get my car?” Inuyasha asked

“Sure! Do you want to do our homework in the library today?” Kagome asked.

“Actually my mom wants you to come over and eat dinner at my house.” Inuyasha said, “So we should do our homework at my house.”

“Okay!” Kagome smiled sweetly

They finally made it to school the talking never stopped between them. Then Inuyasha stopped to talk to one of his friends so Kagome went to look for Sango.

“Kagome!” Sango called.

“Hey Sango!” They hugged.

“So I saw you walking home with Inuyasha and I saw you walking with him today!” Sango teased.

“Its nothing Sango!” Kagome blushed and Sango insisted on details so Kagome described the day Inuyasha and her self shared as they walked to their lockers. “He also lives right next door and invited me to his house today and to drive me to school and back.”

“Wow Miroku didn't do any of that stuff!” Sango looked shocked.

“Is that the guy you went on a date with yesterday?” Kagome asked.

“Yeah, but he's kind of weird… he stares and flirts with other girls and he grabs my butt!” Sango descried.

“Eww!” Kagome teased, “Your not going back out with him again are you?”

“Actually… Yeah! I don't know there's something about him.” Sango sighed dreamily.

Kagome rolled her eyes as they came to their lockers. Inuyasha was walking toward them with Miroku. Inuyasha opened his locker and looked at his calendar, “Wednesday… two days till Saturday.” Miroku put his arm around Sango's shoulders.

“Hey you guys want to do something together?” Miroku asked.

“I don't know?” Kagome said and looked up at Inuyasha.

“Come Kagome I wont go unless you go!” Inuyasha begged.

“Fine!” Kagome giggled and blushed.

The group put away there bags, grabbed their books and headed to homeroom.
