The Day of Prom:
Inuyasha was lying on his bed looking at a picture of Kagome. He was smiling; I get to take the most beautiful girl to Prom today. He put the picture back on his nightstand and got up to stretch. When he walked by his window he saw Kagome waltzing by herself in her room. He watched for a while then he quickly ran down to Kagome's house and knocked on the door. When Kagome's mom answered she was about to say something but he put his finger to his lips to silent her. She smiled and motioned him upstairs. When he got to Kagome's room she was talking to her mirror.

“Yes Inuyasha! I would love to dance!” She said. Then she started phantom waltzing again. Inuyasha snuck into her arms and began dancing with her. She laughed, surprised. “What are you doing here?”

He spun and dipped her, “A pretty girl like you shouldn't be dancing alone!” Inuyasha said.

“Thanks,” Kagome giggled, “I just wanted to practice so I don't embarrass you.”

“You can never embarrass me and besides…” Inuyasha dipped her again and put his face close to her, “You dance just as beautifully as you look.” Kagome smiled and he kissed her softly.

Koga came in, “Hey Kagome…” Koga saw them kissing, “Eww!” Koga kidded, “Get a room!”

They laughed, “We're in a room!” Inuyasha and Kagome said together.

“Well can you guys stop sucking faces long enough for me to talk to Kagome?” Koga asked.

Inuyasha nodded. He spun Kagome then bowed to her and kissed her hand and left the room. Kagome watched him walk away then turned to Koga “Yeah?”

“Well…” Koga said then cleared his throat a couple times.

Kagome was growing impatient and tapped her foot, “Yeah?”

“Ok, well I'm not sure how to do these sort of things?” Koga blurted out.

Kagome tried not to giggle, “What sort of things?” and she sat on her bed.

“I don't know how to act around her!” Koga sighed, “ It's all so formal and Ayame said she wants everything to be perfect!” He sighed again, “What if I mess this up for her? I mean…” Koga looked himself over, “Do I look formal to you?” he asked sarcastically.

Kagome smiled sympathetically, “What Ayame means by perfect is that she wants you to be there for her, she wants you to be yourself.”

Koga nodded, “Thanks Kagome,” Koga said and Kagome hugged him. “You always know what to say.”

At Ayame's house she was checking that she had everything in place for when Koga picked her up. All around the house she was making things perfect. She made her grandfather promise that to only take 5 pictures and to not ask to many questions. With most of extended family living with her she was aseptically nervous.

Ayame walked into her room to find her little cousins jumping on her bed while her older cousin was looking trough a magazine on her bed. A baby was watching from his crib on the far end of the room. “Guys!” Ayame laughed, “I love you to death but… Get out please,” Her cousins nodded and ran away. She turned to her older cousin, “You could help you know, today's really stressful.” The baby started to cry.

Ayame's cousin sighed, “Don't care.” She said and went to the baby and picked him up, “Tonight you'll get so drunk you wont remember what happened,” She pinched Ayame's cheek, “just like your big cousin.”

“Oh please, if I was anything like you Grandfather would have lost faith in me a long time ago.” Ayame turned to her mirror to check if her cheek was red. “I'm not going to get pregnant at Prom like you did.”

Ayame's cousin angrily put her hand on her hip. “Whatever!” Ayame smiled and grabbed her dress from the closet.

“I'm going to get ready,” Ayame kissed the baby, “make sure your son doesn't throw up on my bed again.”

Ayame's family was a very nice, but the newest generation was very different. Some were worst then her older cousin, being married and have multiple children at a young age. It was one of Ayame's greatest goals to be different and making sure her innocent little cousins doesn't turn out the same. Originally most of Ayame's family lived in the big cities with only Ayame's mom, dad, grandfather, and eventually herself in the small town. When her cousins started going bad their parents tried to save them by moving to Ayame's small town. But after Ayame's parents died everybody want to be close so they chipped in to buy a big house so they could be together. But soon reproduction got the best of them and now they're a little cramped. And to Ayame that meant sharing a room with her single-mother cousin and her baby. Ayame sighed but then had to smile when she saw one of her littlest cousins knocking on her bedroom door impatiently. She had her teddy bear and blanket in hand. Ayame kneeled down next to her, “Whats wrong?” she asked.

“Mimi locked me out again!” Ayame's cousin said angrily. She started pulling on the knob of the door.

“Mimi open the door by the count of three or else!” Ayame yelled and started counting. “1…2…” Then a mad little girl opened the door

“Thanks!” Ayame's little cousin said and walked happily past Mimi into her room.

Sango touched the embroidery on her dress gently, letting her figures feel every bead, every thread. She looked her self over in the mirror and spun slowly, loving the way the dress moved. She wanted to look beautiful, but only for one person, for Miroku. She couldn't stop thinking of him. She smiled at her self and took off the dress. She quickly looked it over and but it in it's bag. Still thinking for Miroku she got ready to go to Kagome's. Sango was brushing her hair when her brother knocked on her door. “Sango?” He called.

“Yeah?” She called back as she put down her brush.

“Miroku is on your cell phone,” Kohaku said “He says it's important.”

Sango wondered what it could be, “Okay.” She went to the door and got the phone from Kohaku, thanked him and closed the door again. “Hello?” She said and sat on her bed.

“Sango, we need to talk…” Miroku's voice said.

Sango's breath caught in her throat, his voice sounded somewhat worried, Whats going on? Sango thought to herself. “Okay,” Sango breathed into the phone.

Kohaku walked down the hallway and down the stairs. He was in the daze, he just kept walking, and then I finally occurred that he should sit down. He took his phone out of his pocket and looked at his Inbox, no messages. He closed his phone and sighed heavily. He hadn't heard from Shiori in days, something was wrong. Every time he called her house her parents said she was either busy or out. Where does she go?! I'm her boyfriend she shouldn't have to go out when I'm right here! He threw his phone to the other side of the couch and laid his head down on the pillow. Then he fell asleep.

Kagome waited for Sango to arrive at her house. Their plan was to get ready at her house and have the boys pick them up there. Then they would all go to pick up Ayame at her house. So far their plan wasn't going as planed, Kagome sighed and rolled over on the bed. She glanced at her clock, Sango was half an hour late; Sango has been late before but not this late. She couldn't think straight, she felt like she was going to explode.

Kagome called Sango's house, the phone rang on Sango's bed, her dress lay right next to it. No body answered

Where is she? Maybe Kohaku will know… Kagome called Kohaku's cell phone, His phone rang on the empty couch and the sound echoed in the empty house.

Kagome thought she was going to go crazy! Miroku! Maybe Miroku will know! Kagome hands shook as she dialed Miroku's number, Miroku's phone rang in his jacket pocket, the wind blew his hair as he looked at the screen. He turned off his phone and stuck it in his pocket as he stepped into the train.

Kagome didn't know what to do, where was everybody? She called Inuyasha, “Hello?” Inuyasha's voice said.

“Oh, thank God!” Kagome breathed.

“What? Whats the matter?” Inuyasha asked, worried.

“I can't get a hold of Sango, I called her, Kohaku, and Miroku. Nobody answered!” Kagome said quickly.

“Well calm down, I'm sure she's just busy. Don't get all worried.” Inuyasha comforted her.

“She can't be busy, she's supposed to be here!” Kagome almost yelled and worried tears welled in her eyes.
